@ so2uv's sappy time.
end of the year. ive survived and that's scary but you know what? it'll be fine. we'll all be fine and im promising that; whether it be this year, the next, or far in the future, we'll be ok :)) it's stupid how this platform, one that my friends teased me for using, left such an impact on me as a person.
AKA. MY END OF YEAR MUTUAL APPRECIATION POST. (warning: these got long and sort emotional for me to write. well, as emotional as i can get fjkdhgkjfd. sorry if my coherence gets lost later on. forgive me if you weren't mentioned specifically for something; i have more mutuals that expected. it's genuinely surprising.)
if you weren't mentioned specifically, there's still a note for you at the bottom. sorry for making you scroll for long to find it :'DD
Tumblr media
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @tiredsleep . . . the mutual who has stuck through it all. oh tired. tired, tired, tired. i think im a little stupid for how happy i get when you like a post or send an ask or keyboard smash in my reblogs. a lot of what i said in my long ask to you a while back is what im trying to convey now. the way we met wasn't through much special; i followed you and eventually you followed back. it was slow going in the ways we interacted but the nicest things take time and im so glad we're the way we are now. we're strangers, two little guys on the internet, and i think it's beautiful how we have this. you're an amazing writer, an all around amazing creator of the worlds you build and the characters you create. i don't think you realized how envious i used to be of you; you made it seem like it was easy enough for you to connect with others, your writing was something id never achieve with mine, it was flat out jealousy. it was my fault we were distant to begin with. i soon figured out that praise was correct: you are among the most wonderful people ive had the pleasure of knowing and talking to you, even if it's just through a screen. there's so much more for me to say that i constantly struggle to put into the correct words to get the point across. just know that you have great things out there for you. have a great new year, tired. we'll make it. im so proud of you.
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @aelatus . . . the last standing mutual of all my og (close) mutuals. hello atlas! im not sure if you'll ever see this on tumblr since i know you don't log on much but you've been my mutual through three blog changes now; was there for my xstar-kidx era and kozmiixs stage. we've been through shit together, had banter about grammarly together, lost certain mutuals together, have changed blogs, changed themes, switched fandoms, fell out of love with fandoms. it's been a wild couple of years, huh? im so thankful we've met and got close in the ways that we did and that we're able to call each others close. your birthday is soon so in the case that i forget to say this on discord: happy birthday, the xiao to my albedo. live a life of freedom and joy, my love /p.
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @izukxnnie . . . hara :((( i don't think you'll ever come to read this message but that's alright; maybe it's for the better kdfgh. i know i sent you that long winded ask on your blog already but i miss talking and interacting with you, even with all my awkwardness. im still so regretful of that one time i sent a request to join your world but then you were busy and i didn't read your messages until later that day as in hours later bc i was at school and idk if i ever responded to them in the end. maybe i'll send you a message on discord later. maybe i won't bc i'll be too sentimental. i really hope you're doing more than well, that you're happy doing what you do.
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @ay-asterisms . . . the mutual who introduced me to so many others. i really have you to thank for what i have now, ay. truly. you brought me deeper into the hq fandom and introduced me to jennie, atlas, and others. we don't talk much but i'll say what ive mentioned before, you remind me so much of the sun. but not as the bringer of life and the ball we see every morning; a sun in the sense that you're a star closer to earth but still a star, still out there where there are multiple. the difference is that you just happen to bring a warmth that others can't provide for ones nearby.
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @cryo-locket / @lo-cinno . . . you. im not even sure how we became mutuals, and my memory is pretty good. we just spawned in each other's zones one day and went yeah, alright. honestly, ive never said this to anyone, but you were one of the reasons i decided to focus more heavily on chinese. our interactions reminded me of why i wanted to relearn the language for myself: for the social connections. i genuinely love talking to you and always find myself laughing at our conversations. mainly because our timezone dif is so odd so it's always late in the evening when im on. your ebg was so fun and with all the pain it brought / hj, im so happy to have been part of it. thank you for putting up with my 2 am rambles and crack, hope you found laugh or two with them.
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @pr3tty-jennie . . . you intimidated me when we first met. i still remember it actually: you had that kamninari theme and the most recent post on your blog was about how you couldn't remember the word for chandelier in english but knew it in french. you've been through so much, endured so much, and i respect you so much. always have, always will. your life story and the past don't define who you show as a person and im so amazed by that part of you. have a good day, good week, good rest of your life pretty girl :DD
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @june-again . . . it's crazy, you know? crazy how far we've both drifted off from the original fandom that brought us together? but that's character development. speaking of that, ive gotten the absolute pleasure of seeing you grow as a person and go through the motions of life. it's always chill talking to you, jokes come easy hah! you're an amazing musician, june. amazing person, amazing at writing, amazing at music; you're outstanding so in the words of Freddy fazbear from security break, way to go superstar! i knew you could do it and i know you still can.
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @junjiie . . . the seungmin to my minho, the other half of 2min, the self proclaimed jeno to my renjun (have yet to be a dreamzen my b :(() and the no. 1 solieber. i was serious when i said you're the reason my other blog exists; you've been the biggest hype person when it came down to me going out of my comfort zone and writing. i was so nervous going up to talk to you at first kjfdhgkj but now, you're just another silly guy in my phone screen :DD thank you for sending all your updates about life and putting up with mine even though they never get answered- seungmin to not only my minho, but hyunjin too, let's keep being #Silly, yeah?? it's already the actual new years day when you're receiving this so i hope the year is off to a good start.
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @sohyuki . . . MINT im hoarding the ask that you sent me on christmas day. im always so happy when you've shown up on dash and while im sad about how you've let tumblr mainly behind, i know it's for the better since well, interactions have been shit and probably will never get back up to the standard we held them to, even with all the effort put in. you are such an amazing all around person and like i said in my christmas note to you, keep writing. hoard it, feed into it, you have something wonderful going on with it.
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @kamiyatos . . . user kamiyatos!!! lee!!! HELLO!!! it's always such a pleasure to talk to you and i hope you know that i keep your ramble about malleus' character and your plot idea for him in the back of my mind constantly, even though that ask has been lost to my actions of deactivation on my old blog. you're the biggest ayato fan i know who supports my works about him vocally AND you understand my vision on his personality... it's truly touching, y'know? thank you for being there, even when we don't talk as much as we should. i hope this year has been kind on you and the next one is even kinder.
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @yinyinggie . . . yingyingyingyingerkjshkjfdg ok this may come as a shock, or maybe you already knew and were just playing along, but we used to be mutuals before the summer of last year. secret identity revealed ig?? eh im sure if you dig far enough into my dark past™️ you'll find smth about it so im not going to say anything about it :P but! one thing has stayed the same for sure: you are so easy and so fun to talk to and make conversation with. you know that ramble i left on the astro twerk form about feedback for the server? yeah. im 100% truthful. you've made something so inclusive and positive, have done to much to get tumblr active, please know that your efforts aren't wasted. im sure they feel like it at times but i appreciate it so much. and im sure others have the same sentiment.
