Hey Micheal what camera would you reccomend to some one starting out taking photos & what’s your set up?

Hey!

I'm a firm believer in buying an inexpensive DSLR or mirrorless setup with interchangeable lenses. You don't have to break the bank on a starter setup — just focus on buying a camera with a robust selection of first- and third-party lenses.

My usual advice is to start simple and only upgrade gear once you run into a physical or technical limitation that stops you from realizing your vision. For example, if you're not getting the shallow depth of field you want with your current lens and body, then maybe it's time to consider buying a lens with a larger maximum aperture (e.g., f/1.8 or f/1.4).

I started out with a Nikon D50 and a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8. That served me well for nearly five years, before I started running into technical limitations with the sensor that made shooting night photos difficult. That's when I switched to shooting medium format film for a spell, before ultimately settling on a full-frame Canon digital body. All-in-all, that experimentation period took about 17 years (I'm still not done).

That said, shop used for your first camera. Places like KEH or MPB have a great selection of tested and used gear. I personally shop from MPB. Here are a few great beginner full-frame camera bodies. I'll break out lenses later on in this post.

Why full frame? I think you get superior image quality, better depth of field, better image resolution for printing, and phenomenal dynamic range.

Anyone of these are going to get the job done and then some.

The world of lenses is complicated and varied. You'll have “prime purists” that will tell you to eschew zoom lenses and only shoot prime (a lens with no zoom capabilities). You'll have people that say longer telephotos are all you need. The truth is, you'll find your niche the more you shoot. I prefer prime lenses for their simplicity (and the less I have to think about, the better).

I could go on and on, but this is enough to get you a start in the right direction.

If I were to put together a beginner kit with the above options, I would snatch up the Canon 5D Mark III with the Canon 50mm f/1.8 and the Canon EF 24mm f/2.8 IS. Total cost before taxes and shipping would be $1,142. You would have an incredibly flexible kit that lends itself to portraiture, landscapes, and street work, all for the same price as a new “prosumer” kit with only one lens from Amazon or other big box stores. If you don't know which direction you want to go, or you want to save on cost, there's nothing wrong with swapping out the two primes and grabbing the 18-55mm kit lens for next to nothing. That will at least let you dabble with different focal lengths and see what suits you.

P.S. I shoot with a Canon EOS 6D Mark I and usually have a Sigma 35mm f/1.4 lens mounted on it for street portrait/street landscape work. My other carry-around camera is a Ricoh GR III.

Mantis Love ;)

A session with this mantis I found on the coast of the Delmarva peninsula. The face shots are simple handheld stacks of 2-3 shots. I wasn't only stacking for DOF here, but also to widen the shots in the same manner as stitching panoramics. First few are 1:1 shot with my 105mm on a DX Nikon body, but since the shots are laid out like a 2 shot pano it gives the illusion of slightly less magnification, and also is why the format is more squared off.

This is a lesser known method I've used quite frequently in my macro work, though I've never heard of other people doing it. I do this so I can still shoot from 1:1 - 4:1 and still get a decent amount of the insects body in the frame despite the fact I'm shooting at macro and beyond.

I came across this website where you like? enter anything and it'll do it with AI. so i told it to show me a picture of a really good sandwich.

and what it did was generate code that would get a random photo of a sandwich from some photo website. (The images are not AI generated). It automatically generates that description too.

So then i told it to write javascript code for a game of pong (I'll paste the code at the end of this post) and it gave me this:

which does nothing. And idk why but I was kinda scared it would actually deliver me a functioning game lol. Probably bc it would take me at least an hour to code a simple pong game, when this generated in 30 seconds.

So i launched the code in vsc and it DOES do something. the ball bounces around but it made the ball white for some reason? so this is what it does after only changing the ball color.

and look at the code, its all formatted and commented and stuff. And i mean, it looks like its at least 85% there, it just needs movable paddles and fixing the ball to bounce into the side walls.

idk i just think this is pretty cool. and now i will be fixing this ai code into a working pong game

There were around six of them, all grinning at me like Cheshire cats, and I swallowed, trying to calculate my chances of surviving if they all jumped me at once.

