Ok now in wondering if for a dishonor name if the names of the 9 sins can be used for them how badly would you have needed to fuck up? Like tigerstar levels of bad or a new previously thought unobtainable level of evil?

Simply have Bramblestar as your Dishonor Namer and you, too, can have the absolutely incomprehensible title of "BIG SPIDER CANNIBAL"

Spiderleg/Spiderbite/Yisem-mwyrgna loved it. He was like... uncomfortably into it. He gets the title for being part of the Dark Forest attack, attacking his "HalfClan" son, but stopping just before he killed him. So Bramblestar gives him the name as punishment to remind him of what he almost did

But, like... bad idea? For one, Spiderbite is wearing the name with prideful shame because he wanted to repay his sins and his enthusiasm is... uncomfortable. For two? Toadstep is literally right there.

Toadstep has to wake up every day and call his deadbeat dad by the name "Almost Snapped Your Neck, Son." Lionblaze, his suitor (and soon to be mate) also has to see this. Rosepetal, Daisy, Berrynose, Hazeltail, everyone.

In theory it was a meaningful Dishonor Title, and the prose is better than Bramble-average, but in practice? Actually one of his worst.

Which is the problem with sin-names in Dishonor Titles. The 9 Great Sins are about direct harm on other people, not abstractions meant to strip the holy name and encourage reflection on one's actions. Theyre TOO hard, too direct.

They're really best used for exiles, as a legitimate and heavy warning to any Clan considering taking the offender in. So, to answer the question, YOU'VE GOTTA MESS UP PRETTY BAD! but also there arent rules preventing it.

The Dishonor titles of Longstar AU

Dishonor Naming

A Dishonor Name shows that a cat has broken the rules that govern the Clans, but are usually only temporary.  They represent the crime a cat performed.  For example, a cat who stole prey may be named Greedyclaw, or one who keeps eating prey before elders, nursing cats, or kits could be named Emptybelly.  These names are removed after a penance or recompense, such as catching prey for the Clan they stole from for a period of time, or being the last to eat for a moon.

However, there are two exceptions for these guidelines.  A Dishonor title can be applied to a cat to punish their parent or mentor, though this is greatly frowned upon. Bluestar renamed Brightpaw Lostface to Dishonor Starclan, for ruining their lives and taking her mind from her (as she saw it).  And a Dishonor Name can be applied for morally wrong actions.  This applies to Rainflower being renamed Rottenflower for abandoning her kit, for being injured.

Traitor

A Traitor is a cat who has broken a core rule of the Code, such as ignoring a Queen or kit in danger, or attacking their Leader. A Traitor, once discovered and apprehended, are secluded in a den, usually the Healer’s Den, under watch, and are judged by their Leader, the Senior Healer (to see if their actions are shaped by something wrong with them), and the Elders of the Clan.  Sometimes other cats will be included, such as the injured party or another Clan Leader if their Clan was affected.  After hearing the accused Traitor out, Judgement is cast, and several different punishments can be called for.  A Dishonor Name may be applied, along with a punishment detail, and that may be the end of it.  But if the accused is Judged to be a Traitor, they may be killed on the spot, or banished from all of the Clans territories.  Tigerclaw was Judged by Bluestar, Longtail and Flamewish as witnesses of his crime, Goldenflower to represent Lionheart, Willowpelt to represent Redtail and Spottedleaf, and Fireheart as Senior healer.  Tigerclaw was Banished, but perhaps he should have been executed…

False Star

A False Star is a cat who came into leadership through treachery and trickery.  They may kill or betray to become deputy, or be deputy by honest means and let their Leader die to become leader themselves.  These cats are NOT given lives by Starclan, but the Dark Forest may offer to support them, so long as the False Star joins them in death.  Tigerclaw and Brokentail became False Stars, but Nightstar was a true Leader, with nine lives.

Heretic

A Heretic is a cat who believes in Starclan or another Afterlife, but has changed the rules to their own beliefs in a negative way.  For example, one who says the only way to Starclan being perfect obedience to a particular cat or set of rules, or that certain cats should be killed because of coat color, or that only the powerful can join the Stars.  These cats can be misguided and set on a better path, but many are dangerous criminals...

Bramblestar being really proud that he came up with Spiderbite as a dishonor title, up until he realizes just how into it Spider is. It gets on his nerves to the point he also takes his dishonor title away early, this time everyone supports it

Bramblestar: "It is time to forgive the sins of the past, and I think Spiderleg has proven his devotion to the clan, so I will grant him his name back, any objections?"

Spiderleg: "Well I-"

Bramblestar: "ANY OTHER OBJECTIONS"

Bramblestar was SPEEDRUNNING through undoing their Dishonor Titles. Not a single one of them worked. Stupidhead was wheezing. Spiderbite liked it too much. Shredbloom, EXACTLY as Squirrelflight predicted, just felt even more ostracized.

Complete and total backfire. In general, Dishonor Titles for Dark Forest Trainees didn't work because they didn't actually address the underlying problems that drove these cats towards training there. The "true believers" in Tigerstar's agenda died fighting for it-- most of these cats survived BECAUSE they turned tail.

But by the time Bramblestar was backpeddaling, the damage was done. Blossomfall fled to join The Kin in BB!AVoS, along with several other cats who found the cult's message of true family and unity appealing.

Like mice into open jaws.

I can make it work as-is. And I plan to do it by making AVOS mostly about Breeze and his redemption #And play with the sentiment of this generation that things are broken and need to change (and theyre right!) #But. Hello! I was listening to one of the "upperclass rich" songs you can hear in Dishonored 2, do you know if there is a file that names whatever song you can turn on and off again in the level? I think the one I'm talking about is in the Stilton 1847 part.

unfortunately the files don't provide any name for it, since the audio file names themselves are just random jumbles of numbers

fortunately though, a different audiograph piece (this one, which plays in hypatia's cabin) was identified as a real classical piece that wasn't actually made for the game, so i assume the other audiograph songs might be the same. maybe someone with a good ear for classical music can identify it for you?
