some asks - sorry some of these are kind of old. I only get around to answering stuff once in a blue moon.

I do not! Nothing against it but I just don’t personally enjoy the process so I don’t use it in my personal work. Too much transforming and filtering.. too little actual drawing. I have however used it for professional work and sometimes I will sketch things individually and collage them together to make it easier for me to work depending on the scale. But yeah, no photobashing normally.

Thank you! (post in reference) I didn’t use any perspective grids for that drawing but occasionally for bigger pieces that require a stronger adherence to perspective I’ll use the Perspective Tools extension by Sergey Kritsky which is ABSOULTELY worth the price here on gumroad if you’re a photoshop-user - makes grids very easy to set up. You can actually see some of the grids in my process work if you’re looking for it lol

I used to be such a square abt it like “bluh perspective is just a bunch of lines i dont need a tool to do it for me like a DUMB BABY. I can just draw the grids myself and itll be good enough!!! :\” dont be like that LOL, I started using perspective tools for work last year and ported it over to my personal work so damn fast its like one of the best artistic decisions ive made. If you can make less work for yourself, PLEASE make less work for yourself.

You’re probably done by the game by now given how old this ask is but I’m flattered my art got you to play!! And I’m glad you love Akechi though I’m curious to know if your feelings on him have changed since sending this LOL. His latter act character stuff is one of those things that can really turn an opinion one way or another.

I will probably draw naruto again because like every 4 years of my life I go through a naruto phase. I have drawn dangan ronpa before many many years ago and I gotta say the only time I will ever draw it again will be if I’m commissioned to lol...Nothing against it personally, it’s just not really my thing. Kiritetsu+Colossus.... I would but honestly I don’t even know what I’d draw, I feel like I covered it with that one drawing. But if you’ve got an idea... you can always commission me!!! And I’d be happy to.

Uhhhh they’re good! I like them! Yusuke’s character arc is maybe like my favorite or second favorite in the game and I love Ryuji first and foremost for max mittlemans voice acting and secondly because he is just so...so much better than P4 Yosuke who I truly could not stand.

I’m not big on Mishima but I think he’s an incredibly well written depiction of like. that dude in class who you didn’t really mean to talk to but ended up talking to and now its a little weird. I really like that event where you run into shinya while hanging out with mishima and shinyas like “whos this your friend” and ren is like “no, king, hes no one” LOL this is mostly because I just really like shinya.

ships.... I like yusuke/ryuji a lot, just aesthetically and personality wise its an interesting dynamic. I like ryuji/ann bc theyre good friends. I like ann/yusuke if I close my eyes to all the early plot stuff and just pretend theyre like.....fujiko and goemon from lupin III LMAO. ryuji/makoto? kinda woke?? I mean I feel lesbian makoto deep in my bones but also their showtime opened my eyes a lil. I think they could bond over action movies. mishima/protag is kind of fun in like a sad pathetic way.. I’m a little interested in mishima/JOKER actually bc i like identity porn plotlines lol.

That honestly depends on a lot of factors - which tools I’m using, how many characters there are in the drawing/if it’s full body or not, how used to drawing the character I am, how big is the canvas, if I already have a clear idea of what I mean to draw or not, how precise I want to be with lines and stuff.

That Yuuto sketch I posted yesterday took me about 40 minutes I think, and over half of it was spent trying to figure out how I was supposed to draw him since it was the first time I drew him - the tools I used are the ones I use when I want to be fast and don’t care about being sloppy. A small random Kirishima bust properly lined and colored could take me five minutes to sketch and line and as many to color on a good day, cause I’ve drawn him so many times by now I don’t even have to think to draw him. Deku, on the other hand, can take me an hour even just to sketch, I can’t seem to grasp how I’m supposed to draw him at all.

Sorry, it really depends on a lot of things, I can’t give a proper answer to this :(

Lets Set Fire To This City

AU Prompt: Your looking throught my sketch book, and im a deranged artist. I promise im not insane. [Found here on Tumblr]

Ship: Destiel

Synopsis: Castiel Novak was a freshman in college, moving to a new place with a full ride in an attempt to leave all his struggles behind. The day he moved in to his dorm room in NYC, he heard about a coffee shop near by. From then on, he would go there every day after classes and before work to get a cup, and to work on some art. One day, a new comer walks into Bobbys Cafe, and changes Castiels life. Together Castiel and Dean tear up the city, and leave behind one hell of a story behind.

Chapter 2

Dormroom Equals Weird Roommate

Castiel drove for eight hours to get to The University of Hansen in New York. His GPS lead him through traffic before he finally arrived on grounds. He followed the signs for Hayden to find his dorm. He parked out front of the building, the cement was dusted with moss, and all the windows had peeling yellow paint on the sills. Castiel sighed, and grabbed his bag before getting out of his car. He locked it before walked up the steps, and through the door. He went up to a large wooden desk where a older lady sat. She had red shot cut hair, and large yellow glasses. Her cherry red lipstick matched her nails and her blouse.

"Here to move in?" She asked, and looked up at him from her magazine.

"Uh yes," He said and shifted the strap on his shoulder awkwardly.

"Name?" She asked and looked down at the papers on her desk.

