#Amazing Spicy Grilled Shrimp

Note
what are kdp, varya & kika's favorite foods?
KDP: she likes spicy food a lot and she's also a BIG fan of soups and dumplings. they also like food that's easy to eat on the go like pitas and just sandwiches (but they love doing something fun with them like adding caramelized onions or poached egg, though regular kolbasa is fine lol). they generally like foods that can be considered a snack tbh, charcuterie boards/tapas/etc etc. also he likes eating green onions, dill and regular onions with salt. just like that.
Varya: she's just a bit of a picky eater as in she doesn't like some very specific things like peas with mashed potatoes. she likes spicy food as well and some of her favorites are different variations of carb dishes (noodles, rice, potatoes) and grilled vegetables. she also has a sweet tooth and loves different kinds of pastries especially baklava. also. she likes bread a lot. any kind of bread. and also cheese. bread with cheese? amazing.
Kika: she's more of a picky eater, though it's very much possible she'll outgrow some of her preferences. she most likes "bread with something inside or on top of it" kinds of food. KDP has to invent more and more variations of it btw, because Kika doesn't like eating the same food for a long time (KDP is also like that but Kika has it worse). they like food that you need to "work" for to eat like ribs or chicken wings or seafood like shrimps and mussels. they don't like any "mushy" food like porridge and also gravy, though they kinda like curry as an exception. and yeah. those two freaks raised another spicy food liker.

Blount Clam Shack and Market, Warren RI.
Whole Belly Clam Roll on a grilled bun with clam fritters and clam chowder.
Shrimp Wrap- fried shrimp with lettuce, fresh salsa, Kick ‘N’Bayou sauce & Cheddar cheese
Another Sunday, Another Clam Shack! ☀️
I love whole belly clams! Maybe it’s the New Englander in me (born and raised in MA) but they are better than clam strips! Don’t knock ‘em til you try ‘em 😉
I love @blountretail 😉 They have delicious, fresh seafood, amazing soups and fresh and frozen foods. It is my favorite Clam Shack on the East Bay 💕
@blountfoodtruck @blountfinefoods
The fried shrimp wrap was delicious. The fried shrimp was fried lightly and you could still taste the shrimp. The sauce was a nice kick too but it wasn’t too spicy, just a nice kick. The wrap was crispy and had a great crunch with the freshness of the salsa. I usually get the lobster roll here, but I really wanted those whole belly clams 🦞
The whole belly clam roll was delicious! Very nicely fried, it was light and you could still taste those clams. I added a little Tatar sauce to the roll and a little lemon for freshness. The clam fritters are delicious with chunks of clams in the fritter. And when you dunk the fritters in the clam chowder that clam taste really pops out!! I really enjoyed this roll and it was a perfect way to end a Summer Weekend ☀️
Based on presentation and taste of the @blountretail whole belly clam roll, fritters and chowder and shrimp wrap I would rate this Clam Shack a 10 out of 10.

Soft asks 6 and 13 please :3
\o/ thank you Germy ♥ (is that an acceptable nickname?) you're so sweet.
6. Say three nice things about yourself (three physical and three non-physical).
Oh ahhhhhhh - lessee.
I'm short (I like that, I'm very clumsy I like being close to the ground.)
I have an adorable nose.
My hair is amazing. It's thick as sin and rod straight and sometimes I think it's sentient, but I really do like it. I shaved it almost 3 years ago, it's in the middle of my back already.
I enjoy sharing and hearing puns. they delight me and maybe it's a little off-task to say that, but it fits to me.
I love my imagination - it can run away with me sometimes, but I'm more grateful to have it than not.
I'm patient - I get riled up every now and then, and I'm an anxious ball of anxiety, but I can be infinitely patient and understanding even if I just want to shake some people until their teeth rattle. It's helped me get a lot of friends through tough times, and keep quite a few situations from turning violent.
13. What's your favorite comfort food?
Ooooh that's a tough one. I'mma cheat a little:
My favorite cheap comfort food is tomato soup and grilled cheese.
My favorite fancy comfort food is sushi.
My go to comfort food when I don't have the spoons to make anything is spicy curry shrimp.

