In the thick silence of the spacious den, Max sat on the couch with his father, Hank, fidgeting with his fingers as Hank flipped through a magazine.

"Dad, I've been thinking.” Max awkwardly began, choking on his own saliva, "What other powers do I have? You know, like… other than lifting stuff with my mind, and setting things on fire?”

Hank looked up from his magazine, his face riddled with guilt. He’d been keeping a secret from Max for far too long… and, hearing the heaviness in his son’s voice, he knew that it was finally time to come clean. Preparing to rip off the band-aid, he took a deep breath and looked into Max's eyes.

"Max.” He sighed. “You do have… another power. Um… your mother and I didn’t think it would ever come up again, but I can’t do this anymore. I can’t lie to you. Your secret power is… the ability to get pregnant, gestate a very powerful life-force inside of you, and give birth to super-babies at a highly accelerated rate."

Max's eyes widened in surprise. "Wait, what? Are you serious?"

Feeling a huge weight lift from his shoulders, Hank nodded solemnly. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, this time. It's just... I know it's not the type of power you'd expect, and I was worried about how you'd react again. I didn't know how to tell you, Max. Your mother and I thought that it would be best if we just kept it a secret."

Max processed the revelation fairly quickly, as though it was something that he’d already experienced in a series of strange dreams. "So, you're saying I can, like, impregnate myself… and progress through a whole pregnancy in only a few minutes?"

Hank nodded again. "Yes. That’s it. Actually, you've had several babies before… and they’re all super-ing around, somewhere out there… but we had your memories wiped, so that you wouldn't remember the experiences.”

A mix of disappointment and intrigue clouding his thoughts, Max decided to put his unique ability to the test. He had always wondered what his hidden ability was… truly… and, while his father’s answer might not be what he had imagined, it was undeniably fascinating. With a mischievous grin, he couldn't resist the urge to impregnate himself on the spot, curious to witness the rapid transformation firsthand. He focused, feeling a surge of energy coursing through his veins. Within moments, his belly began to expand, swelling with life.

'I can feel it, Dad!” Max exclaimed, his voice filled with excitement. "I can feel the baby growing inside of me! Woah!”

Hank watched his son, realizing the impact this revelation had on him. He felt a pang of remorse for keeping Max in the dark for so long.

Max's disappointment transformed into a sense of pride. He may not have had the traditional powers of a superhero, or the great adoration and respect from the public that his father had, but he did possess the miraculous ability to bring life into the world in a way no one else could. And in his eyes, that was pretty cool.

"Max, I know it might sound strange, but I need you to understand that your power isn’t as useless, or frivolous as it may seem.” Hank explained as his son’s face beamed, his tone gentle. "If the Thundermans ever find themselves needing to recruit an army, you would be the guy for the job."

Max's eyes widened in realization. "You mean, I could create an entire army in a matter of minutes? Just by impregnating myself?"

“Exactly! Now, go to your room and give birth to that baby. If this time is anything like the last, your contractions are gonna start soon. Oh, and bring the kid back down here when you’re done. I think we’ll let you keep this one.”
