*I emerge from scrolling tags to avoid writing an essay about learning styles, staring madly and with my hair torn out of my head*

okay so btw, Phil is the top requested QSMP character for the exchanges I run, usually followed by Chayanne (and then spiderbit/parrot duo, usually only like one or two votes behind).

Pissa is the 7th most popular QSMP ship, with 299 fics of this writing, and Phil & Chayanne is the 10th most popular ship, with 265 fics. Phil is the single most popular QSMP character on Ao3, tagged in 2,354 fics.

Speaking as someone who regularly goes into both the Phil and the Etoiles tags to queue art, Phil has tons of awesome art. People liveblog his lore streams. I personally saw the Cellbit discord doing a primer on his hardcore lore the other day because someone had the theory that it was going to be applicable to general QSMP lore. If I see a cool moment on stream, I can open up the tag six hours later and there's art of it.

Do you know how many fandoms would absolutely kill for that?

Phil is not sidelined by the fandom. He is doing FINE. That is the opposite of the problem we are having, we are having the problem where Phil is popular enough that people show up to other people's lore like "let me make this about my guy" and I scream and claw my face and apologize for them. We are having the problem where while MOST people in the tag are well behaved, just by laws of percentages, even a very small portion of the fandom acting badly makes fans of other characters clutch their blorbos to their chest and mutter darkly about "phil fans".

It might seem a little less if you're used to DSMP at its peak, but I assure you, DSMP at its peak was a megafandom. We are a healthy midsized-to-large fandoms and Phil is one of the big characters. I promise you.

Let me put this in DSMP terms. Phil crows? We are the inniters of QSMP. We are doing FINE. I assure you. Trust me.

Do I agree with the characterization everyone is bringing to the table for my blorbo? No. Popular characters get misrepresented. Is every fic in the tag a masterpiece? No. Baby writers get to have fun too. Do I sometimes go "aw I'd love to see more art of phil and [x] because I love their dynamic"? Yes. The nature of being human is to want more of your blorbo and for your takes about your blorbo to reign supreme.

But if you were kind of going "I want to see more of my blorbo :(" and thinking that represented that the fandom was not paying attention to the blorbo, I assure you, I've run the numbers, Phil is not being sidelined.

Qsmp! Tallulah Character Analysis and How it Relates to Pissa

It hasn’t been long since Tallulah fully accepted Missa as her dad but I honestly believe Missa healed her. And we definitely have enough context to talk about in length relating to Pissa.

Tallulah always felt like an outsider. Even when Chayanne and Philza accepted her as family. Her father Wilbur had to leave without any choice of his own. Philza in her eyes had Chayanne as a priority. She thought herself as a burden especially with her asthma. She always struggled with the idea people thought she was. They thought her gentle and sweet. Loves flowers. But she always been more.

I can see some traits in her that reminds me of Missa and Phil. Like I said before Missa is a bleeding heart that spills like ink. Tallulah is the same. She and Missa are the most emotionally intelligent of the family. But also the ink tends to stain her own hands. She has so much emotion in a small body. So she lashes out like any child would. And it can get ugly when she does.

This isn’t her fault. She is a child that has been through so much pain and trauma in such a short period.

Philza is a good father but sometimes you need a more gentle and understanding touch. And that is Missa. I truly think a part of her healed when Missa called her his daughter. As she was just chosen because he loves her. Not out of obligation. She was chosen.

Missa left right before Tallulah was left in his care. And when he came back. Philza immediately said he had another child. A daughter and Missa immediately accepted her as his daughter. Missa love is immense and non-conditional.

Tallulah though always thought of Missa as Philza husband and Chayanne papa. She never imagined he would have the same love for her. She always heard so good things about him. Primarily because Phil and Chayanne are similar and love deeply and quietly.

So that day in the prison when Missa said to her he always thought of her as his daughter. She was so happy. Even the fandom at large never expected this to happen. We thought there would be tension and conflict. Especially because after being gone so long in purgatory. She gained new emotional scars. And a want to not be coddled anymore. And she always been against anyone besides Phil and Wilbur considering her their daughter.

I truly believe she saw how much Chayanne and Philza loves Missa. That she grew to love him as well. Philza can’t stop talking about him after all. And he only has good things to say. But she didn’t want to take what she considered not hers.

But we didn’t get an idea of what Missa and Tallulah dynamic would be until recently. She was always sorta coddled by Philza and Chayanne and only recently has she started to be way more independent.

And what has been shown in Missa and her dynamic. Makes me certain she needed Missa. Missa loves her just for her. Not for any idea of her. That was the primarily reason she was always so against others adopting her. Philza and Chayanne she felt loved her out of obligation. (Not true and she has realized that now but it was something she struggled with.)

Or in the case of others. Loved her for the wrong reasons. Loved her mask. Not her truly. Wilbur was the only one that chose her. That loved her for her. Of course she struggled heavily with his absence. In a home she felt at times she was a stranger intruding into their home.

But Missa saw her. Without the mask. And he loves her for it. Missa didn’t consider her weak or something to be protected. She is strong and amazing. And Missa didn’t have an obligation to love her. The day he learned of her. He loved her. And he knew nothing of her.

Philza made her strong and ready to battle. She gained so much knowledge from him. But with Missa she can be his strong warrior. Not the protected. And that healed her. Death family loves each other so intensely. They love each other flaws and all. And that is beautiful.

Overall, she easily accepted Missa as her dad because Phil and Chayanne loves him so much. And Missa loves her just for her being herself. Flaws and all

Big statement to say, but it’s very very true. How it happened though, well that’s a long story. It dates back to when you were both seniors in highschool….

You were a dream girl; straight A's, decently pretty, wasn't talkative yet everyone ended up having a conversation with you, just all around good. You were the girl everyone wanted to be friends with, the girl that guys would fawn over and other girls would envy for your vigorous reputation. But alas, that's only the shell that people saw.

