“Colby.” You whisper as your hands slide up his clothed chest, “We’re going to get caught.” Colby’s hands squeeze your hips and he pulls his lips away from your neck, “I missed you today.”

“Colby have you se- whooooa!” Sam screams and you and Colby freeze, staring at them like deer in headlights, “what’s going ooooon!?”
“Are you-“ Kat stops, shaking her head slightly, “Are you guys fucking dating!?” You laugh nervously, still straddling Colby to block the boner that is quickly working its way down now that Sam has a camera pointed at you.
“Sam. Turn that thing off.” Colby laughs and Sam shakes his head, “I’m vlogging.”

The Cameragirl || snc
Tumblr media
You've been Sam and Colby's cameragirl for some time now. Usually, nothing too crazy happened to you in most investigations, but this time...
warnings: paranormal activity, reader getting attacked, near death experience, strangling(?), cursing, angst?
a/n: took a bit of inspo after watching the boys' video of the asylum, but nothing exactly like it. just the fact that the place is an asylum

As they were making their iconic intro and explaining what this new place was about, you made sure to have a sturdy pulse whilst filming them.
"Today, it's just me, Sam and our lovely cameragirl, Y/n." Colby said, letting you shift the camera towards your face and smile at it.
"Hello there." You said, making sure your face was extremely close to the camera, merely because it has become your way of introducing yourself.
"And since it's only us today like the good old days, we decided to make something fun. ALL of us." Sam explained to the camera and smirked, looking directly at you.
You batted your eyes, looking at them while they kept on smiling menancingly at you. "This wasn't a part of the contract." You said, gaining a laugh from both of them.
You zoomed onto his face and began talking with this soft, almost narrative voice. A voice you very well knew they enjoyed. "What is this oh so fun idea you seem to be hyping about, mr. Golbach?"
"Why thank you for asking." Sam nodded slightly, moving his attention towards the camera. "The three of us are gonna do a little challenge tonight." He clapped his hands together as you began unzooming the camera, putting Colby back on frame.
"That's right, we're going to walk alone, lights out throughout some of the most haunted corridors from this place." Colby continued. "The owners of this place told us it gets freaky when people are alone, so we thought this might get us some good activity."
"We have some cameras with nightvision but we're not gonna see shit." Sam added, "After a while, we all should find our way back to the main lobby."
"So stay until the end to see how that's gonna turn out." Colby says, getting close to the camera before covering it with his hand, making you stop the recording for the cut.
"That was pretty good." You said, looking at the video slightly.
"You're still good with the challenge, right?" Sam asked, looking at you. You scoffed.
"Please. I wouldn't have come if I wasn't sure about it. Remember you told me about it before the video?"
"I know, I know. Just making sure, you know how I am." He laughs. "Wouldn't want you to do something you're not comfortable with."
"You're saying that like we haven't known eachother for how long?"
He chuckles. "You're right. I'm sorry."
"Alright, so since we're all settled, should we start right away?" Colby chimed in, looking at both of you.
"Not yet. This place has some good cinematic potential, lemme cook first." You said, looking around with your flashlight.
"Aight, we'll let you do your thing, I'll go ahead and look for the equipment." Colby said.
"Oh, shoot. I forgot to ask the owners about something." Sam said, taking out his phone.
"Go out with Colby, I'll be here waiting." You said, fixing back your camera to start recording.
"Alone?" They both asked, looking at eachother and then at you.
"I do my best work alone, gentlemen. You know that." You begin walking towards the shadiest corridor you've seen in your life, without even looking back.
"Oh wow. Fearless. She's trying to do the challenge before us." Colby laughed.
"Alright, I'll be super quick. If anything happens, just yell. As loud as you can." Sam said, smiling.
"Copy that." You laughed.
In the blink of an eye, you were left alone. You were used to these type of things, so it didn't bother you much. You've somehow become numb to all of this paranormal adventuring.
And that was one of the main reasons why you liked to take control of the camera, since you were able to keep your cool in stressful situations, making it easier for the viewers later on.
Plus, you didn't know how to act on camera and they were the professionals... allegedly.
Whenever something odd happened, you made sure to try and record as much as you could, in the best angles possible. You liked to joke around and call yourself a professional in your craft, although sometimes it wasn't even a joke.
You were passionate about it. The videos and the ghosts, it was only natural to try and do more, risk yourself to do something more interesting and outgoing.
That's a piece of yourself they loved about you. You were simply a perfect match in their combo.
As you began to do your cinematic, you began to have shivers. A sudden draft of air passing through you, as if a window suddenly opened.
Looking around, there was no possible way of that happening. You were in the middle of the corridor, absolutely no chance of an air draft simply passing through so randomly.
You thought it might've been a bit odd, but nothing you haven't felt before anyways. While you kept on making some videos, an eerie feeling of someone watching crossed over your spine.
The sensation of a presence slowly getting closer to you behind your back.
Almost feeling the heat of another person behind you, towering over you.
Hurriedly looking back, you were met with Sam's hand almost touching your shoulder. He stopped midway, knowing he got caught trying to scare you. "You bitch." You spit out, making him laugh.
"Damn it!" He said mid laugher. "I was so quiet this time, how do you always seem to know?"
"I can feel you lurking closer, you stalker." You looked away from his gaze, trying to ignore the thoughts of his pretty face. You began walking back to where he came from, meeting Colby in the process.
"I'm not a stalker, if anything, I'm protecting."
"Quietly from the shadows, sounds like a stalker to me, but you do you." You smiled softly, looking at the confused Colby.
"I left for a second, what did I miss?"
"Stalker behavior, nothing else." You said, putting your camera up again and ready to record.
Colby shook his head from side to side, already being on your side of the story without even asking further questions. "I can't believe you brother."
"Wha- it wasn't-..." Sam sighed, defeated. He knew you were joking, so he wasn't going to win anyways.
You laughed and pointed the camera at them. "Ready when you are." They nodded and you began to record.
"So as you can see, in our hands we have some devices that we'll scatter throughout this first room. If you've been here before, you'll probably be familiar, but if you haven't, these are basically some motion censor devices that will let us know if something walks infront of it." Colby explained, turning one of the devices on and showing to the camera how it worked.
As they organized everything, the REM-POD immediately began beeping. "Oh, shit. That's the rem pod." Sam said, stopping on its tracks. "That was the temperature dropping."
You made sure the camera caught that as you got closer to it. "Oh fuck. I was feeling a bit cold since we got here." Colby added. "Alright. I think we're ready."
"Okay. If there's any spirit around that would like to communicate with us, we would like for you to use any of these devices we've put up for you." Sam started, as you made sure to get far enough from everything for the shot.
"You can touch these lights on the floor, or maybe this device I have on my hand." Colby continued, pointing towards the EMF reader. "We mean no harm, we'd just like to talk to someone."
A couple of seconds passed, looking around, waiting for something to happen.
"Maybe they don't want..." Sam began, before getting interrupted by the REM-POD beeping, making you hurriedly move your camera angle. "Oop. Nevermind. Thank you very much. Can you do that again if you're here with us? To let us know it wasn't something else?"
Silence filled the room for a while, before the device started to beep once again.
Excited, they began asking questions to this entity, expecting for it to be somewhat intelligent enough to give answers back.
Luckily, it was. It seemed to be someone that died inside the asylum, a woman. Curious about the story of this woman, they kept on asking questions. Some of them being answered, others being completely ignored.
Asides from the constant beep from their device, you heard a knock coming from one of the corridors. Quickly looking around, they stopped talking. "What?" Colby asked.
"Heard something." You whispered. The room went silent, followed by what sounded like footsteps getting closer. You turn the camera back at them and their faces were shocked.
"Holy fuck." Sam whispered.
"That was like... thumps. We're the only ones here, right?" Colby asked him.
"Yeah, we're supposed to be." Sam says, walking towards the place they heard the sound, quietly. You followed close behind. "Hello?"
Nothing. They kept on looking around, searching and at the same time waiting for something else to happen. "There's no one here." Colby says. "But that was clear as day."
"Super clear, the camera must've have heard that, for sure." Sam said, looking at you as you nodded. "That was crazy."
"Yeah, let's try something else but closer to this area, maybe it's more active." Colby said, and all of you nodded.
A couple of minutes later, and you were all set up. This time around, they turned on a spirit box to try and communicate better.
The idea was to first use it as normal, then for Colby to do the Estes Method.
And so, the spirits began to talk.
"What's this." It spat out. Colby and Sam looked at eachother, smiling.
"Hello, this is a spirit box, you can use it to communicate with us. Would you mind telling us who you are?" Sam said, looking around.
"Hello?"
"Hi, hello." Colby responded. "Who are we talking to."
"I'm scared."
"Scared? Scared of what?" Colby asked, furrowing his eyebrows whilst looking at the camera.
"Behind you."
They quickly looked behind them. "Oh, fuck. I hate that." Colby said, as you smiled at their gestures.
It quickly faded away when you felt the familiar presence of someone behind you.
Heart racing, you looked around for a second, but there was nothing there. It didn't mean the feeling went away, though.
"Monster. Care..." It seemed the audio cut before finishing the whole word.
"Monster... care?" Sam asked, confused.
"Or maybe it meant careful? Like, careful of the monster?" Colby questioned.
"It would make sense. What monster are you talking about? Is it harming you? Are you scared of this monster... or... person?"
It took a while before responding. Last thing it said, before a screech filled the radio was... "Run."
Quickly, they turned it off. They looked at eachother. "That was terrifying." Colby said. Sam nodded and sighed.
"Let's try and look around for some other place. This doesn't feel safe." Sam said and everyone agreed.
For the past hour of recording, moving around and joking here and there, you felt a bit uncomfortable. Usually, you weren't the type to get scared over the paranormal, but this place felt more eerie than usual.
You heartbeat has been increasing slowly, as well as a slight pain in your chest that quickly faded. You felt watched.
There was a point where you even felt slightly touched, quickly warning the boys about it.
Due to this, they almost discarted the idea completely, thinking you might be getting targeted, scared that it might do something to you. It took you a couple of minutes of convincing them to keep on recording before the conversation was dismissed.
You tried to brush it all off, as 'something you've felt before', but deep down you were really anxious about it. Perhaps it made you feel better to think about it being just the nerves.
But you weren't the type of person to feel these nerves for no reason.
"Hey, you good?" Colby touched your shoulder and whispered to you, noticing you seemed a bit weird. "You seem out of it today."
"Yeah, I'm good. I was just zoning out."
"Yeah, I noticed." He chuckled, looking into your eyes. "You sure you're okay though?" He raised an eyebrow, seemingly concerned. "You don't look well."
"What? Do I look like a ghost to you?" You asked, smiling, which quickly made him show that gorgeous smile you loved.
"More like you've seen one." You shook your head.
"I'm fine. I've just seen some shadows running in the corners of my eye, but nothing too big to point out."
He batted his eyes. "You've what?"
"Calm down, you know I see those things all the time. It's nothing new." Half of it was true. The other half, well... there was a chance you might've seen a whole figure standing close to a doorframe, but you felt your imagination was tricking you too much tonight, so you didn't say anything.
You weren't a psychic or a medium or something close to it anyways. If anything, you'd probably consider it more like a hallucination due to the constant lack of sleep you've been having lately.
"I know, I know, but still. You could tell us about it, you know? Maybe we all see the same thing you do and since you don't point it out, we don't notice."
You rolled your eyes playfully. You were about to say something, but a breeze passed through your ear, a soft whisper saying "Come play."
You jumped, covering your ear and walking closer to Colby. "Shit." You whispered.
Confused, he held your shoulders. "What? What? You heard something?" His worry was enough for Sam to stop setting the cameras up and walk closer.
"What happened?" He asked. You looked around where you were standing.
"Did you guys not hear that?" You asked, the shook their heads. "I heard something like... right next to me." When you said that, Sam began recording once again.
"Alright, so... apparently Y/n just heard something right next to her." He began explaining to the camera, pointing it at you.
"It was like a whisper, it.. uh... it just said 'come play', like, the creepiest shit you can say. I even felt the air on my ear, that shit made me jump." You tried laughing about it to not let the mood down, but it wasn't working much.
"Although I really want to, maybe we shouldn't do the challenge." Colby said, looking at Sam straight in the eyes, genuinely worried.
"Guys. Come on. Don't back down when we're this close." You said. "We're basically done for tonight, this is the last thing we're doing and we're out, right?"
"...yeah." Sam whispered. "Let's..." He sighed. "Let's do it. Just like she said, we walk through the corridor and come back straight away."
Althought skeptical, Colby nodded. "Fine. Let's hurry up then. The quicker we begin, the quicker we're leaving this place."
And so, everyone held their cameras and said their goodbyes. The three of you went through your respective corridors and began walking, alone, with no light.
"Alright guys. I'm not good at, like, talking to the camera but I'll try." You sighed, pointing the camera at your face while slowly walking the dark corridor.
"Honestly? I'm usually not as creeped out when we come to places like this, but this one is like... up there. It's giving me the chills, making me paranoid, I feel like I'm... seeing thing. Or maybe I'm just sleep deprived. That's... that's also an option now that I think about it."
Looking around with the camera, although it's absolutely useless, you started feeling out of breath. Almost as if the air didn't reach your lungs anymore. "It feels... hard to breathe." You took a deep inhale and shakily exhaled.
You gulped, your throat suddenly feeling dry as the lack of oxygen was evident.
"I'm just gonna walk... faster. I wanna get this over with..." And so, you did. But the further away you got, the worse it all felt. You felt your vision starting to get blurry although you could barely see anything.
You paused as your vision began to get used to the darkness.
At the end of the corridor, what you could shape out like a human figure was standing there. Seemingly the same one you barely saw before.
This time, it didn't seem to go away.
You were also alone.
Unable to breathe.
You don't know when it started, but you were unable to breathe properly. You choked, trying to regain yourself from the feeling.
Your neck feeling tight, your stomach hurting at the sudden feeling.
Putting your hands on your neck, you coulnd't feel anything that would make you feel this way. You started to get worried.
You felt as if you were being choked. You tried to scream, but all that you could spat out from your lips was a soft, quiet, 'help'.
Trying to turn around and walk back, you saw the figure again and got scared, falling towards the floor. You coughed for air, sucking back as much as you could but being unable to.
Leaving the camera behind, you tried to crawl back to where you came from, but the lack of circulation on your body failed you as you coulnd't handle it anymore.
Your body falling on the floor, the camera seemingly recording your movements come to a halt.
Your eyes closing, leaving you unconscious.
It didn't take long before Sam and Colby got back to the lobby. Waiting for you, something seemed off.
They knew the corridor wasn't as long as theirs. You should've been the first one out by that logic. They've been waiting long enough and they were starting to get worried.
Even though the concept of the challenge was to be alone in the darkness, the idea of you being in trouble was too much to bare.
Heck, even if you were pranking them, the anxiety of you not coming back on time was driving them insane, they were ready for a scare if it had to come to that.
But the scare they were expecting wasn't the one they got.
Minutes of walking and calling out your name came to a stop when they saw you on the floor.
Hurriedly, they ran towards you and fell to the floor, yelling out your name. "This isn't funny, Y/n!" Sam yelled, moving your body, only to notice how cold you felt. His heart sank.
"Y/n, come on!" Colby said, putting himself on the other side, looking at Sam. The color from his face was gone when he felt her body. Colby, worried, touched your body and understood why he looked that way. "Oh, fuck. Fuck!"
Throwing the camera to the side, Colby quickly checked your pulse. "Sam. Call 911. This is serious." You still had a pulse, but you weren't breathing. First thing that came to his mind was CPR.
While Sam began to call, Colby was trying as hard as he could to help out. He began doing mouth to mouth, trying to bring some oxygen back to your lungs.
Tears streaming down both of their faces. Colby started making compressions to your chest, while Sam was talking to the 911 dispatcher and using the flashlight to illuminate Colby.
Luckily, they weren't too late. You began to cough and moved to the side to spit out some saliva. You breathed heavily and both of the guys sighed in relief.
As you tried to catch your breath, they softly held you up in place while your color came back to you. You blinked a couple of times, adjusting your view to your surroundings.
When you looked at them, they hugged you tight. "Fuck..." Sam whispered. "Let's get the fuck out of here right now." He held you softly and helped you out, as Colby grabbed all of the cameras.
It was hard for you to walk. It felt as if a ton of weight was keeping you from even standing up. It felt as if your limbs went numb, the lack of oxygen probably acting up.
Sam noticed, and didn't hesitate on holding you up and putting you on his back so that you could rest. They began walking as fast as they could, reassuring you that you will be fine.
You were focused on getting your breath back while listening to them scream at the spirits.
"You are not allowed to follow us home." Listening to Colby talk like this, while taking all of the equipment made you feel light. You started moving your arms and made sure to hold onto Sam, closing your eyes.
"You'll be okay. We're leaving." Sam reassured you, waiting for Colby to grab everything and get out of there in a rush.
After the police arrived and handed you an oxygen mask, you started feeling much better. You had some marks on your neck, like some hands were just squishing the air out of you.
Your body... at first, you could even see your veins pop out of your legs because of your lack of color. The poor circulation that ran through your body for a couple of minutes really drove your body to its limit somehow.
It took you a while to be able to stand on your two feet again, but before the police left you could walk on your own just fine. Sam and Colby however still managed to help you out.
"Let's head back home." Sam whispered to you. You nodded slightly and tried to walk on your own, only to be held up by Colby.
"Don't force yourself right now. You need some rest." He said, taking you back to the car. Your face having a rush of blood because of the gesture.
"I... I can walk."
"Let us do this. Please. It's too much already that you fainted right when we weren't with you." Sam said, looking at you, your heart racing at the look of his blue eyes upon you. You gulped.
"...f..fine." You said, resting your head on Colby's chest, making him smile.

