but what I've noticed is that western artist stan twitter has accepted jk. I don't see anyone being racist or calling him a fraud the way they did with jimin. They were literally camped up in any jimin related tweets spreading negativity, be it lana stans or taylor stans. But now they're sudden so proud of jk for defeating morgan wallen but the reaction was completely the opposite when jimin topped the chart. Idk what it is that jk has for him to be accepted by those kind of stans so i wouldn't be surprised if he actually reaches jb heights of fame with scooters help. Bts and jimin faced a lot of backlash from western stans but not jk and that says a lot, scooter made the right choice, cause he is already treated like a western artist by people in the US. This is totally based off what I'm currently seeing online tho, i have no clue as to how he is being received outside of scmed

You might not know this yet, but let me tell you a secret... The internet is a very huge place. Like, really really big. And the world outside internet? Even bigger.

I've definitely seen people under those pop base tweets or whatever calling him fraud, saying "yeah after the 29r738 remix" and all that. So many people were literally under every seven tweet saying "latto's impact, latto carried". Just for the sake of it.

You must know Lana stans were literally saying "Jimin is our only competition". Exactly who's Jungkook supposed to compete with right now? He almost lost to a man singing about guns in front of a power point presentation.

I personally saw lots of praise for Jimin, if that's what you're concerned about. To this day, I still see it. I just saw it yesterday on this tweet too.

Last week or something I saw some compilation of screenshots of people on TikTok saying they're obsessed with this song and how it's the best song this year.

If you want to hyperfocus on the negative stuff that's on you. I'm just going to be honest and say that I can't take you or anyone like that seriously because at some point all this negativity starts to sound downright pathological to people who are on the receiving end of it. After all, you're simply not saying the whole truth, and the only reason for that is y'all's mania of clinging on to every little negative thing and never overcoming a tweet that said "Jimin flop". I see viral hate tweets against Taylor everyday, and how exactly is that affecting her?

What got you into motley crue?

oh that's a fun and long and convoluted story, actually!

back in 2017, I got really into glam metal by buying a Twisted Sister album (Best of the Atlantic Years) on sale. Then, when Fall Out Boy released their album Mania in 2018, one of the verses in the song "Young and Menace" mentioning Nikki Sixx intrigued me and kinda stuck with me for a while. This one:

"And I've lived so much life, lived so much life

I think that God is gonna have to kill me twice

Kill me twice like my name was Nikki Sixx"

That didn't quite lead me to Mötley Crüe just yet tho!

First, I got more into retro synthwave songs (imo a natural progression from my appreciation of vaporwave and futurefunk and my slowly developing obsession with everything 80s that had been brewing for a couple years at that point), a classmate got me more into hardrock and metal, which reignited my love for Iron Maiden on the side, I then discovered darker/heavier synthwave, which led me to the DANCE WITH THE DEAD remix of Master of Puppets

which then led me to their remix of Kickstart My Heart (my very first brush with a Mötley Crüe song <3)

But that wasn't it either, not there yet by a long shot!

Then it took another 2-ish years and my budding Metalocalypse obsession inbetween for me to stumble upon a Mötley Crüe x Male Reader comfort fanfic (yes, sometimes I just look for nice x reader comfort stories for my mental health, don't question it) that really got me into the band! It was "No Chicken or Soup" by NewBikeWithThePlateReadThe666 on AO3!

At first I couldn't really visualise all 4 of them, had a hard time telling Nikki, Tommy and Mick apart. Then I told myself I need to gather more knowledge about them, clued into the fact I already kinda knew one of their songs through the remix I mentioned above, started my insane photo collection, listened to more of their songs, bought the only available album at my local electronics store, and the rest is history 😂👌

My quick overview of Money in the Bank! Overall, it was a pretty good show. 7/10⭐

‼️MITB 2023 SPOILERS AHEAD‼️

So happy that Iyo won the women's match. Love her 💜 Zoey was my sleeper pick to 2 win but I don't quite think she's ready yet. Trish is making her better every week tho. Iyo and Bayley are gonna have some drama now. I know it! The handcuff spot ending was great! I loved the creativity. Zelina showed out with that Code Red from the top of the ladder. And all the ladies where serving this their gear. As they should.

