Will you jump on another project like into the badlands? If so why, if not also why?

Hi! Good question, I genuinely haven't found any tv series that gets me as excited as ITB did. It really ticked all my boxes! The characters, use of traditional martial arts, the incredible costumes, the set design and stunning locations... (i really do want to go back to Ireland one day..)

But, fun fact: since I managed to get my hands on a few props from the actual show, I'm thinking about creating a project myself with roughly, hopefully, the same vibe/atmosphere as the show. Will probably post updates if I really decide to do this :)

After watching John Wick series all week I got some ideas to revamp a character for In the Black who initially I wrote as a note but now want to do more with.

He is an Arkat- A member of an order of Assassins that had been pretty much destroyed by the end of the Great War. These Assassins followed old laws for their god Kalclok that only those who create life may take it. Which typically made it an order of warrior mothers. Although transmen and non-binary individuals would also be allowed to join as it didn't matter what you identified as, only that you had given birth.

Some time during the war, he lost his eyesight. I'm thinking it may have been during a fight with one of his marks. Still working that out. So now he's a blind Assassin with a 7yo daughter whom he takes with him as he travels for a mark because it wouldn't be safe to leave her in town with his family as the temple to the order has fallen and none of them are trained fighters.

So his daughter usually hangs out in their hotel room and colors with crayons while waiting for dad to come home. She's probably trained in a little self-defense.

What's next?

So you might have noticed that I have gone a little quiet in regards of games/reading/publishing stuff that hasn't been pre-written for months in advance lately.

That is because I've been a little busy bee behind the scenes and there are some big, big, big projects waiting in the pipelines I've been literally dying to share with you for months now, yay!

June - In the Balance

Over the course of June I will publish a mini-series called In the Balance, which is a collection of short stories dealing with Lizzie's 6th year at Hogwarts. There are five chapters to be published, which will go live every Tuesday for the whole month. Most of these chapters are wrapping up things that didn't make it into the final version of An Art of Balance, or headcanons I wanted to write out. They are also setting the course for a few themes for an even bigger project because...

July - A Search for Balance

After having this fic planned for more than a year and being intercepted by the Rockstar AU (rude, really), the second installment of the Balance series, aka the sequel to an Art of Balance, is coming along nicely. So nicely, in fact, that the first of its six parts will be published over the course of July and August. As of now, Part 1 consists of 12 chapters and they will go live every Tuesday and Saturday.

Omg thank you so much for sharing the endings of Get You In & You Only Live Twice! That was really nice and I wasn’t expecting it. I know a lot of authors might not want to say in case they ever decide to get back to finishing their stories, so I really thought I was taking a shot at the dark when I asked.

I’m one of those people that actually like spoilers (can’t handle suspense and it helps me cope/prepare for the end) so I’m extra excited to read them should you ever come back.

My dumb ass actually read Get You In before I read Into the Blood and it was a happy mistake since it gave me so many “aha” moments and a deeper appreciation for Juice and Olivia’s old relationship when I read Into the Blood. I ended up rereading Get You In afterwards and I find myself picturing Juice losing his shit when Olivia broke up with him in college. As for the ending now… That’s batshit crazy that Olivia has a kid haha I can’t even begin to imagine her trying to cook something besides grilled cheese for that kid. Thank god for Juice, who was practically born to be a mother. I wonder why the club wanted Olivia dead. Oof, that’s gotta be tough for Jax considering their childhood together and then to find out it was Opie instead?! Phewwww! Btw thank you so much for sparing Donna from the life. She deserved better! I’m a little sad for Opie but I mean… I’m team Juice so 😬.

As for You Only Live Twice, I audibly gasped at the mole part. I can’t believe you’re killing off a character though!!! Please don’t say Juice or Olivia!!! Or on second thought, please do because with the way you write, I know you’ll make it incredibly sad but incredibly beautiful too and it’ll be part of the journey in your writing.

Sorry for my scattered thoughts. I just really liked the fics and it’s what made me get a tumble page just so I could send you my asks! Also figured you stopped going on your ao3 page but you seemed kinda active here on tumblr so here I am almost ten years later lol. I only started watching SOA out of boredom during the tail end of the pandemic and found your fic soon after.