"Novak, Castiel," he replied and started to look around. the lounge was dimly lit, and there were over stuffed couches of many colors. In the center of the room was a large coffee table with a coaster sitting on it.

"Alright, you're on the top floor, room number 85, Your roommates already here," she said to him. He moved his attention back at her to see a key swinging from her extended hand.

"Don't lose this, we won't make you another. If you want another, you pay for it," she said with a hint of attitude. Castiel nodded and took the key. "Thank you," he replied and started towards his room.

Castiel got into an older elevator that faintly smelled of booze, and pressed the button to the fourth floor. As he started to move upward, he pulled out his phone. There was a message from his mother, it read

'Hello Castiel, I saw you've moved out. Just don't forget about us ok? We're still your parents.'

Anger started to flare up in Castiel, he didn't need this right now. He locked his phone and pushed it back into his pocket. The elevator slowly climbed to a hult, and the doors slid open. Castiel walked out, to see a long corridor with tiled floor. He started to walk down the halls., Next to each door was a number made of wood. Castiel took a deep breath, as he approached his room. He looked up at the wooden 85, then knocked on the door. He heard movement from inside, then the door swung open.

"Oh you're finally here!" A short guy with brown hair exclaimed. Castiel smiled before speaking,

"Yeah. I'm Castiel Novak."

"Nice to meet you Castiel, I'm Chuck Shurley," his roommate said and held out a hand for the new comer to shake.

"So I’m guessing you need a hand moving things up?" Chuck asked when he pulled away. Castiel nodded, “That would be great.” Chuck turned away and went into the room.

"Just gotta get my shoes," He said. Castiel stepped forward and looked around.. To the right of the door were two nice sized wardrobes tucked back in a section of the wall. Across from the door was a naked twin sized bed that had been lifted off of the ground, leaving plenty of space underneath to put things. To the left of the bed was a empty worn out black desk, a window sat in front of it. to the left of the desk was a small fridge. Chucks side of the room had already been filled. His brown desk sat against the wall across from the wardrobes. It was covered with papers, and various books sat in piles on the floor near by. The wall next to the door, all the away to the corner where the mini fridge sat was covered in tons of papers. Red string attached most of them.

"Ill explain that later, let's get you moved in first," Chuck said as he stood after he putting on his shoes. Castiel nodded, still eyeing the room. Chuck walked out and he soon followed.They walked silently to the elevator, once inside Chuck spoke,.

"So since we're going to be hanging out with each other for awhile, I should tell you a little about myself. I'm major in English writing. So I spend a lot of time at Bobby's writing on my laptop." Castiel turned to look at him.

"Bobby's?" he asked.

"Uh yeah. It's a cafe near here. They have the best food and coffee, and great wifi," Chuck explained. The elevator dinged and they exited. Castiel smiled, "That's cool. I wanted to find a place outside of my dorm room to draw."

They walked through the lounge and out to his car.

"I major in Art. Hence the drawing," Castiel followed up with. He unlocked his car and popped the trunk. The inside was packed tightly with boxes. Castiel smiled at Chuck, "Thanks for helping."

"No problem, we're just lucky that there isn't a rush of everyone moving in." They started pulling out the boxes and stacking them in their arms. After the fourth trip, they were finally done with the trunk. Castiel opened the side door and pulled out two canvases. He tucked them under his arms, and turned to get past Chuck. His roommate grabbed the last two boxes, and followed after him.

"You made those two?" Chuck asked gesturing to the pieces once they got into the elevator. Castiel looked down at them, "Uh yeah. One of them is how I got a free ride for college."

"Really? That’s awesome. Can I take a look when we get to the room?" He asked.

"Sure," Castiel replied. The elevator beeped, and the door opened. They walked out and went back to room 85. Castiel opened the door and walked inside, Chuck followed and leaned against the door to close it. Castiel sat the canvases down on the bed, and turned to look at all the boxes. Chuck moved past him to look at the art.

On the smaller canvas, there was an angel drawn with hard lines and dark colors. She sat on a tomb stone and her head was tilted back, her white dress was torn. She looked like she had given up, that there was nothing left for her. The white wings slumped against the ground on either side of her. On the larger canvas was something amazing. There the angel was again, but this time she was standing, blood red flames surrounding her, her white dress looked like it was floating, and her eyes were black and piercing. She held out a hand, and in it was a white rose about to fall. Her wings were behind her, her expression was dangerous. Chuck marveled at the work. He turned away and spoke,

"Ive seen a photo of this one. Its beautiful." Castiel turned to look at him.

"Thanks," he said with a easy smile. He then turned to look at the walls. "So what's up with all of this?" He asked.

Chuck smiled and went to sit down on his own bed.

"Well, I'm writing a book. And I do best with visuals when it comes to connections. So I pin every idea I have to the wall. With that, let me tell you some odd things that I do because of this book. Roommates should always tell each other about the worst things they do right?" Castiel nodded.

"Well after I write a bit, I read it back out loud, then have self conversations about what's going on. I also rarely sleep because I always get my best ideas when the sun it down. I also get really excited about the plot and yell," Chuck explained.

Castiel grinned, knowing this was going to be the beginning of a interesting friendship, and one hell of a school year.