Gunther kicked Riddles ass, as he should. The match was good and Gunther looked great as always. Drew coming back was the highlight of that segment. He and Gunther are gonna kick the crap out of one another soon. And I honestly see Drew as the one to dethrone Gunther. Perhaps with some help from The Brawling Brutes again since Vinci and Kaiser are still a factor.

Surprise ! John Cena showed up and hinted that Mania may be in London in the future. My Aussie husband Grayson showed up and he and Cena had a good promo battle. Possible Cena/Grayson match in the future?? Because I'd love to see that when Grayson's leg is good to go. Grayson had a killer shirt on as always. That's one more to add to my wardrobe when I've got money.

Finn and Seth put on a banger match. Kinda wished it was Demon! Finn tho. Judgment Day is so clearly gonna break up soon and I am all for it. Finn needs to be free of the shit Rhea and Dom have going on. So does Damian. Personally, I think that Finn should start tagging with JD McDonagh and Damian should get a singles run.

Not a huge Cody fan but he kicked Dom's annoying ass so yay Cody! The match was okay. I've always found Cody kinda eh. And Dom's character with Rhea is just annoying.

Didn't really care for the tag match until Shayna pulled a GOATED move and smacked Rhonda up. Hopefully this either means Rhonda is gonna be gone for a while or Shayna is gonna give her the work in a full match/fued. Also, I'm happy for Liv getting the belt back. Don't really care for Raquel 🫠

Bloodline Civil War was a great match! Jimmy and Jey both showed out and proved that Roman is slowly becoming irrelevant. Loved seeing my man Solo kick ass! (even if it was his bro's ass😭) That's my man and I can't wait for him to drop Roman and get back on the same page with his bros. Romans's time on top is coming to an end and I can't wait for him to drop the belts. I'm a shield stan for life. But that man has become so bland both with his promos and his in-ring work. It's time for someone else to have the belt and be on top. I 100% think that Jey should be the one to dethrone him. Poetic Justice if you will.

The men's ladder match was 🔥🔥🔥. Shoutout to my man Ricochet for putting Logan through that table with that amazing spot. Shinsuke and Butch both looked really solid in the match. Hopefully, they'll let Shin get more screen time. (also let Pat come back. I miss him jamming out to Shin's music) Logan was okay in the match. His ring work is getting better. He works well as a heel and I loved the boys all ganging up on him. (not a Logan hater. Just thought it was funny) Damian did solid work. He was my sleeper pick and I didn't mind him winning. Though my husband LA Knight should HAVE WON THE MATCH!! Triple H will be hearing from my therapist. Papa Trip hinted after the show that Knight is gonna get a push soon because of all the attention he's getting. I can see him going after Austin's US championship since Theory's run is dry as hell and it's about time he dropped the belt.

Extra random thoughts.

Wade Barrett looked fine as fuck in that pink blazer. I'm obsessed and in love 😍

The Sami and Kevin segment was great. Love my chaotic BFFs

Rhea needs to drop the title already. Cuz girl ain't doing shit with the locker room.

Writing challenge - creating an OC using a playlist

Soo, I had a long day today and I wanted to finish it off in a good way. So after seeing 0 interesting content, I opened Pinterest and that picture appeared to me. It wasn't the first time I had seen it, but that was the first time that I actually decided it would be a good idea to give this challenge a try, and I'm glad I did!!!!!!!!

It's so interesting to see how the OC came out as someone completely different from me, even tho she was created from my favorite songs on Spotify, which is basically a dump to my personality, or so I thought... But anyways, ladies and gentlemen.... HER:

Her personality: "As it was" by Harry Styles

The lyrics of this song doesn't "match" with its cheerful beat. If you take a minute to listen to it, like really listen, you'll be able to see someone struggling. It's someone who has a hard time opening to others and letting their vulnerable side show. For some reason, likely something that happened in the past, the person closed themselves to the world.

When I listened to this song thinking about an OC, I thought of someone who had to grow up when they were still a kid, and of someone who didn't have the time to understand and work on their traumas. [It wasn't intentional, but that does reminds me of Castiel]

Kim grew up in a dysfunctional family where she didn't have the support from her parents and relatives. She was barely a teen when she was forced to look after herself when her parents were so close to her, but at the same time completely absent.