I didn’t know what to do. I knew if I screamed, they’d pummel me. It might be too late before someone gets here. Ever since Bob died, the Socs have been more restless. Angry. Harmful.

I shouldn’t have been walking alone. I hadn’t even brought a wrench or anything from the DX to defend myself. It was fair game, and I was bound to lose.

One of them moved, and I reacted too fast. They all lurched, grabbing my arms and pinning me down faster than I could fight back. I couldn’t escape, kick and try as I did.

I only remember bits of it. I think I might have hit my head, because I blacked out at some point. All I knew was that I was there for what seemed like hours. All the anger over Ponyboy was beaten into me, and I might have cried, I can’t remember.

It stopped suddenly, I heard shouting and running and a car engine starting and whirring away, and footsteps walking over to me.

I mumbled a plea to stop, to let me go. Hands touched me again and I winced. They were rough and cool, but they held my head off the ground softly.

“Sodapop, can you hear me? Soda?”

Dally.

I could barely speak, I tried to make a noise but nothing escaped my throat. I couldn’t move my hands, or anything else. I could barely keep my eyes open.

“It’s okay. Hey, stay awake for me okay? It’s gonna be okay, Pepsi-cola.”

I would have smiled at the nickname if I could. My whole body was numb, but still seemed to burn with pain as he helped me stand, slinging my arm around his shoulder.

I stepped forward and then yelled out. It felt like I’d broken my ankle, maybe my foot.

“Shit”

I felt the same way as Dally. I couldn’t explain this to Darry.

“Okay, I’m gonna try to lift you up. Is that okay?”

I nodded as best I could, tensing as I felt his arm under my knee and another around my back before being lifted off the ground.

He was so warm. I was freezing, I realized, it was cold and I was cold and he was so warm and strong and I leaned into him unconsciously.

He tensed as I had done earlier before starting to walk.

We must have made it to my house because I heard a door open. I heard voices, they were all too loud, I buried my face in Dallys jacket. Too loud, too much.

I couldn’t remember much after that either. I remembered clinging to Dally as if he were a life raft. I remember being taken from his arms, and then being put back there. He smelled nice, like whisky and cinnamon.

I remember stinging, all over. Aching too. My foot hurt like hell. I remember crying, just a little, holding tight to Dally.

I remember waking up. It was morning, I could see the sun through the window. I was in my bed-I wondered how I got in my bed. I wondered who’s arms I was in.

Dally.

I looked up to see him asleep. He seemed to have dark circles under his eyes, his arms were wrapped around me protectively, hugging me to his chest. I didn’t want to move.

Pony walked in and started, running out again when he saw my eyes open. I closed them again. The sun hurt.

I could hear Darrys heavy footsteps coming down the hall and I winced. I knew what was coming, a lecture for walking home alone, for not bringing a switch, for-being in Dallys arms?

The door opened and I could feel Darrys hand on my forehead. Like he did when me or Pony was sick. Weird, I wasn’t sick. Why was I still in Dallys arms?

“Hey, buddy, you awake?” Darrys voice was gentle, and I stirred and opened my eyes.

“Who’s sick?” I asked.

Darry smiled, a hint of sadness. “You are, Pepsi-Cola. Scared us all half to death with that fever.”

I pushed away from Dally. “What?”

“You’ve been sleeping on and off for almost a day, we couldn’t get a complete sentence out of you-you just kept asking for Dally, you wanted Dally.” Darry stopped and rubbed his eyes. “Dal told us what happened-you must’ve hit your head or something, gotten a concussion, you’ve had a bad fever. You seem to be okay now.”

Dally stirred under me and I looked up at him again, his eyes opened and he looked down at me and then back to Darry.