Honestly, I don’t mind sharing because it HAS been so long and because im not sure I’ll finish, esp Get You In :/ I know how frustrating something unfinished is, so it’s good. Plus remembering my old plot ideas makes me wanna write!

I actually am still on ao3! I haven’t written anything in a few months, but these days I write for Criminal Minds and a big epic re-write of The Stand that I need to finish. 😬 I haven’t written for SoA since just after the show ended, but here you can find a fic my bestie and I co-wrote that’s like “if Olivia were canon, after Juice died.”

As for why the club wanted to kill Olivia: just like in canon, they thought she ratted when Stahl picked her up. In my version, they get her and not Opie, but because they know Olivia has a turbulent history with the club, they think she’s eager to rat.

Hmmm actually I think it would be kinda neat to read the fics in reverse order. Like you said, it would fill in the blanks on things i allude to in GYI and make you really understand what Juice and Olivia mean to each other.

Have you read Come With me Tonight? That’s the original Juice/Olivia fic. And it’s finished, as is its (crack-ish) sequel, Under My Skin. Honestly the sequel isn’t entirely “canon” (my personal canon) because it’s SUCH crack, but it’s still fun.

BALIPORTALNEWS.COM, BADUNG - Kesetaraan gender yang telah disadari para wanita membuat mereka mengambil peran dalam perekonomian keluarga. Dampaknya, kesibukan wanita ketika menjadi ibu kerap membuat anak bayinya tak mendapatkan ASI yang cukup. Akibatnya, data menunjukkan 30,9 persen ibu pekerja ternyata memiliki masalah dengan anaknya yaitu stunting karena keterbatasan waktu memberikan ASI. Hal ini memantik Zakaria Khori Hermawan (21) dkk dari Universitas Institut Teknologi Bandung menciptakan Kinasih. Kinasih adalah jasa pasteurisasi ASI menjadikannya dalam bentuk bubuk untuk penggunaan pribadi. Dengan proses yang canggih, Mengasihi memastikan kekayaan nutrisi ASI terpelihara dengan tingkat retensi 97%, sekaligus menjaga antibodi, sifat penambah kekebalan tubuh, dan enzim Lipase yang penting. “Sebenarnya kami menyasar ke ibu pekerja karena ibu pekerja 30,9 persennya, ternyata memiliki anak stunting karena keterbatasan waktu mereka untuk memberikan ASI. Sebenarnya dengan metode khusus, kita bisa mengubah 4 liter ASI menjadi 400 gram hanya dengan waktu 50 jam per mesin,” ungkapnya. Untuk dapat mengolah ASI dalam bentuk cair ke dalam bentuk bubuk, ia bekerjasama dengan laboratorium Sekolah Farmasi di ITB. “Jadi memang riset bareng mengenai nutrisinya bagaimana, kan yang paling penting adalah kualitas dari ASI bagaimana, kandungan antibodinya dan bakteri yang baik bagaimana,” ujarnya. Setelah inovasinya tersebut dicobakan di Puskesmas, prevalensi ASI naik. Sehingga ia optimis produk ciptaanya dapat diterima pasar. Untuk jasa pengolahan ASI tersebut per liter Rp37.500. Dengan masih bergabungnya pembuatan ASI bubuk di Lab Farmasi ITB, ia berharap ke depan dapat memiliki lab sendiri karena saat ini ia telah memiliki klien 15-18 ibu. Ibu- ibu tersebut rutin menggunakan jasanya sehingga ia membutuhkan investasi mulai dari Rp100 juta agar dapat membangun mimpinya. Beruntung dari ajang Pertamuda yang pertama kali ia ikuti tersebut, mampu membawanya memperoleh pendanaan pertamanya. “Pertamuda Seed and Scale 2023 ini memang wadah yang proper banget, karena kita di treat secara professional dan mengerti cara treat, dan mereka memahami kebutuhan young entrepreneur seperti kami bahkan difasilitasi juga untuk business matching, bertemu calon investor,” ungkapnya. Ia berharap, lewat inovasi ini ada tujuan besar yang dapat dicapai yaitu menekan stunting dan meningkatkan pemberian ASI eksklusif.
