I was thinking about my ask about Matt and Trey hugging and it kinda does seem like Matt is deliberately avoiding hugging Trey. This is just a guess, I don't really have any info to support this hypothesis. But maybe Trey doesn't like hugging people in general?? Has he hugged someone else before?? I really don't know.
There's a huge chance I'm wrong but maybe Trey doesn't like being hugged so Matt is just respecting his personal space?? It would honestly give more context why Matt gave Trey an air hug instead of walking up to him and hugging him. The hug from Baseketball could be an exception and just him acting. But in social situations he doesn't like it.
I donno do you think this theory has any truth to it?
Ooh, hello again đ Thatâs an interesting theory, and itâs had me pondering all morning! (No worries RE: guessing, providing evidence. Itâs fun to think about these things, and look for patterns, especially when we recognise that itâs all speculation.)
First, Iâm not sure if Mattâs deliberately avoiding hugging Trey, though I must admit it does appear that way, and if the reason is heâs respecting Treyâs boundaries, Iâm totally on board with that. However, there may not have been many opportunities for a genuine hug between them to be captured on film.
A few things come to mind that might contribute to not having visuals of M&T hugs:
Men often arenât huggers đ¤ˇââď¸ That could be a sweeping statement, skewed through my cultural lens as a Brit, but at least in my experience, guys donât hug that much.
The times we get to see M&T are often red carpets, appearances, interviews, documentaries, etc., and those arenât really conducive to hugging. They wouldnât hug in greeting, for example, if theyâd already hung out backstage or spent the whole day together already. Those types of hugs all probably occur âoff camera.â
Weâve got pics of them (most likely) drunk hugging/grabbing each other, so itâs not something they wonât do, but that could further support that hugging doesnât really come up that often for them in their public appearances.
That being said, other forms of physical touch donât seem to be off the table for them. As I mentioned in the hug post, they often rest their head on or put their arms around each other, which might contradict the theory that Trey doesn't like being touched.
Related: @behind-the-blow pointed out a moment (that I can't find right now, argh!!) in which Matt touches Treyâs arm as theyâre walking onstage to accept an award. It might've been awkward if theyâd walked up there and just hugged each other, but Matt's touch conveyed so much while also taking into account that theyâre stood before a massive audience.
I feel itâs worth considering too how M&T get physically close with others (besides their partners and children, where hugs are probably a given.) John Stamos immediately comes to mind! I know next to nothing about this man, but he seems to exhibit some sort of gravitational pull that makes Matt and Trey more open to physical proximity. Perhaps thatâs just how John is, so it rubs off on those around him. That gives weight to your theory that Trey might not like hugging in general, if it takes someone who's openly tactile to get him into that mindset.
I mean, look at this guyâs power!
Thereâs also this lovely pic of Trey with Andrew Rannells that lives in my head rent free.
It reminds me so much of how Trey cuddles up to Matt in some pictures. Itâs physically quite intimate, but again, perhaps not as much as a hug is.
Again, Iâve rambled on đ
, but I definitely think there could be truth in your theory. I could also believe Matt isnât into hugging, Trey isnât, or neither of them are, or it's simply not something theyâre comfortable doing in public, or it just doesn't come up very often. Either way, it'd make my life if we did get footage of them hugging!!! I've got my fingers crossed we'll get something like that in the upcoming Casa Bonita documentary!! đŻď¸đŻď¸đŻď¸

BPP, am really really interested to read your thoughts on Seven!
*
Ask 2: Hey bpp, can i be honest?? Ive been checked out of the fandom but still keep track of any music releases. So i didnt know abt any rumors abt 7. Imagine me being kind of disappointed that itâs another english song from jk when i watched the mvđ
it feels like his most promoted songs since last year has been all eng song⌠idk i wanted & expted something diff⌠i didnt like l&r, dreamers and now 7⌠itâs back to back lol. Tbf i didnt like My You too and thats in korean. At least not enough to listen!again after the first listen.
