Going over the kickstarter page, taking a closer look at the grumpus decks, I was calculating how many cards each one gets, but I noticed something off. At first I thought every one got 8 cards each, but trying to divide up the expert/advance decks, I couldn't get an even number. So I asked on the kickstarter for a confirmation on the exact division, and as it turns out, Cromdo is the outlier with 12 cards instead of 8 like everyone else.
It's so in character too, he's gotta hustle and grift his way to victory lol.
I used the same template as everyone else :3. When I imported in into Procreate the text got all fucked up tho and idk why 💀. I tried to fix it best I could.
A bit late to the party but made a grumpus deck card for my OC!
Credit to @dragonsaltartales for the base!
I'll have to wait till the game comes out to understand how skill cards work, but for now I have a vague idea of how they might play.
Mogo Brittlebones is a pretty solitary grumpus, but their deck focus's around exhanges with others. Basically they're a bit of a bargainer. One risky skill is to offer a bugsnax to another player, and then take 3 random cards from them.
Since there’s a Bugsnax card game coming out (which I am so excited to play, June can’t get here quick enough), I made a card for my sona! Might do more once the game actually comes out, who knows :p
Thank you @dragonsaltartales for the template!
I actually came up with a grumpus deck for her as well!
• Aggroll Attack: Player can immediately eat Aggroll (no other snak) if it appears on the field without use of trap cards.
• Seconds Please! : Take the snak worth the least points and discard it, replace it with new snak.
• Coat Removal: Regain 2 action points. Next turn, gain 1 point boost to all trap cards. It goes away once turn is over.
• You Gonna Eat That? :Steal one person’s snak that they’ve caught, if any, but give them one trap card. If no snax are available to steal, increase a snax difficulty by 1 on the field.
• Guh: Choose the two highest point snax. They are now stunned.
• Outta My Way! : All players receive an injury for this round. You gain 1 action point back.
• Boiled Sheepe: You receive an injury for the next two turns, but ignore any snak status effects for this turn.
• This Time It’s Personal: The player to your left must give you two of their cards. In return, you must give one of yours.
There's now a Retail Tier where you can buy 6 copies of the card game instead of 1. Primarily as a way to help put a new card game on the shelves and sell elsewhere, or if you really want 6 copies cause why not.
There was also a question about when the digital print and play versions of the card game would become available, and they should be ready by early June! (This also includes game keys for the Bugsnax video game too if you backed that tier)
And finally, they also shared another card during the kickstarter update, it's LizEgg! and also one Gramble card they posted on their discord for fun while answering a question (they say the Gramble card is only as bright as it is digitally, because in print, it should be a bit more toned down lol)
(Also just as a side note, I like seeing the description for how some of these cards work. They're honestly giving me a lot of food for thought in terms of game mechanics)
Anyone think that with the bugsnax card game coming out ill be able to ask about the playong cards found in befficas cave <- the answer is no and nobody cares about her game of solitaire besides it beong a symbol of her loneliness