“Is he okay?”

Darry nodded. “He’s okay. Just woke up a minute ago.”

Dally looked back down at me. He seemed to be debating something, and then he gently moved me off of him and stood up.

“I should go.” His eyes were tired, he sounded drained and stressed. Darry nodded.

“Thank you. For staying.”

Dally nodded and didn’t even look back at me before he slipped out the door.

I wanted to yell for him. I missed his warmth already, I missed his arms around me. I wished I was sick again, so that he would hold me. My whole body ached, I felt sick, my head hurt.

I slept again, more restlessly this time.

It had been a week. I could stand now, my head hurt less. I had grown to be embarrassed of how I clung to him.

He was on the porch, smoking. I walked out there, still in my pajamas and with bed-hair, a bandage around my ankle. He didn’t even glance at me as I sat down next to him.

It was silent for a moment before I spoke.

“Thank you.” I thought that was the right thing to say.

He blew smoke out towards the fence. “For what?”

“For-uh-for staying. With me. The other day.” I looked down. I wasn’t wearing any shoes.

He didn’t answer, so I continued. “I’m sorry for-keeping you there, I didn’t, I wasn’t-lucid. I wouldn’t have asked you to stay-not that I mind-but not like that, you know what I mean-and thank you for saving me and for chasing the Socs away and-“

“Shut up.” He spoke quietly, dangerously.

I shut up. It was silent for another minute. I worked up the nerve to speak again.

“I’m sorry-“

“If you don’t shut up right now Sodapop Curtis I am going to kiss you until you do.”

I nearly fell off the porch. I think he did too, realizing what he had said and instantly regretting it. For some reason I hated that he regretted it.

“I mean-that’s not what I meant” he managed finally, and I sat there. My head felt heavy. I felt tired. I wished he would kiss me.

“I wouldn’t be opposed” I said quietly, still staring at my feet.

It went dead silent then, I’m pretty sure even the wind stopped moving for a second. I didn’t even breathe.

I turned, slowly, to look at him. His cigarette had been dropped in the grass below us, still smoldering. He was watching me.

“I-“ I began, but he leaned over and kissed me.

I felt like I was flying. His lips were rough, chapped, he tasted sweet and tangy and wonderful. His hands were in my hair, I was clambering onto his lap and pulling him closer to me. I pulled away first. It was wrong. I’m sure it said it somewhere, although in my book I had never felt more right than in that moment. To be honest, I was a little light headed.

“I-wow.” My voice was hoarse, quiet. He was watching me carefully. As if he had done something wrong. How did I tell him that that’s what I wanted to spend the rest of my life doing. I could barely form words.

“I’m sorry. I just-I thought something else.” He spoke quickly, coldly as if he had offended me. He began to stand up.

“No-no, Dally-it was wonderful, I lo-it was great, I promise, thank you.” I didn’t know quite what to say. Did I thank him? For kissing me? I felt like I should.

His gaze hardened. “Don’t.”

“What?” My voice was barely a whisper now.

“Don’t act. If you’re not going to-“ he stopped and turned away again. I grabbed his hand.

“I like you. I do, really. I promise.”

He looked at me again, searching my face. I begged him not to leave. Not again.

“You should eat something. Breakfast. Lunch.” He spoke finally. I nearly cried with relief.

“Will you come-do you want to eat?” I nearly kicked myself a second after. He was clearly trying to get rid of me.

He looked at me and smirked.

“Sure, Sodapop. I’ll come.”

Paternity

CC: Diplopia, night terrors ongoing 3 weeks, and a myoclonic jerk

Dx: Subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE)

Diplopia:

aka double vision: the perception of two images instead of a single object

Common causes usually stem from issues with the eyes, muscles and nerves controlling the eyes, and the brain.

Night terrors:

As mentioned in the episode, there are two leading causes for onset teenage night terrors: PTSD and sexual abuse.

