i love how the episode description for s13ep1 says that "louise is jealous of tina's hands" which is SO NOT what the episode is about or what happens w/ them??? like who decided that was the best description of that episode's subplot. FIRST episode after the movie and they write "louise is jealous of tina's hands" like it had to have been a joke. JEALOUS OF TINAS HANDS??? THAT WASN'T EVEN THE PROBLEM IT WASNT TINAS HANDS IT WAS WHAT SHE WAS ALLOWED TO DO WITH THEM

It's Gayle wanting to go to London to anchor the coronation coverage. CBS won't send her if she keeps attacking the King.
Gayle anchored the CBS team for both The Queen's Platinum Jubilee and The Queen's funeral. She wants the hat trick of the coronation, no doubt.

“Klotilde Roe” (Hungary 1968)
“Klotilde” was one of 34 pregnant people in a Hungarian study who were killed by legal abortion. Among these, sepsis and/or peritonitis as a category was one of the most common recorded causes of death. (Given that the cause of death was not given for some fatalities in the study, it is unknown how many more died the same way she did.)
Unless otherwise specified, the abortions in the study were almost always done in the first trimester. They were carried out in hospitals and most clients were observed until the day following the abortion to watch for any complications.
In 1968, Klotilde underwent her legal abortion in a hospital. The circumstances were described as “optimal conditions” in the study. However, it is important to note that abortion has inherent risks no matter how well-equipped the hospital is. All the expertise of “specialists who have acquired great experience and skill” would not be enough to stop her from developing sepsis and dying.
During the study period, more Hungarian women died of sepsis from legal abortion than from all causes of illegal abortion combined. While stringent regulations helped, allowing elective abortion at all enabled the deaths of women who were told that they were consenting to something “safe and legal.” It is also important to note that the difference in reported abortion mortality between 1931–1932 and from 1964–1972 (see American Journal of Public Health in June of 1976, page 571 for this comparison) had far more to do with medical innovations such as blood transfusions and antibiotics than with legalization status.
Even decades later, pregnant people still continue to suffer sepsis and die after legal abortion. These include Keisha Atkins, Alyona Dixon, Holly Patterson, Sarah Dunn, Gabrielle Ivy Felts, Hoa Thuy “Vivian” Tran, Allegra Roseberry, Maria Del Valle González López, Chanelle Bryant, Oriane Shevin, Sophie McCoy, Gail Wright, Christin Gilbert, Imari Lawson, Carolina Gutierrez, Angela Hall, Brenda Benton, Rhonda Rollinson, Michelle Madden, Semika Shaw, Linda Gayle Lovelace, Mary Ann Tennyson, Angela Reynolds, Debra Walton, Joyce Ortenzio, and many cases recorded in medical journals, adverse event databases and lawsuits worldwide.

I've thought of genderbend Gale too. But it could still be Gale, as it's a gender neutral name.
In someone else's fic, sure. But this one is mine.
I did wonder if someone would correct my choice of genderbent fanfic name, though I didn't expect it would come quite so quickly. But the canon spelling of Gale's name has conventionally masculine associations for me, and homonyms like Gail or Gayle are so common in the real world that they're also jarring for me. Gala seemed too obvious (and... too much a kind of apple), while Gaila only reminded me of Star Trek, which seemed a more apropos association to me personally.
For me it's short for Galatea.

I'm perplexed by the Gail King comment to Jan Moir about them not believing the family is racist.
Or Oprah is telling her to stop or the Harkles really want the reconciliation year.
No, but one thing is what you say in public and other different what you say in private. All of those people love the race baiting and portray a race warrior behavior on public, but what they think in private it’s different. It’s odd, but perhaps Gayle was off guard, perhaps she never expected that Jan Moir to report that little conversation, I thinks Gayle didn’t know who the f*ck Moir was.
Who knows it’s odd AF, and we should be worried if this is coming from the Harkles
I think H&M would have tried to reconcile if TQ was still alive but now with KCIII I don't see that happening. If this doc and the book attack him and William, yeah Harry is sunk.
Also, to flat out accuse the family of being racist when you don't know them is not a good move. That is how people get sued.

Murder at the Inn by Katie Gayle (Julia Bird Mysteries Book 4)
Julia Bird loves the village pub quiz, but it seems one of her team won’t make it to the next round alive…
On the first Tuesday of each month, Julia Bird and her Agatha Quizteam teammates take part in Berrywick’s village pub quiz. They take it seriously – what’s the point of playing, after all, if you aren’t in it to win it? But it seems someone connected with the quiz night has taken the competition to a whole new level when Lilian, the local police constable and all-round general knowledge expert, is found fatally stabbed after the evening’s final round.
With local DI Hayley Gibson stuck home with a broken leg and an incompetent Superintendent brought in from the nearby town, it’s up to Julia to make sure the investigation stays focussed – whether they like it or not! While the police are convinced that the murderer is linked to Lilian’s professional life, Julia turns her amateur sleuthing eye to suspects much closer to home. Perhaps Lilian’s personal life could have something to do with the dreadful crime?
When another quiz team member is attacked, Julia is finally put on the right track. But what could possibly be important – or dangerous – enough for two attendees of the pub quiz night to meet such foul ends over? Could the culprit really be among them on that busy Tuesday night? As Julia’s race to identify the killer ramps up to desperate heights, she wonders, where will the murderous spree end?
My Review:
I am finding harder to review series I love and read since the beginning than a new series. I love them and enjoy the stories but I’m never sure I’m not rewriting the same review or telling things I already told.
This blah-blah because I thoroughly enjoyed this new Julia Bird mystery, a novel which is high on my sleep deprivation and fun scale, and it kept me reading till late in the night.
Julia, Sam, Jack and the characters I love are at their best and their evolution is making them more likeable and interesting.
There’s a solid and twisty murder that kept me guessing and surprised me.
I would kill for a garden like the one in this book as it’s something on my bucket list.
I strongly recommend this entertaining story.