Chicken and rice is a combination that spans cultures and cuisines, and has won hearts across the world. It's a comforting, flavorful, and often economical pairing which takes two commonly available ingredients and makes them greater than they would have been alone. In fact, chicken and rice are such an amazing duo that they're featured heavily in Starch Madness 2023, Serious Eats' yearly event which has 64 rice dishes competing to see which reigns (starchly) supreme.
Below, we've put together a list of our favorite chicken with rice recipes, suitable for cooking any time of year. Your dinner table has never looked better!

El Meson- How to be Spanish
The soul of Spain in the heart of Santa Fe, El Mesón has been serving locals and visitors for almost twenty years. Born in Spain to a Spanish father and American mother, Chef Huertas, opened El Mesón in 1997 to bring the old-world Iberian cuisine and Andalusian family traditions to the City Different. El Mesón offers two dining options. The full menu is offered in El Comedor, or Dining Room. Large oak tables with soft lighting set the stage for your meal, surrounded by reproductions of classic painters, with the strains of Spanish guitar accenting your palate’s Iberian journey.
On the other hand, if you are in the mood for something lighter and livelier, you will find it in the ¡Chispa! Tapas Bar. Reminiscent of an Andalusian patio, this room features Tapas and Live Entertainment. From Tango, to Jazz, to Flamenco there is a beautiful stage showcasing some amazing talent! We offer a full bar, and Santa Fe's best selection of Spanish Wines and Sherries. ¡Hasta pronto!

Buffet Town in Greenhills Offers Unique Buffet Dining Experience
Tumblr media
There are so many all-you-can-eat restaurants around the city, but I just discovered this new buffet restaurant in Greenhills that offers a unique buffet concept combining beautiful aesthetics, sustainable dining, and an unlimited selection of Japanese and Asian favorites all in one charming venue.
Tumblr media
Buffet Town is the newest buffet restaurant that foodies are now talking about. It recently held its soft opening last January 28, 2024 and can be found along Annapolis Street in San Juan, right where UNO Seafood used to be. The Hungry Kat was invited to visit Buffet Town last week and the first thing we were amazed with was the free Valet Parking that was available for guests. This is a very welcome bonus especially inside the very busy Greenhills shopping area.

The restaurant comes with a Japanese-insipred setting and offers a cozy and relaxing dining ambiance for families and friends. It has a very spacious dining area that also has several semi-private rooms for bigger groups. I love the colorful Japanese murals and designs you can find all around the venue.

