I think most people don’t realize that by the s4 finale, Guillermo wasn’t upset about the whole freddie thing anymore. He was just chilling out with nandor and the rest of the vampires and wasn’t even thinking about leaving. The reason he actually made the decision to pack up his stuff and ask Derek to turn him was because he realized 15, 20 years for a vampire is the equivalent of 15,20 weeks at most. And he couldn’t stay with nandor for 20 years until he finished his books and turned to another hyperfixation. He’d be too old. That’s why he decided to leave to become a vampire. And also he realized that nandor was going to be boring for a long while. So he decided to become a vampire in the meantime to have some shenanigans of his own.

I could talk for hours about how genius seasons 4 and 5 of wwdits are like actually. Like yeah they have problems and s3 is still better but y'all (mostly twt, tumblr is a little better) are sleeping on some of the show's best and most profound moments because they didn't have the wish fulfillment of a fanfic

#season 4s ending was so good and had so much to say. just because it wasnt flashy or romantic doesn't mean its a bad finale #and season 5 was a lot less eventful but Guillermo's arc is INSANE #and as far as i can tell a lot of the more underwhelming aspects are because they were saving wrapping up those plotlines for season 6 #i think they do have the skill to end the show on a good note next season #wwdits #what we do in the shadows

ok but imagine nandor kinda insulting guillermo like he usually does, meaning it as a joke and laughing at it bc he finds himself funny and guillermo doesn't get angry, he doesn't look at the camera long–sufferingly, he doesn't look at the camera at all. instead he just looks at nandor sadly, simply staring at him with his lips tipped down then just walks past him calmly. and he doesn't ignore nandor after or anything, but his disappointment is obvious and nandor frantically realizes that. oh. he's losing him.
