"Who did this to you..?"
(CRASHES INTO PART TWO OF "I can't")
Hi!
Okay well I kinda lied that I would write the part two of "I can't" in a day but it took me three days so i apologise for making everyone who read part 1 and were waiting for part two!
I had exams going on and I'm finally free!!
---------------main story..----------------
Summary : Yanqing is found the next morning of the incident, In an abandoned street of the Aurum alley, It's time for jing yuan to find out what happened to Yanqing and jing yuan's about to kill, torture that bastard and he is planning too.
--------------------------------------------
Yanqing was never this late at coming home and reporting back to jing yuan, Well, Yanqing was always late at coming home, But it was different.
-he wasn't home at all.
It was only until morning that Jing yuan realised that Yanqing hasn't came home yet, Which obviously, Got jing yuan worried, Perhaps he's with dealing with mara-struck? Or already at the training grounds?.
--no, Yanqing would have never woken up before jing yuan, It's unlikely for him to do that.
It's probably around the time for Noon before jing yuan starts slightly panicking as he hasn't seen yanqing in such a while already, Eversince the patrol started last evening, He hasn't been home since. Perhaps he could ask madam Fu or the helm master about yanqing's whereabouts but he already knew their answer would surely be no.
There's loud knocking on the door, It's probably the knights.
And yes it was the knights, Just as jing yuan thought, Why were they here?, That's when the bad news comes in when one cloud knight finally speaks.
"General, There's something you need to see." That cloud knight respectfully speaks, His head bowed down. "It's about lieutenant yanqing." And that's where jing yuan eyes widened at the mention of his (son) retainer.
"Please, Go on." Jing yuan said, Trying his best at remaining calm, But he couldnt.
That's probably when the other cloud knight tells him, Yanqing was found in some dark abandoned street of the Aurum alley, And that's what Sushang had reported in earlier.
Now jing yuan was worried, Way worried about his retainer, he got up from his seat, As he put his own pen down in which he was signing his paperwork with.
"We'll need to go there immediately, Send a medical party there immediately, You may be dismissed." Jing yuan had said that in an authoritative tone, He was going to kill that bastard who did that horrendous thing to yanqing when he finds out who he is, He's in great trouble.
---------TIMESKIP...--------
"Tch, Can't take the whole thing in one go and had to pass out that early?." That's cloud knight said, That bastard who tried to Do the Ungodly with Yanqing, Yanqing was practically crying and aswell as shaking as he tried to cover his half naked body.
Some bruises and scars were around his hands and back, Few on his legs, His tears soaking into the ground and his clothes, Yanqing's Vision was blurry, And with pouring rain it made it all worse.
Yanqing felt like he's a worthless child who doesn't deserve happiness, The way he's been traumatized is Ungodly, There were bodily fluids, and blood was there, Which could've made Yanqing vomit, Blood was gushing out from the bruise given by that bastard, Yanqing as going to going to pass out soon because of the pressure.
Yanqing's tears didn't come to a stop as he laid there, Motionless, He was unsure of what to do, He wanted to try and get up, But that man who did this to him had him pinned down by his foot on Yanqing's stomach, It was sure that the guy would leave a few more bruises on him before feeling satisfied .
There was a loud scream coming out of yanqing's dry throat when that bastard punched Yanqing on the stomach, Yanqing was tightly gripping on his own stomach, Trying so hard not to cry as he looked at that guy.
And that scream alerted The other cloud knights who were trying to find Yanqing by Jing yuan's order.
"shit." That bastard cursed as he ran away not to be seen by the cloud knights as he put on his knight uniform and that bastard ran away, Leaving Yanqing fully finished and traumatized.
And that's where Jing yuan found Yanqing as he followed the shout.
But Jing yuan immediately came to an abrupt stop when he saw Yanqing.