Her job: "Santo" by Jão

So here we have Jão again, I really like his songs if you guys haven't noticed it yet Kkkkkk

The title of this song means "Saint". I was a bit taken aback when I listened to this song thinking about a "job" for my OC, but well... It kinda makes sense somehow

This was a translation of part of the lyrics, and listening to that, some things came to my mind:

-A sinful priest (discarded this in a second)

-An escort girl

So I ended up choosing the 2nd option. Kim is a beautiful girl and she knows it, she ended up having to use it to survive; she didn't have the support to continue her studies and she already had as many common part time jobs as she could take, and being an escort was one of them.

Their backstory: "Coraline" by Måneskin

This song is so..... UGH 😭

I hate being so harsh on my characters, they're like my babies.... But that was the shuffle play, not me :((((((

Basically, that song talks about a beautiful girl called Coraline who's living a miserable life and "hiding" her truths. People are also very judgmental towards her, saying things like "she’s worth nothing. She can’t even get out a miserable door"

This song is so good, but so sad. I love it, but I hate it represents Kim backstory and add even more sense to her character from what we've seen up till now.

Her friends: "Genie in a bottle" by Christina Aguilera

I feel like I've been locked up tight

For a century of lonely nights

She has never had real friend and even if she wanted to so badly, she's never really been completely open to it, so scared she was to show her vulnerable side and letting her guards down.

She's definitely not someone easy to deal with, but slowly, if you take the right steps to her heart, she will open her heart to you.

Just wanted to say that this one is a classic!!!!! So groovy, I love it.

This song was so random istg.... But tbh that's what made me to think of Kim as east asian, because a Japanese name is mentioned in the song, so.... Why not? That's my 1st time thinking about an Asian OC.

The song starts with something like "as cold as ice" and I'm lazy to go look for it now, so that makes me think Kim is really used to the cold (the cold is also mentioned in Coraline). And also, I heard that in Korea tangerines are kinda common, so Kim could be Korean or maybe Japanese... I even thought about northern China because of the cold, but I haven't decided yet, so for now she's "east asian".

Clothing style: "Tomboy" by Destiny Rogers

CHEF'S KISS

Kim can be anyone she wants. She can be a tomboy, but she can also slay with a red lipstick. I just love this song SO MUCH and it fits Kim's vibe 100%!

Their hobbies: "MONTERO" by Lil Nas X & "Dancing in the moonlight" by Toploader

Well, this girl definitely like to dance!!!!!! And Montero just confirms her "player" and sexual side. I don't have much energy now to elaborate that more, so that's it for today!!!!

😅 What's a story or scene you've created that you're a smidge embarrassed exists?

I have an entire scene in They Called Her Mania, where Vega jokingly slut shames both Slayer and Mania by how long it took each of them to change their mind from wanting to kill the other, to wanting to sleep with the other.

That scene has since gone under some heavy editing, but I am embarrassed that scene left my fingers in the first place.

😈 Has there been a point in a story where you did something just to be playfully mean to your readers?

"You'd kill me?" Her voice was glitching as her mask modulator struggled against the previous damage.

"Only if you survive the fall."

Putting this at the end of a Least Sane Moments part 3 is probably my favorite cruelty in my writing.

But also in Devil of the Crossroads

The assignment should have had her back by sundown at the latest. It would have been more dangerous to hit the warehouses at night as Sevika had found weeks ago, his security was tightest after sundown.

"Silco." Pepper's voice warned. "Where is she?"

He didn't have an answer.

Uhh… I like to think that I write very compelling and likeable characters, even in antagonistic roles.

🍦 What's the sweetest fic you've created so far?

Without a doubt, Innocent Schemes and Guilty Consciences part 1 is the fluffiest thing I have ever written. I don't think that fic is going to stay very fluffy tho.

❌ What's a trope you will never write?

Emotional clinginess is by far the most annoying thing I keep seeing in a lot of fics. If it's something you like, then it's great that you found something for you, but I personally, absolutely hate seeing fics where the OC or the reader insert is just overly dependent.