In reality, you were someone a mom would scold you for hanging out with because you’re so risky. When you were nine, you climbed a telephone pole and did the macarena sitting on top of it. At fourteen, you somehow hot wired your fathers car and proceeded to crash it, breaking only a toe. And now, at the ripe age of eighteen, you have caused your entire family to move from Miami to Coachella Valley; what a big jump.

It wasn't your intention to almost burn down the school just because you got into a fight and your first defensive measure was to whip out a lighter attached to a can of hairspray and try to turn poor Greta Stone into a Doctor

Phil look-a-like just because she called your brother a fag.

You liked to say it was an accident.

But expulsion was given and boy were your parents angry, so angry that they hopped a few states and ended up in a small town full of party people.

Your brother, Theo, was so disappointed in you that he called you a "queer failure".

"But you are, and that is a tragedy." Theo replied, his nose buried in a picture of Rob Lowe.

He was already engorged in a magazine from the local drug store that he didn't even realize he was spilling his Pepsi, which you found of the utmost amusing.

"Will both of you please stop bickering? You've been nipping at each other for so long you didn't even notice we are here." Your mother said, scolding you both..

You peered out the window, your y/e/c eyes focusing on the large familiar building. It was already busy with people, some rushing through the doors while others loitered around their cars and by the bike parking area.

You frowned, but got out of the car with your usual calm demeanor. Theo followed suit, hopping out with what he would call a 'gay swing', and strutted off into the ocean of high-smoked teenagers to presumably get a buzz.

"Behave, okay? I don't want a call again." Your mother said through the car window, smiling warmly at you.

"I'll try mom." You replied, leaning down to kiss her cheek before you walked off.

It was a normal thing for teachers to call home about your behavior; you always ended up being reckless and snappy with everyone and everything you come across. 

But that's just how you are.

With your bag loosely hung over your shoulder and your head held high, you lazily walked towards the school, ignoring the looks you received from passersby.

See, your wardrobe was different from most girls. You didn't wear any of the typical sundresses or skinny jeans with floral shirts, you wore guys clothes, nike shorts with hoodies and converses, no matter the weather. Not trying to peg yourself as ‘i’m not like other girls’, but you were definitely a heavy masc.

As you walked in, you noticed a pair of three girls ogling a guy walking past. He had blonde curly hair styled back into a mullet, with matching denim jacket and jeans, and a white button down. A cigarette hung loosely between his lips, completely disregarding school rules as he went towards the parking lot.

'Typical lazy fuck.' You thought as you passed by.

You eventually made it into the school, and proceeded to head straight for your locker as you didn't need any interaction with anyone here. You fumbled with the lock and it's nerving combination before successfully opening it. You took out your assortment of books and binders, placing them neatly on the top shelf before hanging up your backpack.

You were so engrossed in organizing your locker that you almost missed a certain latina girl walking out of the bathroom. Your eyes snapped to her and followed her down the hall to three lockers down from your own.

That girl was Jenna Ortega, the prime jewel of your highschool, or so you liked to think. She was drop dead gorgeous in your opinion, with wavy brown hair that framed her beautifully freckled face, chocolate brown eyes that sparkled in the sunlight, and slightly tanned skin that looked warm and inviting. She was the girl that you first fell in love with, and probably the last.

You first met Jenna when you were outside fixing your bike in the driveway; Jenna happened to go a different route on her morning walk and had noticed you working your ass off in the California sun. She stopped to say hello and introduced herself seeing that you were new to the neighborhood.

Ever since that day, you couldn't stop thinking about her.

Jenna’s heart belonged to no one, but that still didn’t mean should or even could make a move.You didn't mind, it was actually easier to just admire and imagine instead of embarrassing yourself with a potential rejection.

Doesn’t mean that you still yearned to be with her.

"Hey Y/n!"

You were snapped out of your thoughts by a voice you knew almost instantly, your body turning to the short girl.

"Hey Jenna." You replied smoothly, though your heart was running forty miles a second from the voice of a girl who could easily end your life with a wink.

“How was your weekend?” She asked, looking up at your with the most gorgeous eyes you’ve ever seen, “Was it enjoyable?”

“Meh, it was alright.” You said, grabbing your binder out of your locker, “How was yours?”

“It was relaxing, just what I needed.”

You hummed and nodded, reaching down to grab your water bottle, “Did you need something from me?”

"I was wondering if you had anything to do after school today? I need to study for my chemistry quiz and you are the only person who I trust to help me get it done." Jenna asked, toying with her fingers.

Truthfully, Jenna didn't need help studying for her chemistry test, she actually didn't need help studying at all due to the fact that there wasn't a chemistry test. She just wanted to spend time with her friend, the one she couldn't get her mind off of for some reason.

See, she found you to be one of the utmost unique. From your cinnamon brown skin, to your silky hair that was always pulled back into the cutest pony tail. Jenna saw you as the prime reason to why she questioned her sexuality.

But she wouldn't tell you that, she wouldn't tell anyone that.

"Uh...sure, I don't have anything to do today." You muttered, shutting your locker.

"Awesome! Want me to drive you there?" Jenna asked, smiling brightly, which you found entirely cute.

"Whatever works best for you."

Jenna whooped and threw her arms around your neck, burying her face in your green sweater. She loved the smell of her undying crush, finding that your scent was that of coffee and morning air, far better than any candle or air freshener she could buy.

"I'll see you later!" She said, leaning back to smile at you for a moment before hurrying off to her first class.

You watched her go, smiling to yourself as the girl of your dreams waved to every person she saw. Times like these made you question whether love was a feeling or a curse, especially since your heart thumped for one of the most famous upcoming actresses ever.

All your friends started arriving. Jack’s friends weren’t there yet. The bottles of wine, chocolates, and popcorn came out immediately with cheek to cheek kisses and squeals. Pizza was ordered and you made your famous dip. Jack tried to taste it and you slapped his hand. “Um nope! Get your finger out the dip Jack!” You said.