“You look so handsome today.” I smiled sweetly, staring up at Colby.
He glanced away from his phone to me, his brow furrowing sassily. “What?”
“I said you look handsome.” I repeated.
He looked down at what he was wearing: a big t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants. His feet were bare, and his hair was not completely done the way he usually did it: straightened and with a bit of gel to keep it so. He had woken up from a nap an hour ago, his hair losing its flat texture for a more wavy, messy type.
He looked so beautiful, truly. But when didn't I think of him that way? I always found him beautiful, even well before we started dating.
He hid a smile at the corner of his mouth, “Really? I look a mess.”
“Not at all.” I shook my head, stepping closer to him.
He slid his phone into his pocket, locking eyes with me. His voice was low, bashful. “But you always say that about me. That I look nice…”
“Have I ever lied?” I questioned.
He twisted his face jokingly. “I feel like you probably have at least once.”
I gasped, swatting at him. “Absolutely not! You take that back.”
He grabbed my wrist, sliding his hand into mine. A playful smile rested on his lips. “You're too kind to me.”
“Maybe you need to see what you look like…” I pulled my hand from his grasp, taking my phone and pulling up the camera.
“Aww, c’mon babe. No.” He walked around the island in the kitchen, laughing halfheartedly.
I followed after him, “What? You don't want me to take a pic of you?”
“Not really, no.” He shook his head.
“Oh, coming from the guy that takes pics of me when I sleep?” I argued.
He turned to me, still backing away from me. “I only did that twice, and both times you looked so cute.”
I scoffed, “My hair was going in six different directions, and I was basically drooling!”
He grinned, his dimples appearing. “And you still looked beautiful to me.”
I held my breath; damn he was attractive… “Exactly how I feel about you.”
He groaned, covering his face. He stopped moving away from me however, leaning his one hip against the counter.
“Move your hands.” I grabbed his one arm, pulling it down. Both of his hands followed and I snapped a quick pic. His face was still partially covered, his eyes being the only part really showing.
“Maybe next time warn me about the flash. I'm blind now.” Colby blinked harshly, his eyes unfocused.
“Oh relax, you big baby.” I murmured, pulling up the pic. “See! Look how good you look.”
He gazed down at my screen, giving me a quizzical look. “You think I look good?”
I narrowed my eyes at him. He was so stubborn sometimes. “Yes.”
“My hair is so messy. I think I need a haircut.” He remarked.
I bit my lip, staring up at his hair. “I like when your hair is a bit messy.”
“I know you do. I don't, though.” He replied.
“What? I never knew that.” I deadpanned.
He glared down at me, rolling his eyes and walking to the living room.
“Let me take another one!” I called after him.
He huffed, walking through the living room. “No. No. I think we're good with the candids today.”
“C'mon Colby, I whined, catching up to him. “You really do look so nice. Just let me take one more.”
He reached the stairs, ready to go up. “I think one is enough.”
I cut him off, jumping in front of him on the stairs. “Please.... just one more.”
“Why are you so adamant about taking a picture of me?” He snorted.
“I don't know, babe. Maybe because you're my boyfriend, and I love you, and I want as many pics of you as I can get in this lifetime?” I admitted, placing my hands on my hips.
He turned his head to the side. “Really?”
“Yeah. Plus you look really hot.” I added, winking.
He stared at me, his piercing blue eyes playful. He sucked his teeth dramatically. “Fine. But just one more.”
“Okay. Just one more.” I lined my phone up, "Pose for me, baby."
He rolled his eyes, placing one hand on his face, the other on the banister. I took the picture quickly, whispering a perfect under my breath.
Colby leaned over me, looking down at the picture. I smiled brightly. “Aww, this one is so good. What do you think?”
“It's not too bad.” He mumbled, shrugging.
“You'll grow to like it, I bet. Especially since I'm making it my background.” I smiled, already changing it to my background.
He took his phone out, following my lead. “I'm gonna make the one of you sleeping my background then.”
“As if you haven't done that before.” I raised an eyebrow at him, our eyes meeting.
Colby smirked at me. His eyes softened and he leaned in, kissing my lips. “Love you.”
My face warmed at his touch. “Love you too.”

Unwrap Me-Colby Brock

(not my gif)
A/n: I just thought I'd drop this small one. I know Christmas is over, but I got sick over the break and didn't get to finish until today. So Merry Late Christmas to whoever celebrates. I kind of got this idea from an Ariana Grande song. Please relax and enjoy.
-Samantha
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was sitting on the couch scrolling through tik tok when I kept getting videos of girls making outfits out of wrapping paper. I just knew I had to try on Colby. I went to my room to start planning. As I was planning out how I want the outfit to look I got a call from Kat. I picked it up and smiled. " Hey Kat! What's up?" I questioned
" Hey, just wanted to chat." She said
I nodded while cutting out the pieces for my outfit. " What are you doing?" Kat questioned
I replied with, " You know that trend going around where everyone is creating outfits out of wrapping paper?"
She let out a loud laugh while saying, " Don't tell me you're making one for Colby."
I stayed silent while making the skirt. She stopped laughing. " OMG! Oh my god! You're actually being for real."
I let out a chuckle. " Yea, I just think Colby's reaction will be amazing." She was just watching me. " Girl when you're done making it please show me."
I nodded while continuing the skirt I'm still making.
'time jump'
I was just about when I heard someone enter Kat's room. I glanced up to fins Sam. " Hey Sam!" I shouted
He glanced up confused until he saw me through the phone. " Hey Y/n/n. What are you working on?" He said, wrapping his arms around Kat.
I smiled, " Something for Colby, we'll, more for my entertainment." I said laughing at the end
He raised his eyebrows interested in the thing I was making. " Are you almost done?" Kat asked
Right as she asked I finished the very last part of the outfit. I smiled at both of them. " Done." I exclaimed
" We'll go try it on." Kat said excitedly
I smiled and nodded. " Be right back." I said rushing to the bathroom. I was carefully putting it on to not rip it. I heard Kat yelling through the phone. " Girl hurry, I want to see." I let out a soft chuckle while double checking that everything was perfect. I smiled, hyping myself up. I opened the door and stated...
" Okay, Are you guys ready?"
I didn't get to hear Sam's response due to Kat screaming. " I've been ready." I let out a laugh before walking over to the phone. Kat let out a loud gasp while Sam's jaw immediately dropped. "Omg! You look so gorgeous Y/n/n." Kat said hyping me up
I felt my cheeks getting warm. " Thanks Kat."
" Colby is going to die when he sees you." Kat stated
I smiled when Sam smirked. " What's that face for?" He let out a chuckle before saying,"Just so you know Colby just showed up at the house."
I felt myself panic, " What!" I whisper shouted
He just laughed at my reaction. Kat let out a small laugh before calming me down. " Y/n/n don't panic, you look stunning." I glanced at her, " You think so."
She smiled through the phone. " Now go get your man."
I chuckled. " Well I'll let you know how it goes." She winked, " You better." Which made me laugh, we hung up and I started hyping myself up. I took  a deep breath before calling him just to make sure he was home.
" Hey, baby." he said
" Hi."
I heard him let out a chuckle. " What's up, I know you're home."
I let out a small giggle. " I just want to make sure you are home."
" Why?" he sounded curious
" You know, I may or may not have a surprise for you."
" Really!" he said
I ignored his response to ask, " Where are you in the house?"
" The living room." he stated
I smiled to myself. " Stay there."
Before he could say anything else I hung up. I took one last deep sigh before heading down the stairs. I turned on the song which made Colby laugh. " Babe, what is this?" he asked through deep chuckles
Which only made me let out giggles. " It's your surprise, silly." I said walking down the rest of the steps.
" Okay you ready?" I asked feeling nervous
" Babe, what are you nervous about?"
I let out a chuckle. " No reason, I'm coming in."
" We'll hurry up and get your cute butt in here."
I felt myself blush. I slowly walked in and Colby's eyes widened. I felt butterflies swarming in my stomach along with my heartbeat getting faster just from him watching me.
Colby's POV
I was really confused when she turned music on but also kind of excited to see what she had planned.
After I told her to get her cute butt in the room, I was getting pumped up. What I didn't expect was to see her in wrapping paper. My brain froze just watching her. I was speechless, I then listened to the lyrics and smirked. " So you want me to unwrap you?" I saw her blush which was adorable. I got up from the couch and walked over to her. I gently placed my hands on her hips and glanced up and down her body. Seeing her body covered in wrapping paper up closer was even more exciting.
I leaned my head to her right ear and whispered. " I would love to do the honors of ripping this off you."
I pulled back to find her staring up at me with so much love. She wrapped her arms around me and pulled me down to her lips. Once her lips touched mine I couldn't stop myself from going in deeper. She let out a soft groan from the feeling. I felt my hands exploring her body. I pulled away and picked her up over my shoulder. She let out a slight scream. " Colby!"
I just chuckled and made my way to the bedroom. " What for the room cause you will be screaming my name to the whole world darling." I said
Your POV
 I felt myself blush again from his words. I then wrapped my arms around his back so I didn't fall. " Colby..." I mumbled
He tightened his hold on me and responded with, " Yes princess."
I let out a nervous giggle. " Um...the paper might have torn when you picked me up." All he did was laugh, " Well it was going to come off anyway."
The next thing I knew I was softly tossed on his bed with him leaning over me. " I can't wait to rip this off." he whispered
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, I know some of you won't like me for how I ended it, but I rather not write anything with that. I mean feel free to imagine. I know I might be robbing you guys, it's just I don't feel super comfortable writing the whole topic.
Thank you so much for supporting me through the many years I started writing.

How Can it be Over When it Never Really Started?
Tumblr media
Pairings: Colby Brock x Fem!Reader
Warnings: Slight mention of smut, Kat and Sam's break up is discussed (no sides taken), No mentions of y/n
Notes: I haven't written for Colby in over a year so please be kind, I know i'm a little rusty.
The Las Vegas air was hot and sticky as you reluctantly opened the car door, removing yourself from the refreshing air conditioning of your BMW. The car locked with a beep as you tossed your keys into your handbag, rummaging around for a clip to tie your hair back, already feeling uncomfortable in the warmth of the desert. Dry gravel crunched under your converse, the hot sun already kissing your skin as you approached the entrance of an all too familiar house.
Everything looked as it did the last time you’d been here. The overgrown bushes at the side of the house still needing to be trimmed, the walls still screaming for a fresh coat of paint and the lights you’d all hung up for Christmas still dangling from the trees in the yard. But while things looked the same, the feeling was completely different. It was strange, quiet and sad. Any other time before today, you’d have walked in, skipping through the house, singing and dancing, looking for Katrina, but she didn’t live here anymore and that’s exactly the reason why you were here now.
Kat and Sam had broken up three weeks ago, ending their seven plus year relationship which came as a shock to many. While it was mostly amicable, she just couldn’t bring herself to return to the house she had shared with her ex boyfriend to pick up the last of her things. So instead, you had volunteered to go, wanting to make things as easy as possible for her.
It had been a rough couple of weeks for your best friend, the break up hitting her hard and she'd never felt more alone. Kat had been staying with a friend for the last couple of weeks, tying up some loose ends before she left Vegas in the rear view mirror once and for all. You arrived yesterday, driving to Sin City to help with her move back to LA, knowing that she needed you now more than ever. Break ups were never easy and you wanted her to know she didn't have to go through this alone.
Taking a deep breath in, you pressed the ring doorbell, stomach in knots as you waited patiently for a response. Sam knew you were coming, you’d organised it with him yesterday to make sure it was ok, not wanting to completely blindside him upon your arrival. Of course he didn't mind. It hadn't been easy for him either and you were sure he was just as heartbroken as Kat.
“Hey, I’ll be right down.” You heard a familiar voice say through the speaker, your eyes widening upon the realisation that it wasn't Sam. Fuck.
“Oh hey, yeah cool, take your time.” You reply, moving back from the door, tugging at your bottom lip nervously, a sudden feeling of uneasiness creeping up on you.
There was a slight shuffle on the other side of the door before it opened and you were met not by Sam but by his best friend Colby, who you'd slept with two months ago.
“Hey stranger, long time no see." He smiles, pulling you in for a hug, wrapping himself around you. His scent was intoxicating, warm and comforting and you hated how much you had missed being in his arms.
“Hi.” You blush, reluctantly pulling away from him, avoiding his gaze until he closed the door behind you.
“You could have just walked in y’know, like you always do.” He teases as you shake your head, shrugging. “I didn’t really know what to do honestly, I guess it’s just kind of weird now that Kat’s gone.”
“Hey, you know you’re always welcome here, right? That’s never gonna change.” Colby states but you’re not sure even he believes that. You’ve seen how break ups go, how it damages not just the couple but the friends involved too.
“How is Kat? I texted her a couple of times but she hasn’t really been responding.” He frowns, biting his bottom lip. You could see the sadness in his eyes, he was hurting too. You all were.
“She’s doing ok. I mean, she’s devastated obviously but she’ll get there, it’s just going to take some time.”
“Yeah, I can’t imagine what they’re both going through right now. Sam is so quiet, he’s not really talking about it much.”
“Where is he anyway?” You look around, noticing the place was oddly quiet.
“He kind of chickened out last minute. I think he was afraid you were going to murder him, so he went for a run.” He jokes but you know he’s also kind of serious.
“Why would I do that? I mean, he just broke my best friend’s heart, it’s no big deal.” You reply sarcastically.
“Well, if it makes you feel any better, I kind of want to kick his ass too.” The black haired boy smiles and you can’t help but notice how utterly beautiful he looks right now.
“He knows I don’t hate him, right? Like, I wish I did because it would make things a hell of a lot easier but, at least he was honest y’know? He didn’t string her along or cheat on her. I’m just sad it didn’t work out for them.” You admit, holding back your tears.
“I know, I am too, it fucking sucks.” Colby sighs, throwing an arm around you, trying to pull you closer to him but he feels how reluctant you are to lean into him.
“I better get this stuff packed into my car. We’re heading back to LA in the morning.” You say as Colby nods his head, the corner of his lips turning downwards, leading you to the kitchen where Katrina’s things are laid out on the dinning table. There’s not too much left, just some clothes and shoes, bits of make up and unopened post and a framed picture of you all at the beach from last summer when Sam and Kat were still happy and you and Colby hadn’t blurred the lines of your friendship.
“That was a good day.” Colby chuckles from behind you. His hot breath hitting the back of your neck, sending a shiver down your spine.
“Yeah it was. They looked so in love here.” You frown, running your fingers over the picture.
“They were.” Colby agrees, holding the other side of the frame. “You looked so beautiful that day.” He whispers, causing you to shake your head.
“Yeah right.” You laugh, rejecting his compliment.
“I’m serious. Shit, I remember seeing you in that bikini for the first time too. All of the guys were looking at you and that douche bag asked for your number, remember?” He quizzed, causing you to chuckle. You remember it like it was yesterday, the guy strutting towards you while you sunbathed with Kat. He’d been so cocky, certain he was leaving with your number until you ran to Colby, kissing his cheek. Pleading with him to go with it and pretend to be your boyfriend. He did it without a second thought, arms draped over your body, nuzzled into your neck, placing little kisses on your shoulder until the guy got the hint and left you alone.
“Of course I remember, you wanted to kill that guy.” You tease, turning to face Colby who looks at the picture once more. “Yeah, I did. Fuck, I was so jealous.” He curses as you furrow your brows, a little surprised by his admission.
“Why?” You ask, your breath hitching as he takes the frame from your hands, placing it on the table.
“You know why.” He insists, his lips hovering over your own, backing you into the table as your heart fluttered.
There had always been something between you and Colby, an unspoken attraction that neither of you dared to explore until two months ago. The timing for anything other than a friendship had never been quite right, one or both you seeing other people. But he had always been flirty with you, sharing subtle touches or glances when no one else was looking and for the longest time, that had been it. That was until New Years Eve, at a house party hosted by Jake and Tara. Colby had been by your side all night, getting your drinks, laughing and dancing and when the clock struck midnight his lips were immediately on yours, like he’d been waiting an eternity to kiss you. It only took you a moment to kiss him back, his hands finding a home on your hips as you wrapped your arms around his neck, ignoring all the whistles around you, your friends screaming that it was about damn time.
Not long after, you arrived back at the house, the kiss not being enough for either one of you, both of you needing more urgently. Colby had quickly dragged you upstairs, undressing each other before you even reached his bedroom, lips never parting as he pressed you into his mattress. It wasn't what you thought it would be like, it was slow and sweet and Colby took his time with you, afraid he'd only get one chance at this. The next morning you awoke in his arms, limbs still tangled under the sheets until you managed to wiggle your way out without waking him, leaving before you had to have an awkward conversation about the night before.
"Colby, I can't do this right now." You sigh, shaking off your thoughts as you move away from him again.
“Do what?” He asks, raising a brow.
“Do this, whatever this is..” you state as he lets out a deep breath.
“Are we ever gonna talk about it?” He questions, folding his tattooed arms across his toned chest.
“What is there to talk about? It was just sex, wasn't it?" You shrug, causing him to scoff and you swear you can see a look of hurt on his face.
“We both know it was more than that.” He states, staring at you, almost begging you to be honest with yourself.
“When has it ever been more than that for you, Colby?” You argue, taking aim at his long list of conquests.
“When it was with you." He answers honestly, leaving you shocked. “That night when we kissed, I thought that was it, you know? That me and you were finally on the same page about us. But when I woke up the next morning you were gone and I never heard from you."
"I wanted to save you the trouble of telling me it was a one time thing." You admitted, lowering your head, embarrassed to look at him right now.
"That's all you thought that was to me? Do you not know me at all?" The boy asks as you let out a nervous laugh.
"Yes, I know you Colby, which is exactly why I left! I've seen your countless one night stands walk out that door the next morning, hoping that you'll call them again and you never do! You just move on to the next one and I'm not judging you, that's who you are. I just didn't want to be one of those girls that expected more from you." Colby looks at you, shaking his head, a prominent frown on his face as he walks closer to you. This time you don't move, frozen still as he cups your face.
"But that's just it, you're not like those other girls. There's always been something between us, more than a friendship, more than just sex. You make me laugh more than anybody, I don't have to pretend to be someone else when I'm with you. You've seen me at my worst and you got me through it, you Kat and Sam. Baby, I was an idiot for so fucking long, dating people I shouldn't have dated, being friends with people who I didn't even like. But I know what I want now and I want you. I want everything with you." He confesses, as you try to hold back tears.
"Colby, I..."
“What, honey? Tell me what you want?” He asks, his face inches away from yours and you could easily kiss him right now.
You know exactly what you wanted. When it came to Colby Brock, you’ve always known.
You’ve wanted it before he ever put his lips on yours, before you ever let him take you in his bed all those weeks ago and before he ever muttered that you were his as he came deep inside of you for the first time.
You wanted him, all of him but you knew that was something that just wasn't possible right now. Just as you were about to speak, the front door opened and closed with a gentle bang, footsteps approaching the kitchen as you quickly broke apart.
"Hey." Sam spoke, removing his headphones as you placed a loose strand of hair behind your ear. His eyes moved to Colby, who he knew would chew him out for this later.
"Hi." You greeted, moving to give him a hug.
"I'm sorry, I totally just interrupted something didn't I?" The blonde boy questions as you shake your head.
"Yep." Colby nods as you shoot him a look.
"No you didn't, honestly. I was just leaving." You reassure Sam but Colby takes your hand. "Please, don't go, we still have things to talk about."
You bite your lip, eyes focused on Colby as he pleads with you to finish your conversation.
"I really need to pack Kat's stuff."
"Hey, it's ok, I'll take Katrina's things to your car and leave you guys to it." Sam says as you give him a thankful nod. Once he's gone, Colby moves towards you again, his hands finding yours as you look into his ocean blue eyes, trying not to fall deeper than you already have.
"Colby, you know how I feel about you. Jesus, I was never good at hiding it." You joke, earning a small laugh from him as his fingers circle your palm. "But, right now, Sam needs you, like Kat needs me. We can't be together when they're like this, still heartbroken and lost." You state, beginning to choke up.
"Why not?" Colby questions, raising a brow.
"Because if we're together and one of them eventually moves on with someone else, it's going to get messy. They'll fight about it, they'll ask us to take sides and then we'll fight about it and probably break up and both be miserable too! Everything's just too complicated right now, not to mention we'd have to do long distance because I'll be in LA and you'll be here and–" You ramble on as Colby places his forehead on yours.
"It kind of sounds like you've already thought about this a lot." He teases, as you wrap your arms around his waist.
"Being with you, is all I ever think about." You whisper before he captures your lips with his. For a moment, you finally give in to him, melting into his touch as he deepens the kiss, sliding his tongue over your bottom lip before he slides it into your mouth. He swallows a moan from within you, pressing you up against the counter as you grab his shirt, trying to pull him impossibly closer.
"Fuck, you're so beautiful." He groans, placing wet kisses on your neck as you throw your head back. Suddenly, your phone vibrates in your pocket and you know it's Kat checking up on you. You had asked her to call you to make sure you didn't accidentally end up in Colby's bed upon your arrival and you were sure you would have ended up there if not for your best friend saving you at the last minute.
"Colby, shit, it's Kat." You whine as he finally detaches his lips from your skin. Once you told Kat everything was ok and that you were on your way, you hung up, both of you attempting to catch your breath.
"I really have to go." You state as he nods his head, pulling you close once more.
"Look, I know you think things might get complicated but that's only if we let them, right? I want to try and make this work, I want to be with you no matter what happens between them. I've honestly never felt this way about anyone before and I don't want to lose you." He confesses, kissing your hand as your knees almost go from under you.
"I don't want to lose you either." You reveal, a tear sliding down your cheek as he wipes it away.
"So, can we do this? Me and you, like officially?" He asks, grinning like an idiot as you shake your head.
"Slow down Mr. Brock, you haven't even taken me on a proper date yet." You tease as he kisses you again. "Oh, so it's like that huh?"
"Yeah, it's like that." You chuckle.
Well lucky for you I'm coming to LA next week, so how about I take you out then?" He suggests, as you wrap your arms around him.
"If we do this, we take this slow ok? Start with a couple of dates and see how things go?" You suggest as he nods in agreement.
"Sweetheart, we can go as slow as you want, just give me a chance to show you how happy I can make you?" He begs but you already know the answer.
Yeah, Colby Brock was a risk worth taking.