Like, if you wanted to write a fic about Viktor, if your point is to write him in character, then he would not drop everything because his partner is pouting for attention. He would not thrive with a partner that constantly requires him to leave his passions at the door for them. Nobody should expect their partner to drop everything and give attention whenever it's convenient for them.

And I hate even more when the OC/reader insert acts like their partner owes them something in return for not dropping everything and giving them attention. I've been in enough relationships with emotionally clingy people to tell you that shit is draining, and I could never write that unless I was specifically trying to show a dysfunctional relationship.

🎨 How do you feel about fan art of your stories?

I literally love it so much, please make all the fanart, I will reblog it, and perhaps I can offer blog shout outs in fics, and even feature fanart (with permission and proper credit) in chapter updates themselves.

At this point, you can also send me short stories with my own OCs (just credit me) and I will reblog them. If I like it enough, and it's possible, I might even enjoy putting the short on my canon timeliness (with your permission and proper credit also).

📈 How many fics do you have?

I have a lot of fics (especially in my star wars phase) that never saw the light of posting. And as of now, I also have several fics in other places, that I have yet to post because they're sequels to fics that are already on my Masterlist, and I need to finish those stories before I start posting sequels and short stories and other fics.

I have 9 currently on my Masterlist, 3 more MHA fics that may never get posted, 1 Venom x OC fic that I barely have a concept for but still have something written, 9 unfinished Star Wars concepts including several space lesbians and other pairings, 1 other Doom fic that I actually already have 18k written for and I just haven't finished editing the first few chapters, and 2 sequels to my current Arcane fic lineup that both start a bit before or during Act II of Arcane, including a fic of a grown up Sketch, and Devo joining Viktor in a spiral out of Piltover's control.

😬 Which of your fics would you be most horrified for friends, family, or coworkers to stumble upon?

I suffer from a disease known as "No shame to the point that I openly talk about writing fanfiction in my real life."

However, that being said, there's a reason I have yet to post that second Doom fic. And it's because I'm not too sure how my friends (who know my tumblr) will react to knowing I wanna fuck a 10 ft tall, morally gray, robot. Like they probably already know, I'm just scare of the consequences of them knowing exactly in what detail.

💔 Is there a fic of yours that broke your heart?

Honestly, Least Sane Moments breaks my heart most of the time. I have the occasional moment in Fuck Around and Find Out where it just hurts, but Least Sane Moments is just a heartbreaking story the most put of all of my fics. At its core, it's a story of someone getting all the support the world can possibly afford them, and still struggling to accept and trust it because of how they've been treated.

🤩 Who is your favorite character to write?

Pepper very quickly became my favorite character to write when I realized just how much people liked to read her. Whip smart with a funny accent, and an attitude appears to have accidentally been the crabby patty formula for a very specific niche of OC content consumers, and I couldn't be happier about it.

I don't know how many of my followers know this, but I'm from Georgia. I've grown up around Southern accents, and I even struggle to keep mine down a lot of the time. Writing Pepper wasn't really a therapeutic experience, she's just a fun one. Like she doesn't have to be anything for me, she's just entertaining. And I think a lot of the reason her dialogue is so fun to write is because it comes naturally to me, and her narration is fun to write because it's usually what I'm thinking anyway, she just thinks of it quicker than I do.

best place to start w sonic media?

Sonic the Hedgehog's biggest strength and weakness is diversity. There are infinite takes on what Sonic the Hedgehog should be and that's part of why the fandom's so split cuz we want one or more specific aspects so I'll give you some hints on where you might want to start cuz there's really no one good starting point.

Games where holding down on the D pad makes you roll and speed up: Sonic Advance. It's not as hard as Sonic 2 and it's not as long as Sonic 3 & Knuckles. It also has one of the better special stage systems. If you liked this game I'd go for Sonic 2 next, and if you thought the game was WAY too short then Sonic Mania is for you!

3D games that focus on platforming: Sonic Lost World is in my opinion the most fun to play as Sonic the character. It has a good progression of difficulty, but unfortunately the game does a poor job at teaching you how to use your moves.