The event was well underway. The first bottles were popped and glasses of wine poured. Your friends arrived in their pyjamas, cute hairstyles like pig tails, and fuzzy slippers. All 8 of you took over the living room blasting music and dancing while you picked a scary movie.

Jack went into the smaller room to set up for his friends. He already had a headache from the constant chatter and OMGs every 2 seconds coming from the living room. He said you could have the living room to keep the peace but he wasn’t happy about it.

“Bro dafuq??” His friends complained as they filed in.

“I don’t know whether to be pissed they took over our space or really turned on right now.” Phil said bewildered

“Let’s just make the best of it bro, we’re all packed into this tiny fucking room like sardines.” Urban said making a space for himself between 2 other guys.

As the evening wore on the noise from the living room rivalled the video games with screams from the movie and lots of talking giving directions and advice to characters that were dumb enough to go into an abandoned house all alone. Suddenly it got quiet. Real quiet. Jack noticed but was glad for it and didn’t pay it much mind as he was winning playing himself in 2k.

“We need to prank those mfs” your friend Ashley said. I gotta get Urb back for stealing my sandwich the other day.”

“Yeah!!! Let’s make it a night they won’t forget!” Your friend Jennifer said who had dated Sunni, who saw her but made a beeline for the smaller guest room without saying hi.

“Ok ladies…I have a plan.” You said with an evil grin.

“Maya and Jennifer you distract, me and Ashley will execute.” You said as you dished out military style plans to your soldiers. You went to your bedroom to strip down and put your robe on. Maya knocked on the door to the spare room shushing all the other girls to stop giggling and take things seriously. Another girl was waiting to record everything that was about to happen. Ashley was on one side of the door with the eggs and another friend was on the other side with party string and another with flour. The party string and glitter filled balloons were left over from Jack’s birthday last year. More girls were busily blowing a few balloons up that should stick nicely to the eggs, and were waiting with pillows filled with feathers. Everyone was still when Maya knocked on the door.

“Dafuq do they want?” Jack said as he opened the door thinking it was you. “Maya? Whats up?” Jack asked innocently “Does Y/N need me for something?”

“Naw, um Jennifer would like to talk to Sunni.” Maya said with a straight face. Matter fact, we have a treat for all of you if you don’t mind taking a break from those big boring games.” Maya said shooting a flirty look at Phil who gulped hard as Maya was in pyjamas and bouncy pigtails.

Sunni was vehemently shaking his head and mouthing “NO Way!” To Jack who said “Sure, let’s take a break fellas, the girls got something for us.”

You were waiting in the wings and when they all started coming out of the room it was like ambushing squirrels in a barrel. You gave the nod and one by one as they came out they were mercilessly pelted with raw eggs and flour and got tangled up in party string. As they we’re trying to see through the flour caked to their faces you streaked naked right through the chaos to glitter balloons ceremoniously popping and them getting hit hard with pillows.

All off the guys were yelling in confusion and surprise, bumping into one another slipping on the flour, getting their hands all sticky to get eggs yolk out of their hair and eyes, and spitting feathers out of their mouths. There were feathers, glitter, flour, party string, and eggs EVERYWHERE. You in just your robe and your crew of assassins stood there pointing fingers and howling with laughter. It was the ultimate payback.

Jack just stood a complete mess in shock. He had truly underestimated you. A part of him was proud, but among part was pissed not at the mess but you flashing everyone. “Y/N!!!” He yelled “Imma fucking…Imma…Im bout to…” He couldn’t even speak

“Bout to what? You got glitter and eggs up your ass” you howled red in face from laughing so hard.

“Come Y/N give your man some love.” Jack said as he came for you arms open to make a huge mess of you when he caught you.

“No!!! Jack no!!” You squealed as you tried to run and succeed in locking yourself in the bedroom.

“Y/N open the fucking door!” Jack said laughing and banging on the door.

Meanwhile Sunni stood looking at Jenn as she held her sides doubled over in laughter. “You look good enough to eat.” She said

“That was top tier. Wanna give me a kiss?” He said a complete mess as he took a feather off his nose that just landed there.

“Yes I…I do.” Jen said seriously looking at him longingly “Sunni…what happened? You just ghosted me.” She said and moved closer to him.

“Jen I’m so sorry. You know how shy I am. I couldn’t believe a girl like you actually liked me, and I wasn’t sure if you were tryna get close because I roll with Jack.”

“Sunni I literally have had a crush on you since kindergarten. I was invisible to you all this time.” Jennifer said

“For real?!” Sunni exclaimed in disbelief

“Yeah, so wipe that crap off your face and kiss me.” Jennifer said leaning in and they touched lips with Sunni standing far away so as not to mess her up.

“Hey don’t fraternize with the enemy.” Urban said to them while to Phil’s delight his crush Maya was helping to clean him off.

“Ok listen up boys!!” Jack yelled over the chaos “They got us good. Ladies well done.” He said clapping and kicking up flour like dust. “Let’s clean this shit up and go for Indis on me.”

“Y/N baby I need to shower, we all do.” Jack said of him and his friends “open the door I promise I won’t chase you.”

“Ok…you sure?” You said cautiously

“On my mama.” Jack swore

You slowly cracked the door open and saw everything the girls threw at them stuck in his curls, and all over his face and clothes.

“You look amazing. I hear eggs are good for your hair.” You said lovingly. Jack was being such a good sport.

“Why don’t you come give daddy a big hug?” He said and tackled you to the bed before you could run away.

“Jack!!! Fuck off!!” You said laughing now covered in the same mess.

“Oh no, now we both have to shower.” He said with a sly grin. “And don’t ever show my friends your goodies again. I think Shloob almost had to have his eyes surgically put back in his head.

“Even if there’s glitter involved?” You asked

“Especially if there’s glitter involved.” Jack said sternly giving your behind a slap.

so, I’ve had a day to think about what happened, and this is all my thoughts together in one place

first, THAT WAS AMAZING? WAOH!! EVERYONE DID SO GOOD YESTERDAY AND IT WAS AMAZING TO WATCH I WAS IN SHOCK!

