Basket, EuroLega: Olimpia Milano-Zalgiris 61-66. Dopo la pesante sconfitta contro l’Alba Berlino, la squadra di Messina affronta in casa lo Zalgiris di Maksvytis, squadra lituana settima in classifica e in cui milita l’azzurro Achille Polonara. Il primo quarto coach Messina sceglie un quintetto composto da Baron, Hall, Melli, Ricci e Davies, mentre coach Maksvytis sceglie Brazdeikis, Dimsa, Smits, Ulanovas e Hayes. I primi punti della partita arrivano dalle mani di Pippo Ricci su assist di Davies, dopo una bell’azione, con il 17 che si guadagna il fallo e trasforma il libero. Lo Zalgiris risponde subito con Brazdeikis in penetrazione. Davies prende fallo in attacco e trasforma un libero, ma Brazdeikis rimette tutto in parità. Smits porta avanti lo Zalgiris con una tripla in transizione, la prima della partita, complice qualche errore offensivo di Milano. Hayes guadagna un fallo per i lituani ai danni di Ricci e trasforma entrambi i liberi dalla lunetta. Davies accende il tiro e mette un bel canestro , prima di quello di Smits, che infila subito una bella tripla costringendo Messina al primo time-out della partita. All’uscita dal time-out l’Olimpia ha un paio di occasioni offensive, ma di fatto sono palloni persi e lo Zalgirs punisce con Hayes dopo aver raccolto il rimbalzo. Butkevicius infila un canestro con un bel gancio guadagnando il fallo e completando il gioco da 3 punti, a lui risponde Thomas con la prima tripla per Milano. Il primo quarto di gioco termina sul risultato di 19-9 per lo Zalgiris. Il secondo quarto inizia con il fallo preso da Luwawu-Cabarrot che trasforma entrambi i tiri liberi per l’Olimpia. Taylor risponde subito per i lituani, che in contropiede fanno paura, tanto da conquistare subito 2 tiri liberi trasformati da Butkevicius. La squadra di Messina fa fatica ad offendere e a penetrare la difesa lituana. Tonut spara dall’arco e infila una bella tripla sull’assist di Baron, ma Lekavicius infila 2 punti. Hines vola in cielo e approfitta di un rimbalzo per schiacciare, prima di un altro canestro in contropiede di Tonut che si libera bene con un numero dell’avversario e appoggia a canestro. Il numero 7 milanese si guadagna subito un fallo, ma non riesce a convertirlo in punti. A metà secondo quarto lo Zalgiris fatica un po’ e la squadra di Messina prova ad approfittarne. I biancorossi attaccano bene e con Melli infilano 2 punti dopo aver preso un rimbalzo, per cui viene chiamato un time-out per spezzare il gioco con Milano momentaneamente a meno 6 punti. All’uscita dal time-out i lituani infilano una tripla, ma Melli vola in cielo e successivamente schiaccia per accorciare le distanze. Hayes infila un canestro in post e fa respirare i suoi. Davies penetra in contropiede e guadagna un fallo importante e dalla lunetta fa 1 su 2, ma Hayes segna ancora 2 punti, prima che Davies conquisti ancora altri 2 liberi trasformandoli entrambi. Hayes da sotto canestro è quasi infermabile e segna ogni qual volta gli venga recapitato un pallone. Baron si guadagna un fallo e dalla lunetta non sbaglia i tiri liberi, ma a lui risponde ancora Hayes trasformando a sua volta 2 tiri liberi. Il primo tempo finisce 37-27 per lo Zalgiris Kaunas. Il terzo quarto inizia con una tripla da parte di Ulanovas per la squadra di Maksvytis, alla quale risponde Davies con 2 punti e subito dopo Baron con una tripla. Milano perde palla e Smits punisce in schiacciata. I biancorossi non sembrano rientrati in campo con il piglio giusto. Pippo Ricci, però, non demorde e attacca in post basso regalando due punti alla formazione milanese. Hayes guadagna fallo ai danni di Hall e il numero 8 trasforma entrambi i tiri dalla lunetta. I lituani allungano con una tripla di Smits e costringono Ettore Messina al time-out. Al rientro in campo Luwawu-Cabarrot commette un’ingenuità su Ulanovas e regala 2 tiri liberi ai lituani che non sbagliano. Tonut penetra e guadagna un fallo giudicato antisportivo guadagnando 2 tiri liberi, ma trasformandone uno. Mitrou-Long si prende una tripla clamorosa e la manda a segno accorciando momentaneamente le distanze. Birutis attacca Hines e segna in schiacciata, ma Cabarrot risponde sull’assist bellissimo di Tonut sull’altrettante ottima giocata del numero 7 milanese. Polonara si accende e sigla una tripla di mano sinistra per lo Zalgiris, prima di un tiro libero siglato da Butkevicius e 2 punti di Lekavicius. Milano fatica molto a far male allo Zalgiris che ogni qualvolta attacchi mette a segno punti. Il terzo quarto termina 59-40 per gli ospiti. L’ultimo quarto inizia con una bella schiacciata di Deshaun Thomas prima di un bel canestro in step-back di Devon Hall. Milano prova ad accorciare le distanze, ma non è facile. Il numero 22 dell’Olimpia guadagna un fallo e trasforma un libero sui 2 concessi dall’arbitro, prima di un bel layup di Hines che prova a dare speranze alla squadra di Armani. Hall è "on fire" e manda a segno una tripla clamorosa dopo una bella transizione. Il Forum si accende e prova a dare la spinta ai ragazzi di Messina. Lo Zalgiris a rimbalzo in attacco è micidiale e segna un canestro con Hayes. Hall trasforma un’altra tripla, ma Ulanovas segna due punti riportando lo Zalgiris a 10 punti di vantaggio a 2 minuti dal termine quando coach Messina chiama il time-out. Alla ripresa del gioco Baron segna una tripla delle sue e prova a riaprire i giochi. Tonut penetra e appoggia al vetro un canestro semplice, prima di una tripla di Baron che fa accorciare a -2 i suoi, ma Ulanovas risponde con una tripla che riporta lo Zalgiris a +5. Lo Zalgiris vince 66-61. Milano viene sconfitta anche questa volta e per il discorso qualificazione ai playoff è sempre più dura. Biden is not the only Dem politician involved in the Ukrainian corruption schemes,