Best grab bag game: Sonic Adventure 2 no contest. It has a really cheesy action-adventure story and three really different and fun gameplay styles. Plus it has the best version of chao garden if you wanna pet some dudes and race them

Hardest 3D Sonic game: Sonic Unleashed easily. If you wanna go as fast as possible and try again and again and again to get the best ranks you play this game. Also the werehog is god of war.

Hardest 2D Sonic game: That'll be Sonic Rush, it's also super fast paced and you'll struggle to balance speed and platforming.

Easiest 3D Sonic game: Sonic Forces. This also has a very customizable character (and technically has really difficult challenges, but you'll only run across that for 100%)

Easiest 2D Sonic game: Sonic 4. The second episode has way more depth tho and there's no real bonus from playing both episodes besides Metal Sonic

Comics: the new IDW comics, I love Archie but it's very '90s superhero comic and also very much an Archie comic (love triangles and romance drama) though the earliest Archie comics are very gag driven which would never be revisited until Sonic Boom (which, the Sonic Boom comics are the best thing to come out of that side project)

So far the first 30 or so issues of IDW are really, really good and the last 20 issues are really really okay. It's the one Sonic comic I'd recommend above all else. (also read the 30th anniversary special, that likely won't be on any online sites as it's technically a different canon alongside the movie one-shot)

Cartoons:

Sonic the Hedgehog (the movie) It's probably the most Sonic Sonic cartoon, but it's also only an hour long since It's a two episode original video animation and failed pilot.

Sonic the Hedgehog (the ABC series, aka SatAM) is easily the best if you love adventure and drama and want to see Sonic the Hedgehog have PTSD

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog is basically what if Americans made Sonic, it's the most like the story of the games (Sonic & Tails wandering the world and stopping Robotnik) but it's also a huge homage to early animation such as Felix the Cat (who is a big influence on Sonic's design, if you want to see Sonic's spiritual predicesor, watch The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat, whom one of the directors/writers of AoStH did some episodes and designs for)

Also go for the new movies, the second one is way better but they're going for the slow decent into villanous madness for Robotnik and that's something that'd be lost by skipping the first movie.

Though, just like the '90s Super Mario Bros. movie, it's heavily inspired by Sonic's canons, it's not an adaptation of any pre-existing story. So don't be shocked if the games and comics are nothing like this (but if you turn out to like it good news Tails is getting a movie and Knuckles a mini-series so yay!)

Sorry if that wasn't helpful, I've never really had to reccomend Sonic before, most people I know either played Sonic 2 or SA2 or something at least once. It's like reccomending Mario, you just assume people'd play it already.

Knowing something else was bothering him, she should've just asked. But she was worried. She didn't know what she did to warrant his bad mood and quite honestly, she was afraid by what his response would be.

It wasn't what he wanted to hear. She saw that when his hand slowly clenched into a fist before even more slowly, releasing. She saw the disappointment clear as day"

Hello 👋 thanks for rereading my fics 💜 I’ll do my best to answer! And sorry for my delay in responding. I wanted to make sure I answered this thoroughly. So I’m gonna be honest- it’s been a long long time since I wrote that. So I’ll do my best but truthfully there are small details that I add that even I forget. So I’m sorry 🙏 I took a look at it again. And again I have to apologize cause I’m gonna run through the whole scene to kind of break it down for myself if that makes sense 😂 so some of this you’ll probably be like ‘well duh, Kay. I noticed that the first time I read it.’