Second, the island reset was absolutely unexpected, but it added so much to the story! The whole reset of the island, the federation trying to get rid of everything, and start anew(it might not be the federation, but still) IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA!! It correlates with the beginning of the server, when the run down buildings were still present, but disappeared one day.

SUNNY AND SLIME!!! THEY MET! IT WENT EVEN BETTER THAN I EXPECTED!!! I knew they would be friends, but THE SMALL BITS OF DRAMA THAT WERE SPRINKLED INTO THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS AMAZING!!!!!

Cellbit and Roier’s characters were amazing! Phil and Slime did a great job on the side quest they received, and I need more interactions with those four.

Charlie and Tubbo’s relationship is surprisingly accurate to real parents. Tubbo: “Do you know where sunny is”

Charlie: “I was about to ask you”

Tubbo: “Shit”

I don’t remember much from the end of Charlie’s stream, but I do remember dry sobbing as I clicked onto tubbo’s stream, and then collapsing when I saw him still doing the bit. I know it was a joke, BUT IT ACTUALLY TOOK SOMETHING OUT OF ME THAT I CAN NEVER GET BACK…

The live with Etoile really reminded me how much they know each other.

Pierre and etoiles have known each other for yearsss and that appears in all the conversation they had with each other in the server like when they would reminisce the past, talk about past friends and things they did together ( the fact that etoiles often asks pierre about things in private about minecraft or not) they have a relationship of trust, they know how the other will react because of everything they went through already.

All in all I feel like their friendship is often overlooked which pains me a little because in my own little headcannon world, I saw them as like older figure/prof and in some way student because pierre factually and in qsmp cannon continues to teach etoiles little things here and there about the mods or things like that even though etoiles is very independent and likes to make progress on his own and strives to get better he still always goes back to pierre to discuss or for help, for him to teach him new stuff ( like when etoiles asked pierre to teach him create), they also make each other's gifts like stuff or when pierre gifts farms to etoiles. Etoiles knows he can say anything to pierre, that he can ask him anything, that they are always available for each other and we saw it happens so many times already.

(I see people talking about etoiles link to philza in the way I see his link with pierre when I clearly feel that Etoiles and Phil are simply people that can connect over past experiences and trauma)

Their minds work alike and I know their two characters are very morally neutral and will accept a lot of stuff ( like they already did by the way) coming from the other, we could see their complicity in the prison and I was so excited for people to see them as a "them" but not at all I mostly see people talking about things they did together as if there was only etoiles... so obviously when Etoiles said he was pushing pierre to come on qsmp v2 and said he would give him stuff or when he said he would spend a day with him I foolishly thought that the new viewers will finally see their friendship for what it is.... let me tell you how disheartened I felt when I could not find a tweet or tumbler post talking about them, so yeah, I'm sad bros

( I know that it's probably because people dislike pierre so they just erase his existence when posting but I feel particularly bad when people give all the credit of some ideas to etoiles when it was pierre that gave them to him (it used to happen a while ago a lot not something that recent) don't be a hypocrite, just don't say anything if you're gonna overlook the one he had the idea with please its just disrespectful ( it's not etoiles fault, he always brings up pierre this is mostly addressed at the pierre haters))

I'll say the admins' decision that purgatory 2 is as canon "as the ccs want it to be" is awful and going to cause so many problems.

I think it's perfectly fine to have CCs choose to be out of character for their own lore because then they don't have to commit to rp all the time, but you absolutely cannot do this with the MAIN plot of the story. One of the main reasons is that not everyone will pick and choose what's the same as canon.

A perfect example is just a few days ago, Phil was involved in a main story point of protecting Luffy who escaped. Luffy told Phil that he was looking for Tubbo/Bagi, and of course, because Phil was not informed of anything going on, he told them that they went back to purgatory. Even though Bagi and Tubbo said their purgatory isn't canon. So now imagine Phil is panicking about Luffy not finding the people he's looking for only for tubbo or bagi to show up randomly and confuse the plot even more.

I will say that I don't really care about how the story should be perfectly consistent because I know that's impossible, but it's more about how it's ruining the rp choices of others. Phil did such incredible rp stressing over how everyone left for purgatory again, but for them to show back up without a care or explanation? Undermines all of his emotions and effort into making it feel real.

Another point is how it's effecting the CCs efforts for consistency. Tubbo gets kidnapped IN FRONT OF HIS FRIENDS EYES, but logs in the next day and gets attacked by a code. So now you face the confusion of either believing he was taken and how that effected the characters rp around him, or believe that the code is back as a main story element. You can't believe both because they directly contradict eachother, so you end up wasting a good plot point for another. For example, Fit has canon separation anxiety and seeing tubbo go missing in front of him could have made for good character development.

Baghera was asked to stay off the server for the past few weeks because the admins had lore planned out for her. She expressed that she missed being on and seeing her friends but trusted in the admins that her return would be worth it to wait for. So some characters are allowed back and immediately cause inconsistenties but some people have to wait? It sucks for CCs like Baghera, Slime, and Pol who express how they want to get back on but are committed to their lore. But I also can't entirely blame the people who came back from purg2, even though I do think its a bad rp choice on their part, because the admins specifically told them they could.

Finally, the worst part is how it demeans the story being told. Imagine after purgatory 2 ends all the people coming back could talk about the hell they went through, the people they met, the fate of Cellbit and Baghera. But instead Bad's "1/4" came back and immediately told Pomme he saw Baghera. Isn't that lame? Doesn't that feel like a waste of good exposition? Hell even Foolish was there and just chose to ignore it because, hey, there's no canon reason he should know that!

That's the problem now is that no one knows what to tell eachother anymore, because it will only be inconsistent with what others are saying or doing. The stories is slowly losing its integrity because it's doesn't know what is important to take seriously anymore. Should you worry about the code attacks? I don't know, it happened to someone who wasn't even technically there. Hey I saw this missing person but I'm also supposed to be missing too, so should you even believe me?

