hey! I'm trying to design a kind of spooky-circus + pastel-goth inspired little bat guy (his name is Fig Tart). He's going to be a magical animal companion to a Magical Boy Character I'm making.

I'm trying to figure out what I can add to his design to make it feel more complete. If you have any ideas of what could look cool or something I could change then I'd appreciate it!

Important themes: hearts, stitches/ plush toy, stripes, frills and bows

The core colours are: Dark brown, washed out pink, strawberry(?), cream, and rose gold

Sitting here with the "excuse" of being sick and not fit enough to really write, I've realized... how it feels so very nice and relaxing to sit like that, and not think 'oh but I need to write, I'm falling behind on replies and people wait so-and-so-long on my thing already'.

I half feel like this is supposed to tell me that I just shouldn't RP anymore. But, I like RP, all in all. I needed a hot filling lunch for a miserable November afternoon so I tried making volcano eggs also known as Korean steamed eggs.

I thought it was going well then...

It popped the lid off o.o

I don't have the traditional earthenware pots this dish is usually cooked in so I attempted with an enamel pot, when the lid for that was too small I subbed it in for a bowl, then that jumped off the pot I used a bigger bowl that managed to work.

After all that it came out ok and was delicious ^-^ (not entirely sure the top was cooked enough since it didn't have a lid half the time but it was yummy all the same.)

It's supposed to be a side dish but I ate it as my main meal. Usually its served with rice but my rice cooker is a big 10 cup cooker and I don't fancy fried rice every day this week.

Mistakes I made you should try not to repeat:

Over filling the pot.

Not having a suitable lid.

I may have put too much stock in???

Slightly burnt the bottom.

Not having an earthenware pot.

Making too much, I'm sooo full right now....

It was delicious, filling and warming. It's easy and simple to make I had all the ingredients already, only thing I was missing was the earthenware pot. I'd highly recommend this dish especially during cold weather, and even if you don't have an earthenware pot because it may not have been perfect but it was still delicious.

Any suggestions on what autumn or winter dishes I should try?

God I really hate having trypanophobia. Legit almost passed out at work earlier today because I had to read about like vaccines and health policy stuff and literally all it had was a few cartoon needle/blood images off to the side and it still made me feel lightheaded and sick to my stomach while reading it. So embarrassing...

(Other than that, work went pretty well today and I was able to get through everything else just fine, and even doing the register was a lot easier on my second day despite not being a very socially adept person!^^)
