I think some queer people struggle to realize not everyone is public with their identity like I've had remind my irl queer friends so many times not to tell people about my identity without my permission

It never fails to amaze me that week after week, the table that I busted for copying off each other keeps writing down the same ideas as each other (in their own words this time, at least), but. Like. The ideas are still wrong, so they're still getting mad points off. Like who in that group is so bad at science and yet so confident that they're all getting pulled off track, week after week?

(props to the one girl at that table who didn't copy (or let others copy her) and manages to ignore whatever wildly incorrect shit the others are flinging around, because I can't imagine that that's easy)

So is Lexa a psychopath or is she just bored and wants meaning to her life

She is a rich girl who believes her money and status can protect her from anything. But she also bored. I wouldn't say its about "meaning" because Lexa has no sense of being empty and her life being meaningless. If anything she finds her life to be worth much more than most.

For her, it's about wanting to experience the thrill of killing someone. She has no history of violence, just a lack of care for anyone who might be "below" her. She's used to getting her way.

Finn does do something - still not clear what - that kind of triggers Lexa to decide he is the one she wants to kill. Like I said, he is an asshole but definitely not "deserves to be dead" type of asshole. But for Lexa, annoying her is crime enough. She definitely lacks empathy for others, even her love and empathy for Clarke only starts to grow when it becomes clear to her that Clarke is ready to worship the ground she walks on. And up until Lexa starts viewing Clarke has an extension of herself, if she was to be collateral damage, Lexa would be alright with it. But when she falls in love with Clarke fully, she'd kill anyone who she believes might even look at Clarke wrong.

Legit question being asked as I try to get my hair ready for the night: for those who went to college, is like college bullies a thing (in the US, I presume)?

Cause I see so many college bully fanfic going around (mostly in the jjk fandom) and I swear to you, in my college that wasn't really a thing, most people were just trying to survive. Sure some people were assholes, in special the more rich and elitist students, but bullies like actual high-school bullying? Nah, I saw something like this once and it wasn't one bully, it was most of the class trying to fuck with one rich annoying kid. And I say kid as in first year, some of the class were like 17.

So, is the thing in these fics like real or college as imagine by people who haven't yet gotten to college? Cause maybe it's just cause the college experience here is just too different.

What MBTI personality do you think Garth has?

Uhhh oh gosh,, making me flashback to college psychology class here... Full disclaimer that I'm not a big fan of MBTI types and thus forgot almost everything I ever learned about it. I needed to go and look all of this up 😔

Garth also just so happens to be a character that lays in the middle of a lot of spectrums, so it's very difficult to reduce him down to a personality test type (as it is with every nuanced person-- which is everyone!)

But I'll do my best for you, anon!

Extroverted: Garth is definitely on the quieter/shyer side, but I don't think he's an introvert. He enjoys being around people and really only seems to self isolate when shit has REALLY hit the fan. As a matter of fact, he's dragged Arthur back into interacting with people plenty of times. I don't think he's a "big groups, big parties" kind of extrovert, but I do think he consistently wants to be around a few close people that he loves and trusts.

INtuition: Realistically, Garth does a little bit of both sensing/intuition, and it really depends on what the situation is for how he'll approach something. But I do feel like Garth is typically pretty good at approaching something with future consequences in mind and drawing conclusions from the information presented rather than rigidly sticking to facts only.

Feeling: Again, Garth is a little bit of both. We've seen him approach things very logically before. But at the same time, I do feel as though he operates more from his feelings than not. He's a great thinker, but his heart is always behind it.

Perceiving: Garth has rarely had much structure or stability in his life and has needed to be continually adaptive to get by. I think he'd love if he got to have more structure (and has sometimes been the one to put it into place where others wouldn't), but at a base-line I don't think Garth requires structure to be okay.

Tens of thousands of public service workers are getting student loan relief from President Biden.

The Republican Supreme Court blocked Biden's broad effort to forgive onerous student loans. But the administration has found legal ways to reduce or eliminate student debt for specific segments of those saddled with such debts. This week's announcement is part of that effort.

President Joe Biden announced another round of student loan debt forgiveness Thursday, totaling $5.8 billion for nearly 78,000 public-sector workers, and will be sending congratulatory emails to those borrowers next week. Additionally, 380,000 borrowers who may be eligible for debt relief within the next one or two years will also be getting emails from Biden with a message that says “keep it up!” “If you continue your career in public service, you’re on track to get your eligible student loans forgiven in less than two years through Public Service Loan Forgiveness,” an example email provided by the White House reads. Under the forgiveness program, known as PSLF, qualifying borrowers – like teachers, social workers, some nurses and doctors, and government lawyers – are eligible for student debt cancellation after making 10 years of monthly payments.

Republicans like Donald Trump are against debt forgiveness. Of course Trump is a nepo baby who got daddy to pay for everything including (probably) bribing admissions officers and paying others to do his course work for him.

Trump's attendance at Penn has been a source of controversy. The university would probably like him to just go away.

Penn rejects calls from Wharton professors to investigate Trump's SAT cheating allegations

Prominent Philadelphia lawyer Stephen Sheller also penned a letter to Gutmann and Board of Trustees Chair David Cohen requesting an investigation into Trump’s admission into Penn. Sheller, a 1960 College graduate and 1963 Penn Law graduate, did not receive a response. Both requests, written a week apart in July, center around a claim made by the president’s niece Mary Trump in her tell-all book “Too Much and Never Enough.” She wrote that Trump paid another person, named as Joe Shapiro, to take his pre-collegiate exam, the SAT, on his behalf — a score he later used when transferring from Fordham University to the Wharton School in 1966. The allegations resurfaced Saturday night when Mary Trump provided secretly recorded audio to the Washington Post which featured the president’s sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, saying Trump cheated on the SAT. Mary Trump sent the audio excerpts, recorded in 2018 and 2019, to the Post in response to a question asking how she knew Trump had someone take his SAT for him.

For filthy rich crooks, a degree is of little academic value. It's more like a badge for them to show off. They would like to discourage others from being able to say that they are in some way their equals.