It's confusing, it messy, and it will absolutely ruin story lines down the road.

I love the story of the QSMP. It's what drew me into the server and made me love it ever since, and to see it get pushed aside for a competitive event really sucks. With the way the server has been so rp and lore dependent for the last nine months, it just feels so strange for it to not be the focus anymore. Purgatory was fun, Purgatory 2 looks even better, but I would not trade them for the fandom toxicity, story inconsistency, or divided attention on gameplay it created.

I know with time the story will pick up again, people will return, and it'll be well throught out and planned again. I just think it's important to be critical of these decisions now so they don't get repeated in the future. If there ever is a Purgatory 3 or some other event, all I would hope for is that it has a clear and defined plot revelvancy so you don't have to scramble to tie up all the loose ends later.

Honestly though like if you're following Philza you should get used to the fact that since the dawn of him streaming RP people have violently disliked his reaction to any angst beats because like, the cc finds angst rp funny and is also a very giggly guy. And if you're here for drama and tragedy it looks like he's not taking the pain seriously, which is obviously going to be something you don't like seeing. Trust me. We have been here before. I have watched DSMP. There were people saying he didn't take Techno's IRL death seriously enough because he was positive on stream. Like, this is top five things people get mad at cc!phil and his characters for, after "breaks the fourth wall" and "is an imperfect person/parent" and "idk his vibes just grate and I read them as Bad y'know".

I personally think that like the fact that he was repeatedly saying to the eggs that they were gonna get Tubbo back, they'll bring him back with the create wrench cause he cares about create, don't worry it'll all be okay; that was all evidence that the character does care about Tubbo and for heaven's sake, if you want angst, read that as denial and you're fully comfortably in one of the recognized stages of grieving. I was making jokes the day people in my life died, this is also one of the ways people deal with loss. But I also see why that's a POV clash if you wanted a more straightforward depiction of grief and angst? Phil was pretty far from being in tears, which is what some people think was warranted. So like, sure, if you've been watching a specific perspective, Phil's reaction was trivializing. I can see that perspective as well.

It is not fun to see someone calling your POV "vile" and "heartless" and "too selfish to consider other people" and the other delightful stuff that I just saw on a scroll through the tag, but like, that's just POV clash, you gotta let people have their own opinions and block the neg tags and maybe block people who are being really loud. Sincerely, it does nobody any good to go beefing about people being mean about your favourite cubito. Post careful lore exploration on your own blog if you want but doing replies, sending anons, all of that is the way down which A Bad Time lies. Sincerely like, this has happened before, this will happen again, just go listen to good music or something and ignore it.

*grabs you by the shoulders* ok so after wilbur died and fundy was alone and grieving he kept getting picked on for being an orphan by the rest of the server, for example puffy built an obsidian box around his house in new lmanburg and labelled it an orphanage. fundy was already dealing with the loss of his dad + the appearance of a ghost that was supposed to be his dad but didn't remember half of his life, and now he had to deal with this too. so he starts to mine it meanwhile jack manifold is trying to cheer him up, not helped by the fact that ghostbur keeps hanging around despite fundy not wanting him there. Jack tries to get fundy to look on the bright side, he says that the obsidian box around his house could function as protection from tnt, and so, to prove that's bullshit, fundy places a tnt beside the house he spent so long building and blows up a portion of it. Destroys his own work, a part of his home just to prove a point. It's a self destructive act of defiance. Ghostbur and jack both agree that was unnecessary and jack maintains it could protect the house from outside attacks. fundy continues to take the wall down. Ghostbur fixes the hole in fundy's house, but leaves evidence of the explosion. He puts a sight down saying "-CAUTION- Fallen debris". Now, I need you to know how insane I am over the fact that after doomsday, after the entirety of new Lmanburg was decimated, that sign was the only part of fundy's home that remained unbroken. A sign, surrounded by the rubble of a fallen nation, destruction as far as the eye can see, warning of fallen debris. A sign for a self destructive act of defiance. I am going to eat drywall about this

Q! Brazilians Background, Lore and Summary, as I could gather from Day One

Backstory:

Felps is at fault for crashing the boat, he didn't had a license for controlling the ship since he thought it was just like riding a bike

Pac, Mike and Cellbit already have a story together, Pac and Mike have been previously betrayed and saw friends die due to Cellbit's fault

Pac and Mike are a Duo, Do Not Separate

Cellbit and Felps have been friends for ages

Pac and Mike have a backstory when dealing with Herobrine, coming from an old rp series called "Herobrine: The Legend", where they started getting haunted by Herobrine at age 14, managed to banish it around their 17s, and then it came back to haunt them when they were 19, and its still around

Forever had a lover, Brunim, that looks eerily similar to Phil and it's the reason Forever is obsessed with Phil and took such a hit when Phil kept pushing him away

Q!Characters server lore and summary:

Forever has brought weed with him in the boat, and made a deal with Quackity to create a prison, lock up everyone, and get rich with a drug empire

Later, all Brazilians agreed to make a mafia without anyone else knowing

When Richarlyson was adopted, first thing they all did was teach him how to steal quick and then how to kill. That diamond sword of his is crazy

Forever didn't care much for Richarlyson at first, leaving him with the other 4

He went after Philza, finding him with Tallulah, Chayenne, Dapper and BBH. He and Phil fought when Phil offered to help him build a home, when Forever wanted to live with him

Forever then said he didn't want Philza as his sugar daddy anymore, and left their place crying

He then decided he'd build a prison and lock up Phil to force Phil to love him

Forever got tricked by Quackity at first into believing Tallulah was Q's child and that Phil had kidnapped her and vowed to help

Later, when Cellbit went find Forever, Quackity tried to convince him of the same. Cellbit talked to BBH and made a deal to get some itens or else he'd help Quackity get Tallulah, BBH payed him