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @mhiieee . . . MHIEEEEEEEE MY SCARA FAN !!!! i love and adore your works so much and not to mention your characterization of scaramouche is top tier. ive got a lot to learn from you, mhie; i don't think you realize how much there is to admire when it comes to you as a person. you find such meaning and connection in the words and the world, the sincerity that comes with it,,,,, it makes me want to sob and roll around while also simultaneously wanting to take your brain apart neuron by neuron and psychoanalyze you. not in the freudian way though. ive had the greatest honor of being able to interact with you on not just one, but two!!! servers!!! i think it's a little silly how much i smile when you reply to smth dumb ive said on disc. have a great new year :))
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @ryuryuryuyurboat . . . RYUUUUUU literally the most stunning person to walk the planet ever like. hello??? our first interactions came from that ebg funny enough. does a little ★🪽 anon ring a bell? i only ever got around to sending you one sabo during that time but i hope you did enjoy what i came up with on the spot, i never was very good when it came down to kaeya's character. you are so intelligent and such an amazing individual, please always remember that.
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @snobwaffles / @2nobwaffles . . . SNOB SNOB SNOB i always think of the pokemon when your name comes up. in my head, you will always be snom, the bug-ice type pokemon <33 IT'S SO FUN TALKING TO YOU and we haven't been mutuals for long either. im always thinking of the advice you left me when it came down to my rant about an irls party and there's something about the way you're able to appreciate and take note and find beauty int he smallest of things that get brought up. i wish you the complete best that 2024 has to off you. keep calm and snob on :DD
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @itaerae & @mins-fins . . . im putting the two of you together because well, i met you both at the same time through the server. while i can't consider it and, ive never really had such an inviting time in a server, much less a network, as ive had in zumblr. really, it's you two that i owe thanks to. our silly little convos are so fun and im forever thankful that ive found people to talk to on a server for once.
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @https-furina . . . the best server mother fr!!! omg it's so nice talking to you :((( i love the warmth of your words and how your emotions shine through text. it feels like i can practically envision the fond eyeball or the warm smile that you may or may not have on your face when messaging. i’ve had such a great time in the network and your pet names fjfbdjdbjdb have a great 2024 heh :DD
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @lethwal & @astrinityy . . . i don't think you guys realize how fun it was when we were all "debating" and accusing me of being a furry. honestly, i haven't had to stifle laughter like that in the middle of the night as hard as i did for a small while. not too long but long enough. it was a breath of fresh air and it was genuinely amazing to just be able to put the present on the back burner and play around like that. even though it was kind of late for me when that was happening- ignore that. it's always late for me when im online atp. i hope we can get past those baseless accusations you have both placed on me tehe. have a happy new years, you two. ALSO YIXIN!! GA-MING PROTECTION SQUAD RISEEEEE
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @/zumblr . . . there's so many of you and i can't find the proper words to express the welcome i felt when added to the server. it was nerve wracking, ive never really gotten around to talking to that many people or being that open on the internet before. it's funny how one summer can bring you out of your shell a little, eh? and all bc of some guys on screen lmao. thank you for the support and im happy to have met such wonderful people. thank you, again. @urielphix I AM. DETERMINED TO READ ADAD JUST YOU WAIT
𖣂 ┈ ⟡ ˒ @ everyone else, all my mutuals as of now and past, who weren't mentioned or mutuals who want to read something again . . . hello!! im sorry to disappoint by not adding you properly and for not giving a personalized thanks; it wasn't anything against it you at all. reason 1) i probably forgot as um. goldfish brain or 2) we just became mutuals pretty recently and haven't had the chance to really talk much / have been sort of long term but haven't talked much.
either way though, thanks for sticking around! im not the most. literate person. sometimes LMAO and im far from being a proud person of skill when it comes to the right words to say to people but im always happy when people find something worth it in my silly words. i hope we get to interact more in the future, as long as you can put up with my inconsistent (to say the least) replies and brain boggling posts that come from the depths of the midnight zone, that is. get ready for the ride that is this. clusterfuck of a blog place. LMAO,,,, if you haven't already scrolled through my stuff. if you have then um ready for more??? fkdjhgkjlghf
if you've made it to the end, thank you. and why?? im not that interesting or cool as everyone makes me out to be. if you had told 2019 me on tumblr that 4 years later, id be posting my works for everyone to see and also be proud of my own poetry, i would have laughed and called you absolutely insane. some of you have sat through me going through different gender and pronoun crises on dash back in 2020, and some of you ive only met this month.
whatever our situation is, i wish all the best for everyone . i’ll support you guys until the end of the earth and then some. have the happiest of happy new years, may your futures always be brighter than you say they are, and i’ll see you later 💛
sincerely — sol / jun

Or so You Believed
A/n- sorry I’ve been gone! I’m trying to get requests done but I’ve been going through quite the writers block! I’ll get those requests out as soon as I can, I promise! For now please enjoy some Kuroo Angst
A/n- Ahahahahahahaha I feel like garbage and I can’t write. I put this through grammarly and it said I had bland writing and that made me sad? Anyway, I’ll try and get to finishing requests but I’m going through a bit of an episode rn :( I really do hope you guys enjoy this though, and I’m sorry if this is bad :(
A/n- I went through and fixed a few spelling and grammar mistakes! This story should now be entirely gender neutral! If you fin any mistakes pleaseeeeee let me know!
Pairing Kuroo/Gender Neutral! Reader
Summary- A summer fling had led to more than either one of them had bargained for.
Warnings- Mentions and slight portrayal of nsfw things, yelling, breakdowns, Angst, breaking up, crying, just very sad in general :(
Tumblr media
At that moment it had all felt right. His lips were gentle against their skin, fitting perfectly on theirs. His scent had stained their sheets, and the taste of his lips constantly lingered on their lips. It had felt right, being tangled in a disarray of sheets and pillows, hands and lips roaming yet never straying too far. At that moment they were gone, wrapped away in a blissful dance of warm comfort and empty words. Kuroo could feel their hands leaving a trail as they drew maps on his skin, he could taste the desperation on their lips, and for moments he wondered if they could taste his desperation as well.
A little fling was all it was. Constant text messages and calls, flirtatious joking, it was perfect. So where had they gone wrong? One way or another they began to spiral, separate pieces of the same thread unraveling to reveal frayed edges and tips; they were never a whole thread, always separate strings. Some days it was his fault, other days it was their fault. Official, it was all they had wanted. They wanted him to hold them close, play with their hair, and stroke their arms. Intimacy is what they craved, sought out in any form he was able to offer.
Long nights were spent in bed together, frayed threads tangled in desperate attempts to pass through the eye of the needle as one. They had hoped that his warm touch would fix it all, hoped that the words he mumbled in their ear as their bodies messily embroidered, were truth and not false nets of lies to catch onto as they fell.
Tonight was different. Hands and lips wandered but never strayed, and not for Kuroo’s sake, but their sake. Kuroo knew, even though they never talked about it, even though their lips were sealed, Kuroo could still see the haze that fogged their eyes. Their last relationship had pulled a plug on their certain spark, left them empty, and Kuroo could see it. As they looked for ways to fill an empty shell, they had stumbled upon Kuroo. Kuroo and his cocky charm, Kuroo and his purring voice, Kuroo and his stable arms. Kuroo provided safety, security, touch, emotion, something that was previously unavailable in their last relationship. So maybe that’s why they thought they loved him.