So- He’s already attracted to her obviously from the way he got mad that she was trying to kiss him when she commented about his wet hair outside. And I know it’s cliche but the fact she has no idea who he is and disregards him so easily is appealing to him. But it didn’t hit him that she actually cared about him to an extent until she said she was staying in the living room with him to make sure he’s okay. This girl that he’s been arguing with constantly that he thought truly hated him, was laying on a floor to make sure he slept peacefully and would wake up. The appreciation is somewhat obvious to her when he actually calls her Kazuha. But I tried to make it clear throughout this part here- that even though Heiji is somewhat delirious, he’s being very open about how he feels about her. It’s not love but he recognizes that he likes this girl. Then she wakes up and it’s to him already watching her. So Kazuha of course has no idea for how long but it’s enough for Heiji to have the realization that she stayed with him the whole night. On a floor. He wants an explanation. Again this girl treats him as a disdain to be around. It’s circling back to that realization that clearly this girl doesn’t hate him as much as she says. But when she goes to check him for a fever again, he doesn’t allow her. Cause now that he’s more aware, he’s kind of got his usual defense up. Of what is this girls actual intention. He doesn’t understand. He wants her to tell him bluntly. And then she says she was worried. But that doesn’t sit well with him because why is she worried? She shouldn’t be if he’s as painful to be around as she’s told him. And Kazuha backs down. She gets bashful and doesn’t say what he wants. And he’s frustrated because to him- he’s been very obvious. He’s called her a yeti- yes. But mostly because to him she is so far from that that the description is laughable. He’s called her beautiful. He got angry when she didn’t kiss him. He’s being so obvious and Kazuha is not revealing anything. She won’t even comment on what he said which is that she’s beautiful. Which could mean she’s embarrassed or she really doesn’t care all that much and was just being a good person watching over him. It makes him feel rejected. He feels like he got shut down.

Sorry for the long and drawn out explanation. Again, I had ti break it down for myself as I read it to sort of remember. I hope this helps answer the question rather than give you more! But I’m always open to talking about it 💜 and you know what, whatever way you wanna interpret it is good too. I left it pretty open ended with things like that and the ending too cause I was never sure if I’d be able to come back and add something to it or elaborate. So recently I've been growing kind of disillusioned with the larger wrestling community 'cause I tend to just focus on the stories and characters within, less on the meta-narrative (although sometimes I do). And it feels like a frequently rallying cry is "THEY DON'T DO WHAT THE FANS WANT, WHICH IS WHY ROMAN REIGNS KEEPS GETTING BOOED!" And it feels frustrating because while I understand some complaints, it also feels like they'd boo Roman no matter WHAT at this point. Any thoughts on this?

I definitely understand your frustration! It’s always annoying when it feels like people are letting their negativity distract them from the cool stuff that’s happening right in front of them!

I think there will always be some people who boo Roman no matter what WWE does with him (kind of like John Cena)? Like it started as a way to express frustration with booking (and sometimes that’s still what it’s about for sure), but it’s also just A Thing now, like chanting ECW when Rhino is in the ring. Half the people who chant that have never seen ECW, but it’s A Thing so they do it. I do think the booking can still be involved tho? In the months before mania I really felt like there had been a shift in the reaction to Roman, but then mania was so bad and we’re back where we started.

I was thinking about it and what I think would help, both with managing the boo-ers, and making my life as a non-boo-er easier, is if WWE let Roman interact with the audience in a way that acknowledges the mixed response during promos?

Cause okay, the crowd is one of the characters in any wrestling story, so a crowd at a wrestling show is a performer in a play, but they don’t know their lines and they don’t know what will happen in the play. and part of wrestling is getting that the crowd to feel what they need to feel to say the lines that were written for them in the play.

And when part of the crowd recognizes what their lines are but hates them and decides to do the opposite it creates this discord for those watching at home where suddenly these two characters who are supposed to be friends are on stage but one of the actors is yelling and throwing things, and the other actor is still reading their lines about how they’re such great friends like nothing is happening!

Roman acknowledges the crowd’s response sometimes and I always really like it, because it incorporates the audience’s reaction into the story and the character, and I think it also makes the booing part of the audience feel seen in a way that’s important? (i highly rec mithen’s essay of seeing and being seen in professional wrestling)

as opposed to like, when Roman came out and apologized for the greatest rumble fiasco but the audience had already turned so it just made Roman’s promo sound fucking insane and made the crowd even angrier because they felt railroaded.

Tess and I were talking about this and she said a good thing: “i feel like even the complaints that are worded “THEY DON’T WRITE WHAT THE FANS WANT” are really saying “WE BOO WHATEVER THE WRITING IS BECAUSE WE FEEL IGNORED””

But that’s a difficult needle to thread…including the whole crowd without letting them take over, letting the boo-ers feel seen without ignoring the cheer-ers...