Quackity and Cellbit fought, Quackity started berating all the eggs, and Cellbit stepped in when Quackity talked about Richas, saying Q only hated the eggs because he had none

Quackity jumped off the wall, and so Cellbit felt guilty and offered 1% of Richas' paternity to Q, who accepted

Meanwhile, Pac, Mike and Felps were almost dying to a LOT of mobs while trying to find a place to settle. Richas was honestly the MVP here bc he defended all 3 of them when they barely had armor and weapons

(Between these two things happening, Forever was trying to find Pac, Mike and Felps)

They regrouped and everyone grumpily accepted Q as one of Richarlyson's dad, they had settles over a couple of mounts and decided they'd build a big house complex on the hillside (A favela)

Suddenly, they saw a white man walking around and Richarlyson had disappeared. Out Of Character, what happened was that the mod Richas' admin was using crashed and he stopped looking like an egg, but Quackity managed to save it lore wise by saying it was Osito Bimbo/Cucurucho that had kidnapped Richas so everyone went with that as well

Richarlyson showed up fine couple mins later

While everyone went out to gather wood and food, Cellbit went with Richas to mine

As they were digging down, Richas fell into a cave, with Cellbit immediately jumping for him and managing to kill some mobs and get Richas out of there

He told Richas to not tell his other dads that they fell into the cave, but else they went down carefully

Cellbit met Felps building, and got him to go down with him and Richarlyson to the cave

This is when Richas died

Cellbit immediately held Felps to make up a lie to make up for their failure. They settled in saying a "Cloaked figure with white eyes, probably a Necromancer, invoked tens of Skeletons that killed them and Richas", hoping to take advantage of Pac and Mike's trauma with Herobrine to be believed

Cellbit's plan worked when Pac immediately asked if it was Herobrine who took Richas' life, but when Q overheard the talk he said it was probably Cucurucho again who killed the egg

After this, things became more chill with Richas. He stayed with Mike building their favela while Pac and Cellbit went down to mine

Here is when the things get a bit more freaky, Pac and Cellbit went all the way down to bedrock and found a weird, man-made cave system, lightened up with torches. It didn't seem like strip mining, since there were literally no holes in the walls that would indicate that an ore was mined out

They kept exploring and ended up lost and had to dig their way up

All the time they joked it was Cucurucho's tunnels and he was going to be upset with them

Meanwhile, Forever got back worried for Richas' death, and so he stuck around to help protect him

Felps, Mike and Forever made a farm, and also a bed for Richarlyson, plus Mike had made a canvas and painted Richas a nice painting of him :)

Someone trapped a chest they had next to the farm, someone they just saw a glimpse of, and when Felps opened the chest, it exploded and killed him

Time passed and soon BBH came by to see how they were, he then noticed Osito Bimbo watching them and Forever and Cellbit chased him down, since he started running. Cellbit got distracted by BBH calling him and Forever kept chasing

BBH warned that Richas was too vulnerable by sleeping in the living room since people could just kill him when they weren't looking

So, naturally, they build a secret room behind a wall and locked Richarlyson in there with stone since they had no means to build a fancy door

Cellbit then talked to BBH in private, since BBH had similar characteristics as the Necromancer Cellbit had made up (white eyes, cloak) and asked BBH to pretend to be the Necromancer to help him out

BBH agreed

They finally managed to build a security door, locking Richarlyson in there (it's NOT a captivity room) and then covering the door with a painting

They all logged out after that

Richarlyson got his life back since it was his first day

Wilbur's whole character he was building before the tour involved him being someone who didn't put down roots being drawn into things solely because of his commitment to this little person who needed him. He says, at the beginning and every time he frets about how he has to go away, that he didn't plan on caring about anyone on the island because he wouldn't be able to stay long. Now the main connection he has to anything begins and ends with that kid.

He wouldn't get involved in server politics because, from the streams we saw before tour, his whole thing is not realizing how dangerous the island is. He wants this idyllic cottage-core vibe of the traveling musician who tucks away his most prized possession somewhere with flowers and friendly animals and visitors that would never mean her harm.

Like, the letters we even get back are him just presuming Tallulah's alive, speaking to her as if she's alive even if he can't know for sure, because he can't imagine a reality where the world is cruel enough to harm her.

This is not someone who is going to jump into anything that could involve assassinations and conflict.

This is not a man built for politics because that would mean him having a very harsh realization that he can't separate the world he thinks he's hidden Tallulah away in from the island as it actually exists.

He's said and implied time and time again, to Quackity and Phil and Charlie, that he genuinely doesn't care about what happens to most of those people as long as Tallulah is left out of it.

That would not make for a very solid campaign.

So the only way he'd be involved, I think, would be to throw support behind whoever is able to convince him that they have some way of protecting Tallulah or making her happy when he's away that no one else has.

Thank you all so much for the love you have shown for this. Jamie has easily become one of my favorite TV characters of all time and I think Phil is a phenomenal actor. I still have some more ideas for this before I wrap up this storyline, so stay tuned.

Y/N had been laying in bed almost the whole day watching sappy rom coms, trying to make herself feel even just a bit better, but nothing was working. All she wanted was Jamie here to hold her and make her feel better, and she feared those days were long gone. She knew Jamie loved her but this was something bigger than both of them ever had anticipated. 

Suddenly her vision of the future changed, Jamie would stay with her, he would give up football, he would marry her, and he would be miserable. Thinking he had to do the honorable thing, he would sacrifice everything for her. 

“Oh no,” She said as she quickly sat up. “No, no, no.” 

Y/N knew she couldn’t let that happen, Jamie couldn’t change his whole life just for her, she wouldn’t let him. She knew that if Jamie wasn’t going to leave that she had to be the one to go, to let him off the hook and let him live his life. 

With that thought she sprung out of bed and began to pack. 

“Baby!” She heard a voice call. 

“Fuck,” She said under her breath as she began to close up her suitcase. 

“Y/N are you here!” Jamie called again.

In her panic she didn’t even hear the door to the bedroom open. 