We were hosted by Michelle Chan, one of the owners of Buffet Town who also happens to be a classmate of my husband, Dexter. Michelle is also the owner of 8 Spoons, a catering business that is a favorite among the local community, and they decided to expand further with their first new restaurant venture.
Tumblr media
So what makes Buffet Town different from the rest? Unlike other restaurants which bombard you with long lines and a pile full of dishes on your plate, Buffet Town lets diners experience more by offering small individual potions served on cute plates. Each station comes with its own specialty dishes and you can simply get the ones that you want to try.
Tumblr media
Let’s start at the Appetizers station where a variety of Korean and Asian appetizers await like the Kimchi, fish cake, spicy Korean chicken, tangsuyuk, and assorted banchan.
Tumblr media
There’s also a Salad Station where you can find specially-prepared salads and greens displayed on the table. Other items include ohitashi okura, kabocha goma, and the popular Nasu Miso which is a baked eggplant with cheese on top.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For those who love sushi, Buffet Town has a Sushi Oasis where you can pick your choice of sushi, rolls, and maki topped and filled with all kinds of ingredients. Items are always replenished quickly at Buffet Town so you don’t have to line up and wait for your servings.
Tumblr media
There’s plenty of salmon and tuna sashimi as well, including some spicy tuna and spicy salmon mixed with tempura flakes. If some of the portions seem too small for you, don’t worry because you can always ask the chefs to prepare your own personalized serving with the quantity and size that you prefer.
Tumblr media
My favorite here was The BT Aburi station where you can ask for a serving of their aburi dish for the day and see it prepared and blow torched at their live cooking station.
Tumblr media
I ordered the Salmon Aburi which was so good especially with its torched cheese melting into the fresh salmon slices. They also had the Beef and Mushroom Aburi which is an item you don’t often expect to see in buffets but rather in high-end Japanese restaurants.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Tempura is always a must-have so you can still get a many pieces as you want. There are also a lot of other fried Japanese items like tonkatsu, fried ika, tori karaage, kakiage, and tofu furai. Offering these dishes is smaller portions also helps in lessening food wastage as diners don’t get overwhelmed when they suddenly get more than they can handle. This promotes food sustainability and helps the industry and the environment as well.
Tumblr media
The Teppanyaki Station is also a popular destination with several dishes to choose from. These can be ordered from the server and they will prepare your dish and deliver it to your table fresh and hot off the grill.
Tumblr media
Here are just some of the items you can find at the teppanyaki station. The Beef and Shrimp Roll Teppan comes in a beautiful plate combining meat and seafood. There’s also the Yasai Itame with its combination of healthy veggies.
Tumblr media
The Mix Seafood Teppan is also a great dish combining tuna, shrimp, and squid with vegetables all in one plate.
Tumblr media
There’s also a Yakitori Station and you can have chicken, beef, king oyster mushroom, or shrimp skewers cooked and delivered to your table.
Tumblr media
Tracing its roots as a caterer, you will also find several cooked dishes on chafing trays here at Buffet Town. Among those on display were the Roasted Hainanese Chicken and Rice, seafood salpicao, steamed suahe, Laing, braised beef, and more.
Tumblr media
The highlight of the buffet would be the carving station where two very meaty items are featured. The Bellychon is a pork belly lechon roll that comes with crispy crackling skin and juicy lechon meat. Add some liver sauce to complete the experience.
Tumblr media
Just beside this is the Angus Lechon Baka, a glorious chunk of roasted beef that is just so delicious with its very tender beef slices. There are really so many dishes to choose from at Buffet Town but I didn't really feel overwhelmed because everything was served with the right portions.
Tumblr media
But if you thought that was all, there's actually even more because each table at Buffet Town also comes with a hotpot bowl where guests can cook their own hotpot items. First, choose two from among the four soup flavors provided including Pork Bone, Sukiyaki, Tomato and Mushrooms, and Spicy Kimchi.
Tumblr media
Then head over to the Hotpot Station to get your preferred items like fishballs, cheese balls, mushroom balls, shrimp, dumplings, veggies, and more.
Tumblr media
Diners can also get unlimited servings of sliced beef and sliced pork so you can have a full hotpot experience together with your full buffet selection. What more can you ask for?
Tumblr media
Beverages are included in the buffet price so guests can have bottomless glasses of fruit juices, chocolate, and yogurt drinks. There's also unlimited UCC Coffee which is something you don't often find in buffet restaurants.
Tumblr media
To make your dining experience even more festive, live dance performances are held every hour or so around the venue, with special numbers for birthday celebrants or those celebrating special occasions.
Tumblr media
To complete your wonderful dining experience at Buffet Town, head over to the dessert station where you can prepare and choose your own Hanami Dessert Box. Customize your box with nine assorted mini Asian delicacies including matcha cheesecake, panna cotta, creme brûlée, fruits, and ice cream with flavors like cheesecake, chocolate, mocha and lots more.
Tumblr media
We would like to thank Michelle Chan for inviting us and hosting our delightful visit to Buffet Town. We really had a unique dining experience that is quite different from how we usually eat at buffet restaurants. It's a great place to meet up with friends and family since you can take it easy and bond over good food and good company. I'm surely going back here soon!

Korean Flavors at Dookki in Alabang
DOOKKI is a Korean Restaurant in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. There are many hotels located around this amazing restaurant. Find out the website here @alabanghotels
Korean cuisine is known for its distinct flavors and rich variety of dishes. Here are some popular Korean foods:
Kimchi: A staple of Korean cuisine, kimchi is a fermented side dish made from vegetables like Napa cabbage, radish, or cucumber. It is seasoned with chili pepper, garlic, ginger, and other spices.
Bibimbap: A mixed rice dish topped with assorted vegetables, meat (usually beef or chicken), and a fried egg. It is served with gochujang (a spicy red chili paste) and mixed together before eating.
Bulgogi: Thinly sliced marinated beef that is grilled or stir-fried. The meat is typically tender and slightly sweet, thanks to a marinade made with soy sauce, sugar, garlic, sesame oil, and other ingredients.
Japchae: A stir-fried dish made with glass noodles made from sweet potato starch, various vegetables, and thinly sliced meat (optional). It is often seasoned with soy sauce and sesame oil.
Samgyeopsal: A popular Korean BBQ dish consisting of thick slices of pork belly, grilled at the table. It is often enjoyed by wrapping the meat in lettuce leaves, along with garlic, onions, and ssamjang (a spicy dipping sauce).
Tteokbokki: Spicy rice cakes cooked in a gochujang-based sauce. It is a popular street food in Korea and can sometimes be accompanied by fish cakes, vegetables, or boiled eggs.
Haemul Pajeon: A savory pancake made with a variety of seafood such as shrimp, squid, and clams, along with green onions and a batter of wheat flour and eggs.
Jjajangmyeon: A Chinese-Korean dish consisting of wheat noodles topped with a thick black bean sauce, stir-fried with diced pork or seafood and various vegetables.
Sundubu-jjigae: A spicy tofu stew made with soft tofu, vegetables, seafood, and/or meat. It is often served bubbling hot in a stone bowl and accompanied by rice and banchan (side dishes).
These are just a few examples of the many delicious dishes you can find in Korean cuisine. The emphasis on fresh ingredients, intense flavors, and communal sharing make Korean food a delight to try.
BEAUTIFUL THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