I'm not scared! Colby Brock x MotoGPDriver! Reader Part 3
Plot: You made a tweet about Sam and Colby and were in a podcast and they brought up Sam and Colby where you talked about the paranormal and how it doesn't really scare you because you drive motorcycles at over 200mph.
Credit to misscalliopecruz for the GIF
A/N: I have made up a place in the UK for them to investigate as I have specifc haunting I want to happen, and if I'm talking about an actual haunted location I would rather be accurate out of respect for that place. More ghost stuff in the next part!
Tumblr media
Sam and Colby spent most of their time around the garage. They were excited watching as you told them all bout your bike.
They also loved seeing you race, they'd never experienced something where the adrenaline wasn't for fear or excitement of themselves like they normally got on their investigations.
As they watched you go round the high speed turns, your leg so close to the floor, or any time that you bike wobbled a bit when you broke too quickly and the apprehension of whether you would fall off and crash out.
But you didn't, and you actually won the race on the last day with the boys cheering for you. You rushed over to them, pulling your helmet off your hair being a little frizzy from the sweat across your forehead.
You jumped into the arms of Sam and Colby pulling them into a huge hug.
"You were fantastic out there!" Sam grins and shakes your shoulders.
"When do you race in the US! We have to watch you at home!" Colby admits.
You celebrated a home race podium, there was something always so amazing about standing on the top of a podium listening to your national anthem in your home country.
You sprayed the champagne and were drenched by your colleagues.
For the rest of the day you celebrated with your team and Sam and Colby. You guys travelled to London and spent the night going between bars clubs and casinos.
Sam and Colby ended up crashing in the spare bedroom in your apartment because you were all so drunk from the celebrations and they couldn't make it back to the hotel without you and they refused to let you walk back alone.
You woke up the next day with a massive headache and walked straight to the kitchen. You completely forgot about the boys in your spare bed room and didn't bother changing or fixing your hair. You walked out pulling some paracetamol out orange juice to try cure the insane headache.
"Y/N?" a groan from behind you on the sofa calls and you nearly drop your glass from shock.
"Colby? Fuck!" you exclaim looking at him sprawled out across the sofa, he was shirtless and you could see all the tattoo's going up his arm, chest and back.
"Mmbhhg" he groans rolling over.
"I forgot you were both here" you sigh before pouring two more glasses and looking at what looked good to potentially order the boys for breakfast.
"I feel like I've died, you podium celebrators really know how to party" he groans wrapping the fluffy blanket you had laying across the back of the sofa. Colby finally turns his eyes onto you and his eyes bulge wide seeing the attire you were in.
"Sorry, I forgot you were here, if I'm being honest but I'll change and we can wake up Sam and order food!" you explain.
"No need, I'm already awake!" Sam grins walking out seemingly completely hangover free. He heads over to the arm chair next to the sofa.
“What the hell, you look like you didn’t even drink last night!” You exclaim looking over Sam’s seemingly fine and not hungover demeanour.
“And you look like someone who forgot they had house guests over” he admits, smirking at your T-shirt and undies combo you were currently sporting.
“Well, this is my house and you guys crashed here so I’ll wear what I please! I’m going to go shower, but here’s my phone order food whatever you want” you grin looking at them before rushing off to your en-suite.
You take a shower, washing your hair from all the champagne grime and club sweat that had built up and make sure your face was completely clear of makeup.
You scrub all of the grime from your body making sure you were in too top condition to go collect the food and to potentially make some content with Sam and Colby.
“Im back, what did you guys order?” You ask with a big grin on your face and they both look over at you guilty.
“We went with McDonalds but we haven’t ordered yet because we didn’t know what you’d want!” Sam smiles.
“You also had a few messages come through. We tried not to read them but they kinda popped up and stayed there a while. One was from Lando Norris, saying Congrats same as George Russell and ‘Mum’, I’m guessing for yesterday. The other one was from your Jack Miller about going for drinks some time?” Colby almost asks and you take the phone of them, thanking Sam.
You add your go to McDonald’s order before hitting verify payment. You phoned down to your reception letting them know you ordered food, which they normally offer to bring it up for you as it’s a security risk as there’s a lot of high profile people in this apartment block.
“Lando and George are my Motorsport friends. They race in F1. I think mum is self explanatory and you both met Jack Miller yesterday but I doubt you’d remember that” you giggle knowing you’d introduced them to your teammate early on at the club.
“Oh he’s your teammate right?!” Sam offers having a more clear memory of the night that you or Colby.
“Last night was wild” Colby says rubbing his eyes.
“Mmm what can I say, once the champagne is popped we don’t stop” you cheese at the phrase you’d picked up from George when you first met him.
“Is it alright if I just grab a shower and freshen up?” Colby asks and you just giggle nodding him to Sam.
“Im sure he can show you to my facilities considering he’s used them”
“How do you know I’ve used your shower?” Sam inquires raising an eyebrow at you.
“I mean, your hair is still damp and there’s no way you put on fresh clothes without a shower” you admit folding your arms over one another.
He jokingly grumbles out about you catching him red handed before showing Colby in the direction of the spare bedrooms bathroom.
Eventually you guys are sat in the living room in front of Colbys laptop looking at locations that you might potentially be able to look at and do an investigation at in such short notice.
You were sat so close to Colby, and now that he was showered you loved how he smelled like your home. He’d obviously used your bathroom products and you couldn’t help but lean closer to him at the comforting smell mixing into his general aroma.
“How about here” Colby says pulling up the website of a place.
“Dannamore Castle?” Am I saying that right. He asks looking to you. You didn’t expect your faces to be so close when he did and a blush immediately forms on both your faces at the awkward closeness you both hadn’t expected.
“Better than your pronunciation for Chillingham Castle that’s for sure!” You joke having watched all their England videos.
“It says here that there are over 50 active spirits that roam the halls of Dannamore Castle with Drake Dannamore being one himself” Sam reads out.
“Woah, that’s kinda an active spot” you smile looking at the location on a map.
“Yeah over 50 is crazy!” Colby offers and you shake your head.
“No no it’s on a leyline intersection. See” you say pulling up a map on your phone showing them and both the boys grin.
“Oh I like the idea of this already!”
“Let’s read some more about it and I’ll make some calls” Sam smiles pulling open some more tabs.

breaking the distance. |c.b|
Tumblr media
summary: You and Colby have been dating for nearly two years, enduring long distance and making the best out of time zones and chaotic work/ school schedules. The two of you knew one day the distance would be shortened to where there would be no more planes needed to see each other, and date night could finally be more than just facetiming and watching a movie together at the same time. One of you just happened to know it would be happening sooner rather than later.
~*~*~*~*~*~
No one ever expected Colby and I’s relationship to last, and I couldn’t really blame them. On the outside looking in, It seemed like it was a storm waiting to happen. Colby, a very well known social media content creator, constantly traveling and investigating new locations with his best friend in and outside the country, and lives on the west coast of the united states. Me, a non social media content creator, studying emergency paramedicine, lives on the east coast, and never even had a passport until two months ago. The main thing people always loved to throw at us was the distance. ‘Why date someone who lives a 5 hour plane ride away, when there’s plenty of people here in the same state for you to choose from?’
I personally didn’t fully expect us to be where we are right now when I met Colby over two years ago. It’s crazy how things happen though, how quickly you connect with a person. It’s as if I’d known him my whole life, as if I was connecting with an old friend I hadn’t seen in years that night at the bar. We talked and talked for hours, the rest of the crowded bar tuned out and all I saw was him. Colby and his friends he had traveled to the east coast with a few days later after we first ended up coming over to my apartment for a game night after constantly texting and getting to know each other more. Ironically, one of his friends that came with him, I knew from my childhood. Talk about a small world.
The buzzing of my cellphone in my hand snapped me out of the daydream I was in. A smile quickly spread across my face as I spotted Colby’s name on the caller ID before answering.
“Finally waking up, Mr. Brock?” I smiled as I held the phone to my ear.
“I’m so sorry beautiful, I slept through my alarm. I totally planned on waking up earlier to be able to talk to you in case you began to stress over your exam today.” His morning voice was something that always caught me off guard, the deep rasp. It always made me yearn for the day I’d be able to hear it in person, and not over the phone.
Of course over the past two years we’ve met up and spent time together, however it was usually when him and Sam were on a trip to film or when I had a small break between semesters at school and could afford to visit him.
“It’s okay Colby, I promise.” I smiled to myself and attempted to contain my excitement as I scanned the empty apartment once more. “I’ve been just cleaning and relaxing on the couch. I think if I tried reading any more of my textbooks my eyeballs might fall out of my head.”
Colby chuckled as my apartment door swung open, and I quickly muted myself as Seth, the friend of Colby’s that I’ve known since childhood came in. “Who’s ready to mo- oh shit, are you on the phone?” He quickly covered his mouth with a hand.
“Yeah, with Colby.” I giggled before giving him a ‘shh’ and taking myself off mute.
“You’re going to do great. You always do great. This is the final bridge needing to be crossed and then I’ll be able to have you in my arms every night and hear about the crazy encounters you have at work in person. God, I can’t wait for that to be real, beautiful. I miss you so much.”
“I can’t believe that it’s finally here. Just this semester and then I’m done, graduated, nationally registered to work anywhere in the country. By the way, My supervisor reached out to the base that’s not far from where you live, and they have an open paramedic spot that is up for grabs.” I bit my bottom lip and glanced at Seth who also shared the same nervous look.
I’ve always hated lying, and lying to Colby these past few months have been absolute torture. But he’s always the one surprising me, I wanted to finally surprise him. I ended up taking an earlier program that Colby didn’t know about, which allowed me to graduate and become a paramedic three months ago. However, Colby still thought I had another two months to go. During this time since finishing school, I’ve been working and studying protocols for the state I’d be moving to, coordinating with Sam on shipping my stuff to Vegas from New England without Colby seeing the boxes, selling stuff I don’t need to bring, and basically getting ready to move to Vegas. Of course, Colby knew this day would be coming, as we have a whole checklist we share on google docs to make sure we have everything lined up for when the day comes, He just doesn’t know it’s happening sooner. Or that I’m going to be there, in like 12 hours.
“Baby, Is it okay if I let you go? I can call you back later. I have to bring my phone to the apple store, I finally got an appointment to get my battery fixed.” I ran a hand through my hair, constantly reminding myself mentally the lying would be over soon.
“Oh good, I’m so glad you got that appointment babe, I have to get going anyway. Sam and I have to go meet up with some friends to film a video, but text or call me as soon as you finish your exam okay? I love you.”
After saying goodbye and hanging up, I groaned and laid back on the empty granite counter. “Dude, no wonder you hate lying. Thank god that wasn’t a facetime call or one look at your face and Colby would see your face and just know you were hiding something.” Seth chuckled and I flipped him the bird.
“Can we go get coffee before we head to the airport? This whole not having my own car thing sucks.” Seth chuckled once more before nodding and holding out his rental keys that I snatched out his hand before he could speak. “Yes, I’ll drive. You drive worse than my grandmother.”
~
“Now boarding Group A.”
“I’m really flying to Vegas without a return ticket.” I mumbled as I handed my ticket to the flight attendant at the gate. I glanced over my shoulder at Seth who stood behind me, laughing. “You’re finally moving to Vegas. Which means Sam and I won’t have to hear Colby talk about how much he misses your voice all the time and try to figure out what haunted places we could go see near where you live.”
“Are you sure he won’t question why my phone is off for over five hours? I mean we don’t talk on the phone all day every day, but we usually check in over text to say Hi and that we miss each other or something. I don’t think a phone battery replacement would take five hours.” I buckled my seatbelt once Seth and I got to our assigned seats. “You seriously worry too much.” Seth patted my hand as he smiled. “We’ve got it all figured out. He isn’t going to have any time to check his phone with what they’re filming.”
“This is going to be a long ass five hours, Seth. This is why teleportation should be a thing. I could already be there, with Colby.” I sighed as I turned to look out the window, anxiously tapping my foot on the ground. Seth laughed and out of the corner of my eye, I spotted him hold his phone out to take a photo.
“Don’t you dare post that.” I looked at him wide eyed, which caused Seth to laugh more. “Relax, It’s a video. For memories.” I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms across my chest. “Should I yell it out now that you’re a paramedic, just in case there’s a medical emergency?”
“Don’t you dare. I’m too nervous to provide any care, nor do I want to start my career as a medic off by taking care of someone on a plane. Why aren’t we moving yet?” I peered up and around the seats, huffing as I noticed not everyone was seated.
“God this is going to be so funny to look back on.” Seth mumbled as he put his phone down.
~*~
“I’ve got all your stuff in the storage unit, and your car should be arriving in the next few days.” Sam smiled as he drove Seth and I from the airport. Colby was back at the house editing and thinking Sam had just gone out to get food for the two of them. “It’s really good to finally see you, by the way. Colby is going to lose his mind.”
“I’m so nervous.” I mumbled looking out the window of the car and taking in the change of scenery. “He thinks I’m still in my exam right now.”
“Oh I know. Dude is a love sick puppy right now.” Sam laughs and gives me a smile. “Once we get to the house, I’m going to go inside to ask Colby to come out and help me grab some stuff from my car, but in reality it will only be you.” He added while Seth readjusted the camera on the dash of the car. I nodded and prayed we’d be arriving at the house soon.
Once at the house, I laid down in the back seat of the car to hide until Colby came out. “Yeah it’s on the passenger side in the back, If you can just grab it for me as well as the camera!” Sam called out, signaling that Colby was coming my way. Before I knew it, the door was swung open and I quickly sat up and smiled as my eyes landed on Colby. “Surprise!”
Colby stared in shock for a moment, eyes wide with confusion. Next thing I knew, He was grabbing my legs and pulling me out of the vehicle and up into his arms. My arms quickly wrapped around his neck, resting my head on his shoulder and wrapping my legs around him as he held me. “What is going on?” Colby yelled out, turning to glance at his friends back at the doorway before slamming the car door and moving so I was pressed against it and using one of his hands to pull my head back so he could see my face. “You have an exam?” His eyebrows furrowed.
“Baby.” I laughed softly. “Oh my gosh I’ve absolutely hated lying to you. I graduated early, That’s why I was so busy over break and couldn’t see you. I didn’t tell you because I wanted to surprise you by being able to finally be here sooner than you thought.” I cupped his face in my hands and blinking back tears as I finally got a good look at him. “I can’t believe I’m here.”
“I missed your graduation?” He frowned, resting his forehead against mine. “I’m so confused baby.” He quickly closed the distance between us and kissed me gently. “But dear god have I been dying to kiss you.” He mumbled against my lips.
“No, It was a winter graduation so there’s no walk you didn’t miss anything.” I kissed him once more. “But I’m here. no more distance. It’s finally broken.” I ran a hand through his hair as I stared into his blue eyes. Colby pulled me closer once more and began kissing me again, deeper this time before beginning to head towards the house. “You guys should probably head our for a while.” Colby mumbled as he passed Sam and Seth, his gaze still set on me. “Already planned on it. We’ll be back later. Welcome home!” Sam called out as Colby walked away from them, still carrying me. I let out a small laugh and began kissing Colby’s cheeks and playing with his hair at the nape of his neck.
“I can’t believe you lied.” Colby fake pouted as he gently tossed me on his, ours now, bed before climbing on top of me. “But it was so worth it.” He mumbled before kissing me. “Now it’s time for me to welcome you home.” He smirked.