Im happy that still with you is finally on spotify tho. Iâll still be waiting excited for his album whenever it comes out. Hopefully ill find something i like in it!!
**
[BPP Note: Both asks above were sent before my "I don't like it..." post. The asks posted below were sent afterwards.]
**
Ask 3:
Same here
All the hype didn't matched with the song
1. rest members songs had so much depth and substance to it while this was the cliche boy chasing a girl song. Like we always dont need deep songs but the quality could be so much better. This was like just another pop song.
I think I'll put this on same level as BAD DECISIONS. But for bad decisions, atleast the chorus was staying on my mind while for this nothing was catchy enough for us to humm. Just because it's JK it will get hype but otherwise it's so generic. I think I liked LEFT and RIGHT way better than Seven. Even the rap portion felt so unnecessary and boring.
2. MV was kinda nice because of the production but concept was too shallow, the stalking and chasing was so outdated. In my country we have like 9293928843837 MVs in this same concept that not many make the same theme songs again.
3. The choreography. We haven't seen the full version. But for tiktok they do the highlight portions if that's so mediocre idk how rest will be. It was again giving the same mediocre showing off choreography and for me backdancers ruined it with their awkward moves.
4. they wanted this song to be played everywhere around the world. But there was nothing catchy enough to attract gp or go viral on tiktok, even if we sped it up. The only way to make everyone listen is to shove it down their throat but doing payola. But idk if investing in payola is worthy for the song. I also doubt the longietivity, as for me it was boring after 2 listens. I'll rather listen Like Crazy or wildflower or closer 20 times than listening this once.
5. I HOPE he'll bring something fresh to the table for his album and don't involve this mediocre producers who uses the same formula and same superstar persona to make a song successful. He is so much talented to sing a song which is so rich in melody and lyrics. And he can produce way better songs by himself.
Prolly a 4/10 for me
*
Ask 4: troye sivan's rush (which also came out last night) is exactly what I wish Seven was. I don't mean that in a 'I expect the things JK to make to be gay' way just in the way it's a fun, very danceable, sexy summer song that doesn't pull its punches. Something about seven feels too run through a commercial sanitizer a few times, even with the explicit lyrics.
***
Hi Anon(s),
Jungkook likes to fuck.
Rather, Andrew Watt likes to fuck and thinks Jungkook can relate.
JK has been talking about wanting to show more mature and explicit sides of himself for a good long while now. So Iâm glad heâs finally gotten to do that, confirming for us why he keeps getting noise complaints from his neighbours since the mattresses all over his apartment don't help.
BTS has made songs explicitly referring to sex before (though it's been mostly the rapline doing so). So it's nothing new but I guess it's cool JK gets to share with us that he too has sex.
The question I posed to my friends immediately after watching the MV is, âDo you know who's been doing A&R for BigHit since 2020? I really need to know who is doing A&R for BigHit in America because theyâve been doing an appalling job lately. I'm starting to wonder if it's an inside job cause this song is kinda ass.â
That was me ~11 hours ago.
I didnât like the song.
Iâve streamed Seven about 20 times since then I think, took a break from the song for a few hours, watched his GMA performance, caught a few minutes of the Wlive, then listened to it again just before writing this post andâŚ
I still donât like it.
Jungkook did a good job on the song, Latto's verse wasn't terrible, and while the song itself isnât bad⌠the song isnât good either.
Itâs painfully, and at this point itâs a pattern so I have to add, predictably, mediocre.
Reserving judgement for the album, but Anons, I agree with you for the most part. The suits at BigHit are trying but they are woefully out of touch with the reasons BTS blew up in the West in the first place. I don't even feel like spending any energy doing a review or even trying to explain what I mean. So I'll just ramble on for a bit but try to keep it brief.
---
I have to give BigHit some credit because I can see what they're going for here. Andrew Watt is a very celebrated producer in the US, he won the Grammy award for Producer of the Year in 2021, he's got A listers in his portfolio. So, he's not a cheap name to book and I can see why the suits at BigHit thought he's the genius to gift them a song clinically designed for American radio.