“What are you doin’” Jamie asked his voice sounding broken. 

Y/N sucked in her breath trying to compose herself before she turned to look at Jamie. But when she saw him standing in the doorway a gigantic bouquet of rose lilies, her favorite flowers she shattered.

“Oh Jamie,” She broke down crying as she sat on the edge of the bed. 

“Hey, hey.” Jamie said quickly rushing to her side. He set down the flowers on the bedside table before he knelt down in front of her taking her face in his hands 

“Those are beautiful,” She groaned in between her sobs. 

“I know they are your favorite, and I needed to do some major groveling.” 

“You don’t have to do anything Jamie, I…” She tried to compose herself but whether it be the situation or the hormones that were causing havoc she couldn’t get her emotions under control. 

“Were you plannin’ on going somewhere?” He asked his worried eyes darting to the suitcase. 

“I can’t do this to you Jamie.” She hiccuped. 

“Do what baby?” 

“Ruin your life.” Y/N responded as she reached up and took his hands in hers. “You don’t want this baby, I get it. But I don’t think  I want to get rid of it. There is a part of me that has always wanted to be a mom but I… I don’t want to lose you. But I can’t be selfish with you, you have worked too hard and too long to just give everything up.” 

“Who said I would have to give it up? Look at Zava, he has kids and he is still one of the best players out there.” 

“Yeah but Jamie, he let his kids name themselves, I don’t really think being a parent is high on his priority list.” 

“Ya, you’re right.” 

“So I’m going to go, I’m going to let you off the hook. If you want down the line to be in this baby’s life wonderful, but I’m not expecting anything from you.” Y/N said and she started to let go of his hands. However Jamie just held on tighter. 

“Wait a minute, Y/N I want to be in your life, and I want…” He took a deep breath. “I want this baby. I know that how I handled the news was bad. And I am so sorry, I was just… I was terrified. I was so scared that I would be a fuck up just like my dad.” 

“Honey, you are nothing like him.” Y/N said as she reached up and ran her fingers through his hair. 

“I just didn’t think I could risk it. And I didn’t want to make your life miserable either, hell I know I’m not always the most easy to get along with, and I didn’t want a kid to make it worse.” He continued. “But I had a good talk with Ted and I want this. I want this life with you.” 

“But what about your career Jamie?” 

“I don’t think anything has to change. Ya things are going to be different around here and ya things are going to get a bit challenging, but what today showed me is that we have so many people in our lives that care about us. They are going to be there for us every step of the way.”

“Roy is weirdly good with kids.” Y/N smirked. 

“Exactly, so I think we are going to be just fine.” He smiled widely as he pulled her in for a long kiss. “Now if you would let me I would like to redo my initial reaction to you telling me you’re pregnant.” 

Y/N laughed as Jamie wiped her tears away. 

“Are you serious?” 

“Yes, now.” Suddenly he stood up and ran towards the bedroom door. “Pretend you just found out and I have just come home. Ok action.” He said as he walked out into the hallway and shut the door. 

Y/N couldn’t help but giggle. 

“Honey I’m home!” Jamie called as he flung open the door. 

“Jamie, darling light of my life, I have the most wonderful news.” 

“And what is that Y/N my peach.” He replied putting on his best posh accent. 

“We are going to have a baby.” 

Suddenly Jamie’s dynamic changed as he wrapped his arms around her. “I love you, and I love this baby.” He whispered. They stayed like that for a moment with Jamie’s face buried in Y/N’s hair as he held onto her tightly, before he picked her up in his arms and spun her around. 

“Is it too early to start thinking of baby names?” He asked. 

“If it’s a boy I’m think about naming him Roy.” Y/N teased. 

“Absolutely not, we are not naming my son after that grandpa.” Jamie laughed as he laid down on the bed positioning Y/N on top of him, his arms still wrapped tightly around her. “Speaking of Roy, you may need to call him and tell him everything is ok, I think he is planning my murder.” 

Y/N laughed as she looked up at Jamie, resting her chin on his chest. “I love you Jamie, so much.” She beamed. “You are going to make such a great dad.” 

Jamie’s eyes filled up with tears as he leaned down and kissed her again. When they broke apart Y/N snuggled back into Jamie’s embrace. Jamie placed a kiss on the top of her forehead. “Ya if Roy doesn’t murder me first.” He whispered and Y/N let out a loud laugh.

I went back to watch the moment about Bad bringing up purgatory and really it’s just that everyone is confused and Bad needs to explicitly say if he is canonically on or off the island without some weird loop hole that gives him both lores on the both islands for one character to know.

Now the mini events aren’t always like a lore canon thing but the eggs are in lore majority of the time. This is cause the eggs are lore/rp characters the same way Cucurucho is and the only way they aren’t is when they explicitly say it or the cc says that the info they’re saying is out of rp.

But this is what happened -

Bad brought up first that he saw Tubbo that day to sunny who had been with Fit the entire day. Then Richarylson questioned him saying “Aren’t you meant to not be spiritually projecting rn” and he said “I don’t know what you’re talking about” which is just as confusing as what Richas said to him.

Then the others asked a general question just saying how was it and if he was winning not anything about any of the lore aspects. He then later brought up the quesadilla lore stuff with Phil despite it not really being the time or place, as well as him not supposedly being there to the other characters (specifically Fit and Phil think he’s kidnapped because he hasn’t clarified and they honestly act like they can’t be bothered asking anymore about it which not gonna blame them on) who all think that he is kidnapped because Bad has evaded the question and not given them an explicit answer.

So the eggs, current quesadilla islanders and the viewers are very confused.

Cause none of it make sense and Bad’s “1/3 is in purgatory”(which is the spiritually projecting thing richas is eluding to) is a struggle rp wise too because how is he meant to participate in lore or rp when he’s giving so many mixed signals if he is or isn’t canonically on the island.