Personally I think there isn’t much reason for the patient to have experienced night terrors beyond the initial stages of SSPE causing changes in emotional behavior and personality.

Myoclonic jerk:

Brief, involuntary twitching of some muscles; generally in healthy persons it can be seen right before falling asleep (aka a hypnic jerk).

The patient presents it even though he’s not asleep or tired.

Multiple sclerosis (MS):

In the episode:

After testing some CSF, because of a buildup and blockage, they find high levels of IgG and assume multiple sclerosis, but find no evidence of lesions. A good assumption because over 80% of patients with MS show oligoclonal bands with high IgG.

Since the patients symptoms have only begun 3 weeks previously they determine it’s rapidly progressive MS.

They can’t definitively diagnose MS, because there are no specific tests for it. Generally doctors have to rule out every other possibility before they can confirm. What’s mentioned in the episode is waiting 6 months to confirm, most likely to see progression of symptoms as well as ruling out differentials.

MS is a chronic central nervous system disease in which the myelin sheath and nerve axons in the brain are destroyed. It’s referred to as a demyelinating disease. The damage disrupts the ability to transmit signals which can result in a slew of signs and symptoms.

The three main characteristics are the formation of lesions/plaques in the CNS, inflammation and the destruction of myelin sheaths of neurons

Other specific symptoms usually include diplopia, blindness in one eye, muscle weakness, and trouble with sensation or coordination.

Some pathognomonic signs include:

Internuclear ophthalmoplegia (INO): an impairment in the lateral conjugate gaze, meaning that when both eyes are looking toward one side the affected eye cannot properly adduct (move toward the center). Caused bye a lesion in the medial longitudinal fasciculus (part in the brainstem).

To put it simply, if the right eye is affected, the patient should be able to look to the right, and cross their eyes, but upon looking to the left, the right eye won’t be able to move to the midline.

Positive Romberg’s sign: when the patient sways or falls with their eyes closed. It demonstrates a loss of postural control and proprioception (perception and awareness of one’s body) in the absence of visual input.

Positive Lhermitte’s sign: paresthesia/an electrical shock that passes down the back of the neck and spine, usually brought upon by bending the head forwards towards the chest.

Progression usually occurs as episodes of worsening lasting days to months, followed by improvement (relapsing episodes).

Subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE):

Early in the episode Cameron admits to not having taken a full history or family history which really would have solved the case a hell of a lot sooner, given his birth mother was the cause of the patients issues.

tbf, it was the whole point of the episode to focus on determining paternity, which, given all the daddy issues on the show is a good setup.

Then again, the patient is a 16 year old lacrosse player, and he figured out he was adopted at a much younger age, 10 if I remember right, just from having a cleft chin. Talk about selective blindness on the team.

aka Dawson disease

SSPE is a super rare complication from measles wherein there is chronic progressive brain inflammation caused by the mutated virus.

Patients generally have history of a primary measles infection in infancy (where the birth mother was not vaccinated and thus could not pass along the proper antibodies to protect the infant for up to 6 months), followed by an asymptomatic period that can last up to 27 years. Afterwards neurological deterioration ensues with behavioral changes, myoclonic seizures, visual disturbances, ataxia, and ultimately death.

Anti-measles IgG appears to increase as the disease progresses

There is no definitive cure, but if it is diagnosed in the first stage of the disease oral isoprinosine and intraventricular interferon alfa could help, it varies patient to patient. And the only accepted treatment are purely supportive: anticonvulsants.

Should not be confused with acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), which can also be caused by the measles virus.

Another demyelinating disease, it is a rare autoimmune disease with acute inflammation of the brain and spinal cord.

Often triggered by a viral infection or specific non-routine vaccinations.

Very closely resembles symptoms of MS except for usually occurring in children and marked with rapid fever.