Covered in bruises, His hair messed up badly, Blood almost everywhere, Yanqing's tear-soaked face as yanqing looked at him, Jing yuan sweared to Aeons that he wouldn't vomit, And then there was a dry, Crying voice coming out of Yanqing.
"G-general?.." That was the only thing yanqing said, Before he Passed out into his exhaustion.
"Yanqing!." Jing yuan couldn't think of this, This was the last thing he wanted to imagine to happen to yanqing, He quickly rushed to the boy, He removed the hair coming on his eyes.
Thank Aeons that boy had just passed out, Or there could be worse casualties than that.
"Knights!, we found him!, Get him back to the Medical institution." Jing yuan ordered as he lifted up Yanqing in his arms.
That boy barely weighed alot, He was fit and all, Although he doesn't eat alot and jing yuan who's knows how many times he has scolded him to eat and not skip his meals.
TIMESKIP
Anger was already boiling inside Jing yuan as he watched Yanqing being operated by the Alchemy commission's healer Lady, Bailu.
The question on jing yuan's head was
'Who and why did they do this to him?.'
Jing yuan litterally would litterally kill the person and make sure they go even worse in the shackling prison, Maybe Jing yuan would but the balls of the guy and choke him with his own hands and feed the remains of the bastard to Mimi.
But for now, He just had to be there for Yanqing.
Slowly, Yanqing opens his eyes, He doesn't seem scared, But more relieved as he's out of that bastard's grasp, He doesn't even realise that Bailu's talking to him.
"heyyy!! Don't ignore me!." Bailu just pouts, As she stared at Yanqing, Yanqing looks at her.
"sorry.." Yanqing sighs.
"Are you okay?." Bailu asks
"...." Yanqing isn't sure how to respond, He doesn't want to worry Bailu, So he simply states "yea, Much better than before." Yanqing just puts on a small smile, Before staring at his hand again.
"Yanqing." there was the same familiar voice, Jing yuan, His eyes were softer, As he say down beside yanqing's bed.
yanqing has the feeling to cry as he say his (father) General, He wanted to tell what that bastard did to him.
"who.. did this to you?." Jing yuan said, As he held yanqing's other hand, Yanqing gulped and looked down, Not wanting to show his tears.
"I-im sorry General, I-i didn't know how to stop him, I know, I'm too weak." Yanqing admitted as tears feel down his eyes.
Jing yuan couldn't believe what yanqing just said to him, Yanqing was never weak, He is a child, A child with ambition to be the best, But that bastard who did this to him, Needed to be punished In the worst way possible, That guy tried to take Advantage of a Child, A FREAKING 14 YEAR OLD.
"Oh yanqing.." Jing yuan sighed, As he pulled the blonde boy into a hug, "it's not your fault and it was never your fault, you're still 14, I should also be the one to blame here to sending you with that cloud knight." Jing yuan said, As yanqing cried into his arms. "Who did this to you?." Jing yuan asked, As yanqing let out a voice. "A cloud knight named.... Xiun."(Yes I made up a name.)
Now jing yuan was clearly angry and wanted to punish that bitch called Xiun, He sweared if he sees Xiun, He will murder him alive and feed his remains to Mimi, Who would be very happy to Eat the meat.
But for now
He's happy that Yanqing's alright, He needs to recover, Mentally and physically.
-------END--------
Note : OMG MY HANDS ARE ACHING LITTERALLY FOR WRITING THIS FOR 3 HOURS STRAIGHT AND I HAVEN'T EATEN ANYTHING YET
I hope you enjoyed this part!! Let me know if you want an additional part of Jing yuan ruthlessly murdering that Bastard to did that to Yanqing!!
Sorry for any grammer mistakes and all, I hope you guys liked it! (Btw part 1 is in my Blog, Go read that before you read this!!!)

yanqing abundance + origin thoughts/theory
so, i was doing whatever and a thought came to me (story spoilers also there's a lot of text)
i took a look around the loufu and realized something; all of the people had essentially every hair color except blonde. the only exceptions are people not native to the loufu, such as luocha.
