I want to compliment Joshua Rosfield on his faith in Dion Lesage.

They haven't met since they were 9 years old. But this man is 100% sure that, not only will he not kill him or Jote, but he'll listen to his story and help him.

House Lesage is responsible not only for the fall of Joshua's house (triggered by Phoenix Gate), but also his father's death, Clive's enslavement, and the continued mistreatment of Rosaria.

But still, this man walks into a camp full of soldiers, makes his way quietly into Dion's tent, uninvited, and stands prim and proper with his hands behind his back even when Sir Terrance draws his weapon, he does not budge.

And his faith is absolutely spot on. Dion, though weary and hostile at first, did not allow Terrance to harm them, and listened to his tale.

All the while, Joshua refers to him as "your highness" and bows to him because Joshua has no kingdom left and has lost his rank (assuming they were equal 20 years ago). But at this point, Joshua is content to be viewed as a "commoner", or even one of his subjects. But Dion doesn't accept that either, he immediately knows that he is a dominant of noble blood and treats him as an equal.

And last, but not least, Joshua has kept his existence a secret from everyone. And the only person that he reveals himself to, besides Clive and Jill, is the son of the man who would be most interested in killing him, if not trying to enslave him for Sanbreque's cause. And instead, Dion joins him.

Like, damn, Joshua. I do not know what happened at that Rememberance Ceremony, but you were right on the money with that leap of faith.

Terra Branford (Mother of Bahamut)

Though a call girl with courtesan level education, Terra had never had to lay with any clients. As she grew, the young lady discovered that magic flowed in her veins and unfortunately for her…well outbursts would occur and magic would flare. The Madam kept it secret though, refusing to have her outer and branded. She would not be marked. Though Terra wondered how she would get her power under control.

during this time a performing magician (a former branded) named Kefka Palazzo had stopped by the pleasure house, mostly for a real bed and not the company. Kefka sensed Terra’s hidden potential and asked to see her, it was there he began training her. Kefka saw her as a prodigy, and made it a point to visit the pleasure house to pay for her. During these allotted time Kefka trained her in magic, control, and how to focus. He HOPED his money was enough to keep her untouched, since people like them were above such carnal things.

The head of the Splendor House had assured she would be kept off limits to men wanting those kind of relations…since Kefka paid handsomely, but unfortunately when Terra had blossomed and became a woman, Sylvestre was searching for a courtesan to bare his child. Someone clean, discreet and healthy. One who could keep silent. Sanbreque was going through a matter of succession…Bahamut had yet to be born, and Sylvestre being the social climber he was wanted to beat out his relatives and become emperor. If HE sired Bahamut then the people, and clergy of Greagor would back him. He needed the Dominant to be born through him…unfortunately his legal wife could not carry to term, and after a third failed attempt he chose to look elsewhere.

He’d seen Terra at a function. A ball, on the arm of a statesman. Sylvestre implored about her, daughter her out and demanded to have her for a night. Yes, surely someone beautiful and alluring would be the perfect one to bear his baby. Madam said the dreaded word ‘no’ to him. Terra was off limits, and was only for social functions…Sylvestre didn’t like that. He didn’t like being told no, and insisted…hounded her. Terra saw that the woman was stressed, and didn’t want to be a hindrance to her…the woman had been so kind. So Terra agreed to the coupling…and didn’t enjoy that all, staring at the ceiling and wishing it to be over.

It took two times…and she got pregnant. With Dion…because Bahamut chose Terra to be his mother, for the fire she held…her heart, and beautiful soul was so strong it drew his light. The dragon Eikon knew that a vessel from her would be an ideal one. Unfortunately pregnancy actually weakened her magic, for it diverted to caring and protecting the baby. Childbirth sapped her power, and left her unable to defend herself when Sylvestre…had her killed.

canon verse: Terra died because she was weakened, her magic in hibernation after safely giving birth. It left her vulnerable to be killed.

Kefka wasn’t informed because he never got the message of her pregnancy. So he couldn’t try to do anything, and he ended up being killed later on.

canon divergent:

Kefka goes to make a visit to Terra (while she’s pregnant) and discovers what happened, knowing immediately why Sylvestre was keeping tabs. He and the Madam came up with an escape plan, and faked Terra’s death so mother and child could be born far from Sylvestre and Sanbreque….

Can the DLC be the Remembrance Ceremony where Dion and Joshua first met, and they sneak into a Fallen Ruin or something? I mean they obviously trust each other for a reason.
