April 2012 redesign because. Even though I never watched 2012 as a child and it has no nostalgic value for me, I still am an avid April defender ONLY because the writers wasted almost all of her potential. So in my brain there are a bunch of little tweaks to her character that I consider canon now lmfao

1- she’s a closeted lesbian with SEVERE comphet. and she’s terrified to reject Donnie or even Casey because she doesn’t want to have to out herself. so she ends up avoiding him and dodging advances, and she does feel bad for it but she’s too afraid to just say no.

2- wears baggy clothes because she doesn’t like it when the boys are weird about her body (because I see soooo much weird shit in the show regarding her body. ick)

3- absolutely had the “not like other girls” phase but eventually grew out of it when she realized that’s a bunch of bullshit and she actually likes being feminine

this is now canon. no April O’Neil slander tolerated. /lh