Howdy!
You mentioned some time back about having lunch at a Mexican restaurant and enjoying the music etc ( I agree and enjoy those artists, too. I suck at Zumba though so I envy your skill).
If ya don't mind me asking, what was your lunch? Enchiladas? Chile Rellenos? Tamales? (I love tamale season) Side of rice and side of beans? Tacos? (my fave from our local taqueira up the street will always be their barbacoa) Tortas? Fajitas? Carne Asada?
Our go to is a small family owned place in our neighborhood and they laugh when I walk in because they know I'm walking out with a Big Gulp sized container of their salsa verde. I think the last time I was in, the owner's daughter immediately spun on her heel toward the kitchen to start ladling it into the cup. It is spicy, fresh and so good I put it on more than just their fare. Their salsa rojo is also delicious, but I prefer the other.
Great, now I'm craving their fresh chips so much I can almost smell them.
What's your fave? For the margs, the place above only serves beer so I don't have margaritas very often. What kind do you like?
I miss my Zumba days! Sadly, my illness has progressed to the point that I can't really move like that anymore (my balance has gone to shit), so I am relegated to the stationary bike I have at home. I also just re subscribed to Barre3, and I forgot how much I enjoy it!
But, the place I had lunch yesterday used to be my favorite Mexican spot, but when my husband and I moved away, they changed owners and it wasn't as good. Now, the old owners are back and it has been restored to it's former glory! My go to is their "Ranchero Special" which is a bed of Spanish rice topped with fajita veggies, chicken, steak, and covered in their cheese sauce. I usually add some of their fresh salsa and scoop it up with chips! SO GOOD. They also have these mixed grill fajitas that my husband and I will share. It has chicken, steak, carnitas, chiorizo, and shrimp and is just to die for. The best part are the charred onions with the little bits of chiorizo. One time we had leftovers with a bunch of rice (my husband gets his own side of rice, lol), so we took the leftover meat and rice and cooked it up with some eggs for some epic breakfast tacos!
As far as the margaritas go, I like a good classic frozen lime margarita. I'm not too big on the flavored ones, but there is this place in New Orleans that has a pineapple and cilantro marg that should not be as delicious as it is.
I grew up in Mississippi, so hot tamales are their own food group for me. We had this place in a shed on the side of the service road called The Tamale Shack, and the food was AMAZING. They also had delicious chili, and they would do crawfish when they were in season. Where I live now, there is a Spanish speaking church across from our neighborhood grocery store, and they sell tamales and tacos for a fundraiser once a month. When I tell y'all that food is fire! And those abuelas make sure you DO NOT leave hungry!
I could talk food for hours, lol. It's my love language.

