ROUND 2 - GOTH
As a recap, last round, Dina and Mortimer got married and despite a rocky start to their marriage, welcomed twin boys, Francis and James. I toyed with Alexander not liking Dina and demanding she be removed from the home, but I didn’t think that made much sense with him being happy for his dad and stepmother getting married. I think he’s more upset that Mortimer found Bella completely moved on with a new family, since she just popped out Don’s second baby.
Dina very quickly gets tired of housework and hires a butler to keep everything running smoothly. She wondered why the Goths didn’t already have one, unless Cassandra was content with doing the cleaning.
The butler’s first order of business was making some lunch for the household. I guess their marriage is going really well if Dina’s comfortable just letting it rip while Mortimer’s still eating, god bless her.
Alexander seems very happy with his new stepmother, and tries to block out his old mother who abandoned them. He’s not really acting out, he’s just a little depressed as he comes to terms with his new life.

This is not a painting. This photo was taken in 1911 by Francis James (FJ) Mortimer FRPS (1874-1944), a pioneer of pictorial photography. The sea his favorite subject, he captured the shipwreck, Arden Craig, a three-masted wheat ship that slammed into rocks in nine feet of water after the captain became disoriented in a heavy fog.

Francis J. Mortimer • Seagulls at rough sea, 1913
This rare mezzotint gravure on thick art paper is one of the best oeuvre by pictorialist photographer Francis James Mortimer (British, 1874- 1944)
Mortimer was a yachtsman, and is best known for his dramatic seascapes. He became a member of the prestigious "Linked Ring" in 1907 and he often combined negatives for photo-montage as is also obvious in this image