But that pandejo phoned it in. There isn't a lick of creativity to be found anywhere in all 3 minutes and five seconds.
It reminds me of VIBE by Jimin and Taeyang, as the closest analog to the vague dissatisfaction morphing into annoyance and then pragmatic rationalization I experienced in that same sequence when listening to it the first few times.
The song is disappointing because we've all heard it before. Too many times, and we're bored of it. We've heard JK sing this sort of song for years, as covers mostly. So on one hand, while I guess it's nice JK gets to have an American summer JB-reject pop tune of his own, it's not good enough to be the track that introduces him to the world as a solo artist.
It's fine for any white, blonde, blue-eyed heartthrob that can ride on a pretty face and implicit bias to rack up accolades, it's not good enough for Jungkook.
And BigHit needs to start using whatever leverage a US$10.6 billion market capitalization buys you in Hollywood, to insist for songs that are at least as good as the songs made by BTS members and produced by their in-house team. It's a waste of money and everybody's time to fly a battalion to LA just to record 2014's summer hit in 2023.
In my opinion.
Still With You > Stay Alive > My Time > Stay > Left & Right > My You > Dreamers > Seven
*
All that said, I can't ignore JK has a taste for songs like this, and it's not his fault the song is shit (he didn't write, compose or produce it), so technically he shouldn't be punished for it. And the song is made for radio, while it's not my personal taste a lot of people really like the song (one of my friends likes Seven the most out of all the BTS releases so far), and it will catch on with some support. So, ARMY will support it including me, just to a lesser degree than I've done so far. Fingers crossed JJK1 has something solid on it.

Well I don't know if you heard or not that Venom 3 could only be about the Multiverse and Spiderman and not about the babies symbiotes like Sleeper for example, that many wanted including me too, maybe it could be just rumors but I don't know, the source that says that it almost always said the true things so unfortunately maybe it was just about Spiderman vs Venom and all that stuff.
Hhm. Personally, I don't think that Multiversal stuff is going to happen in Venom 3. But Spider-man is very possible, and it doesn't have to be a bad thing.
Buckle up, because this answer got LONG. I do love to ramble about this stuff. LoL If you want a short tl;dr answer, scroll to the bottom. đ
Let's start with the multiverse talk.
I think that by the time Venom 3 hits movie theaters, the multiverse stuff will be a little over-used (or if not, it will have been the center stage to at least three major Marvel or Marvel related projects--No way home, Into the Spiderverse 2, and Multiverse of Madness. And that is aside from Wandavision and Loki, which will come into play in Multiverse of Madness, I'm sure. Setting yet another project in a theme of Multiversal shenanigans doesn't seem like a smart move, especially when they'd be playing in a considerably smaller turf with Venom (we all love Venom and it IS a high-grossing, super successful franchise, but Venom is the underdog in a Marvel stage, and I am sure Sony and Marvel are aware of this, and so it just doesn't seem likely). I personally don't think we'll see multiversal stuff at a grand scale as part of the story in Venom 3.
We might see repercussions to Eddie and Venom having seen another universe, though. In fact, I'm positive they will at the very least acknowledge their brief multiversal travel in Venom 3, and at most it will affect them in a world-shattering way, which could motivate them to search for their own Universe's Peter Parker/Spider-man. Now that we're speculating in this particular point, I'm going to go ahead and say that, because of the symbiote's presence and their bond, Eddie will remember Spider-man's identity is Peter Parker (the symbiote will remember, as their memories of Spider-man traverse across Universes; I don't think Doctor Strange's spell would have removed the symbiote's hive memories, therefore, Eddie will also remember by proxy) and it would be a missed opportunity for Sony to explore a Spider-man story with Venom.