Tumblr media
yk. the one who happens to be ON THE PATH OF ABUNDANCE
and who else has blonde hair?
YANQING.
Tumblr media
yanqing's origins are relatively unknown, all we know is that jing yuan found him somewhere and decided to take him in for whatever reason. in yanqing's character story, it says that it's recorded in the military annals of the cloud knights how jing yuan discovered him, but not where.
Tumblr media
yanqing mentions in his character introduction how he was RAISED BY THE GENERAL SINCE BIRTH which... like. what. ok thats actually crazy bc either
1) jing yuan took him from his parents when he was like a day old or something
2) he was given to jing yuan (although, this is unlikely considering it was mentioned jing yuan 'discovered' him)
3) jing yuan lied for whatever reason (to protect him)
4) jing yuan indeed found him when he was born, possibly from a fruit of the ambrosial arbor
in the pic above, yanqing says 'but as you know, children aren't grown on trees." is this foreshadowing? or just straight up dropping a hint that his 'birth' was not a natural one?
the ambrosial arbor was inactive for approx. 2579 years before the sedition of imbibitor lunae. after that, the seals on the arbor were weakened. i haven't exactly worked out the specifics yet, but since bailu was created around 700~ years before canon and is still a little kid, and dan heng was presumably an adult/teen when exiled, my guess is that if yanqing has the lifespan/growth rate of a xianzhou native, he would've been born sometime in between den heng's hatching and bailu's hatching, a little closer towards bailu's. but what could've happened during that time? please hear me out the next part is kinda crazy
my guess is that during the tampering of the transmutation arcanum to revive baiheng (and presumably to allow other species to become vidyadhara, although the wiki gave no source... i'll trust it for now), dan feng and yingxing fucked up and created yanqing in a fruit of the arbor, while during the transmutation arcanum ritual, bc dan feng previously fucked with it, it failed and created bailu (and separated his powers between dan heng and bailu)
now, this seems... really out there. how the fuck would yanqing and bailu, a presumably xianzhou native/humanoid and a vidyadhara, be created from the remains of a foxian? i'll start with yanqing. it was stated that after baiheng's death, only a few drops of blood and a tuft of her hair remained. dan feng and yingxing created yanqing in a fruit of the arbor (like some sort of hatching rebirth... but a fruit) using either the blood or hair (most likely blood) of baiheng. it was a somewhat failed attempt at reviving baiheng. yes, it created life from her remains, but it was not her (think how dan heng ≠ dan feng, and also how vidyadhara can be different genders than their previous incarnation). during the time he was in the fruit, it dyed his hair and eyes blonde/gold, and also created the ring around yanqing's eyes (his is unique, the other characters' eye rings if they have them are a lighter color while his is dark, yes ik silver wolf has it too but her's is different).
Tumblr media
before bailu's hatching and after subduing jingliu, jing yuan eventually came across the fruit yanqing was being held in, or found him wandering about, probably recognized the blonde/gold as the effects of the abundance, and took him in because dude he's not going to kill a literal baby (even if he could). he knew it would be dangerous to give him to a regular family, so he took him in and trained him himself
for more info abt yanqing's connection to the vidyadhara, i suggest checking out this post by astralexpressarchives.
although he is not baiheng, he did take on aspects of baiheng's personality, such as her free will and even laughing/giggling while in battle. he also enjoys flying (although with his swords and not starskiffs) and even has eyelashes similar to her's. and, just like her, yanqing's missions would often be dangerous, but he would come out relatively unscathed.
now, about bailu. dan heng says she was created after dan feng's ritual failed. if you take a look at bailu, she strongly resembles baiheng, and even starts with the same 'bai'.