We tried a new restaurant literally two minutes from our house tonight called Señor Julian. The food was super fresh and delicious! The shrimp quesadilla my wife had looked amazing. I had the steak chimichanga. My kid had a taco and fries. We also had the chorizo Queso dip. The salsa was semi-spicy and had great flavor unlike most places. Being this close to our house is going to be awesome. 10 IT staff business meeting buffet ideas in restaurant
A corporate buffet catering is usually called for when companies organize events or seminars and are planning for a top-notch refreshment for the guests. This can come in handy during training, workshops, etc. The main purpose of organizing a corporate meeting or party is to enhance your business contacts while ensuring that the catering complements your effort.
Bear in mind that the quality of food and service is crucial in corporate catering just like social catering is important. Many professional catering companies that can work with you to create amazing menu options for a buffet. In this article, we will give you some examples of mouthwatering menu items to inspire your corporate buffet.
Tumblr media
1. Mediterranean Grilled Chicken
A fantastic source of protein, it has mildly spiced chicken in a cold, creamy dill sauce, bringing flavors of the Mediterranean to your plate. The warmth that the cinnamon, cardamom, and paprika bring to the chicken breast is traditional. Although nutmeg is often associated with desserts, it lends a punch to savory dishes, much like the adaptable cinnamon. The combination of the spice mixture and the grill results in savory, smokey chicken breasts that are ready to be dipped in a delectable sauce.
2. Barbecue Fish Kebab on Skewer
Any day is a great time to serve kebabs. They provide a wonderful approach to enjoying grilled meat, fish, and veggies. Any white fish will taste better when grilled with our traditional well-seasoned fish kebabs, which are simple to make and flavor any white fish with paprika, turmeric, chilli powder, garlic, and cilantro. These fish kebabs can be served on a skewer by themselves, or you may choose to eat them with rice and other grilled veggies, etc.
3. Garlic Butter Prawns
A favorite among seafood enthusiasts, Butter Garlic Prawns is known for its potent, alluring aroma. Prawns and shrimp are nearly identical in every recipe, notwithstanding a few structural variations. Compound butter used as a flavoring is called garlic butter and is made up of pounded butter and garlic. This is one of our specialty dishes, and it is always delightful with well-deshelled prawns.
4. Hungarian Lamb Ragout
We urge you to sample Hungarian lamb stew recipes. This can be prepared as a delectable dinner of aromatic, creamy, tarragon-infused lamb soup with colorful veggies. Sometimes it is best prepared using cuts that melt over a longer cooking period, producing meat that is genuinely melt-in-your-mouth tender and flavorful.
5. Mixed Vegetables in a Deluxe Medley
At your buffet, this will work as a flexible and nutritious side dish. It is a beautiful combination of your favorite vegetables, enhancing every meal with flavor and color. It will undoubtedly be a hit because it is prepared with savory spices that enhance its inherent goodness.
6. Mediterranean-style rice with raisins
Once more, we propose adding another Mediterranean-style dish to your buffet. This rice dish's brilliant golden color is a result of turmeric seasoning. Curry powder provides complexity, while sweet raisins and umami-rich soy sauce balance the earthy, somewhat bitter flavor of the turmeric. This needs to be on your buffet menu, in our opinion.
7. Fudge and Chocolate Custard Pudding in a Shot Glass
We presume that everyone enjoys nice chocolate. This dessert dish is a gift from chocolate heaven since it is so creamy, rich, and chocolaty. Fudge is a kind of sugary candy created by combining sugar, butter, and milk and then heating it. To get a smooth, creamy texture, the mixture is whipped while it cools. A variety of flavors can be put within or on top, including fruits, nuts, chocolate, caramel, candies, and sweets. At the buffet, these desserts are presented in shot glasses.
8. Golden Vegetarian Salad Roll
The visitors who want a light supper will love these delicate, pastel-colored rolls. They provide a deliciously spicy and nutritious element to your menu. You can pick from a variety of vegetables here. They provide appealing rolls for the buffet, ranging from spicy ones to green vegetable ones.
9. Deluxe Fresh Fruits Platter
Fresh fruit is always a good choice. A selection of delectable fruits that have been sliced and garnished to fit your occasion make up the Deluxe Fresh Fruit Platter. They can contain everything from strawberries to apples to papaya to honeydew melon to watermelon to pineapple to seedless grapes to oranges, etc. They can also include anything else that would add fantastic sources of hydration and nutrients to your buffet.
10. Drinkable Apple Juice
Healthy drinks are perfect for a superb corporate buffet. A glass of apple juice is hydrating, sweet, and tangy with a hint of tartness. It is also nutrient-rich. To lower the number of calories in your apple juice, choose an unsweetened or natural juice since commercially made juices typically contain a lot of sugar. This beverage, among many others, will stimulate a visitor's appetite.
We hope you loved our Corporate buffet ideas. You can count on these menu items to make your buffet experience a memorable event!!!!