You sat in your room, tears cascading down your face. You were currently living with Sam, Kat, and Colby in one large house. You and Katrina did have your own rooms, but they had been transformed into small office spaces where you both could do work from home or anything you needed to do without distractions around. Your office space did involve a small single person bed for the nights where you would get lost in work, or so overloaded that you would stay locked away in there. But Colby did have a key to your room and would usually carry you away to his room. That was where you normally stayed, since you two had been dating for so long. It was typical by now for any couple to be comfortable with sharing a room. So you two did.
Today had been your 25th birthday, Katrina being your closest friend had planed you a big party inviting all the friends you had made over the last few years. Seeing everyone was so great, especially Jake and Tara. Even though they were no longer together, they still were my close friends. On a scale they would sit together right below Katrina. As the night went on, I had become more and more frustrated. There was still no sign of my boyfriend, the one person I should have been guaranteed to celebrate with.
It was only 3 hours into the party when he posted on his instagram. It was him and Stan, they were hanging out together at some random bar or nightclub. I didn't pay attention that much, only that Colby was with Stas. That he forgot my birthday and had gone to a bar with another girl without telling me before hand.
Some may think that is insecure and jealous of me to expect him to tell me when he hangs out with girls. However when both of us are popular YouTubers who have fans watching and theorizing about our every move on a daily basis. Honesty about where we are and who we are with is the best way to keep our relationship happy and stable. I was already getting spam from comments trying to tel me Colby must be a cheat this time for hanging out with Stas on my birthday without me. They knew I wasn't there cause all of my friends and I had made a post about my party. Them wishing me happy birthday on different socials.
After seeing that text, I had begun overly drinking trying my best to get wasted. Jake, Tara, and Kat were keeping close eyes on me the whole time. Sometimes they tried to slow me down, or calm me down, anything that would get me to stop pushing myself. Sam had even told me that he was on my side about this whole mess up from Colby. He was trying his best to get in contact with his friend. But all of that was to no avail.
Which is why I now laid in my bed, locked away in my own room. I had stolen Colby's key to my room from him. He always kept it in the same drawer in his room. It was rare that he needed to use it so he always left it in the same place. I had thrown it onto my desk with my own key after locking the door.
It had been 1 hour since everyone told me goodbye and left back to their homes. I stared at my ceiling, the time I had spent crying had finally begun to lull me to sleep.
However when the front door opened, I could hear the footsteps of someone coming closer and closer to my room. When they tried the door handle, that is when I knew it must have been Colby. He tried knocking on the door, but I continued to ignore his attempts.
I even heard Sam talking to him. "Leave her alone Colby" He said with venom dripping from his voice. "You fucked up, and while you do owe her an apology and explanation, she had an emotional breakdown. You know what that means right? Maybe you don't since you had the audacity to forget such an important day. Well she went and got herself wasted, I was sure she would blackout or throw up in a matter of minutes after she started. So even if she was awake, she would be in no way able to talk to you." Sam finished. "But I-" Colby started but sam cut him off. "she could barely get up here by herself Colby. Jake, Tara, and Kat had to convince her in anyway possible to stop drinking and go to bed. You know what she talked about the whole time?" Sam asked. I heard another pair of footsteps come up, Katrina. She spoke finishing Sam's story for him. "She started to talk about everything she 'thinks' is wrong about herself. Don't you remember how many guys broke her heart like this Colby? You and I were her closest friends at the time. The way she came running to us back then, well that's exactly what happened tonight. She's in there probably covered in tear stains thinking the worst of herself. Until she found out where you were, she would ask us if we had heard from you yet. In a room of all her favorite people she still looked for you. She wouldn't have cared if you were just late, she just wanted to celebrate her birthday with you." I heard Katrina scoff before continuing. "And to think, she had spent a week preparing for your birthday, spending all of her time that day with you just last month. You couldn't even remember her birthday."
Sam spoke up once more. "Colby we are so disappointed in you, You better fix this, make it up to her. For now though, just go to bed and leave her alone for the night. She deserves that much from you." Colby said nothing more before walking off. Sam and Katrina also leaving to their room moments later. My body slowly gave out only a few minutes later, succumbing to the sweet release that accompanied well earned sleep.
When I woke up the next morning, my head had a dull small ache. Looking at myself in the mirror across from my bed. I saw that I looked like a mess. So I got up, changing into a pair of sweats and a random hoodie of mine. I then brushed out my hair and put it up into a messy bun. Checking myself over, I grabbed my phone and room key before heading out. I locked the door behind me, before waltzing down to the kitchen. I was in need of some water, I felt the dehydration buzzing through my system.
Turning the corner into the kitchen I saw Sam and Katrina. Across from them sat Colby and Stas. Colby looked like he slept horribly, Stas never once faltered the smile on her face. Katrina was scowling at them but gave me a sympathetic smile. Sam was the one to speak seeing me. "Hey y/n, there's some water bottles in the fridge for you. We left some medicine to help with the hangover on the counter over. The two burgers next to it are also your to help the hang over." He pointed to the counter where the meds and burgers sat. I nodded. "Thanks Sam."
Within the next two steps, Colby was already trying to get up and come over to me. "Y/n I'm so sorry-" I put my hand up towards him and he stopped mid step. "Now is not the time Brock, We will talk later, not while I'm suffering from a hangover. Especially when I have barely had any real time to process what the fuck you did last night. So sit you ass back down and continue with your conversation that I so terribly interrupted." He returned to his seat sadly, watching me with worry.
With that Stas got up coming over to me. "What is your problem y/n? he's just trying to explain himself, he deserves more respect from someone who just let their insecurity take over on some random night." I shook my head and rolled my eyes. She didn't deserve shit from me. In the next second my head was forced to the side, my left cheek slowly increasing in a hot burning sensation. The others yelling at Stas for slapping me. When I looked back at her, I watched her face fall from the angry smirk she gave me. I looked at her with the exact same blank stare I was giving her before. No reaction to her actions like she wanted.
"Actually Anastasia, I wasn't insecure about him being with you. I could care less because I know Colby has long gotten past whatever minuscule amount of adoration he held for you. The only girl he wants to be with is me. What I am upset about is that my boyfriend, forgot my birthday and instead spent the day with someone else. He could have hung out with anyone else in the world, I would still be the same way. Oh but keep trying to steal him away sweetie, maybe if you are lucky enough he may change his mind. However if you have a brain behind those eyes, then you would know to give up now and move the fuck on." I spoke to her in the same dead flat tone that my face showed.
I picked up my burgers and meds, grabbed a water bottle and walked out of the room. On the way back up to my room I could hear Kat yelling. "Stas, get the fuck out of our house. I don't want to hear from you or see you for a long time. Maybe until you know how to get your act together and move on from your hopeless love. Y/n used to be your goddman friend, how could you hurt her happiness just cause e you were crushing on her man!? Nope! Don't even try to explain yourself right now! OUT!" I smiled, I was glad to know that Kat would pick me over her without hesitation. I never wanted her to have to pick between me and Stas when the two of us fell out. But right now, it was nice to know someone had my side.
I opened the door to my separate room and went in. The door shut behind me as I sat down at my computer. After taking the meds, I began to edit some footage for a vlog I had gotten last week. Occasionally I had some bites of burger, this was how I was going to destress and calm down from that whole interaction. About 30 minutes later there was a knock at my door. "Come in." Glacing back I saw Colby open the door and peek in. "is it really okay for me to come in babe?" I sighed. I would have to get this over eventually.
"Alright, I can take a break, come in and sit." I turned around and watched him walk slowly over to my bed sitting down next to me. I looked at him and spoke first. "You have 5 minutes tops to explain yourself or whatever you wanted to tell me, then it's my turn to talk without interruption no matter what I say." He nodded and began.
"y/n, I am so sorry for what I did. I completely forgot the one day a year to celebrate you and just you. I wasn't actually planning to meet stas that day, I was actually attending a sponsorship meeting for Sam and I. She texted me asking if I had time to go to the bar with her and hang out. After that long and boring meeting I was in need of a stress relief. But this isn't my excuse or my way to push the blame of me. It is my fault for forgetting in that moment about you. I promise you that I love you and only you. Whatever it takes and no matter how long it takes, I will make it up to you. I only want to see you happy. I'm sorry." With that Colby finished what he wanted to say.
I took a breath and began my speech. "Colby I can forgive your forgetfulness but it's gonna take a lot for me to forget it. Right now I just need you to be honest with me, Do you still want to be with me or not? If you have lost the feeling we used to share then we can end it right now, it will hurt a lot less." Colby shook his head. "No! I love you please don't say otherwise." I sighed at his words. "Okay, then you better stick to you words cause I have spiraled for the last 12 hours, I didn't know if I could ever try love again had you really lost love or worse cheated. I have been through that too many times. You are literally my last hope." I felt ears brim and fall from my eyes again. Colby's expression softening more.
He held his arms open and I hesitantly fell into them. He slowly moved to lay us together on the small bed meant for one person. He pet my hair as I cried into his shirt. "I'm so sorry for making you feel this way. I really fucked up. I will make it up to you. I will show you how much I love you, how desperate I am to be with you, all the reasons I love you. I will do this till the day I die. I love you y/n" His words slowly soothed me to sleep. Cuddling with him as we both napped in each others arms.

summary: Colby comes home from The Conjuring House for the second time and you decide that going down memory lane will give him some peace of mind.
Tumblr media
(gif not mine!)
There was something about fear that had always intrigued you but lately, you’d garnered more and more of it, not for you, but for your boyfriend. He had continued his journeys and adventures to haunted places and you could tell it took a toll on him. He had most recently visited The Conjuring House for the second time. You had reassured him that you would go with him but he told you not to. He said to you that it was best if you stayed home. You didn’t want him or Sam to go and stay there alone. It worried you to death, and honestly, you knew a part of him was worried too.
He had called you when the morning came and you could tell how exhausted he was. It broke your heart that he did that so much, but you knew he loved what he did and worked so hard. You just wanted him to have a break every now and again. You could hear through the phone that the night had not gone very well for either of them and you just couldn’t wait for them to get home. All you wanted was to have him back in your arms and when he finally got home you knew it was going to be a rough few days. It was something he showed no one but you, how truly scared he was.
The sound of the door opening caused you to leap out of your bed and quickly walk down the hall. Your apartment wasn’t the biggest but it was home, and to Colby, it was a truly safe space for him. You could see the bags under his eyes as he looked at you. Your heart broke at the small, tired smile on his face.
 “Hey baby,” he said and you immediately engulfed him in a hug. He instantly wrapped his arms around you and buried his face in the crook of your neck. “I missed you, Colby,” you said softly and cradled his head while gently letting your nails scratch his scalp soothingly. His hands were splayed across your back gently pulling you closer to him.
“I missed you too, so much,” he said and slowly pulled away from you. You placed your hands on his cheeks while his stayed on your back. “You seem, tired love,” you said and let your thumb trace soft lines under his eyes. He hummed quietly and closed his eyes. “Just a little,” he admitted. “Why don’t we get you comfortable, and we can lay in bed and watch whatever you want?” you asked. He nodded his head slowly. “Yes please,” he sighed and you leaned up to kiss his cheek. You felt your heart break at the sight of him so exhausted both mentally and physically. It always hurt to see him in a state like that.
You interlaced your hands and tugged him to your bedroom. “Do you want to take a shower?” you asked softly as you sat him on your bed. “I took one before I got here,” he said and you nodded, “Alright, well I have your clothes here for you,” you said and rested them next to him.
“You know, I really did miss you,” he blurted out and you looked at him with a soft gaze.
Stepping in front of him and between his legs, you set your hands on his shoulders. He wrapped his arms around your waist and rested his head against your stomach. You moved your fingers through his hair.
 “I missed you too, so so much love. I miss you every second I don’t see you,” you said and leaned down to kiss his head. You felt him place a kiss on your stomach before pulling away. “I’m glad you weren’t there though,” he said and your brows furrowed a bit. “And why is that?” you asked, still, softly running your fingers through his hair. Sweeping it from across his eyes, so you could fully see those beautiful blues. “It was one of the scariest nights in my life,” he told you and your gaze softened.
“Well, it’s over now and you’re home. You’re safe here,” you told him and smiled softly down at him. You could tell that he still had a bit of tension and so you had an idea.
“Love,” you said and gripped his chin lightly to make him look up at you. “Hmm,” he hummed in acknowledgment. “You put these on and I’ll be right back ok?” you asked and gently swiped your thumb over his bottom lip. You could feel him smile a bit and it made you smile too. “Ok,” he closed his eyes and nodded his head. You leaned down and kissed him softly before moving to walk out of the room. “(y/n), wait,” you heard him say and you turned around. “I love you,” he told you and you smiled brightly at him. “I love you too,” you said before exiting the room.
You heard a soft sigh and shuffling. Your heart ached to see him so worn out, but you knew something that always made him feel better. It was something you didn’t do often but when you did you could always see the gleam in his eyes that made your heart skip. You thought it would be a good idea to go down memory lane for a while.
You went to grab the photo album that was sitting on your coffee table from when you looked at it the other day while he was gone.
You picked it up and smiled knowing all the memories it held. It was such a special thing for you both and you were always adding to it.
You walked back to your room to see the door open and Colby lying on the bed with his face smooshed against your pillow. You chuckled softly, “Colbs, I have something for you,” you said softly and sat on the bed next to him. He opened his eyes and sat up a bit. “What might that be?” he asked. You placed the photo album in front of you and you saw his eyes light up as a smile eased its way onto his lips. “We haven’t looked at this in forever,” he said and picked it up. “Right, and you know what else you haven’t seen?” you asked with a big grin. “What?” he asked with a raised brow.
“I have collected some things over the course of our many years together. And I think it’s time you should see them,” you said and moved to your closet to pull down the box. He looked at you with a big grin and the softest gaze. “You have a box full?” he asked almost in disbelief. “Yup, plus some things scattered around the room,” you chuckled. Glancing at the sticky note on your vanity from a random note he left you.
You sat back down on the bed and set the box between you. “Alright, the album first,” you said and scooted closer to him. You nudged the box aside so that you could curl up next to him. He wrapped his arm around you and pressed a kiss on your head. He opened the book and there on the first page was one of your first pictures together. It was a group photo from a while ago, it was Colby, Sam, Jake, Corey, Kat, and you. “That was forever ago,” he said and sighed. “Yeah, that was when we were awkward around each other and they forced us to stand together. Neither of us knew what to do so we kind of kept a distance and smiled,” you laughed at how awkward the two of you were. “Yeah, you have no idea how nervous I was,” he told you and you looked at him in mock surprise. “Really? I thought you were just weird,” you said and he rolled his eyes. “You were nervous too,” he said and poked your side. You squirmed a bit and he chuckled. “I was actually, I mean standing so close to literally the most handsome guy on earth is pretty nerve-wracking,” you said and looked over at him with a teasing grin. You could see the blush on his face. “Oh shut up,” he said and nudged you. You chuckled. “It’s true!” you defended. He just chuckled and shook his head.
You looked at the other page and laughed out loud, it was you and Sam on your birthday. You could tell that you were tipsy and you were both in the middle of laughing at something. Big smiles were on your faces and tears from laughter were shining in your eyes. You had a birthday crown and made him wear a feather boa.
“I love that one. You took it, remember?” you asked and looked at him. He nodded his head, “I looked at you and knew I needed to remember that moment. My best friend and the girl I’d fallen for. I mean, that’s my favorite picture of you two,” he told you and you smiled up at him. “Well just to let you know, I’d fallen for you too,” you said and leaned up to kiss his cheek. “Oh really?” he asked with a raised brow. “Definitely, I don’t know how anyone could’ve stopped it,” you said and he leaned down to kiss you softly. He pulled back and you rested your head on his shoulder as the pages flipped. The next one was of you two after you had gotten together. You had gone out with friends just to hang out for the night and your feet ended up hurting because of the heels you wore.
---
He sat you down on a bar stool and kneeled down to take your shoes off for you. You smiled sleepily at him. He chuckled, “Let’s get you, home babe,” he said and kissed your knee softly before getting back up. “Yeah, we’re gonna head out too, see you guys!” Sam said as you all walked out of the bar. Kat chuckled at how sleepy you looked, and how adorable it was that Colby was holding your shoes for you.
“C’mere,” Colby stopped for a second before scooping you up into his arms to carry you the short walk to the car. Kat quickly reached for her phone and took a picture making sure to send it to you. You fell asleep with your arms around his neck and your head resting on his shoulder.
---
“That was a really good night,” you said and chuckled at the memory. “I swear you were about to fall asleep standing up,” he said and you both laughed. “I did fall asleep when you picked me up though,” you said and he held you tighter. “Yeah, you did. I promised myself that you would always trust me to carry you home,” he said and you smiled up at him softly. “I trust you more than I trust anyone,” you told him and he swore his heart melted.
He took a glance at the box by your feet, and you noticed. “You wanna see the box now?” you asked. He nodded excitedly. “Yeah, I really do,” he said and you chuckled.
You grabbed the box and set it down in front of you both. Opening it you smiled when you saw the ticket from the first movie he took you to see. You had so many memories just sitting there in one space that it was almost overwhelming. In the best way possible.
“You have the movie ticket?” he asked in surprise. “Of course, I do. That was our first date,” you said and picked it up. You handed it to him and he held it like it was one touch away from disintegrating. He quickly set it down when he noticed a flower petal, “What’s this one from?” he asked. “Remember that night I called you crying about my dog passing away a few years ago?” you asked. He nodded his head, “Yeah, I remember that,” he said. “You came over as fast as you could. You brought me flowers to cheer me up,” you said and smiled fondly at the memory. “I tried so hard to find the best ones,” he recalled. “Well you did, and now I have that memory forever,” you said and pressed a kiss to his shoulder.
“This one is my favorite,” you said before picking up a tube of lipgloss. He looked at you in confusion. “Do you know what this is?” you asked with a big grin. “Lipgloss?” he asked and you laughed. “It is lipgloss. It’s the same one I was wearing when you kissed me for the first time,” you told him. His eyes softened as he looked over at you. You had kept it all these years, you had kept so many things over the course of your relationship and it just warmed his heart that you loved him so much that you didn’t want to forget a thing.
“C’mere,” he said and took the lipgloss and put it back in the box. You looked at him in confusion, “is everything ok?” you asked as you closed the box and set it on your nightstand. “Of course, everything is fine. Just c’mere,” he said and tugged your arm. You moved closer to him and he grabbed you gently placing you on his lap. You smiled softly at the look in his eyes. They were bright and so gentle.
“I can’t believe you keep those things,” he said and ran his hands up and down your back. “Of course I do, everything, even if it’s small it’s a memory with you and I want a piece of that memory forever,” you said in sincerity. Placing your hands on his cheeks you let your thumbs sweep under his eyes. His eyes were shiny and glossed over with a layer of unshed tears. You smiled sadly at him.
 “Why are you gonna cry my love?” you asked as he shut his eyes tightly. Tears streaked down his cheeks, the droplets hung from his lashes when he opened his eyes. “ I guess I just didn’t know that a movie ticket could mean so much. Seeing all these things makes everything come flooding back. It makes it all so vivid. It made me realize how much I want to make memories with you forever,” he told you and you smiled softly.
 “Well then, now you know, and starting right now I promise, that we’ll make memories forever no matter how small, and I’ll keep them all not just in my heart, but right in there,” you said and pointed at the box. He wrapped his arms around you tightly and you nuzzled as close as you could. “I love you (y/n),” he said and kissed your head. “I love you too Colby,” you said and pulled away slightly so you could place a proper kiss on his lips. Your arms were around his neck and his hands were placed on your face, gently holding you in place. His hands were warm and his lips soft as ever. If there was one way he showed his love to you it was through his kisses. It was one thing you couldn’t live without and you were sure you’d never have to go without them.
He pulled away and sighed. “I hope you know that most of the memories we make for the next few weeks will be here, right here, just you and me for as long as time will let me have you to myself,” he said and you giggled softly. “I don’t know if you remember this, but you have a home too you know? Plus, you have editing to do, so we can’t always be here,” you teasingly pointed out. He sighed heavily and rested his head on your shoulder. “I don’t care, these next few weeks it’ll be me and you. I don’t care what we do or where we are. Just me and you,” he told you and you smiled tenderly at his words. “Just me and you,”