Tonight, it was different. There was an unusual intensity behind every kiss and nibble, an unexpected spark in every touch. Their eyes were fogged, clouded, and misty, Kuroo knew that something was different. So he stopped their hands, gently pushed them away, and stared at them with pitiful eyes. It was obvious what they wanted. They wanted Kuroo to have every inch of them, take them, and fill the void that was left behind.
“Why’d you stop?” Y/n stared up at Kuroo, a certain pain in their eyes. Were they not good enough for him?
“Y/n, you’re not in a good state of mind for this.” His voice was calm, gentle, and stable, but they didn’t like the look in his eyes, the look of pity and worry.
“Kuroo, I’m fine. I’m ready, okay? I want my first time to be with you. Kuroo I... I love you.” their voice was soft, shaking, and unstable. They were breaking, and Kuroo knew they were. Yet still, he flinched, stopping to hold one of their hands.
“No. You don’t love me, okay? You-you think you do, but you don’t. You know what you feel, and you know it’s not for me, I know that you know this isn’t right.” Kuroo explained gently, squeezing their hand just a bit. Y/n aggressively pulled away from Kuroo, holding their hand to their chest and staring at him with frayed e/c eyes.
“Who are you to tell me what I feel? I love you Kuroo, okay? I l-” Y/n flinched, practically jumping back as Kuroo abruptly stood up, towering over them.
“Stop saying that! You only think you love me because you don’t know what love is! All you’ve ever felt is toxicity, guys who use you and toss you to the side. Guys who want you to be emotionally available at all times but won’t even talk to you! Y/n, you don’t know what it is!” Kuroo’s voice was faltering. It was unstable and his eyes were beginning to fill with tears.
“You know what I feel when I’m with you? I feel warm, okay? And-and I feel safe! I feel like I’m gonna be okay and that anytime I fall you’ll be there to catch me!” Y/n screamed at Kuroo, tears endlessly flowing down their face. Kuroo stared at them in disbelief. Maybe Kuroo did love them, but he knew that they still hadn't got over their past relationship. Kuroo could see the fog in their eyes anytime they spoke about it, he noticed the way they tensed up anytime they would see him in the halls, he could hear them mumble their name as they slept.
He stayed quiet for some time, staring down at the sobbing figure before him. They didn’t know love yet. Kuroo looked the other way, his lip caught between his teeth. He did love them, but he wasn’t ready. Kuroo wasn’t ready to commit yet. He would only bring them more heartache, and he cared for them too much to hurt them.
“I-” Kuroo could feel the air catch in his chest. His eyes were wide and his hands were shaking. He hated it, but for them to know what love really is, they would have to experience true pain.
“I don’t love you, okay?” Kuroo looked the other as he spoke, glaring at the bunny plushie thrown into the corner of their room. He could hear the air catch in their throat, could hear the pain as it rattled their rib-cage with each shaky breath they took. It made Kuroo ache, made him shake with a burn he had never felt before.
“You don’t mean that...” Their voice was shaking, body trembling with despair as they clumsily stood up, hands desperately reaching for Kuroo’s. As soon as he felt their hand brush against his he snatched it away.
“Kuroo, please, please stop...” Every word they spoke was interlaced with breath hitches and stumbles. Their heart was racing and their world felt light. What were they feeling? Why were they feeling this?
“Kuroo, answer me! Please...” They screamed at first, the hysteria obvious in there voice, but as they spoke, their voice collapsed becoming nothing more than a soft whisper. He had to be lying, they thought to themselves, hands trembling as they clasped them atop their chest.
“I mean it okay. I don’t love you. I never did.” Y/n stared at him with horror, mouth agape as they watched him walk out of their bedroom. As soon as he closed the door, they crumbled. The last pieces of thread that had kept them together were finally frayed, violently detaching themselves from one another for good.
Tears trailed down his face as he walked home, hands shoved in his pockets while his eyes focused on his shoes. Maybe he did love them. Maybe for a split-second, the threads had all twisted perfectly, maybe for a second, they had passed through the eye. Maybe, but it was better this way. Y/n deserved better, deserved someone who wouldn’t be afraid to truly love them, someone who would be willing to improve for them. That someone was not him. Or so he believed.

Note
I’m sorry for being so mean. I had a really bad day and didn’t mean to say such awful things. But I am frustrated my fics always get ignored, especially by the big names in the fandom such as yourself that claim to support everyone. I’ve written so many fics in this fandom and have been doing so for over a year, yet I only have 30 subscribers. I get really frustrated and feel like I’m a bad writer because everyone ignores me and my fics. I shouldn’t have taken it out on you. I’m sorry.
(2/2) For a fan community that claims they are inclusive, everyone sure doesn’t act that way. Everyone already has their friends and people like me who don’t have many friends get ignored. The big names in the fandom don’t support or read the fics by the new people. It’s not just me. I’ve never received a single kudo or comment from you or anyone else that’s popular like you. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but people don’t read my fics.
Ok, I’m answering this in the middle of the night in the hopes that not a lot of people will see it so it won’t become A Thing and then as soon as this fic exchange is over I am turning my anons off forever. Anon, I guess I have to give you credit for coming to apologize, but I have to say, where before I was perfectly capable of laughing off your extremely rude message, I have to say, now I’m annoyed. Because there is not a single instance or bad day or frustration that makes what you said acceptable. You came into my inbox and threw a temper tantrum because you knew my name and I happen to have anons on unlike most of the “fandom big names.” You told me I had the worst fics in the fandom, told me I publish outlines instead of stories and accused me of writing incestual pedophilia because you had a bad day? I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you’re young because that is the only possible excuse I could give you. As I said in my original response, if I were already an anxious writer, you could have caused me to delete all of my fics and put me off of writing forever. Someone commented on your original message and said that they don’t post their writing because of messages like that one. You’re right you shouldn’t have taken it out on me, and you wouldn’t have if your name had been associated with it. But here we are, and I’m going to try to make it so this never happens again, at least with the two of us.
Now, onward to your frustrations. I am sorry that you aren’t getting the attention you want, but one) yelling at me on anon isn’t going to fix that. Two) not to be like callous and insensitive, but that happens to almost every writer I know. I’ve been writing fanfiction for 12 years. This is the seventh fandom I’ve written for and no one ever read my fics before this. My first year on AO3 I published six stories and had 500 views total. I get the frustration, but sometimes you just have to get the perfect combination of exposure, plot, and interest. Three) Do you have any idea how many stories get published in the Peter Parker & Tony Stark tag a day? I’m sorry, I can’t read all of them. I don’t want to read all of them, in fact I have 14 different tags blacklisted. Just because I am a “big name” does not mean I owe you a comment or a kudos. If I like your story, I will tell you. Chances are, I haven’t even seen one of your stories, because I’m an adult with a job and hobbies and writing of my own to do. Most of the “big names” are the exact same except a lot of them also have school. If you want someone to read your stories, ask them. Say “hey, I respect you and your opinion, could you look at this for me?” They will probably say yes unless they have a good reason not to. Don’t just sit there and wait for it to happen and get mad when it doesn’t. Also, this is the third time someone has yelled at me for not reading or commenting on their fics and it makes me less inclined to leave kudos in general in case someone comes and gets mad that I read their fic but didn’t comment. So uh… don’t do this again.