Look, we all love our Eddie Brock and Venom symbiote as envisioned and brought to life by Tom Hardy, and the Venom movies do not necessarily need to have any involvement with Spider-man to sustain themselves as their own thing. But, there is a fact about Venom that we cannot so easily ignore, and that is the truth that Spider-man is a huge, huge thing for Venom. I think it's inevitable that at some point, our dear, quirky, adorable, dorky Venom and Eddie are going to have to fight Spider-man. Maybe they will be the villains, or maybe to their perspective they are the heroes and Spider-man the villain, but they will meet, and they will fight each other. Whether it is in a Venom movie or a Spider-man movie, it's going to happen, and after that mid-credit scene in Venom 2? No doubt about it. It's going to happen.
Here is where Andrew Garfield might come in.
I don't believe that there needs to be a multiverse explanation for the two to meet--I'm sure at this point they share the same Universe. You'd ask, why does Eddie not know a thing about Spider-man then, if they are in the same Universe? And the answer is super simple: Do we Know for sure that our Eddie doesn't know who Spider-man is? Eddie didn't react to Jameson's report, he didn't get a chance to before the scene ended--we only saw Venom's reaction. Eddie was drunk in No Way Home and was just trying to make sense of everything and his only starting point to make sense of anything at all was Spider-man, the Spider-man of that particular Universe, but apart from him saying "maybe I should go to New York and see this Spider-man" there's nothing indicating in that scene that Eddie doesn't know of a Spider-man from his own Universe. That scene doesn't reveal anything about whether or not Eddie knew of a Spider-man from his own world before all of this multiverse madness happened.
In fact, the only canonical connection our Eddie Brock has ever had to New York has been this scene from Venom 2018 when Anne and Eddie are talking at the restaurant: "We don't want a repeat of the Daily Globe incident. You were run out of New York, I don't want you to run out of San Francisco" (I'm paraphrasing, but Anne tells Eddie something like this). I wouldn't be at all surprised if it turns out this incident involved Spider-man in some shape or form.
So we have this to connect the dots:
1) Eddie Brock has been involved in an "incident" with the Daily Globe in New York, which resulted in him having to leave New York to continue working as a journalist. (<-This must have been a huge deal, so I really, really want to know what this "incident" was. If you ask me, here is the hook they need if they want to give Eddie Brock some beef with Spider-man. What if Eddie secretly blames this incident on Spider-man's involvement? Hm? It would even be accurate to the source material).
2) Spider-man does his thing in New York, where Eddie had some major, almost career-ending incident some time ago.
3) Andrew Garfield's Spider-man wants to fight an alien. (Hello! They wouldn't toss in that line if it was going nowhere).
4) They are very likely in the same Universe.
5) Spider-man vs Venom is pretty much inevitable, and we have a solid setup now, when we didn't have it before. (They will likely team up later to defeat Toxin, maybe? The setup is right there for all of this to happen now).
To ease the fears about the movie focusing on Spider-man, I will say this: Spider-man has appeared often in the Venom solo comics, but he is never the center of attention--these are the Venom stories, after all. (Maybe except that one time during the first Lethal Protector story, but it was brief lol). Spider-man will not come into Hardy's Venom movies to steal the show--he will appear as, first, an enemy (our babies are bound to have their asses kicked by Spidey at some point, I'm sad to say), and then as an ally. We don't need to worry about Spider-man stealing Venom away either--when Spidey comes into the mix, the bad water is already there between Spidey and the symbiote.
Lucky for us Eddie and Symbrock fans, the Venom movies removed the whole origin story of the symbiote feeling like Spider-man's spurned lover, and Eddie being ill with hatred towards Spider-man and becoming psychopathic and all that because of it. Yes, our Eddie still does have those dark, murderous tendencies, which I wish the movies would explore some more (the guy is ok with cannibalism as long as it's "bad guys", there's no world in which that's normal behavior), but Eddie and Venom's bond and the foundation of their relationship is not forged in this deep seated hatred of Spider-man. Their bond is forged in their mutual understanding and the similarities the two share. The love is there pretty much from the beginning, while in the source material, it took a lot for them to get there; to get to the point where they love each other and Eddie can even call the symbiote "my love". It's very unlikely that the presence of Spider-man will disrupt Eddie and Venom's love for each other and their relationship. It might shake it up a bit, but there's no way Spider-man is tearing them apart or representing a threat to their relationship in any shape or form, or âruiningâ them in any way.