You groan as the covers of your bed get violently ripped off of you. At the foot of your bed, Sam is standing with a shit-eating grin, blankets in one hand and a camera in the other. Colby on the other hand, pulled your curtains open. You immediately bury your head in the pillow in an attempt to escape the sudden light.
“Is this some sort of prank? Or just straight up torture?” You whine, earning a laugh from both of the boys.
“Sweetheart, it’s almost 2 P.M.” Colby deadpans, and it’s a good thing that your head is hidden in the pillows, because your face immediately heats up at the nickname.
“So?” Your voice sounds muffled but the annoyance is evident in it.
“As you guys can see, Y/N is not much of a morning person.” Sam says, probably to the camera, and you flip him off without looking.
“We’re going to the Drayman’s Manor. Wanna come?” Colby asks and his voice makes you turn on your back to face him. You gaze into his blue eyes just a second too long before answering.
“On one condition though…”
“Anything.”
“Really?”
“No.”
You sigh. “Gimme the blankets back please?” You plead, and make grabby hands at Sam. Colby almost aww’s out loud at the sight of you pouting just for the covers.
Sam laughs and throws the material over you, covering you from head to toe. “Alright. We leave in an hour!” He shouts before exiting the room.
You push the blanket away from your face, and see Colby still standing there.
You raise your eyebrows at him. “What are you still doing here?”
“I wanted to make sure you actually got up, knowing you.” He replies and you laugh.
“Good point.” You get up and walk towards your dresser, and Colby has to physically restrain every atom in his body to look at anything but you. Your hair was messy, your eyes still sleepy and the sleep shorts you were wearing made Colby’s mind wander to places it probably shouldn’t.
You turn and face him again and giggle at his expression. “Cat got your tongue?” You tease, bending over to grab something and purposely pushing your ass out a little more.
Colby clears his throat awkwardly and starts walking to the door. “I’m gonna-… I’m gonna wait outside. Yeah, I’m gonna do that.” He says, whispering the last part to himself.
--  time skip cuz im lazy
A couple of hours later you were standing in front of the Drayman’s Manor, together with Sam, Colb and Kat. Sam began the video and introduced you and Kat, and after that you headed inside to meet with the tour guide. Before you got in though, you swear you saw something move on the first floor, behind a window. Blaming it on fatigue, you shake your head and continue walking.
Colby, however, had noticed your discomfort and gently took your hand in his own. “Are you okay?” He asked. You gave him a smile that didn’t quite meet your eyes and replied. “Yeah, I’m just tired. All good.”
Colby seems hesitant, but you had reached to house and the tour guide was coming your way so he joined Sam to film.
“Are you okay with us filming?” Colby asks her.
“Totally! We get a lot of people here who want to document their time here, so it’s no problem.” She replies kindly.
Polly, the guide, immediately takes us up to the first floor, supposedly the most haunted one.
“As you may know, James Drayman bought this manor in the 1850’s for him and his wife, Laura. It was supposed to be a loving family home, but, naturally, it wasn’t.” She says, and Kat shivers.
“How did he afford this place? I mean, it’s a really big house, and I understood that James and Laura weren’t exactly that rich.” Colby asks and Polly nods.
“Correct. James really wanted to do something special for his newlywed wife, so he thought to surprise her with this home. He couldn’t afford it at all, but he somehow managed to convince the seller that he had some sort of loan going on, and he was able to move into the place. However, after a while, it became clear that James didn’t have a loan or the money at all. So he started to force Laura to bear his children, whom he later sold on a market downtown as slaves.”
A/N: I completely made this place and story up and I have no idea if this is historically accurate so just bear with me here, it’s just a story
The whole group fell silent, processing what she had just said.
“His own children?”  You ask to no one in particular. Just then, a cold breeze moves past you and Kat turns to you with wide eyes.
“Did you feel that?” She asks and you nod. “Yeah, almost like a door opened and now the air is flowing in here now.”
Sam and Colby look at each other. “I didn’t feel anything.” Sam says and Colby agrees with him.
“James is known to target women who come here, so…” Polly trails off.
“Oh my god!” Sam shouts and turns the camera to us.
“Why is it always us?” Kat says dramatically and we all laugh.
Polly then takes us to James’ room, old wooden floors and tapestry on the walls. The air immediately felt way thicker here.
“Is it me or is it hot in here?” You ask.
“Yeah no, I feel it too now.” Colby says.
“James tried to keep it a secret that it were his children that he was selling, but as you may expect, a lot of people who worked here knew what was really going on.” Polly says. “Laura had no power whatsoever. She didn’t want to get rid of her children in exchange for money, so one day, she hid a pregnancy from James. How she did that, we don’t know, but she succeeded and gave birth to a girl named Marie. Laura kept Marie hidden for years and when she was old enough, she ‘hired’ her to work at the manor so she could stay close to her.”
“Did Marie know James was her father?” Sam asks.
“Yes, she did. And this is when the story becomes tragic.” Polly says slightly sad, and leads us to Marie’s room.
“After a while, James grew suspicious of Marie. Probably because she had such a close relationship with Laura. He eventually found out that she was his daughter, so he decided to kill her. One night, he came into her room here with some sort of metal pipe. He hit Marie until she died. You can still see the marks on the wall here.” Polly says and she points to the evident holes in the wall.
We once again fall silent, shocked by the actual evidence that was still here.
“It’s almost like he raised the pipe above his head and just went berserk on her.” Sam says quietly, getting closer to the holes in order to get a better shot of it. Polly nods and remains silent for a while, letting us process what had happened here.
“Sadly, that is not where the story ends.” Polly says. “Laura walked in here, and when she saw what had happened, she ran from this room all the way to the other side of the building, towards the kitchen. Come on, I’ll take you there.” She walks out of the room, leading us through what seemed like a complete maze of hallways.
“Y/N.” You hear someone say, so you turn around and look at Colby with raised eyebrows.
Colby looks just as confused. “What?”
“What’s wrong?” You ask. “Why’d you say my name?”
Colby’s eyes grew wider. “I didn’t…”
Seeing as Colby was the last of everyone, you had assumed it was him.
“Oh.” You frown and you feel this wave of stress wash over you. Colby reassuringly puts an arm around you and kisses the top of your head. “It was probably nothing, right?” He says, seemingly also trying to convince himself. You, on the other hand, weren’t so convinced yet. You had heard the voice clear as day.
Trying to forget about it, you catch up with the rest of the group.
“James followed Laura all the way to the kitchen, and in a moment of rage, he took a knife and stabbed his own wife. Then, realizing what he had done, he sadly ended his own life with the same knife.”
“Damn.” Kat mumbles.
“We still think that it’s weird for James to turn on his wife like that. There’s enough evidence to suggest that he genuinely loved his wife a lot, so researchers started to think that he probably had some sort of mental illness.” Polly finishes the story.
“I understood that you wanted to stay the night here?” She asks.
Sam nods. “If that’s possible, yes.”
“Certainly. There are rooms possible for you to stay in at the end of this hallway.”
----
After getting dinner, we went to our room where we would be sleeping to set up the equipment. After setting up the EMF reader, it immediately spiked to orange and everyone freaked out.
“That’s never happened before!” Colby shouts.
“It hasn’t! It normally takes like minutes for it to even spike up a little bit, we’ve never had it spike up that much that quick!” Sam says excitedly. He grabs the camera and after explaining what had happened, he recalibrated the EMF reader just in case, but the same thing happened. Kat set up some flashlights in case there was actually something in the room with us.
“If someone’s here setting off this device, could you please step away for a second to let us know you’re here?” Sam asks, but the EMF reader was still spiked up to orange.
“Did you work or live here? If you did, could you please step away from the device or turn on one of these flashlights? Just tap them and-“ You start, but before you could finish your sentence, one of the flashlights turns on and the EMF reader turns off.
“Okay, thank you very much. Is it okay if we ask you a few questions?” You ask and almost immediately, the flashlight turns back off again. You shiver and sit a little closer to Colby. Sure, you’ve come on investigations before, but you never really get answers like this.
“Thank you. We’re going to use the red flashlight for no, and the blue one for yes. Does that work for you?” Colby tries. Blue flashlights.
“Did you live here?” Kat asks. Red flashlight.
“Did you work here, then?” Sam tries, but no response. We asks a couple of other questions, but we don’t get a response anymore so we decide to try to go to another room. Marie’s room, to be exact.
“Woah…” You suddenly feel nauseous and stumble a bit. Colby rushes to your side and lightly holds you up by your waist.
Sam and Kat just share a knowing look.
“Are you good?” Colby asks concerned.
“Yeah, I just got dizzy. That was weird.” You say and you assure Colby that you’re fine, but his hand linger on your body for just a second too long.
Sam sets up the music box by the door, and pulls out the Ovilus.
“Alright guys, this device here is called the Ovilus. This way, sprits can come up here and talk into it and it’ll give us clear words.” Sam explains.
“Is there something here with us?” Colby asks, and the music box goes off for a split second. We all share a look before moving on.
“Could you maybe give us a sign of who you are? A name, a job, anything.” Colby continues. “ You can come up to this device here and talk into it, that way we’ll be able to communicate.”
“Labor.” The Ovilus spits out after a while.
“So you worked here?” You try.
“Children. Money.”
“Maybe it’s James and he’s talking about his children? He sold them to work, for labor, because he needed money.” Kat suggests and the music box goes off again.
We freak out and Sam’s signature ‘oh my god’ could be heard.
“That’s one of the clearest responses we’ve ever gotten.” Colby says in awe.
“Could you maybe give us any other sign? We heard that you like to touch people, why don’t you prove that?” Sam says.
For a while, nothing happened. But then, for a split second, a clear image was in your mind. A family picture, a man, woman and a daughter. You shoot up and almost fly straight into Colby’s arms, terrified and eyes watery.
“Hey, hey, what’s wrong angel?” He soothes you. His hand gently runs through your hair, the motion calming you a bit. Kat and Sam are looking at you, worried.
You clear your throat and turn in Colby’s arms, facing the others. “I- I’m probably crazy but suddenly I had like this picture clear in my mind, of a man, woman and I think their daughter.” You say, voice shaky.
“What the hell…” Sam mutters.
“Did you make our friend see that picture?” Kat asks.
“People. Show.” The Ovilus says.
“It showed you people?” Kat thinks out loud.
“That’s terrifying.” You say, a shiver running down your spine.
“Are you good with continuing the investigation?” Sam asks and you nod quickly. The last thing you wanted was for their video to be ruined just because you got scared.
After not getting any response in the kitchen, you decided to move onto James’s room. Again, just like on the tour, you immediately felt uncomfortable.
“For the final investigation of tonight, we’re going to do something called the Estes method.” Colby explains. “Sam here is going to put on these noise cancelling headphones, so he can get the clearest responses to the questions we’re asking.” Everyone sat on the floor in a circle like shape, and Sam put on the headphones.
“Is there anyone here with us?” Kat asks.
“Present.” Came Sam’s voice, almost immediately.
“Can you tell us who you are? A name, job,…” Colby says.
“I own this.. and then something.” Sam says.
“I own this house maybe? Is this James?” You whisper, but somehow still loud enough.
“Yes.”
“Holy fuck.” Colby says.
“Alright James, if this is you, could you give us one more clear sign?”
“Murder. Kitchen.” Sam says.
“That’s so fucking clear.” Kat says, astonished.
“James, it is true that you needed to have more children in order to get money?” You say.
“Work. House.”
“He needed them to work so he could pay off this house.” Colby wonders.
“Yeah.. something, I didn’t really get that.” Sam says.
Kat and Colby ask more questions, but you zone out. You’re not sure why, but your eyes are drawn to the hallway. There, in the doorway to the hall, there was something that you never thought you would see. A shadow figure with a hat on, at least six feet tall was standing there, just looking at you. You are so terrified that you freeze on the spot, unable to look away from the figure. You are unaware that by now, your friends are trying to get your attention.
Suddenly, without a warning, the figure moves closer to you quickly and before you know it, it had somehow passed through you. You let out a gasp before you felt your eyes rolling to the back of your head, and everything turned black.
“Y/N?” Colby says as he sees you looking at the door for a while. He turns around himself to look, but there’s nothing there. When he turns his attention back to you, he sees your eyes grow wider before they roll to the back of your head and you’re falling to the floor. Luckily you were already sitting down so you couldn’t hurt yourself that badly.
Colby’s heart is beating so loudly that he thinks the others can hear it too. He cradles your face in his hands and try to stop tears from falling.
“Y/n? Y/n/n, please open your eyes for me sweetheart. Can you hear me?” He tries. In the meantime, Kat had taken Sam out of the estes method.
“Do I need to call an ambulance?” Sam asks, slightly terrified.
“I don’t know, Sam! What’s happening to her?” Colby shouts. He’s terrified, he can’t do anything but hope that you wake up.
“Y/n, please. I love you, just open your eyes for me. I know you can do it.” He pleads. Both Kat and Sam were worried as hell, but they could clearly see how affected Colby was by this. They had never seen him this way.
After what seemed like an eternity, your eyes flutter open and you groan.
“Y/n? Oh, thank god. Can you hear me?” Colby asks.
“What happened?” You ask groggily.
“You passed out.” Kat says, clearly relieved that her best friend was okay.
Colby helps you sit up, and immediately envelops you in a hug. “You scared the shit out of me.” He breathes. Images of the shadow man you saw flood your mind again, and you break down in Colby’s arms, letting the tears flow freely.
“Shh, angel, you’re okay. I got you, everything’s okay.” Colby says gently, kissing your forehead.
“I want to get out of here.” You whisper, and Colby immediately nods and helps you up. “We’re going home sweetheart, don’t worry.”
Sam and Kat give you two some space, staying behind to gather up all the equipment.
Once outside, you finally feel like you can breathe again. The cold night sky feels good against your skin and you close your eyes for a second. Colby gently cups your cheeks and you open your eyes, finding his blue ones looking at you with nothing but worry.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” He whispers. Still at a loss for words, you just stare at him blankly. Your eyes flicker to his lips and back up again. Colby seemingly gets the hint and leans forward slowly, giving you every time in the world to pull away, but you don’t. He gently presses his lips to yours, his hands moving from your face to your hips, pulling you closer to him.
Once he pulls away, you cant help but let out a giggle that makes Colby smile.
“There’s the laugh that I love.” He says and you smile up at him. “I’m so glad you’re okay.” He say quietly, pulling you in for a hug. “I was scared out of my mind.”
"So was I."

Summary: Colby has an important meeting to go to, but he gets a really bad stomach bug. He insists that he’s fine, but needs the reader to convince him he needs a much deserved break. Will he listen to her and take the break? What will happen if he doesn’t?
Tumblr media
PSA: This is mostly just fluff with a little 🤏🏻 bit of angst and by a little bit I really mean a good section of it, other then that it’s mostly just fluffy.