As for the community, do you want to know how to make friends? Send asks (nice ones) not on anon. We can’t interact with you if you don’t know who you are. Reblog our fics. Comment on our posts. You can’t make friends if no one knows you exist. And the only way to show you exist is show yourself in our notes, in our inboxes. Sitting in your corner of tumblr and being bitter isn’t going to help anyone. This fandom is welcoming and it is kind and it is supportive. You saw how many people came to my defense tonight. If you talk to those people, they’ll talk back, but they can’t reach out to every single Irondad blog, it just isn’t feasible.
And finally, how to get your fics read more. Like I said, part of it is just… luck. I got in at the very beginning, as did losingmymindtonight, parkrstark, several others, and had already established myself before IW came out and the fandom got bigger. Lucky break on my part, but I’m also a good writer because I’m 25 and I have a Master’s in a writing heavy field and I’ve been writing my entire life. Sometimes it just takes practice. But there is stuff that all good fics have in common, so here we go:
1) Good grammar, good spelling, good punctuation.
I don’t know who you are so I have no idea what your writing is like, but this is stuff I had to tell college students as a teacher, so I’m just going to go over it.
Are there line breaks between every paragraph? No? There need to be. It’s hard to read when all of the words are bunched together, meaning automatic exits will happen, regardless of content.
Do you start a new paragraph every single time a new person speaks? You should.
“When someone is speaking,” I asked, “do you put a comma before the speech tag?” Commas, not periods. Not periods then commas. Punctuation goes inside the quotation marks.
Are you writing in first or second person (I or you)? Don’t.
Pay attention to your tenses. It is very confusing reading a story that switches tenses every sentence.
Are you capitalizing the beginning of every sentence and proper noun? You have to. Reading all lowercase takes energy and concentration and readers don’t like to put more effort in than they’re used to. Also it’s just pointless.
Get a beta reader. Get grammarly (but the free version, don’t pay) or another editing service. Google anything you have a question about. EDIT YOUR WRITING.
2) New ideas
Every fandom has tropes they love, but not every fic can be a trope fic. Every fic I write is, if not completely new, a spin on a popular trope.
Yes, there are some popular field trip fics, but most of them get lost in the weeds because they are all the same. And most of the people I talk to don’t even like them. (This counts for May dies fics, sensory overload… If you’re going to write it, you have to make it different and you have to make it good.)
Look to other movies or books for ideas, check out irondad-fic-ideas, something. Write something new, something only you can write, and at least some people will notice.
3) Good characterization
Now apparently everything I write is OOC, so maybe I’m not the best person to be giving advice on this :/ (I’m still annoyed. I’m getting over it)
BUT–the best way to write a well-known character is to know the source material. Listen to the way they talk, watch how they move. Ignore fanon. It’s hard, but try. Peter isn’t actually a perpetual ray of sunshine, chatter box 12 year old like we often write him, Tony isn’t 100% sarcasm and incapable of recognizing his own feelings.
If you can hear the character say it in their actual voice, it’s probably a good line.
4) Misc.
Fandom rule of thumb: cute fluff and hardcore whump win out over deep character studies on convoluted plot lines. If you’re just looking for hits or maybe a fic to establish yourself, that’s a good way to do it.
If you’re posting a multi-chapter fic, don’t post it all at once. People will comment on each chapter as you post and you’ll get more hits.
Respond to comments, especially at the early stages. It makes your readers more invested, it builds friendships, and it makes your stats look better.
There’s a blog that supports little known writers in this fandom! Rec your fics there!
Make sure to never, ever put “I suck at summaries” or “fic is better than summary” it is an instant turnoff. If you can’t write the thing that makes me want to read the fic well, why would I think I want to read the fic?
Tagging on AO3 is vital. Tag the right relationships, tag the right emotions (angst, fluff, hurt/comfort). I often sort just by these. Always put in the category, (M/M, F/M, etc.) and the rating. There is no reason not to, but not doing so makes people less likely to read. Always tag triggers.
Never steal fics or ideas. If a story inspires you, you can ask the author if you can write something similar and then link in your story back to theirs. Nothing will make you less popular in a fandom than stealing work.
Lastly, I know authors constantly talk about how important comments and kudos are, and they are so important to bolstering spirits, I get that, but if you aren’t writing for yourself first, you will always be disappointed. You should enjoy your fic as much when you read it in your word doc as when you read it online with comments and kudos. And maybe you write really niche stuff that doesn’t appeal to a lot of people, but churning out carbon copies of the Fandom Tropes and hoping for hits is not going to satisfy you and you will keep being frustrated.
Let’s not do this again, shall we? Next time you have a question, ask me nicely.

Favorite food: Khow Suey. Idk how to describe it in English but it’s like noodles that you mix with like thick yellow curry and chicken tarkari, and you can put fried onions on top and what I call samosa crumbs (basically the crunchy dough you use for samosas, it’s like the dough fried alone and you just crush it and put it on top), and I add a bit of ketchup too cause its noodles and it's so good
Favorite ice cream flavor: Cookies and cream, or just basic french vanilla

Fun fact about yourself that not everyone would know?: I used to be a tomboy when I was a kid, and probably still am deep inside
When did you post your first piece?
January 2020
Why did you start writing on Tumblr?
I found it easier to gain feedback and find an audience of readers on Tumblr, plus the site was just easier for me to navigate compared to like Wattpad
Do you write fluff/angst/crack/general/smut, combo, etc? Why?
I write anything I feel like writing, and am open to trying new stuff. I just won’t write smut. I don’t feel comfortable writing or reading it
Do you write OCs, X Readers, Ships...etc?
I write x readers
Who is your favorite person to write about?
I don’t have a favourite person, mainly because I pick people based on who I think would fit a certain concept best. I guess my favourite would be y/n LOL because y/n is in every fic and I put myself into their character.
What inspires you to write?
I just like writing. I get a lot of ideas of stuff I want to write, and as a kid I wanted to be an author, but that obviously isn’t happening anytime soon so I just write fanfics. They’re easier to write because characters are already developed for you, and they don’t have a word limit to how long and short they need to be compared to actual OC fics
What genres/AUs do you enjoy writing the most?
Anything that relates to normal people, I enjoy writing. I like to insert my own experiences and thoughts in my stories so I write scenarios that I can imagine myself in or things I’ve experienced already, stuff like that
What do you hope your readers take away from your work?
I just want them to enjoy what I write. I’d like for my fics to be memorable, but idk if they are lol
What do you do when you hit a rough spot creatively?