There is not going to be a black suit Spider-man storyline in which Venom will corrupt Spidey or anything like that. As I said, their bad water is already there, as Venom remembers all these things from parallel Universe versions of themselves. If anything, our Venom will be initially hostile towards Spidey rather than friendly and won't want to "go back" to him or suddenly prefer Spidey over Eddie. The symbiote's hive memories are enough for the symbiote to have a reason to want to fight Spidey or consider him a "bad guy", without having to go over that whole story again so that our Venom can live through it--the hive memories are enough. Itâs not going to be as personal, but that is a good thing. We can remove all that drama and go straight to Venom vs Spider-man without it being a love triangle type of thing.Â
And for Eddie's reasons to want to fight Spidey, if my prediction is correct (remember this is ALL speculation) then Eddie's New York "incident" had something to do with his own universe's Spider-man. It had to.
I personally would love to see them become villains at some point, if at least briefly. I think it would be interesting.
Now, about Sleeper and the other Venom spawns.
While I love and wish with all my heart the Sleeper plot could be the main storyline for Venom 3 (we do have that pregnancy hint in the mid-credits scene in Venom 2) I don't think it's likely to happen in the live-action Venom movies, at least not yet. If anything, Sleeper might come in at the conclusion of the Venom movies. I think that might be a nice way to end things, with the revelation that they are going to be parents. But bringing in the child, at this point in the story where Venom and Eddie are at the very beginning of the relationship, and starting out as the Lethal Protector, it just doesn't seem likely that they will bring in their child and a storyline for Eddie Brock to become a father--I think movieverse Eddie and Venom have still a long way to go, and what I'd love to see in the third movie more than anything is them really exploring their relationship as a romantic love relationship. What it means to be in love with an alien creature who inhabits your own body, for Eddie Brock, and what it means to be in love with your host, for the Venom symbiote. I think it would be delicious to really go there and say "these two are in romantic love with each other and it's not all flowers and chocolates".
I'd love it if Tom and Andy went really deep into their relationship first, before bringing in their child and a parenthood storyline (but if they do, I will welcome it, because I do think there is a foundation already there with that midcredits scene to bring in the Sleeper storyline).
As for the other symbiotes like Scream, Agony, etc, unfortunately they were already dealt with in the first movie (it was loosely based on Lethal Protector 1993) so I don't think we'll be seeing them in the movieverse beyond what we saw in Venom 2018. They were unnamed, so it's not completely out of the question they will appear later. But it seems their origins were completely changed. Riot wasn't a venom spawn in Venom 2018, and instead was "a team leader" in their Earth mission, for example.
To finish these very adhd rambles in a tl;dr paragraph: I think the rumors might be close to the truth, but I don't think a multiverse plot will happen. I think it's a real possibility we will be seeing Spider-man in Venom 3, but I might be wrong, and it will happen in a separate movie event--Andrew's The Amazing Spider-man 3, where Venom could appear as the main villain, is a REAL possibility, especially with the hype surrounding Andrew's Spidey right now and Sony not being stupid to let that pass without doing anything. The set up is right there, and Venom has always been a villain at some point, even if later they become an anti-hero. Our Venom is more likely to always remain an anti-hero, but they could always become the villain at some point even if briefly. What I don't think is very likely, unfortunately, is a plot centered around Venom's babies (they already did with Carnage, there's that to consider, too) and while I wish we could see Sleeper đ, I don't really see it happening any time soon. If anything, at the end of the Venom movie series. Because a parenthood plot might truly complicate things, especially if Sony plans on doing crossovers with our Venom, unless they do it like in First Host and adapt it well, with Sleeper leaving at the end to explore the cosmos. Who'd be Sleeper's host? Thereâs that too, for example. Sleeper can't remain caged forever. That is one of the complications of bringing in that storyline.