Y/n’s Pov:
I wake up to the sound of the toilet flushing and blink a few times to let my eyes adjust. I frown as I feel Colby’s side of the bed and it’s cold, meaning he’s been up for a bit. I wait for a few minutes for him to come back, but when he doesn’t I push the duvet back with furrowed brows and get up.
I shiver lightly when my feet hit the floor, even if it is carpet, but keep walking. I walk over to the mostly closed bathroom door and knock on it.
“Babe, you ok?” I ask as I slightly push the door open to peer in.
“Yeah. I’m fine. Go back to bed, I’ll be there in a few, nug,” Colby groans out from the floor next to the toilet.
“You don’t seem fine, Colby. Baby, are you sick?” I ask him as I fully walk in and over to him.
“No. Babe, I’m fine, really,” Colby tells me and I give him a hum of disbelief as I sit down on the tub right behind him.
“I don’t believe you. You’re sweating and by the looks of it, puking. Nobody pukes when they feel fine, babe,” I point out as I run my hand through his hair and he groans, laying his head against the porcelain of the toilet.
“Not to mention you feel a little hot too,” I tell him as I use the back of my hand to feel his forehead lightly before running my hand through his hair again.
“You think I’m hot, huh?” he asks with a tired smirk and I scoff playfully.
“I definitely think you are. If I didn’t I wouldn’t be wearing this ring, but that’s not what I meant and you know it,” I tell him with a roll of my eyes as I hold up my hand, letting the ring glitter in the light of the bathroom.
He smiles softly at me for a moment as he reaches his hand out to me and I grab onto his. He plays with my ring —that he'd given me a few weeks ago— for a moment before he lets out a groan as he leans over like he’s going to puke again, but he doesn’t. As he sits up a little more I rub his back.
“It’s ok if you aren’t feeling well, baby. You can just take a day or two from work,” I tell him as I move my hand to scratch and run my nails over his scalp, making him sigh as he closes his eyes for a moment.
“I can’t… I have that big meeting in the morning, remember? I have to get better,” he groans out before sitting up and puking again.
“Oh, baby…” I coo at him as I rub his back for a moment.
“Babe. I’m sure Sam will be fine taking the meeting,” I tell him as he sits back on the floor.
“I don’t wanna make Sammy do that. He took the meeting last week and the one the week before that,” he groans out, leaning his head against the toilet still, but now he looks up at me with sad eyes.
“Let’s just focus on getting you better right now. If you're better in the morning, you can go, ok?” I tell him just to try to appease him so he’ll listen, and to my surprise he nods tiredly.
“Here. I’ll be right back,” I inform him and he nods as he slumps against the side again.
I quickly rush down to the kitchen and pour him a glass of water. I look in the pantry to see if we have crackers or something, but see nothing so I close it and decide I’ll make a trip to the store when I get a chance. I grab the glass of water and walk back up the stairs to our room.
I walk back through our room and to the bathroom where I see him now half asleep by the toilet. I frown and set the water down before walking over to our linen closet. I grab a washcloth and get it wet with slightly cold water.
I then walk back over to him and put the washcloth to his head, making him jump awake. He looks up at me and I smile softly back at him as I now dab the cloth to his neck.
“Sorry, baby. I just thought the cold might help you a bit. There’s also water here for you. You think you’re ready to go back to bed?” I ask him and he slowly nods in his half sleepy haze.
“Ok. Come on then. Let’s get you up,” I tell him and he grabs my hand.
He flushes the toilet before slowly getting up with my help to steady him. Once he’s standing, I hand him the water and he shakes his head.
“I want to brush my teeth first. Get this nasty taste out of my mouth,” he tells me and I nod before setting the water back on the counter.
“Ok. You do that and I’m going to see if I can find some kind of bucket to keep by the bed, ok?” I ask him and he nods in agreement.
I walk back out into our room and see his trash bin. I quickly go over to it and take the bag out before tying it closed and leaving it by the door to take out later. Just as I stand up straight, he shuffles back out with a small groan.
He shuffles over to the bed and I follow behind him. He slowly gets back into the bed and when I’m sure he’s in, I pull the covers over him. He sighs when he finally feels comfortable and I smile softly at him.
“Go back to sleep, honey. I’m going to run down to the store and get a few things. I’ll be right back,” I tell him before leaning down to leave a kiss on his forehead.
I stand, ready to leave, but he pulls me back as he shakes his head. He holds me in place and I arch a brow at him.
“Don’t go. It’s not safe for you to go out alone. I’ll be fine. Really, nug, stay,” he practically begs me, playing with my ring again, and I sigh.
“Colbs, you need fluids, hon. You need to stay hydrated, not to mention foods that you can eat,” I try to make my point known and he shakes his head.
“Don’t go,” he reiterates himself, shaking his head and I sigh.
“Colbs. Baby. I have to,” I reiterate myself this time and he huffs, crossing his arms while pouting at me.
“Please don’t pout. You know I’ll agree if you pout,” I tell him and run my hand through his hair as he tiredly smirks at me.
“Kinda the point, nug,” he tells me with a playful eye roll and I sigh once again.
“Look. Will it make you feel better if I wake Sam and ask him to come with me?” I ask and he sits up a little more as if it intrigues him.
“It’d make me feel a whole lot better at this hour in Vegas, nug, but are you sure you wanna wake him?” he asks as he once again sinks back into the bed.
“I guess I’ll have to if it’ll make you feel better about it. Go to sleep, I’ll be back soon,” I promise him as I scratch at his head and he sighs, sinking even further into the bed.
“Ok. Go to sleep. Bucket’s right here if you need it. I’ll be as quick as I can,” I promise again only to smile when I get a soft hum back.
Once I’m sure he’s asleep, I walk to the closest and put on a pull-over. I grab my purse and put on some easy slip-on shoes. When I’m done grabbing my stuff, I quietly walk over to my side of the bed and grab my phone before heading to the door.
On the way out I grab the garbage bag to take out and when the door is shut quietly, I start walking towards Sam’s room. I knock on the door lightly and it takes a minute, but soon he’s opening the door.
“Oh, you're already up. So I didn’t wake you. Good,” I comment and he nods.
“Yeah, me and Kat decided to watch a movie tonight. What’s up?” he asks and I peek in to see Kat sitting on the bed, playing on her phone.
“Hi, Kat!” I shout to her and she smiles while looking up at me before giving a small wave.
“Hi, y/n,” she replies and I wave back at her.
“So what’s up?” Sam asks and I giggle.
“Oh, yeah. Colby’s pretty sick and we have nothing in this new house for sick people. I was going to run to the store to get stuff, but-” I start to explain and Sam shakes his head.
“Colby told you not to go alone, huh?” he asks and I nod.
“Yeah. So I promised him I’d ask you to tag along,” I agree with him and he chuckles.
“Babe," he says to Kat. "Do you care if I go to the store with y/n?”
“No. Go ahead. Can you get me a Hickory sticks please?” Kat asks him and he nods as he picks up his keys.
“Alright. Let’s go then,” he tells me before stepping out of the room and closing the door behind him.
“How sick exactly is he?” Sam asks as we walk out of the house and to his car.
“I think it’s a stomach bug. He went to bed not feeling too well, but was convinced it’d go away. I just woke up like maybe fifteen to twenty minutes ago to him puking,” I explain as he unlocks the car and I open my door to slide into the passenger side seat.
“I’m going to need to get us a new thermometer too. I have no idea where ours went after the move,” I comment as he starts the car up and pulls out onto the road.
“Let me guess, he’s insisting on going to the meeting tomorrow?” Sam asks quickly, looking at me for a moment before looking back to the road and I sigh.
“Yeah. He won’t listen to reason. I told him I was sure you’d be ok with taking it if he’s sick, but you know Colbs,” I tell him and he hums in agreement while turning his blinker on.
“I told him that we’d see in the morning, but I’m definitely not letting him go,” I finished and he nods in agreement.
“I wouldn’t be letting him go either. It’s ok, I’ll take it,” he promises me and I sigh in relief that he’s on my side.
“Thank you, Sam,” I tell him and he nods, reaching down for my hand to give it a soft squeeze.
“You’re welcome. I know Colby can be a little difficult when he’s sick. He just sometimes doesn’t get when he needs breaks. I’m glad he has you to make him take them,” he tells me as he parks the car and turns it off.
“Well, I did agree to in sickness and in health, or at least I will be in a few months,” I tell him with a shrug and Sam grins, nodding before unbuckling himself.
“And I’m excited for you guys. I bet you’ll look super beautiful in your dress. So beautiful, Colby may cry,” he jokes and I giggle.
“Colby, cry? Whatever are you talking about?” I joke back and he rolls his eyes as he lets out a groan.
“Oh, he’ll cry alright…” he adds on and I giggle smiling.
“Thank you, Sam. I’m sure he will,” I tell him and he nods as he pushes his door open.
We both get out and walk over to the store.
“Wanna split up then meet back at the till’s?” I ask him and he purses his lips as I grab a basket.
“It’ll get us done quicker and home sooner, Sammy,” I tell him with a giggle as I walk a little further into the store and he shakes his head.
“Deal, but meet back in exactly ten minutes,” he tells me, pointing a finger at me and I giggle.
“Fifteen minutes tops,” I playfully tell him and he rolls his eyes.
“Fine, fifteen minutes, but right back here,” Sam says and I nod in agreement, smiling at him.
I then quickly turn and start to walk to the aisle I know the thermometer will be in. I walk down to the whole wall of medicines, quickly looking over them just to see if there’s one that could help Colby, but unfortunately find none.
“He’s just going to have to ride this one out,” I think to myself as I move a little further down the aisle to look for the thermometer. I look over the many different options and read through the information on the back of some of them before deciding which I want.
I grab one and quickly set it in the basket before fully standing up from where I had crouched down. I quickly look at my watch and see I have about ten more minutes till I have to meet up with Sam. I decide to go over to get him crackers and some soup.
I also get him some cold and hot therapeutic ice packs, some 7up and Gatorade, as well as some jello and pudding. Last I grab a multi pack of toothbrushes, knowing he’ll probably want a new one after it’s last use.
Once I’m sure I have everything, I head back towards the tills only to find Sam already paying. He looks up just as I walk up to the self checkout and smiles, making me giggle. I quickly scan the items and pay, then put it all in the bag I keep in my purse.
Sam finishes before me and waits at the end of the self checkout. I quickly grab the receipt and my bag of stuff before walking over to meet him.
“Ready to go?” he asks and I nod.
“Yeah. Let’s go,” I tell him as we start to walk.
We walk out of the store and start down the aisle he parked on as my phone starts to ring. I look at Sam in confusion and he shrugs as I move the bag from my right hand to my left. I pull my phone out to see it’s Kat calling and answer as we continue walking.
“Hey. What’s up?” I ask her and I hear her huff.
“So, I went in to check on Colby just because I thought I should, and he’s like really burning up,” she explains in a rushed tone and Sam takes the bags from my hands.
He opens his trunk and puts the bags in before turning to look at me as I talk to his girlfriend. Sam arches an eyebrow at me for a moment as he waits to know what’s going on.
“How hot is his forehead?” I ask and she clicks her tongue as Sam stands up a little straighter at the sound of her panic.
“Too hot. I couldn’t even really touch his forehead. I don’t know what to do. He’s really out of it too. Thought I was you,” she explains in a panicked, rushed tone.
“Colby, no! Put it back on your head!” Kat shouts and I look up at Sam in a panic.
He nods at me before rushing around his side and I rush to mine. Sam quickly gets in and lets me in. I buckle in while Sam starts the car up and quickly starts to pull out of the parking space.
“Kat. Do you think you can get him in a cold bath?” I ask her in my calmest voice.
“I have him keeping a cold cloth on his head, but I may need Sam’s help to get him in the tub,” she tells me and I nod, biting my lip.
“Ok. Well keep him drinking water and keep the wash cloth as cold as you can. We’re just down the street. Should be home here in a bit,” I calmly explain what she needs to do.
“Ok. See you in a bit,” she replies and I let out a sigh.
“See you in a minute,” I agree before hanging my phone back up.
“How’d you know to do that?” Sam asks as he continues to drive and I start to fidget in my seat.
“How’d I know to do what?” I ask him as I fidget with my ring while sitting up as straight as I can.
“To put him in a cold bath?” Sam clarifies and I bite at my lip.
“Ahh… when I was little, I’d get really bad fevers and it’d get to the point where I’d almost start seizing. So when I got super close the first time, my dad rushed me to the bathroom and held me in an ice cold bath,” I explain and Sam’s eyes widen a little.
“Oh. Shit. Y/n, that’s crazy. Did they ever stop?” he gasps in shock before moving onto his question and I sigh.
“The cold baths help get the fever down most of the time. They usually happen in kids, but the occasional adult can seize with no signs of problems. I haven’t had one since before meeting Colby,” I continue to explain and Sam shakes his head.
“Does he know about this?” Sam asks and I puff out a breath.
“Yes, Sam, he knows. I told him in case I do indeed have one when he’s around so he’ll know what to do,” I tell him in an anxious tone.
“Ok. He’ll be ok, ya know,” Sam says and I jump.
“If he starts to seize while we’re away, he’ll need a hospital, Sam,” I tell him and he shakes his head.
“And he won’t. Kat's got him, she'll keep him good till we get there. Plus, we’re almost there,” he tells me in a reassuring tone and I shake my head.
“You can’t know that…” I tell him and he sighs.
“Y/n. I do know that. It’s Colby,” Sam replies and I sigh, nodding.
“Let’s just get home, please,” I practically beg and he nods back.
Soon before I know it, Sam is pulling up to the house and he doesn’t even get a chance to park as I throw my door open. I quickly get out and head inside, rushing to our room.
“Oh, y/n! You're here, good. He’s a little out of it,” Kat tells me as I walk in.
“Nugget! Where you been, huh? Come cuddle?” Colby shouts excitedly, holding his arms out for me.
“Not right now, hon. First we gotta take your temperature, ok?” I ask him as Sam walks in with all the bags.
“Oh my gosh. I’m sorry, Sam. I completely forgot,” I tell him as he sets the bags down.
“It’s no problem, y/n. You're good,” he tells me as he walks over to me.
“Go run him that cold bath. I’ll help Kat carry him into the bathroom. Do you think you’ll need my help actually getting him into the tub?” Sam asks and I shake my head.
“I think I can possibly coerce him in. If not, I’ll let you know,” I answer and he nods before I walk off into the bathroom.
I quickly turn the water on and turn it to the coldest it’ll go. I test it for a second, nodding to myself when it feels nice and cold. The door opens as Sam and Kat walk in, each with one of Colby’s arms wrapped around their shoulder.
“You got him from here?” Sam asks as I take the arm he’s holding.
“I should. I’ll shout if I need you,” I tell him and he nods.
“Ok. We’ll go put your cold stuff away for you,” Sam informs me as he picks up the bag of drinks.
“Ok. Thank you,” I agree with him, nodding and he smiles softly at me.
“It’s no problem at all, y/n. Call me if you need anything,” he says one last time and I nod before he and Kat walk out.
“Colbs. Baby. I need you to start undressing please,” I tell him, and he smiles, confusing me.
“Baby! You're home,” he says and I sigh.
“Yes, hon. I’m home. Now, help me undress you, please?” I ask him and he smirks lazily.
“You wanna get me naked…” he says as he slowly bounces his eyebrows at me and I groan.
“No, baby. Not right now. We need to get your temperature down, so you need to get into the bath,” I try explaining to him, but he seems to zone out.
“Colby?” I ask with a frown and he starts to sway a bit.
“Ok… woah. Woah. Woah. Let’s just sit you down, baby,” I tell him as I softly guide him back to the closed toilet.
I set him down on it and look down at him for a moment before playing with his hair. He still looks distant for a second before his eyes close and I sigh softly before reaching down to the bottom of his shirt.
“Arms up, babe,” I command gently as I tap his side. I smile softly as he does as I ask before I slowly and carefully pull his tank off.
“Ok. Now your pants, baby,” I again command as I tap his leg before reaching for his waist.
He continues to space out as I pull his sweats off his legs. I look up at him and it seems he starts to sway.
“Ok, baby. We need to get you in. I’m leaving your boxers on. I promise I’ll get you a new pair after,” I tell him and I expect him to make another joke about me getting him naked, but he doesn’t, making me frown.
“Ok. Come on,” I lightly command as I pull him up off the seat.
We walk over to the tub and I quickly make sure it’s still cold. I then pull him a little closer in hopes he’ll step into it.
“Colbs, honey. You need to get in,” I tell him and he finally lifts his left leg.
“Damn, that’s cold,” he points out and I let a small smile fall on my face.
“I know, my love, but you have to get in farther,” I tell him, but he doesn’t reply as he slowly starts to sway.
“Colby, please get into the tub. You have one foot in, now the other one,” I coach him softly and he listens, putting his other foot in.
“Ok. Now sink down, baby. The water should bring your temp down significantly,” I command him and he slowly does with my help.
Once in, he sits back for a moment before he shivers lightly. He finally seems to clear up as he looks over at me.
“Oh hi, baby,” he comments and I giggle, lightly shaking my head.
“Hi, hun. How you feeling?” I ask him as I now smooth back his hair.
“Cold and like I’m sick,” he groans out and I giggle lightly.
“Well. I think your temperature has gone down. I’m going to check just in case though,” I tell him and he nods as he starts to shiver a little more.
I walk out of the bathroom and over to the bags Sam had left before rooting through them. It takes me a moment, but I soon find the thermometer I’d bought and take it out of the bag. Once I have the box, I start back to the bathroom while trying to open it.
“Uggh. Dumb box,” I mutter as I walk back in and Colby smiles softly at me before lifting his hand out of the water.
“Give it here, baby,” he opens and closes his shaking hand as a way of telling me to give it to him.
“Are you sure?” I ask him and he chuckles again.
“I may be cold and sick, nug, but I can still help you even then,” he jokes, rolling his eyes playfully and I smile, glad he’s back to somewhat normal.
“Okay. Here you go then,” I tell him as I set the box in his hand.
His hand closes around it before he’s pulling it back towards himself. His other hand comes out of the water and he effortlessly pulls the tab of the box open. With a smirk, he hands it back to me and I giggle as I take it from him.
“Thank you, my love,” I tell him as I stand and leave a kiss on his head, making him cringe.
“Baaaaabe!” he dramatically groans and I giggle as I quickly start to pull the thermometer out of the box.
“What?” I ask, pretending I didn’t do anything and he rolls his eyes as I walk up to him.
“You’re lucky I want to spend forever with you or I’d be gone after that,” he tells me and I playfully gasp.
“Over a forehead kiss?” I dramatically ask as I put a hand to my heart.
“Yes. Over a forehead kiss. Nug, you know what I always say…” he trails off and I hum in fake agreement.
“Open your mouth, Colbs,” I tell him as I flick the thermometer lightly like the instructions tell me to and he does.
“Ok. Under the tongue, babe,” I tell him and he rolls his eyes.
“Those are the worst thermometers…” he comments and I giggle.
“But it was the best one there,” I explain and he rolls his eyes again in exaggeration.
I put it in his mouth and leave it in for a moment. After the moment is up, I lean back over to take it out of his mouth and look over it.
“Says you're down to at least 102 now, so you should be good to get out,” I tell him and he sighs, throwing his head back.
“Thank God. That shit was cold,” he exclaims as he stands up and I pass him his towel.
“I know. I’m sorry. We can go cuddle in bed and warm you up now, though,” I tell him and he smiles tiredly at me.
“That sounds wonderful, nug,” he tells me and I nod.
“Ok. Then get out of your wet boxers and get changed into some other clothes, then we can,” I tell him and he nods.
I go to walk out of the bathroom, but he pulls me back and I giggle when I see confusion on his face. He gives me a light pout and I poke his stomach.
“What?” I ask him and he flicks my hand playfully but tiredly.
“Where are you going?” he asks as he frowns again and I giggle.
“I am going to get you some crackers and 7up. I promise I’ll be right back for those cuddles, but you need food in your system,” I explain to him as I poke at his stomach again and he shakes his head.
“Ok, but hurry back… I want cuddles…” he agrees with a puppy dog look and I giggle.
“There’s my sick cuddle bear. I was worried about him there for a moment. You were pretty out of it,” I admit as I put a hand on my hip.
“Honestly I don’t really remember getting in,” he admits back and I sigh.
“Symptoms of a very high fever, babe. I’m just happy you didn’t start having a seizure,” I tell him and he sighs.
“I’m sorry you even know that, baby girl,” he apologizes and I shrug.
“Don’t be sorry. Not like you ever made me get high fevers,” I tell him with a soft smile.
“Ok. I’m going to get the crackers and 7up. I’ll be right back,” I promise him and he smiles at me.
“You better be!” he jokes as I walk out, shaking my head.
I walk down to the kitchen and grab a 7up along with a pack of the crackers. Once I have the stuff, I walk back up to our room and set it all down on Colby’s side table. I frown when I hear the toilet flush and Colby groan again.
I quickly walk back to the bathroom only to find him where I’d found him earlier on. He once again sits with his head leaning against the toilet.
“Oh, baby,” I coo as I go over to him, making him look up at me.
“You feel like you're done?” I ask as I crouch down and rub his back soothingly.
“Yeah, I might be,” he groans out before he sighs, leaning his head against the side of the toilet.
“Ok. Let’s get you up and back to bed then,” I tell him as I rub the top of his back.
“Come on, baby. Let’s go cuddle,” I comment as I help him stand up.
“Do you wanna brush your teeth again?” I ask him and he shakes his head.
“Just water, I don’t have the energy to brush right now,” he sluggishly tells me and I shrug, nodding.
“That’s perfectly fine, my love,” I reassure him as best as I can before starting the walk to our bed.
I guide him slowly over and help him sit down before he moves to lay down. He cuddles into his pillow and sighs. I smile softly before standing straight and taking a step over to the door, but Colby grabs onto my hand.
“Nug, where ya going? I thought we were gonna cuddle?” he asks as he holds my hand so I won’t leave.
“We are, honey, I promise. I was just going to get the 7up and crackers. I’ll be right back. They’re just on the table by the door,” I tell him and he nods, letting me go.
I give him a soft smile before continuing over to our bedroom door. I quickly grab the two items and walk back over to place them on his bedside table. I then walk around the bed and pull the covers back before getting in.
Colby smiles sheepishly at me as he holds his arms open and I giggle, laying down as he wraps them around me. I reach up and start scratching at his scalp and he lets out a sigh with his eyes closing.
“I’m going to watch some tv. You ok with that, babe?” I ask him and he just tiredly hums.
I grab the remote and turn the tv on and just watch mindless tv for a bit. Before I know it, my eyes start to slowly close and I’m lolled into a deep sleep.
~Time Skip~
I scrunch up my face as I wake up to a light turning on in our dark room. I sit up and sigh when I don’t find Colby in bed again. I look over at the clock to see it says eight o’clock.
With a sigh, I look over at where the light is coming from and see that it’s the closet light. I shake my head before getting up and walking over to the closet. I lean against the door frame with my arms crossed, watching as Colby gets dressed, but he doesn’t notice me and continues on.
“What do you think you are doing?” I ask out loud and he startles, jumping ever so slightly.
“Babe! You scared me,” he comments before going back to what he was doing.
“I’m sorry, that wasn’t my intention. But what are you getting dressed for?” I ask him with a raised eyebrow and he gives me a sheepish look as he rubs at his neck.
“Nothing…” he tries and I shake my head, making him sigh.
“Fine… I was getting ready for the meeting…” he admits to me like a scared child would.
“Oh no, you are not. You are not going anywhere. Change back into your sweats because you're not going anywhere,” I sternly tell him and he sighs.
“Nug. I have to go. I can’t let Sammy take it again,” he practically pleads with me and I shake my head.
“Colby. Sam already told me he’d take it. Now I’m not asking, I'm putting my foot down, babe. You almost had a seizure. I am not letting you out of the house until this bug passes,” I inform him in as stern of a tone I can.
“Ok. Ok. Nug, I’ll change…” he agrees before coming over to me and wiping a tear I didn’t even realize fell.
“I won’t leave. Sam can take it. I’m sorry,” he apologizes as he pulls me into a loose hug and I nod.
“Thank you. I’m sorry, too. Just seeing it rather than being the one going through it…” I try to explain and he nods.
“And it was you going through it… it just… it scared me, I guess,” I finish and he nods softly in understanding.
“I’m so sorry I scared you, nug. I promise, I’ll stay right here with you until this bug is gone,” he tells me and I tighten my arms around him in thanks.
“Ok. Go lay down, I'll be right there. Let me just change outta these jeans,” he says as he pulls back from our hug to look at me and I nod softly.
He lets go of me and I sniffle lightly as I walk back to our bed. I get in and lay there for a few minutes, waiting for him to join me. Soon he comes back into our room, turning off the light of the closet before coming over and getting into the bed with me.
He pauses as he sits before bending over and grabbing his trash bin. He pukes into it and I quickly jump to a sitting upright position to rub his back.
“It’s ok, baby. Let it out,” I tell him and soon he finishes, picking his head up to look at me.
“Give me the bin, babe,” I say, holding my hands out.
“No. I can take care of it, nug,” he groans out and I sigh.
“Colby, just give me the can. You don’t have the energy to take care of it. I’ll just go dump it and rinse it. I can handle it,” I tell him and he sighs, nodding tiredly before putting it into my hands.
“Eat some of those crackers while I’m gone. I’ll be right back,” I promise him as I stand and head to the bathroom.
As I walk over, I smile softly when I hear the packaging rustle, meaning he’s opening them before fully walking into the bathroom. I quickly dump the contents into the toilet before rinsing it in the bathtub. Once that’s done, I walk over and wash my hands of the germs before grabbing the bin and walking back out.
“Ok. Here’s the bin, babe,” I tell him as I pass it back and he sets it back on the floor.
“Thank you for taking such good care of me, nug,” he says as we both lay back down.
“Always, Colby. In sickness and health in a few months, right? Why not start a little earlier,” I say with a playful shrug and he chuckles.
“Are you done eating your crackers? Think you wanna get some more sleep now?” I ask him and he nods, cuddling me a little closer.
“Sleep sounds wonderful, nug,” he mutters before sighing tiredly.
“Then sleep, my love. Sleep,” I tell him as I rub at his belly.
“Alright. Good night, nug. I love you,” he tells me and I smile softly as I continue to rub his stomach.
“I love you too, Colby. Sleep,” I whisper as I cuddle ever so slightly closer.
I wait till his breath evens out and pull the blankets up a little higher. Soon my eyes slowly start to close as I listen to his heartbeat and I fall into a peaceful sleep.
The End.