I just don’t write. It’s bad but I don’t want to write something that I don’t like so I don’t force myself to write when I don’t feel like it. If it takes me months to get out of that rough spot, then oh well. I don’t want to force myself to do anything that would make me hate writing, since it's one of the only few hobbies of mine.
What is your favorite work and why? Your most successful?
Most successful is murder replay. My favourite is an unreleased fic that I’m still working on. It’s pretty self-indulgent, and I talk about internal conflict with sexuality and not knowing what you really want, alongside being insecure and having mental illnesses. It’s angsty but it’s one of my favourites because of how much of myself I’ve poured into it
Do you think there’s a difference between writing fanfiction vs. completely original prose?
It’s the same. Aside from the character being a real life person, fanfiction is the exact same as prose because it’s completely original ideas and thoughts, completely original sentences, and in general just the exact same as original prose. There’s like no difference.
What do you think makes a good story?
A writer who enjoys what they’re doing. It doesn’t matter your skill level or your language skills, or whatever. If you are passionate about what you write, then it will be evident in the story, and it will be a great story. There’s other things like the story idea and genre, but that’s all dependent on the reader. What I think makes a good story is different from what someone else thinks makes a good story. But in general, it’s the author that makes it good. You can tell if the writer really liked what they were doing, or if they were just writing for the sake of throwing words on a document and then calling it a day.
What is your writing process like?
Get an idea. Make a doc with that idea. Either immediately try and develop details, or leave the idea as is for months, maybe years. After developing the details, write the beginning of the fic, a few scenes I really liked, and then call it a day and never open the document for a few months again lol. Then I wait until I’m in the mood to write for that specific fic, and then I will write as much as I can. Finishing fics is a struggle, I’ve yet to finish my longer ones lol. I have a terrible writing process. The only way I really finish is if I already told my followers i will post it and theyre all waiting for it. Then I feel bad leaving people hanging and so it motivates me to finish. But yeah once I actually finish it, I throw it into grammarly and some other editors, fix stuff up, and publish.
Would you ever repurpose a fic into a completely original story?
Doubt it. Once I’m done with a fic, I’m done. I don’t really want to go back and change anything. Even the longer fics that I love, I get sick of them and so I just dont want to touch them once they're done.
What tropes do you love, and what tropes can’t you stand?
I’m a huge sucker for childhood best friends to lovers lol. I have gushed about this on my blog a few times. Just the fact that you know someone for that long, and even been through arguments and times of not talking to each other, just to still come back to each other, thats real love even if its platonic. I’m just a sucker for that stuff. I also really enjoy anything that I, as a normal person, can relate to so high school AUs, college AUs, platonic AUs, anything real life based. There’s no tropes that I can’t stand, just tropes I don’t find interest in or don’t read much.
How much would you say audience feedback/engagement means to you?
Depends on how long i took to write the fic. If it’s a short piece ranging between a few hundred words to maybe a couple thousand words then I don’t really care much because chances are I didn’t take long to write it. My pieces that are longer than 5k, I care about because those are usually the ones more close to my heart, and the ones I spent way more time than necessary working on. Even just one reader telling me they enjoyed my story makes my day
What has been one of the biggest factors of your success (of any size)?
I know murder replay which is my current biggest story blew up, and I feel like part of it was because of the frequent updating I did. I kept a schedule and made sure to stick with it, even changing parts of the story to fit feedback from readers. Consistency was definitely key, and also engaging with readers. Replying to all their reblogs even if it was just tags they added, constantly expressing how grateful I am, stuff like that because it makes people feel that they’re validated as well. And I guess the general idea/trope of the fic was interesting to people too
Do you think fanfic writers get unfairly judged?
Yeah lol. It’s definitely something I hide from everyone I know in real life because I dont want to be looked down on.
Do you think art can be a medium for change?
Yes!! Art defies boundaries set by language, especially visual art. Stories are a good way to express things to people who don’t understand why something is the way it is, it’s literally what has been done by humans since the start of time. We pass down stories explaining things.
Do you ever feel there are times when you’re writing for others, rather than yourself?
Yeah, sometimes when I felt really burnt out, I felt I had to post an update or something just so that my followers got what they kinda signed up for when they followed me. It was partially just the pressure I put onto myself I guess because my followers are always supportive and understanding when I say I cant post an update. I’d also say in general there’s a part of me that wants to write for others too. I would be lying if I said I only write for myself because that’s not true. The whole reason I write and post is because I want some reader interaction and feedback, and if I truly did only write for myself I wouldn’t be posting.
Do you ever feel like people have misunderstood you or your writing at times?
Not yet! And I hope I don’t have to experience that lol
Do your offline friends/loved ones know you write for Tumblr?
Nope. No one does. It’s something I wanna keep to myself. Even some of my other internet friends don’t know.
What is one thing you wish you could tell your followers?
I purposely send a bunch of messages because I feel bad leaving people on read so I just keep sending hearts and stuff to express my love but also just so that you can end the convo when you feel like.
Do you have any advice for aspiring writers who might be too scared to put themselves out there?
Go for it! It might be scary to get criticism, but I promise there are way more nice people on Tumblr than there are mean people. In fact I haven’t even interacted or met with a mean anon or person on here yet. Also the only way to really start is to go for it. I get anxious too every time I post something, even now, and honestly its just a feeling ya know. Its just chemicals in your body. So don’t stress, and if you always need someone to boost your ego and promote your work you have me!
Are there any times when you regret joining Tumblr?
Nope
Do you have any mutuals who have been particularly formative/supportive in your Tumblr journey?
The memorable ones are Mimu, Nini, Gwen, Philo, and Krystal who were supportive of murder replay. Also sunflower anon and peace sign anon, and recently Jo has been really supportive.
Pick a quote to end your interview with
“...the universe is basically like a machine. I don’t know who made it, if it was the Fates, or the gods, or capital-G God, or whatever. But it chugs along the way it’s supposed to most of the time. Sure, little pieces break and stuff goes haywire once in a while, but mostly . . . things happen for a reason.” Leo Valdez in The House of Hades (so technically Riordan lol)

BLOG POST #1
1. How is digital writing defined across the readings for today?
I believe that digital writing should be defined as digital writing if technology is used to write it. This matches up with the exact definition of it. Digital writing as compositions created with, and oftentimes for read- ing or viewing on, a computer or other device that is connected to the Internet.
2. How do parents view different digital writing activities? Which activities do they see as helpful and which ones hurtful to their children?
Parents like when kids can be resourceful on computers, this is good for writing school assignments, however some parents will disagree with this because kids have become lazy and often download apps like grammarly to correct their assignments.
3. Why do you think digital writing matters? Give five reasons.
I think it matters because I am personally a visual learner and with digital writing visualization can easily be represented. Distributed Cognition is quick and the ability to interact with audiences is really important. Networking, we have the ability to search and give information very quickly. Appropriation being able to mix different media content helps get the message across. Collective intelligence is helpful because you’re able to share knowledge.
4. What are the top six digital transformation trends in media and entertainment, according to Forbes article? Think of 3 instances for each one of those trends.