Like he’s telling the eggs about their parents when they’re always meant to be in lore, then telling the other islanders that he’s on vacation which implies he’s not doing lore. So then it looks like meta gaming (because the eggs are just being told info randomly without knowing they’re getting told ie like a twitch chat that a streamer reads except eggs can’t really ignore it) from the pov of someone who has no clue if it’s in rp or not especially when it’s told to the eggs who are in rp 24/7. But then even the eggs don’t know if he’s actually there or not so they have to come up with a rp opinion about it and now think he’s lying about their parents because they aren’t meant to know about it really.

Along with this how come he can only just now separate himself in parts like this(yes things are secret but that raises the question how come he didn’t preemptively do this in purgatory 1), how is he getting the info back and forward from each “part” of him, how is it even a different part/version of him if he’s still in the same dimension(cause travelling back and forward from the island defeats the whole purpose of purgatory 1 and he isn’t a slime so how would he be able to make a clones/another version) and then why is he even telling the kids that information when they are separated from their parents which is just going to make them sad(but it is giving the eggs a rp struggle because not all of them are going to know if they are meant to know that info or not).

But really the real question is why does bad have to be involved in both lores and knowing everything. It’s not as if the others are going to keep everything from him and not tell him. Like when has anyone not ever told people about lore that affects everyone, he will be told everything all he has to do is ask. By the time he’s back the photo if the eyed workers will probably still be up as well all he has to do is ask them about it and they’ll give him an answer.

alright, finally put my thoughts together after watching like 6 povs on and off and processing what we saw today. i have two major points to make, and i guess i'll just start with the meta one.

on a meta level, the eggs are fine. narratively, to just grab them from their beds and "oops goodbye" is a level of lazy, awful storytelling that we just… don't get from the qsmp lore gods. who wants to watch these kids grow up and then one day they're all missing, the end? nah. also, i am fully convinced that they wouldn't do it without giving their regular players a chance to show up, and with phil, baghera, and etoiles gone i don't think they'd ever do that. plus vegetta would kill quackity lmao the eggs play a pivotal role in the qsmp, quackity's said so before, and i'm honestly still half convinced the new players will get eggs… maybe after the original ones hatch. either way, on a meta and / storytelling level it doesn't make sense, and my mind's not changing until something big happens.

now, on a more "in character" perspective? today felt like two distinct moments in qsmp history rolled into one, and it makes my stomach churn. i was watching bad's live when the code killed ramon, and all povs were dripping with that heartbroken but hopeful but empty feeling, the exact same one i had when i watched bad sit silently by ramon's dead body for hours, throwing totems at him. it also reminded me of the day we had to wait for a verdict on bobby's final death, how we were all so sure that he'd survive only to be hit with the news that no, no he didn't. no, bobby was gone. for good.

what the qsmp admins and ccs accomplished today was amazing, because my feelings right now? definitely don't match what i logically know as fact. i know the eggs have to be okay, but i thought that before and look what happened. the emotions, the dejection, the stillness, the silence of the server today is jarring and awful, and it makes me second guess myself at every turn. it takes a lot for media to be able to be so visceral and raw, but today it was.

today, we had a front row seat to grief, in all it's shapes and forms, and of the silence that children leave behind when they're no longer with us, and i won't ever forget the streams i watched tonight.

you reblogged that old ask about pissa ever going anywhere with their relationships and i've had some thoughts about this topic and it's probably gonna become a little bit of a rant so no pressure answering or even reading it's your askbox of course. so firsts things first jusr as you said the the answer to that task missa would definitely have to be more present on the server for this to not fall flat and feel very surface level. that being said the ender king stuff that's been going on with phil could potentially be a catalyst for things to move forward but personally i don't know if i like this idea 100%. while it is crucial to phil's character because well it's his lore! i presonally wouldn't like missa to become just an extension to him and a plot device for his story. i'd love missa to have more developement on his own or with other people first because as you said yourself a lot of the times when he's on the server him and phil barely leave each other's side.

the thing with phil ignoring missa's feelings in a way is that it could be easily attributed to him being a repressed old bird, which well, he totally is. and the threat of the ender king constantly looming over him and his loved ones definitely doesn't help with opening up to people these days. but that's where a lot of developement could happen for him and he's already been talking more to his eggs so hopefully he can exchange that trust and honesty to missa soon. and if it takes the ender king to do it then so be it i have more faith in missa being open about things on his own accord than this guy.

honestly i think i saw a post similar to what i'm going to say but i really hope the prison kiss will push some unspoken boundary between them that makes them perhaps question some things or move forward. i'm personally any type of pissa enjoyer but i just hope they can confront each other at some point and talk about how they feel. there's a lot of potential for a very sweet story here it would be a shame if nothing ever happened with it. i know it's probably wishful thinking but hey i can dream.

also we don't really know how the server is going to look and to what extent it's going to be reset but it could be a good chance for them to hang out more if let's say some bases get yeeted or they need to gather resources. or even if the bases are untouched it feels like a good moment for less active members to join since there's been a little bit of pause. what i'm saying is missa please log on more it's really crucial to this.

i do agree that Missa should get to write his own lore whether it coincides with Phil's or not, he doesn't seem to be into scripting interactions with the others he's more likely to just start playing a bit and then bouncing off that for his cubito's story (spreen's betrayal and him leaving roier's house for it, kidnapping by wolves, being in love with phil, fortnite cheese putting him in prison) overall there's no evidence missa's gonna be involved in the ender king plot in canon unless he and Phil have talked about it

definitely think having a lot of new untouched space could take most of the pressure out of just walking around and seeing everything expand so quickly and being worried about building somewhere someone might have already claimed or on someone else's grounds

canon romantic pissa is still up in the air but ccphil and missa are most definitely aware that they're playing into a traditional romantic love story, theyre gonna have to decide if it'd be better or funnier to keep pivoting around the subject and drive everyone on the island insane or to get the ball FUCKING rolling

I'm going to Have Faith that he will log on more. I'm going to Hope and Pray. Calacaland will prevail
