I still don't know what to make of this tweet

What did they mean by this? Maybe they presented a Modern Nack, and as a result got shut down because of ether the Modern/Classic divide or Because perhaps Modern Nack counts as a Archie Sonic character? What did the original plans look like? I emailed them awhile back and the only info I got was that no prototypes were made from the plans, so he would only exist in concept art or pattern form if any physical objects came from such a pitch. Maybe the problem was his gun? After all, we didn't get a Fang the Sniper plush, we got a "FANG" plush. So maybe that explains the Shrek ears and lack of gun. Maybe they weren't allowed to make a plush with a gun. I don't know. I really want to know more though. This info will bother me till the day I know, I have to learn.

I’m sorry but everyone voting Mephiles is so lame like?? he’s had a GE plush, been a buddy in Sonic Runners, is playable in SFSB, and he’s getting an action figure. SonicMan has had no game appearances outside of 06 and he’s one of the funniest, weirdest fucking things in the entire franchise. He’s literally just a guy and yet he’s outpacing the fandom’s darling who debuted in the same game as him. He’s beating Shadow. SonicMan fans deserve this W

and they're actually pretty accurately scaled next to each other, which can't be said for every figure in this set as Sonic and all the other anthros are too big and tall next to Eggman. these two look great together though!

I've wanted more Big merch in general as I only had a GE plush and a small Sonic X figure. I always wanted an articulated one but I never found the Jazwares in store and couldn't afford it online. I'm so happy Jakks Pacific made one and he looks so even better and so accurate too!

Eggman can recruit Big into the empire and Big will give him lots of hugs!

i knew about the general consensus on great eastern plushies long before i got into sonic (as a collector i like to look into plush stuff as well!) but damn, everybody was right. the GE plushies are very consistently the most on-model and high-quality sonic series plushies. their fabric choices are a little odd (why perfectly smooth instead of fuzzy 70% of the time? cost cutting measure?) and the occasional printed-on cheap-looking faces arent great. but their higher-quality non-cheaped-out plushies are generally fantastic. when theyre not the emoji ones or the Orbs. i like the on model ones lol

🦔 Favorite version of Sonic? (the character)

Idk, probably the IDW version (don't tell Surge), I know he's just an extension of modern game Sonic, but he seems like a chill & fun dude to hang out with, some of the other versions of Sonic are kind of annoying lol.

I like how passive and hard to read "Sonic X" Sonic was, and Archie Sonic's perspective in the story makes his character a little more interesting to analyze.

Favorite plush/piece of merch?

That I own would probably be either the official Tangle & Whisper plush, they're so lovingly detailed! The fact they even exist is still really cool.

Or it would be the plush I've had the longest is probably this Classic Amy plush I got around 2010? I think she's adorable, I can see why they've kept the same pattern for years.

For Sonic characters that are all like goofy looking animals, becoming a well made marketable plushy is probably the highest honor they can receive. I hope GE Entertainment keeps making them, they're all pretty great imo, even the lumpy ones.

📆 How long have you been into Sonic?

I keep coming & going from it. My earliest exposure was when I was a preschooler, then again in late elementary/middle school with Sonic Underground, but I wouldn't really call that being into Sonic, at least not by my standards, it was just a thing I watched.

Nah I'd say since late High School is when I started wanting to look more into it. So 17 years. With a big 10 or so gap inbetween when I didn't keep up with it all.

This current wave has been the most intense, starting in 2022, so coming up to 2 years about

I found this Shadow plush on Walmart's website but he's been out of stock for a few weeks now... He's really great looking but I don't think i'll be able to get him. I've been checking the store every time I go but they only have Sonic and I can't find any other listings of him online. I really want him but I think I'm out of luck... Maybe I'll just get the GE Shadow instead.