Reason why? My trusty good old Nikon D7000 kind of broke down on me. I was happily shooting away with it on this recent event photo job I got booked for. When suddenly this error showed up on my display. At first it looked like it was only a coincidental error so I didn't bother too much about it. But then it kept coming back, and back, and back... I was going crazy. It seems that the mechanism of the shutter is worn out. If I take a photo more than 50% of the time the shutter "fails". So though the camera still "functions" it's just not reliable anymore. Sending it in for repairs is probably out of question, I probably have lost warranty after years of use. But I am not getting rid of this camera, not at all. I can see myself still using the Nikon D7000 for landscapes, and some video purposes. But its not usable on jobs anymore where every moment and every click should be captured instead of hoping the camera actually taking the photo. (Luckily I had a Nikon D3100 on me as backup to photograph the event, all turned out well in the end)

So, it was now time to purchase a new camera, because. Yes... I can't be running around with a sketchy camera. I need my gear to work. I have been looking to get a obvious step up from my Nikon D7000 for some time, but now I had too anyways. So, its was time to decide. Do I go FX or do I stick with DX? With most of lenses being DX and not having the budget to invest in a FX body with a set of FX lenses I decided to stick with DX. But the next question was, what camera is a step up from my Nikon D7000, is it going to be the 7100/7200/7500 or maybe even the D500. Some sleepless nights later comparing specs I decided to go for Nikon's DX flagship, the incredible D500. I just felt that stepping up from the 7K series was the right thing to do, and really take it up a notch while still being it a DX camera. There's no better DX camera then the Nikon D500.

Some short facts about the D500: 20.9mp APS-C sensor, iso 52. AF system is the same as in the Nikon D5 (Nikon's FX top model) 10fps continuous shooting. 4K 30fps, 1080p 60fps, high iso (up to 51.200) and so on... Its basically a professional FX camera with all these specs. But just with a DX sensor. The right choice for me considering the amount of DX lenses I use.

I know it’s only been a week since I did the previous NMNL, but I had been hoping to have this done a few days ago. But I just wasn’t really in a hurry to use the items like I usually do. The box wasn’t the problem though, I just lost a little momentum again. But I’m feeling better again and I’m ready to do this!

I’ve also been planning on buying the soft drink lip products because of how cute they are, so I found that to be kinda funny too.

Meanwhile, the months horoscope is What cocktail should you try? with mine, Libra, being a Mai Tai. I’ve heard of it, but I never tried it. I’d love to try a strawberry daiquiri though, or maybe a Cosmopolitan- I’m only into fruity, colorful drinks.

Patting Panda Tool

Our first item is a unique beauty tool meant to emulate an important part of the Japanese skin care routine. This is basically applying a lotion product by gently patting the skin until its absorbed in the skin, so this adorable panda wand will help with that. I assume you can also use it with other various skin products.

All you do is apply a cotton pad or paper or tissue or something, then apply a lotion (from the images I assume liquid works better, or something thin and runny), then you tap it against the skin about 30 times. I think you can do more than that though because I noticed mine was fine after that, so I think I was closer to 50 or 60 when I noticed mine was dirty and thinned out/no longer usable.

I mean, in all honesty it’s probably more work just putting this thing together than it is actually applying/patting the product on yourself. BUT, it’s nice if you don’t want it all over your hands or touch your face, and I can’t say it doesn’t work. I used it and noticed that the product seemed to absorb quicker and my skin felt really nice. I also love pandas, so it’s pretty cute in that regard; and it was actually fun to use.

The only thing I dislike is that the loop piece won’t stay on unless you have something for it to connect to on the head piece, the cotton pad/tissue/paper. So until I decide where to put it, I’ll be leaving it in the box, which takes up a lot of space if you ask me...

Speed Off Brush Cleaning Sheets

Our next item is for cleaning makeup brushes, with each wipe infused with Alkaline electrolyte water to remove built up dirt, sebum, oil, foundation, and whatever else might be on the brushes. There is 12 in a set, and let me tell you, I used 3 of them cleaning all of my brushes.