No idea whyâŚ
But the first thought when i saw the lust pair aesthetic post https://katzkinder.tumblr.com/post/664827126371008512 was that Misonoâs personal life and the way he was raised (Lust arc overall) while it made sense and was a major turning point for his character within the overall story⌠regardless, was just a teeny weeny bit effed up. Like, itâs honestly a miracle he came out of all of that crap (the way he was raised) the way he did (and a lot of that is because of Lilyâs care and guidance, even though heâs at fault in some areas too) because Misono couldâve EASILY been way more effed up from how he was raised. There is no denying that fact.
I love how Tanaka not only presented and executed the plot and inner mechanisms of his character both in and since the lust arc (and the story overall of course) because every tragic piece of him and how it affects him makes sense.
I just woke up this morning. Rollled over to check my notifications. Come across the Lust Pair Aesthetic post⌠and all this above âŹď¸ surges through my head but the main part that stood out looking at this aesthetic⌠was #1 not so much the plot of it or anything but thereâs another book whoâs title fits this very well - âMidnight in the Garden of Good and Evilâ (again even though the plot of the book/movie essentially does t really relate, I think the statue made me think of it?) but the wording of that title fits Misono/Mikuni upbringing very well, I think. - - - and #2 (the main thought now stuck in my head looking at the aesthetic post) we still donât know much detail about Lilyâs backstory and/or tragic past from his human life; as of right now, all the fandom has is warranted speculation. I love Tanakaâs writing style, so this isnât a bash on their style or anything - but what if when we finally get Lilyâs back story⌠it has some V.C. Andrews vibes? Given the inferences and speculation of what Lily could have most likely had to endure when he was human⌠I think a V.C. Andrews vibe would fit very very well. What do you think?
(If you donât know V.C. Andrews, I recommend watching lifetimeâs rendition of My Sweet Audrina and watching the Flower in the Attic series the 4 lifetime movies #1 - #2 - #3 - #4 (the books theyâre all based on are incredible as well, but I think the vibes of how they were executed cinematically makes more sense when I think of how Lilyâs tragic backstory could be revealed/executed)
Yeah⌠so thatâs where my brain instantly went after seeing the Lust Pair Aesthetic post đ
⌠howâs your morning going?
Bruhhh I have been Running so much lately. Doctors' appointments and babysitting and attending my cousin's games and her band recital (and I've been getting back into painting, too! Can't wait to show y'all some of what I've done, even if it's not much ww)
And yesss, it IS fucked up! I actually relate to it a lot. From being sheltered and coddled to the point of it negatively impacting my growth as a person because my guardians were afraid of my getting hurt, to some of the more personal family circumstances, to being Terribly Short and babyfaced (I'm still taller than Misono, but I feel as if he's not going to grow much more eitherrr), I started really taking the Lust Arc apart because of how much of myself and my own life I saw in the central characters!
God I will CRY if/when we get Lily's backstory. What happened when he was human, why did he not want to live, what made him the way he is... I want to know it all! And there are so many little things about his character that kinda hint at possibilities, but the fact of the matter is? We don't know a thing outside of those little, tiny glimpses Misono saw before.
I've always heard people talk about "Flowers in the Attic" but never really looked at the book myself... I'll check those out! I think Lily would appreciate the movie recommendation himself; the man loves his films. Adds it to my ever growing list along with "Death in Venice."
Thank you so much for the ask! To tell you the truth, I started my Lust Pair aesthetic tag because I... Am working on an AU! Multiple in fact. God save me. And so far, they're my favorite pair to think about the backstory and circumstances of. The major roadblock I'm at is actually drawing the fuckers jkgkfd
Current Project list is... Very long. And then I keep adding more and more WIPs to the pile, OOF xD