John Kerry, the Secretary of State in Obama’s administration, was his partner-in-crime. But Joe Biden was number one. During the Obama presidency, Biden was the US proconsul for Ukraine, and he was involved in many corruption schemes. He authorised transfer of three billion dollars of the US taxpayers’ money to the post-coup government of the Ukraine; the money was stolen, and Biden took a big share of the spoils.

One of the best Ukrainian corruption stories is connected with Audrius Butkevicius, the former Minister of Defence (1996 to 2000) and a Member of the Seimas (Parliament) of post-Soviet Lithuania.

In 2005 he commanded the snipers who killed protesters in Kyrgyzstan, in Georgia he repeated the feat in 2003 during the Rose Revolution. In 2014 he did it again in Kiev, where his snipers killed around a hundred men, protesters and police. He was brought to Kiev by Mr Turchinov, who called himself the “acting President” and who countersigned Joe Biden’s billion dollars’ grant.

In October 2018 the name of Mr AB came up again. Military warehouses of Chernigov had caught fire; allegedly thousands of shells stored for fighting the separatists had been destroyed by fire. And it was not the first fire of this kind: the previous one, equally huge, torched Ukrainian army warehouses in Vinnitsa in 2017. Altogether, there were 12 huge army arsenal fires for the last few years. Just for 2018, the damage was over $2 billion.

When Chief Military Prosecutor of Ukraine Anatoly Matios investigated the fires, he discovered that 80% of weapons and shells in the warehouses were missing. They weren’t destroyed by fire, they weren’t there in the first place. Instead of being used to kill the Russian-speaking Ukrainians of Donetsk, the hardware had been shipped from the port of Nikolaev to Syria, to the Islamic rebels and to ISIS. And the man who organised this enormous operation was our Mr AB, the old fighter for democracy on behalf of MI6, acting in cahoots with the Minister of Defence Poltorak and Mr Turchinov, the friend of Mr Biden. (They say Mr Matios was given $10 million for his silence).

The loss was of Ukrainian people, and of US taxpayers, while the beneficiaries were the Deep State, which is probably just another name for the deadly mix of spooks, media and politicians.