That is because in all honesty, I actually was never told about the importance of cleaning your makeup brushes. I would clean them as I used them, but I never gave them a real, wet cleaning. Not cleaning your makeup tools can lead to bacteria that can lead to acne and other skin conditions- that never happened to me as of yet, but that isn’t to say it never wouldn’t have.

They have a scent, but I’m not sure what it is. It isn’t really a pleasant scent like flowers or fruit, but it’s not bad either, it’s really light.

To be fair you probably could have got the same effect just wetting the brushes and cleaning them manually, but this saves you effort; it’s like the opposite of the panda, but like the Panda, I actually really liked these. Not only did they make everything look brand new and tidy again, but it also did an awesome job removing the built up mascara on my favorite eyelash curler I really need to throw away but won’t because it’s my favorite.

As I said above, I did go through 3 of them, but rest assure that I used each one to its fullest and they were covered. But to be fair, one of my palettes got smeared with another makeup and I had a hard time removing it, and my foundation brush was loaded with product <3< it’s seen a lot...

Fragrance Body Sheets

By Fiancee (a brand we’ve seen before but not recently~) we have these fun looking body wipes in a grapefruit scent. They have a cooling menthol effect and will keep one moisturized and refreshed whether it be in the morning while getting ready or while outside enjoying the weather.

I love these! I’ve always ♥ grapefruit scents or anything citrus-based because to me they’re very refreshing and great pick-me-ups on those lazy mornings you can’t wake up fast enough. They smell amazing and the scent is long-lasting!

The only reason I marked them down is because you’re told not to use these on your face or clothing... I mostly use wipes for my face, and if necessary my clothes too, like if I spilled something while I’m out. I don’t know why they can’t be used on these 2 places, but I don’t plan to test my luck either and I really hope I remember not to use them on my face <3<

I assume it’ll burn...

Japanese Bath Powder & Fluffy Cleansing Pad

First up is an item I’ve had before, but it’s been so long I don’t remember if I had it in this specific version. These are adorable bath powders based on the daruma doll, lucky cat, or a dog, each with their own beneficial ingredients; like the daruma I have contains Japanese snake gourd plant extract, the cat has orange blossom oil, and the dog contains chrysanthemum extract.

As you can see I got the daruma doll, and he smells really good. I can’t tell if its cranberry or lychee or what, but it smells good and has a pretty matching color. I did use it, but because I didn’t feel like taking a bath I soaked my feet in again, but because there’s so much powder I only used a portion of it. The rest will be saved for a bath... or more feet soaks cause lately that’s what I’m into.

Since I’m pretty sure I already had this one, or one exactly like it. I’m not going to rate it, I’ll just say that my feet/skin felt no difference after I used it. All it really did was color the water (no staining btw) and release a strong, pleasant scent.

Our next item is a cleansing facial pad, available in 2 colors/designs, and I was very happy I got the pink one~ But they’re both cute colors. Like the panda, this is another product by Beauty World.

These are for exfoliating and cleansing the skin while removing makeup, instead of using a cotton pad or wipes that might strip the skin of beneficial nutrients. They also brighten the skin. 

I decided not to rate this one either, but only because I didn’t really have much to say about it. It feels really soft and fluffy like the name implies, and it does its job.

Berrisom Horror Mask

Our next item is another Berrisom mask, this time part of their Horror line. We could either get a skeleton version made from Black Rice, which focuses on clearing up dry skin and improving the elasticity and moisturization, or the Pierrot/clown version, made from green tea and bamboo water to deeply moisturize and prevent wrinkles.

In knowing that, either one would have worked for me... but I don’t remember i I mentioned this before or not (I probably did), I’m terrified of skeletons DX I know it’s silly, but I’ve always been; the only exception is that I think skull designs are cute, and cutesy skeletons I can endure, I used to love the Skelanimal series.