1.Artificial Intelligence Is Getting Creative
2.Cord-Cutting Has Led To New Business Models
3.Virtual And Mixed Reality Is Coming
4.Advertising Is Getting Smarter
I’ve noticed how I’ve talked about something and see it appear on my instagram feed for purchase. Lately I’ve been looking into sustainable living and I am constantly seeing different ads to purchase more sustainable products.
5.Content Is Becoming More Curated
Netflix is very focused on targeting when viewers have previously watched and manage to present similar content for the viewers.
6. Multi-Channel Experiences Are The Norm
When watching the final episode of Insecure season 4, Issa Rae and Prentice Penny the producer were tweeting about the show.
5. How is the rhetorical view of writing different from the general view of writing?
It encourage students to explore different computer and communica- tion technologies so that they may choose the best technology to facilitate their writing and the rhetorical situation to which they are responding. The general view of writing has more to do with their own writing skills than relying on technology.
6. How is digital writing different from print-based writing in terms of invention, arrangement, style, memory, and delivery? Think of some concrete examples of differences between them.
Digital writing is different from print-based by the way it’s delivered, we are no longer opening letters in the mail from people. There’s a buzz on our phones and it’s within seconds instead of days through USPS. Memory, we are able to look up research on our phones, instead of having encyclopedias. The style of writing is more engaging than it’s ever been. It has to do with the attention span of people now, it’s different than before. Arrangement I think it’s like we are no longer waiting for the morning or evening newspaper to get the news. It’s sent to our phones directly. The invention of digital writing will last longer than print-based writing. People are writing E-books instead of hard copy’s.
7. How are the contexts and spaces of writing changed these days? How are they different from, let’s say, 20 years ago? Think of some concrete examples.
The context is different because of how we communicate. People are no longer writing letters to each other, but we are sending emails, text messages and emoji’s. For my Media & Law class I was reading how emoji’s are held accountable as a threat. For example if someone were to send a bomb emoji to a person. It could be taken out of context and be presumed that they will blow up a building or something similar. It has become more accessible. I remember growing up without a computer at my house, so i’d have to go to the library for important information for my book reports.
8. What are and could be some typical resistances to digital writing or teaching digital writing in college classrooms? How do you respond to such resistances?
I believe that the resistance could come from a ‘what’s the point’ perspective. The last few years digital writing has transformed so quickly that we aren’t even aware of it, but I think it’s important to understand because in order to understand the transformation, we must look at the beginning of it.

BLOG 1
Are you interested in having a platform to express yourself online where you have full control? Then starting a blog is the best way to go as it gives you full control and there are no limits to how you can express yourself on the blog.
The subject of the blog can be about anything you’d like. It can be based on a hobby you enjoy, on your personal interests or just about you. However, it helps having a theme for the blog so that those arriving for the first time know what it’s about at first glance.
To help you create your own blog to express yourself read on for some vital tips. They are especially useful for those of you that have never started a blog before.
Introduce yourself
You may have noticed that a lot of blogs have an author area at the top of the sidebar. Here there is a pic of the blog owner and some background information about them. It’s a great way to introduce yourself and allows the audience to know who is behind the content. Taking this step can lead to higher levels of engagement with the audience.
Use tools to improve your blog
Regardless of what blog you’re creating tools must be used in order to make it more functional and practical to run. For example, you could use Grammarly to improve the spelling and grammar of the content.
You could also use SEO plugins to increase the search engine rankings. This ensures that the number of people coming to look at your content will increase. To use plugins you’ll need to make use of WordPress, which is one of the best website building platforms out there. You can start a blog using one of thousands of templates with no coding knowledge at all.
Use stories
In order to express your self using stories that can illustrate something you want to say is a great way to captivate the audience. If it’s a personal story, then that’s perfect, because it is unique to you. Also you can pour the emotions of the story on the blog, and that means high quality content that is written from the heart.
We all have stories that we like to share with friends and family, so why not do it with your blog audience? It can be a story that took place last week or during your childhood. Once you have finished the story link it in within the context of your blog post. This allows the audience to understand what the moral of the story is and what they can take away from it.
Understand who your target audience is
You need to figure out what kind of people are visiting your blog so that you’re able to write in a way that matches their interests. For example, if you are being visited mostly by women of 30 to 50 years old, then perhaps you need to use jokes and phrases that women of that age group can identify with.
Also take into account that the type of blog you create will dictate the type of people that will be regular visitors. Using tools and surveys to get feedback are useful in learning more about your target audience Consequently, you might be better equipped to express yourself in a way that you feel is natural.
Write freely and edit later
Constantly worrying about the little details can block your creative juices. Worry about the editing later and begin by writing the content as fast as your mind is generating ideas. By constantly stopping to check for mistakes and sentence structure you might limit your ability to express yourself freely.
Don’t enjoy the process of editing? Then you can hire a freelancer to do that part of the project from you. There are plenty of qualified editors looking to take on more work. They might be able to also perform other tasks like best essay services.
Writing in a manner that’s fast and creative might lead to a high rate of content production. That’s because you’re actually enjoying yourself and not worried about the little details.
Conclusion
As you can see from the advice above expressing yourself via a blog can be done in a systematic manner, but without removing the creative side of it. The blog you create should be an expression of a unique side of you. There is no need to create a generic blog when something unique can be brought to the table in a productive manner.
Also be practical about the blog you create. Using tools to improve the SEO and perhaps some social media sharing tools is a smart idea. As you begin to grow the number of blog posts you’ll have a better idea of how to create blog posts that allow you to truly express yourself, and make you more successful .

Mobile technology is a form of technology that is mostly used in cellular communication and other related aspects. It uses a form of platform where by many transmitters have the ability to send data at the same time on a single channel. This platform is called Code-division multiple access (CDMA). This platform allows many users to make use of single frequencies because it restricts the likelihood of interference of frequencies from two or more sources. This channel has evolved over the years. The mobile technology is rapidly evolving; over the years, its uses are becoming diverse and is gradually replacing some similar sources in the market that are also used for communication e.g. post office and land lines. The mobile technology has improved from a simple device used for phone call and messaging into a multi-tasking device used for GPS navigation, internet browsing, gaming, instant messaging tool etc. Professionals argue with the trend that the future of computer technology is rest on wireless networking and mobile computing. Mobile technology through tablet and portable computers are becoming more and more popular.

At the age of seven years old her father leave them because her father chose to live with her second family who was rich. It wasn’t easy for Maria and her mom, that’s why her mom chose to live her with her aunt to work abroad as an OFW at Saudi Arabia. It wasn’t easy for Maria because she was abused by her aunt. Because her aunt doesn’t give her the allowance that her mother gave her monthly. And Also it was a big adjustment for her to live in a city. She experienced bullying and discrimination in her new school because her classmater teases her that she doesn’t belong there.