Summary: anon request - "I was actually wondering if you could write an imagine with Colby and his s/o is 6-7 months pregnant. And just like what he would do with the baby bump,  how he would take care of her and just a day in their life with her pregnant... I hope that makes sense. Thank you!"

You smiled down at the tiny onesie in your lap, mind racing about how fast these last few months are really going to go.
You place the onesie in the drawer with the rest of the tiny clothing. You sigh as you look around the neatly decorated nursery, thinking about everything you have and everything you still have to get.
"Hey." Colby's voice is quiet and raspy, "Whatcha doin' up so early?" He walk over to you, bending down to kiss your head.
You smile and close your eyes as you feel his lips press to your forehead, "I had to pee, again." You laugh and look over at him as he sits down next to you, "then I just couldn't get comfortable and I didn't want to wake you with my constant tossing and turning."
He shakes his head, "Would have been fine, babe." He smiles and reaches over to grab a onesie from the laundry basket, "I can't believe she'll be here soon."
You lay your hands on your belly, feeling your baby girl swim around, "She loves the sound of your voice."
He smiles and glances down at your belly, "Yeah?"
You nod, "Yeah. She moves every time you talk." You reach your hand out, "Feel." He gives you his hand, letting you guide it to your belly.
His eyes go wide, "Whoa. She's really awake this morning."
You laugh slightly, "also why I couldn't get comfy." He gives you a small smile, "I'm sorry, y/n." You shake your head, "No, baby. Don't be sorry."
You run your nails gently over his hand, "I'm so excited to see you hold her." A big smile appears on his face and he sighs, "I'm actually so scared. Shes going to be so fragile and I-"
"Colby. Honey. You are going to be the absolute best daddy to her. You already love her so, so much and I know you won't let anything happen to her." You reach up, laying a hand on his cheek and he nods, "You're right."
"Of course I am." You laugh slightly and he rolls his eyes, "Yeah, yeah. Did you eat yet?"
You shake your head, "Alright." He stands up, "I'll call you when it's ready. Any specific cravings this morning?"
You purse your lips, thinking for a second before you smirk, "Chocolate."
He chuckles and gives you a thumbs up, "Got it."
You watch him walk out of the room before you look back, taking in everything as you gently rub your growing bump.

After breakfast and having a deep conversation about what's to come, you make your way to the couch and switch on the tv.
"So I was thinking.." Colby walks over and sits behind you. You lean back against his chest and lay your head back, "Thinking about what?"
"I was thinking about staying home today, hanging out with you and bean." He pokes your belly gently and you laugh slightly, "Don't you and Sam have that meeting today?"
He shrugs, "Yeah, but it can be moved to tomorrow or something." He kisses your head, "I just want to see you." His hands slide onto your belly as he rests his chin on your shoulder.
"Whatever you want to do, babe." You reach up, gently scratching his neck as you close your eyes.
"Why don't you take a nap. You were up early and I know just how tired you get." His fingers gently scratch over your bump, "I'll call Sam when you get up or something." You nod, already feeling like you could fall asleep.
Ah hour and a half later, you wake up, Colby still sitting behind you, "Get a good nap in?"
"You could have moved if you wanted to." You mumble, rubbing your eyes as you sit up. Colby placing his hands on your shoulders, leaning up, "I didn't want to."
You laugh slightly, turning so you can get up, "This baby is pushing on my bladder."
"I'm sure that's uncomfortable." He looks up at you and you nod, "Very much so." You waddle to the bathroom, sitting there for a few minutes as you fully wake up.
You stand in front of the mirror, eyes glued to your bump as if you're waiting to be woken from some sort of dream.
"Everything okay in there?" Colby gently knocks on the door and you smile, turning to open it.
Ever since you found out you were pregnant, Colby has been glued to your side. Always making sure you were okay, comfortable, cravings filled.
You really feel like you and Colby grew closer, all thanks to, as Colby calls her because you have no name yet, Bean.
"Yes. Everything came out okay." You joke as you walk into him, laying your head on his chest.
"Were you admiring the bump?" He chuckles and looks down at you as you nod, "Yeah, sometimes it just doesn't feel real."
He nods, "I know what you mean. I'm always staring at you, I just absolutely love you with this baby bump."
You look up at him, "Really?"
With all the good things that come with pregnancy, there's also bad things, such as insecurity, weight gain, swelling and mood swings, but Colby doesn't mind one bit.
"Really. You've opened up a whole other side to being beautiful and I can't get enough of it." He kisses your cheek and moves down, caressing your belly with his hands, "You're the best mama to bean, I know it."
He gently presses his lips to your shirt covered bump and the baby starts kicking and twirling like crazy.
"Whoa." He laughs, "She must really like me."
"I told you." You laugh as you run your hand through his hair, "It's every time you talk."
He stands back up, "l love you both." You smile as he leans in to kiss you.
"We love you." You wrap your arm around his back as he walks you back out to the couch, "I'm going to call Sam quick, see if we can change that meeting."
You nod, sitting down, "Why don't you see if you can do a phone meeting or something." He looks at you and you shrug, "I just know this is an important meeting and I just don't want to cause an inconvenience to anyone."
He sits down next to you, "You aren't and never will be an inconvenience. I can promise you that."
You sigh, trying to fight back the tears and Colby shakes his head, "Hey, hey. What's wrong?"
You sniffle, "I don't know.. I just.. I'm just so happy." You laugh as a tear rolls down your cheek, "And now I want a cheeseburger."
Colby pulls you to him, laughing slightly, "What an emotional rollercoaster." He pulls his phone out, bringing it up to his ear.
You look up at him, "What's are you doing?"
"Calling Sam. He'll bring you a cheeseburger." He laughs and you pout, "Colby."
"Hey, brother. I have a favor to ask." Colby laughs and looks down at you, "She's good, yeah. I was just going to see if you could come over, and bring cheeseburgers with you." He nods, "Yeah, she wants a cheeseburger."
You laugh and sniffle, "tell him bean and I love him."
"He said he loves you girls too and he'll be here in fifteen." Colby glances down at you and you nod, "Okay."
"Yeah, thank you. Uh huh. See ya." Colby hangs up and kisses your head, "Uncle Sam's on his way to save the day."
Colby sets his phone down and wraps his arm around you, "Sam is going to be beans favorite uncle."
"I agree with you. He'll do anything for her." You rub your belly and take a deep breath, "Have you thought of a name yet?"
He sighs, "I've been thinking, but nothing really sticks." He lays a hand on yours, "maybe once we see her we'll know."
You shrug, "Maybe. I just feel like she needs a name." You close your eyes, emotions taking over and Colby kisses your head, holding you a little bit tighter, "Hey. She'll get one. Okay? She won't be bean no name her whole life."
You laugh and shake your head, "You're right." You sit up, looking at him, "Thank you for always being here." He leans in, kissing your lips, "You'd have to bury me to get me away."
You laugh and lay a hand on his cheek, "That's not happening."
"Good. I was kinda scared you'd consider it." He jokes and you roll your eyes, "Oh yeah, all the time." You smirk and stand up, "I'm going to go change."
.·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
"Hey, hey, hey." Sam says as he walks through the door, "Someone order a few cheeseburgers?"
You walk over to him, taking the bag from his hands, "You're a life saver." He smiles and lays an arm over your shoulder, "anything for my niece."
You laugh, shaking your head as you focus on finally getting to eat the burger you've been non stop thinking about, "Where's Colby?"
"Baby's room." You say before you take a bite, "He's putting together her bassinet." You cover your mouth with your hand as you chew.
Sam nods, walking back the small hallway, "Daddy, where are you?"
You roll your eyes, laughing as you hear Colby say in a girly tone, "In here, sweetie."
You sit down on the chair, continuing to eat as you wait for them to come out, "That was the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life." Colby walks over to you, "I pinched my finger three times, but it's finally together and looking cute in the corner."
You smile slightly, reaching out to take his hand to look, "Are you okay?"
He nods, "Oh yeah, I'm good, also. We're going to just do that meeting via zoom today here if that's alright."
You nod, "That's fine, whatever you need to do."
"How was the burger? Satisfy your cravings?" Sam asks with a laugh and you nod, "you have no idea."
Sam stares at you for a few seconds, looking up at Colby and shaking his head, “I can’t believe that Colby is going to be a dad.”
“I can’t believe it either, Sam.” Colby rubs his hand up and down your back, “I think I’m more scared of this than I am when we were staying a week at the conjuring house.”
“That was terrifying.” Sam sits down, “Got a name yet?”
You shake your head, “Not yet. We’re hoping to come up with one soon. That the only stresser right now.”
Sam nods, “Samantha is a really good name.” He smirks, “Oh, or Sammie.. that’s adorable.”
“I think we should tell him.” Colby looks at you and you nod, “Yeah, he kinda just opened the bag and let the cat out.”
“I did what?” Sam tilts his head and laughs and you look over at him, “Her middle name will be Samantha after the best uncle she could ask for.”
“Excuse me.” Sam gets up, walking back the hall and you hear a loud, sarcastically dramatic sob. He walks back out, calm and cool, “That’s amazing.”
Colby laughs and walks over to hug him, they do their little spiel about being brothers, blah blah, and you have to pee again.
You make your way to the bathroom then coming out to finish your food. As you’re eating, your phone dings with an email, “Hey Colby.”
“What’s up, babe?” He walks over to you and lays a hand on your hip, “You good?”
You nod, holding up your phone, “Our shower invites are in.” He takes your phone, eyes scanning over the screen, “These are amazing.”
He walks over, “Sam, look at these.”
You never thought that you’d see two ghost hunters freak out over baby shower invitations.
“Those are adorable!” Sam shakes his head, “I’m going to keep mine forever.”
You laugh, “Uh huh.”