It smells good, it has that Target scent I mention some times. I really like it, but I did not like the skull design on this mask DX it was scary. For me to use this, I had put it on and hurried up and put one of my other masks on top of it because I could see myself wearing it. 

Again, I know its weird but it’s what I had to do okay.

Its quality was great though, plenty moist and it stuck very good. It was very soothing, and my face felt really nice after I used it~

Oh My Lash Mascara

Our next item is by Etude House, the Oh My Lash Mascara available in 2 formats; either #3 which focuses on volume or #4 for curling. I got 3, which you can kinda see in the pic on both the tube and lid.

This is a basic black mascara. There’s a little bit of a scent but it doesn’t smell like typical mascara.

I was really disappointed with last months Kira Kira Crate metallic pink let-down, so this one, which wasn’t nearly as cute didn’t give discourage me. As soon as I smoothly pulled out the wand and observed the bristles, I had high hopes this one would be pretty good.

But despite how good it looks, it’s a typical mascara. It’s not the worst and I can see a difference, but my lashes insta-clumped and stuck together. That usually doesn’t happen until like my third or fourth swipe (if I really have to do that many that is...). This won’t be in my top 3 mascara anytime soon.

Lip Tint Jam

Our last item is by Canmake. This lip tint jam is available in No.4 Expresso Jam, but don’t let the name fool you, it has a scent but its not a delicious one. This specific product features a jam-like jelly texture that easily spreads on the lips for a smooth, semi-matte finish. It comes in a brownish-orange shade... A shade I can’t say I was ever considering for myself.

The product isn’t bad, I kind of like how it feels on my lips. It went on smoothly as promised, but I did have to apply it a couple times to evenly spread out, because each time i brought my lips together it seemed to pull it away from certain spots. I wasn’t crazy about the color, but after dabbing it, it left a lighter, but still-noticeable tint on my lips that I approve of a lot more.

Content - 3.5 out of 5. I liked the items, but I felt like some of them were lacking in quality.

Theme: 1.5 out of 5. Honestly, I think only a couple items really enhance ones natural beauty. I never really consider makeup to be Natural, but if you do I’d bump it up to a 2. 

Total Rank: 6 out of 10. The products are fine and they do work,but in comparison to the past two that I really liked, I felt like this one didn’t measure up. It had a handful of nice qualities too though, so I can’t say it was a bad box, it’s just my personal opinion that it could have been better.

1. Body Sheets - Besides the fun, colorful packaging, these smell deliciously wonderful! I’ll be bringing these with me and using them on those sleepy mornings for sure.

2. Patting Panda - It’s so sweet, I can’t help but smile looking at it~

3. Japanese Bath Powder - Smells and looks really pretty. I didn’t feel any different but it was still a pleasant experience. 

4. Berrisom Face Mask - the prior ones weren’t too impressive but they smelled good, and this one smelled good too- plus the quality actually impressed me. These ones would be fun to use at a slumber party or friendly get-together.

5. Speed Off Cleaner - I love its pink and black color scheme on the packaging x3 I was also very impressed by these. I wish we got more, but I can see why we didn’t, since you don’t need to clean your makeup tools all the time. They could end up drying up before you use them all DX

6. Lip Tint Jam - Felt nice but it left my lips uneven and patchy until like the 3rd application. I didn’t like the color until I wiped off a portion of it after a few minutes. The bottle is really cute though and I think it’ll be a nice shade for fall/autumn.

7. Cleansing Pad - The packaging is really cute but the sponge itself is plain; the polar bear face isn’t really even on it, which disappointed me a bit. It feels really nice on the skin though, so I think I’ll still use it. When I remember that is...

8. Oh My Lash Mascara - I think this was the biggest disappointment in the box. It worked but I wasn’t impressed by it. It’s also pretty plain, which is so not the image of Etude House I get.