•And there will be the most painful thing that will happen to her. One day while she were walking on the street, she hear on the radio that “An OFW at Saudi Arabia was killed...” after she hear that she runs very quickly and when she was home already she knew that it was her mom. About me
Educational Testing Service
Educational Testing Service Don’t write posts if you’re offended or under any kind of stress. Take some time to be relaxed and calm your mind. Are there other benefits and arguments that you haven’t thought of? A skilled author can bring recent ideas and help discover phrases that will resonate higher together with your audience. However, several questions have to be answered earlier than thinking of hiring a professional medical writer. I would positively not be the place I am in my career without STC. There are marginal variations between the terms ‘guest authors’ and ‘present authors’. These are included beneath a broader time period known as ‘honorary authors’ . By and huge, this time period contains all those that are talked about as authors, despite minor or negligible contributions, if any. Ghostwriters are ‘unnamed writers’ of the article while honorary authors are named authors who make negligible or no contribution to the article. Both ghostwriting and honorary authorship are thought of unethical practices. The international competency mannequin for medical writers does not suggest therapeutic space experience as a requirement . Way back in 1963, McVeagh had instructed making the medical author a member of the research group in such a method that the medical author’s accountability is “the presentation of the researcher’s outcomes” . This means, they’ll have a clear image of what they are to expect from the remainder of the blog post. Writing whereas offended or stressed blurs your imaginative and prescient and hinders you from writing clearly and in the long run, you gained’t specific yourself in the easiest way attainable. Therefore, only write with a transparent mind as this can deliver out the most effective in you, your focus might be one hundred%, and your content will get the number of readers you want. While writing a brand new piece, you should always maintain your feelings in examine. If you're feeling offended, unhappy, or careworn, don’t try to put in writing something as this will not yield the best outcomes. As a writer, you have to marvel how different writers get so many hits on their pages as in comparison with what you get. There must be a secret to all that success, and the truth is, there may be. All of that said, Grammarly will not hurt as a further examine on your work. Not way back I published a review of AutoCrit, a self-enhancing software designed for authors of fiction. I also discovered it useful for nonfiction work such as blog posts. Shortly after reviewing AutoCrit, I was contacted by a rep for Grammarly, one other on-line editing device for writers which serves as both a spelling and grammar checker. But possibly you’re too near the main points, too concerned in the growth of a product or strategy to have the ability to explain it properly to people exterior the group. Is your message clear and convincing for patrons or investors? I was the sponge, and STC provided the river of knowledge. I’ve made so many pals, both U.S. and worldwide, in STC. I will miss this group and its members SO a lot some day once I retire. Constantly producing new work and taking writing off your hands forever — say goodbye to writer’s block. As a writer, considered one of your main obligations is to replace your portfolio/web site regularly. With a shift to the contributorship mannequin, even medical writers who don't at all times qualify as authors will obtain adequate acknowledgement for their contribution. The European Association of Science Editors has additionally printed a guidelines for authors of scientific manuscripts . The guidelines requires authors to declare the contribution of medical writers within the acknowledgements. It is taken into account an obligatory declaration that applies to all manuscripts. Jacobs A, Wager E. European Medical Writers Association tips on the role of medical writers in developing peer-reviewed publications. Some biomedical editors predict a gradual shift from the traditional authorship system to a model of contributorship .

7 Social Media Tips for Small Business Success
The biggest failures small businesses encounter in social media come from not knowing who their customers are, who they’re competing against, which channels to target, and how to engage their audience. Most are unaware of native analytics available in all major social networks and don’t know how to integrate their online and offline marketing activities or how to automate their social scheduling.
In this blog, I will show you seven important social media marketing tips that every small business should know before embarking on its social media journey.
Tip #1: Know Your Competition
Remember that having competitors who target the same people is great because you can always check what worked for them and what didn’t, and use this knowledge to adjust your own strategy.
My advice is to start with the big fish. These guys are doing something right to get the kind of follower count and engagement they have, so why not learn from them? There are a few ways of doing this.
Use Facebook’s Pages to identify your best-performing competitors and compare their activity, engagement, and audience growth to your own. You can see exactly what content they’re posting, how often, and at what time of day they’re posting. Remember to not only look at follower count but total engagement: it will tell you how their followers are interacting with the content. Brands with high engagement rates are typically the ones to watch.
Not entirely sure who your competitors are? That’s ok. There are tools out there that can help you find the competitors you might not have been aware of. For example, with SEMrush’s Competitive Positioning Map all you need to do is to enter your URL, and the tool will automatically compile data showing you your top competitors, how much traffic they’re getting and the keywords they’re ranking for:
Pay special attention to the bubbles located above you and to your right. They represent the competitors whose total traffic exceeds yours and who are ranking for more keywords than you are.
This report will give you a good idea of who has a strong online presence, and who is investing heavily in marketing. Brands investing in marketing and getting plenty of traffic typically have strong social presences, so they’ll be good ones to check out.
If you need more advanced social media competitive analytics, tools like Rival IQ, SproutSocial, Klear, or SEMrush can provide them. They will help you track your competitors’ social pages to see how their posts perform, how much engagement they receive, which hashtags they use, and what special offers and competitions they’re running on social.
Note: Never skip the competitive analysis part if you’re just starting out.  Your competition has tried-and-tested recipes of what works and what doesn’t. Use them to your advantage.
Tip #2: Pick the Right Channel to Target
There are a lot of social media channels out there, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to be on all of them.
If you are starting your social media journey from scratch, it’s advisable that you pull together a survey and ask your customers which social media channels they prefer or use the most.
If you’re already active on social media channels, check their efficiency. Compare the size of your audience across different channels, your engagement, and engagement rate metrics. For example, the overview report in Social Media Tracker shown below will give you an idea of which channels are worth putting effort into:
Another way to pick the right target channel is to analyze your competitors’ activity. Check which channels they put their energies into, and start targeting them too: your chances of getting noticed by the relevant audience will double.
Bonus Tip: Be ruthless in getting rid of some of your accounts and prioritize your social media marketing capabilities. Not ready to make videos? Skip YouTube. Don’t have time for blog writing? Leave it for now and concentrate on one or two channels.
Tip #3: Simplify Content Creation
Creating social media content does take time, but not as much when you have the right tools at hand.
For example, Inoreader will help you find relevant content and keep up with your favorite information sources. The tool allows you to save web pages for viewing later, and subscribe to social feeds (even with the free version you can subscribe to as many sources as you like).
Photos and videos you take on your phone can be easily processed with tools like Canvas and VSCO right from your mobile device. Tools like Buffer, Sprout Social, or SEMrush Poster will help you with scheduling and posting your content across different social networks.
Social media managers are always at risk of making small errors, and social media can be merciless if you make a mistake. Use tools like Grammarly to keep your brand’s reputation intact.
To find hashtags, use RiteTag—it is an absolute must-have for any social media manager. The tool gives you tag suggestions for images or text on any site or social network. All it takes is a right click on the image or text.
Key Takeaway: have you ever heard about the 80/20 rule or Pareto principle? Apply this rule to the time you invest in social media. Plan 80% of content in advance, and spend the other 20% on live conversations with an audience.
Tip #4: Automate Your Posting
If you don’t make an effort to automate your posting routine, you will never have the time to focus on the essential things that can truly help your business.