Later on, after their meeting, you’re scrolling down through the registry, looking at what everyone has gotten you guys so far.
“What else do we need for bean?” You look up, lifting a finger from your fist with each thing you say, “I know we have swaddles, blankets, crib sheets, and everything else I think.”
Colby brushes hair from your face, “Um..” he looks at your phone, watching as your scroll, “I think we have everything that we need for her, and if it’s not here we’ll get it at the shower next month.”
You sigh, “I feel like we’re missing something.”
“Diapers? Can’t have too many of them.” Colby chuckles and you snap your fingers, “I think that’s it!”
He shakes his head, kissing your head, “You need to relax, babe. Just take a minute away from all of that.” You sigh, handing him your phone to take it away from you, “You’re right. Sorry, I just-“
“Don’t apologize to me. Everything will be absolutely perfect and we’ll get through it if not. She’s already so spoiled, did you see all the stuff Sam bought?”
You laugh and nod, “She won’t be without anything for a while.”
“Exactly. Now just come here.” He pulls you back into him and you let out a sigh, “I think I’m just trying to keep myself busy so I don’t keep worrying about it all.”
“You’re her mama. It bound to happen, but you can just try and take a breather for one night. Stressing isn’t good for you or her.” He runs his hand up and down your arm, “You’re going to be such a good mama. I promise you.”
You smile, nodding against his chest, “And you’re going to be such a good daddy to her.”
The rest of the night, Colby tries to keep your mind occupied by putting on your favorite show and pampering you in anyway he can.
Lotion on your belly, talking to the baby in gentle tone, and getting you any of your craving that make their way to the surface.
You never thought you’d be here, but you couldn’t be more thankful for Colby and all he does for you.

I hope you enjoyed reading this cute little piece, I thought it was adorable!

Is this what you wanted to see? || Colby Brock x Reader
Tumblr media
You thought it was just going to be another funny, intriguing investigation with the guys, but things went south real quick. Whatever was in this hotel, didn't like you.
warnings: gore/blood, cursing, violent paranormal activity, reader getting attacked by ghosts, seeing shit that's not there (aka, being a bit of a medium), angst?
a/n: the story is fictional, therefore, the place/video that I based the story from, is not real.

"What's up guys! It's Sam and Colby. Today, we're standing right infront of one of the most haunted hotels in America..." Colby began.
The frame of my body visible to the camera as they continued their intro. I threw a tiny wave when they called out my name to the camera.
At this point I'm so used to all of this that Colby doesn't even need to ask if I'm okay with it anymore, although he still does, which I love about him.
We've been dating for months now and I swear that I'm just falling deeper in love every day. I didn't even notice myself staring lovingly at him throughout their intro to the point they had to shake me out of it.
"You good?" Nate asked, I looked up at him and nodded.
"Yeah, yeah, just zoned out for a little bit, my bad." I smiled at him and he nodded.
"Just making sure."
"You guys ready?" Sam asked, looking at us.
"Yessir!" Nate responded.
"As I'll ever be." I added.
"We'll see you guys inside." Colby said back to the camera and turned it off. He looked back at us and smiled. "So, shall we?"
"We shall." I responded, laughing slightly as I got closer to him and walked inside with them. While they weren't looking, I felt a short kiss on my cheek coming from him, which just made me smile wider.
God, I love him.

While we were all walking through a corridor, I looked back and saw an employee with a tray of food. He saw me and I nodded with a smile at him as a kind gesture. He smiled and nodded back. I looked back at the boys, only to slightly look back for a second and then completely looking back in shock.
There was no one there. It would've been impossible for someone to run and hide in that short amount of time.
Was it my imagination or did that really just happen? It seemed too real to be true.
"Co..Colby." I softly said, as my feet were unable to move after the thought of having seen something so real, yet not being there.
"Yeah?" He looked back, so did the other two. "You okay? What happened?" He got closer and looked at my face then back to the corridor, trying to see what I was looking at.
"I... there was someone here. An employee... with... a tray. I looked at him, even greeted him for a second and when I looked back he was... gone."
"No fucking way." Sam said.
"Are you serious?? You're telling me you just saw a full-on person then it disappeared?" Nate asked, shocked.
"I guess, yeah?"
"Oh, this is gonna be a good night." Sam put the camera on my face. "One of us already saw something unexplainable, wish that would've been me." He laughed.
"Next thing we know you begin to levitate brother." Colby laughed back.
I laughed as well, trying to brush away the thought of genuinely seeing a ghost.
All night, I've ended up having this eerie feeling of someone just watching us, but there was no one around. I tried to hide my uneasiness but Colby saw through me right away.
Every time he noticed, he began to flirt with me, making me feel good the best way he knows how. "You know we can just leave if you're too uncomfortable, baby." He kissed my forehead, putting his arms on my shoulders.
"Don't worry about it, I'm good. If I couldn't handle it, I would tell you right away."
"You better." He chuckled and kissed me, making all of my stress go away for a moment.
I can't lie, it did make me feel better, but somehow it just made things worse. I started seeing figures at the corners of my eyes, movements around me where nobody was walking around, even feeling touched a few times around my shoulders, hands and even ass. It felt weird, it made my anxiety grow by the minute, but somehow, it felt safe because of Colby.
And so, we ended the tour of the place and thought about trying to get some activity at around 3 in the morning. Meaning, we had nothing else to do. I was already tired enough, feeling as if the energy in my body has been drained to its core. I believed that it was solely because of the much walking and anxiety that was rising constantly.
Although the others planned on staying awake until the hour came, I told them I will try and get some sleep. And so, they would wake me up when the time comes.
Lying in the bed, I didn't stay up for long until my eyelids were closed and my brain just shut down. Usually, I'm quite the light sleeper, but this time I was knocked out.
Until I felt it.
I felt some hands on my legs. Honestly, I wasn't conscious enough to know if it was in my dreams or in real life. It turns out, it was real. And it wasn't Colby, or anyone else. But I felt it, tight on my leg. I couldn't even think right before I felt a pull and suddenly I was on the floor.
I could feel a sharp pain on my head as it was the first thing that touched the floor. I quickly woke up, shaken up by the sudden act. I whined in pain as the other seemingly stood up from their places and looked at me, possibly concerned, believing I might've just moved and fallen off the bed.
Before they even got closer, I got pulled back. This time, being completely awake, I yelled out, looking back at whatever force was holding my legs, one to see nothing at all.
And it was at that point when I felt genuine fear. I tried my hardest to hold onto the floor or anything really, but to no avail. Tears filling my tired eyes as I tried to focus my vision to the things around me. Next thing I knew I was thrown onto the wall, my back throbbing with pain as I felt a huge headache from the mild concussion I probably had after all of this.
To this point, everyone was frightened. Fear made them almost unable to walk, talk even. I could see them, their scared faces, trying to do something but there was this tension that made them... stop in place. Like this pressure, this force that was throwing me around like a ragdoll. They couldn't help me, it seemed.
At least in my point of view.
Unbeknownst to me, they were actually trying to set themselves free from this invisible pressure. Trying to move, but feeling like they've had a ton of weight on top of them that they couldn't escape from.
As I fell to the floor, I tried to gain back my breathing. Shaking on the floor, I looked up and saw Colby screaming my name while being set free from the pressure, running towards me. I looked at him with hope in my eyes, trying to pull my arm up to hold him, only to feel myself getting pulled again. This time, thrown towards the couch.
Although the direct hit to the couch didn't feel as bad, I had enough force to fall back behind the couch and to the floor. Since I tried to hold myself with the couch, unfortunately, it leaned back on itself and fell on top of me. Just the cherry on top.
I whined in pain, unable to move, stuck underneath the couch with bruises all over my body and the wet feeling of warm liquid on my back and the top of my head, wishing it would've only been sweat.
My vision was blurry.
My senses were all fucked up.
It all happened so quick that I don't think even they would've reacted in time even if they were able to move freely.
With my eyes closed, I could feel the pressure from the couch lift from my chest and a pair of arms holding me tightly.
"Oh my fucking god. Oh shit. Fuck. We need to get the fuck out of here." I heard Colby desperately scream. As I opened my eyes, I could see his teary ones. Holding me onto his arms, his eyes filled with guilt and fear. "Are you okay? Fuck..."
"Hurts..." I was able to whisper out those words, shaking and I feel myself coughing onto my hand. Looking back at the now blood-drenched hand, the pain began to intensify. My vision kept on failing, only able to see blobs of colors here and there.
Colby held me on his arms and pulled me up from the floor, which made me whimper in pain, feeling my back getting even more wet by the moment.
"Shit. Her back is bleeding... Fuck." I could hear Sam's shaky voice as I tried to gain back my breath, trying to calm myself down as I heard the rapidly increasing heartbeat of Colby.
Somehow, it made me feel okay. Being by his side, the rush of everything around almost seemed softer, calmer. I could no longer listen to everything that was going on.
Muffled sounds were the only thing that could pass through.
Yelling.
Moving.
A tight squeeze.
I felt numb. For a moment, at least.
My name.
I heard my name and suddenly, I was conscious again. I blinked a few times and looked up at the desperate Colby. "Please... tell me you're okay... fuck..." His tears probably blurring his eyesight.
A glimpse of strength came back to me and I was able to touch his cheek with my hand. He quickly looked down at me. "I'm fine... I'm fine..."
"Right after we walk out of the room..." Nate pointed out, holding all of their stuff in their hands.
"We need to get the fuck out of here and get her to a hospital." Sam said, walking quickly with the others. I was confused, seemingly forgetting for a brief moment about how I was brutally assaulted by a ghost.
"Hospital? Why are we going to a hos..." As I was talking, I realized why they were hurriedly walking away. I felt the pain all over again. I groaned at the feeling, shaking on Colby's arms.
"You'll be okay, you're going to be fine. Don't move. Deep breaths, baby." Colby tried to calm me down, his shaky breath giving away his anxiety.
✮ ⋆ ˚。𖦹 ⋆。°✩
My back was all bruised up. I had some unknown hand marks on my legs, where I was pulled from. Some scratches tinted my back red when I got into the ER, as well as a few bumps in my head that gave me a red face.
The memories of what happened were blurry, yet so vivid.
And the only thing keeping me conscious was him. I could see it in his face, he felt guilty. Guilty for something that wasn't even his fault.
"Shouldn't have let you go with us... we should've stopped when you began to see so many things... I'm so stupid." He whispered under his breath.
"Hey, hey. Look at me." I said. He reluctantly looked up and into my eyes. I smiled. "It wasn't your fault. Nothing about this could've been predicted, alright? Don't blame yourself." He smiled slightly, only to sigh.
"Yeah, but..." I interrupted him.
"No buts. I'm fine. I'm still here, with you. Right?" I responded, softly while holding his hand. "No need to feel guilty, no need to be sorry. You just have to promise me a good time when I get out of here, yeah? And a good meal." I smiled. "Food here kinda taste like shit." He chuckled, making me smile even more. "That's the face I like to see."
"I love you, so much." He said, holding my hand up to his lips and leaving a soft kiss on them, making my cheeks flutter by the site of his sensitive side.
"I love you too. Now, do that again, but closer to my face."

A/N: me, posting more than once a month??? INCREDIBLE. i was midway thru writing "let's fall in love for tonight" when this idea popped into my head and i just had to write it down. part of this is inspired by a tiktok i saw of a girl talking about a time she was hooking up with a guy. i wish i could find the tiktok and share it with you all bc the moment she said what she said.... i just knew i had to include it in a fic at some point lol so shoutout to that girl. this is a short fic/blurb bc i have some other fics lined up that are gonna be full blown smut so i don't want to tucker myself out writing smut only. and if you see me using what happens in this fic in other fics.... say nothing sksks lmk what you think and i'll see you guys next time <3
prompt: you and colby just want some privacy, but the only place you can get it is in his car. || fem!reader x colby brock

"This is so ridiculous." Colby groaned, pulling away from our kiss.
I giggled, staring up at his annoyed face. "No it's not, it's kinda fun."
"How is this fun? I feel like I'm gonna pull a hamstring." He scoffed.
I sassed him, rolling my eyes. "Well, it's your fault you don't have a car big enough for your five foot eleven ass."
"I don't think I was meant to lay out horizontally in my car." He replied back, just as snarky.
"Well, blame Toyota," I sat up on my elbows, huffing. Does he think I'm comfortable in this cramped back seat? "Or better yet, Sam and Kat for wanting to have their friends over when all we want to do is fuck."
"Maybe if you weren't so loud, we could have sex in my room without everyone knowing." Colby raised an eyebrow at me daringly. I could see his bottom lip quiver as he tried to hold back a laugh.
I narrowed my eyes at him. "You never seemed to have a problem with my screaming before. I'll gladly remember next time you're begging me to say your name to be quiet."
He gasped, legitimately upset. "Begging?! I don't beg."
"'C'mon baby, say my name.'" I mocked in a deep voice. "What's that sound like to you?"
"Commanding!" He barked.
"Not when you're breathy it ain't!" I jeered sarcastically.
Colby sat up quickly, pouting jokingly. He kept my legs on his lap, his hands cupping my ankles. I sighed deeply, smiling up at the ceiling of the car. "Are you really not enjoying this?"
He chuckled, the 'tension' in the car defusing. "I enjoy any time I get to be alone with you."
I hummed, "Good to know. I think this is kinda exciting. It feels like I'm a teenager again, sneaking around with a boyfriend my mom doesn't know about."
"Am I, like, your edgy boyfriend?" He questioned, side eyeing me.
"Oh yeah. You have tattoos, wear all black, curse, drink..." I gasped, "Oh my God, you're, like, so cool."
Colby bit his lip, staring at me intensely. "Get over here."
He grabbed my wrists lightly, pulling me up. I straddled him, a soft grunt falling from his lips as a I settled onto his lap. "Much better." He murmured.
I studied his face for a moment, taking in all the little details I could. The way his hair fell, covering his forehead. The lovely shape of his eyebrows, manicured without him trying - which was honestly the most annoying thing about him. He also had surprisingly long eyelashes for a man, something I was jealous about as well. His eyes - which of course were to die for. So blue and deep. I had stared into them so many times I had lost count. I never saw the end of them, never studied them long enough to know every intricate detail about them. I don't think there would ever be enough time to do that.
"Hi." Colby whispered, softly smiling.
A light blush came to my cheeks, "Hi."
My hands cupped his face sweetly, his eyes closing at the feeling. I gazed at his cheeks; how adorable they were. I would try my best to remind him that even though he didn't like them himself, I enjoyed his "chubby" cheeks. His dimples. Oh my GOD, his dimples. If I could, I would take a picture of every time I was able to make his dimples appear. I would fill a whole photo album of just his face smiling. And I can't forget his nose. His nose was so... masculine, in an interesting way. It fit his face perfectly. Angular with a slight point.
And then of course his lips. I've had dreams of just kissing him. Of just staring at his mouth. Sometimes it's hard to pay attention to him when he talks because all I can think about is his lips and what they've done to me, and what they plan to do.
He laced his fingers through mine, finally breaking the silence in the car. "What's going on in that head of yours? You look so lost in thought."
"I'm just... looking at you." I confessed.
"You like what you see?" He mumbled.
"Love." I emphasized.
He nodded his head, his eyes filled with adoration. He rested his forehead against mine, our lips brushing. His hand slid out of mine, meeting his other on the small of my back. "You are one of the best things that has ever happened to me."
"The feeling is completely mutual." I agreed.
"Good to know...." He leaned in and pecked my lips gently, almost taking my breath away. He pushed my body into his, pressing me as closely as he could. I deepened the kiss, my fingers tugging on his hair. His tongue slid into my mouth, a moan leaving my lips. My hips naturally grinded down onto him, his hands gripping my waist a little harder from the friction.
He moved his mouth from mine, kissing down my neck and finding the perfect spot in seconds. I lulled my head back, allowing him to attack my neck with his lips and tongue and teeth. I whimpered, my hips bucking against his. He pushed his up, grinding just against the right spot to make my breath hitch. I could feel him getting harder under me, pressing against me in the most sinful way. His hands drifted to my thighs, rubbing up and down them.
"You know..." Colby chimed in, breathlessly. "I really love these fishnets."
I uttered, in a daze. "Wha-?"
He continued his motions, causing goosebumps to form on my skin, "I really like that you wear fishnets. They look so sexy on you."
I cleared my throat, finally able to think again. "Um, thank you."
"It's too bad they just take forever to get off." He somewhat grumbled, dropping his head.
I shrugged halfheartedly. "Yeah, I guess."
"How many pairs do you have?" He asked, looking back up at me.
"Of fishnets? Like five or so." I guessed.
Colby nodded. "And how much was this pair?
"What?" I squinted at him, confused. He blinked, wanting me to continue. "Uh, they were like $25."
"Okay...." He paused, his hands resting on top of my thighs. "Remind me to pay you back."
Before I could say anything, Colby's grip tightened on the fishnets. His fingers laced through the holes in the material. He pulled his arms back, ripping the fishnets with ease. I shuttered at his action, gasping in awe, anger, and lust at seeing him tear them without any problems. Feeling them rip from my body, my skin now exposed, caused heat to rush to my sex. My underwear grew even more wet as my eyes met his dark ones.
"Colby! What the fuck?!" I yelled.
"Don't tell me you didn't like that." He grew close to my face, his voice lowering, "Don't lie to me, baby."
I stammered, trying to form words under his lustful gaze. "T-That's not the point. What are you, an animal?"
"Only with you, darling." He whispered harshly.
My breath raced as I glared into Colby's eye. He had such a devilish look to him, and while I was pissed he would rip my favorite tights, it was also extremely hot.
"Fuck, I hate you." I yanked his face forward, forcing his lips onto mine deeply. He smirked against the kiss, humming a response playfully. I snaked my tongue into his mouth, needing to taste him.
He pulled away, catching his breath at my expense. "Are you sure you want to do this? I can't exactly get on top of you."
"If you have to fuck me in the trunk, then so be it. I just need you to do it now." I gripped his shirt, wanting it off his body.
He laughed darkly. "I don't know... you're demanding a lot for someone that's very breathy."
"Colby, don't fucking tease me." I grabbed his hand, sliding it into my underwear and putting his fingers against my heat. I breathed, "I'm so wet for you."
He swallowed hard, his pupils dilating. "Okay... I think we can manage something."