If you manage several social networks at once, consider tools like Hootsuite and Social Media Poster. Instead of switching between multiple tabs to post your content in each individual network, you will be able to schedule content for all your social profiles from one tab and create a personalized posting schedule. You’ll have multiple scheduling options as well, whether you want your post to go live immediately, schedule it for later or create a draft and revisit it later:
Tip #5: Interact with Your Audience on Social
There are two sides to this.
The first one is about monitoring your online mentions across the web and responding to them. The other is about not forgetting to respond to your followers’ messages on social. Both are crucial if you want your business to succeed. So how do you manage both?
People will talk about your brand across the web. And they will either be happy with your brand and want to say thank you, or they’ll be disappointed. You have to respond to both types of mentions, be it a positive review or a total diss.
Social media monitoring tools such as Mention.com, SEMrush Brand Monitoring, or Brand24.com allow you to track and categorize your online mentions, find influencers, and identify new promotional opportunities.
If you have more than one social account, I’d definitely recommend trying Buffer Reply. It helps you keep all your social conversations in one team inbox and respond to them right from the tool’s interface. Another great thing about Buffer Reply is that it provides you with sufficient data about the person you’re talking to, allowing you and your team to create personalized responses.
Keep in Mind: Your customers may contact you directly, or they may leave a review online. Either way, they want and need to be heard. Make communication with your audience, whether online or offline, your key priority.
Tip #6:  Engage your Audience Constantly
Test different content formats. Try videos, live streaming, and quizzes. Take pictures of your product, customers with your product, competitors with your product, and cats with your product. Try jokes, memes, and funny statements—experiment with the potential of humor. Don’t forget to set an engagement metric for all the content you post. Otherwise, how will you know what works and what doesn’t?
You can easily entertain your audience with thematic and occasion-based campaigns. These could be campaigns built around holidays and events such as an upcoming game release or a TV series premiere. They usually require minimum investment and effort on your part. Because the interest in the event is already there, all you need to do is use it to attract people’s attention to your product.
Remember:  Test, experiment with, and measure different types of content. See how your audience reacts and then test it all over again. Social media marketing is all about experimenting and innovating.
Tip #7: Integrate the Online and the Offline
Surely you must have thought about running special offers and competitions for your customers! Make an effort to promote your special offers and sales through social media channels. All it takes to integrate online and offline marketing is the right hashtag. Tools like Hashtagify and Ritetag will not only help you brainstorm new hashtags to use but also show you the popularity and potential reach and impact of specific terms and phrases:
Remember to create a branded hashtag for your product and an additional hashtag for your marketing activities.
The same goes for offline events. Organizing a charity ball or an email marketing panel? Be sure to create a location hashtag to help you connect with local audiences. Examples: #wintergardenfarmersmarket, #dallasfood, #phillysports. Keep in mind that hashtags are everchanging.
Remember: Promoting offline events online is an essential step to a successful marketing strategy. Integrate your online and offline marketing with the right hashtags.

10 More Phrases to Never, Ever Use at Work
Professional communication can feel like a careful balancing act. You want to keep up with the latest business jargon, but you don’t want to step on anyone’s toes in the process.
We already covered some outdated terms and clichés in our last post on the subject. Now we’re taking on some phrases that may seem innocuous, or even helpful—until you think about what message they’re really sending.
For your edification (and your next promotion), here are ten more words and phrases you should never use at work.
Here’s a tip:  Grammarly runs on powerful algorithms developed by the world’s leading linguists, and it can save you from misspellings, hundreds of types of grammatical and punctuation mistakes, and words that are spelled right but used in the wrong context. Learn More
1“Let me know”
It’s easy to tag this catchall phrase onto the end of your emails, but it doesn’t translate into action. If you want results, take some initiative.
“Let me know when you’re free to meet.”
“I’m available to meet on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. Which time works for you?”
“Let me know how I can help.”
“I’ll call Kevin to get an estimate for you.”
2“You Look Tired”
Someone who “looks tired” already knows—you don’t need to point it out. And since this phrase is synonymous with “you look terrible,” don’t expect a positive response.
If you notice someone seems tired and you’re genuinely concerned for them, try one of these phrases on for size:
“Hey, how are you doing today?”
“I’m grabbing coffee at Starbucks, would you like anything?”
“You’ve been putting in a lot of time on this project. Is there anything I can help you with?”
3“Just”
You may be using “just” to soften the tone of your message, but it could communicate that what you’re saying isn’t especially important.
Removing “just” from your vocabulary conveys confidence in your actions. If you know what you need, go ahead and ask for it.
“Sorry to bother you, I just want to check in on your progress on the report due tomorrow.”
“How’s progress on the report coming along? I look forward to reviewing it tomorrow.”
4“I think” / “I feel”
It’s time to let the security blanket go. These qualifying phrases may feel safe, but they’re undermining your credibility. Constantly using “I think” communicates a lack of confidence in your ideas and abilities. Instead, ditch the qualifiers and make assertive statements like:
“I can get my completed article to you by 5:00 p.m.”
“This is the best plan for the new campaign.”
5“It’s not fair”

We all hate to feel injustice, but how you respond to difficult circumstances is your choice.
Instead of pouting, channel that frustration into useful action. What can you do to address the issue? Use facts rather than feelings to argue your case.
“It’s not fair that Kevin gets to go to the conference instead of me.”
“I’ve put in over 20 hours creating this presentation and am the most comfortable talking about the material. It makes sense for me to be the lead presenter at the conference.”
6“OMG, did you hear about Kevin?”

Who doesn’t love the inside scoop? (Especially about Kevin.) But gossiping at work is in poor taste, and could have negative consequences for your career.
If you feel the need to vent, do your kvetching with a non-work friend. And if you have a conflict with someone, talk to them directly—or, if appropriate, talk with your company’s human resources department.
7“I’ll try”

So, will you do what I requested or not? Instead of using this wishy-washy phrase, boost your coworkers’ confidence in you by clearly setting expectations.
“I won’t be able to write the report today, but I can have it to you by noon tomorrow.”
“I’ll research how to do that and will check in with Kevin if I need assistance.”
8“It’s not my fault”
We’re all adults. No matter whose fault it is, you’ll get more respect if you explain the situation in a professional manner.
Take responsibility for your own actions, and explain the mistakes of others without throwing them under the bus. And be honest about what was and wasn’t outside of your team’s control.
9“Maybe it’s stupid, but…”
It’s natural to fear the critique of others, but using this qualifier imposes a negative lens on your thoughts before your audience has a chance to evaluate your statement for themselves.
Instead of self-sabotaging, practice stating your ideas with confidence.
“I have an idea for our next project. It’s different from what we usually do, and I think this could give us some new results.”
10“Sorry”
By all means, apologize when you’re accepting responsibility for an error you’ve made. But let’s take a moment to think about how woefully overused this little word is.
“I’m sorry, but could you have the presentation ready by noon?”
“I’ll need the presentation ready by noon so we’ll have time to review it. I greatly appreciate your work on this.”
“Sorry I’m late to our meeting.”
“Thank you so much for waiting. Let’s get started!”
“Sorry, I won’t have the article ready on time.”
“I’ll need to postpone the article until Thursday. Two of my interviewees weren’t available until today.”