Tumblr media
same hair, same eyes, similar eyelashes, she even has a similar eye ring to yanqing. there's not too much to say here. while yanqing got baiheng's personality and fighting spirit, bailu got her appearance. now, why did this happen? im thinking its because of dan feng's meddling with the transmutation arcanum. because of that, yanqing was born, but it was 'incomplete'. so while yanqing got one part of baiheng, bailu got the other. yanqing was made on purpose, while bailu was somewhat of an accident. maybe some of baiheng's 'life' from yanqing's creation was still there when bailu was created? idk
the funny thing is, their paths are like... the complete opposite. yanqing follows the hunt (although he was born of the abundance) and bailu follows the abundance (although she was presumably supposed to follow the destruction or hunt).
theory tldr; dan feng and yingxing fucked up and created yanqing and bailu out of baiheng's remains
this is a yanqing post, time to get back to yanqing. hooray! i took a closer look at yanqing's outfit, and noticed numerous leaf/plant symbols.
Tumblr media
...which are closely associated with the abundance. especially the gold leaves.
Tumblr media
this further solidifies my belief that yanqing has something to do with the abundance.
jesus christ that is. a wall of text. pls tell me ur thoughts on this whole thing, i took like 2 1/2 hours to write it and its 2:40 am so sorry if it doesn't make sense i just need to put these thoughts somewhere

hiii, it's me again, thanks for spoiling us with your HC & AU as always 💖 💗
Anyway, I was curious, do you have any HC of what if Happy Family!AU meets with semi-cannon verse of RenJingHeng (that's still trying to bond with Yanqing despite their ✨Issues✨)?
I imagine it would be double the chaos since now they have TWO reckless, self-sacrificial, and insecure teen to watch over. That, and I want the HCQ to react to a what-if versions of themselves lolz. This could either go very well, or they just straight up start criticizing e/o method of parenting, and I can't make up my mind of which is better.
Hello!!! You're welcome, I enjoy writing these headcanons. 🥰
I do have HCs for this!!! I constantly compare the semi-cannon with the AU so I can differentiate their personalities and parenting styles.
I'll group them by character to make it easier.
Dan Feng- Dan Heng
They do not get along and Dan Feng started it. Dan Feng is very protective and doting to Yanqing.
He worries for Yanqing's wellbeing constantly and in his eyes, Dan Heng is neglectful and both Yanqing's should come home with him. Dan Heng's aloofness and his difficulties in connecting make Yanqing feel unsure of where he fits in RenJingHeng's new relationship.
To Dan Heng, Dan Feng's displays of affection contrast with his responsibility to the Vidyadhara, which leads Yanqing to make himself small so he doesn't stress out his father.
"How can you be okay with him going off like that? Getting possessed, sneaking off? He's practically skin and bones! Not to mention, you almost killed him. What kind of father are you?"
"You're one to talk to. Your son is so worried about disappointing you that he puts himself in harm's way constantly to prove himself!"
"Your's does the same!"
This ends with both of them crying and being very upset. Dan Feng has always struggled with emotions and can only communicate through words and acts of affection. Dan Heng is unsure how to communicate and care for Yanqing since he was never allowed to be a child and has no idea how to fit himself into the family dynamics.
Yingxing- Ren
They also do not get along and Ren is responsible for it.
Yingxing is very affectionate to Yanqing despite his strictness. Ren is not affectionate at all and approaches the relationship with a bit of teasing but also a constant state of "you are a child but are nothing like Silver Wolf, so I don't know how to communicate with you."
Yingxing sort of pities Ren since he sees Ren's marastruck fate as what could have happened to him if the Blessings of the Arbor went awry.
But this does not stop either of them from disliking each other. Unlike Dan Heng and Dan Feng, they do not engage with each other at all and instead actively ignore each other.
To Yingxing, Ren is confused and doesn't know how to interact with other people. However, his confusion creates more confusion for Yanqing, who believes that he is being pushed out of the family because of Canon! Jing Yuan is spending more time to incorporate Ren into his life.
To Ren though, Yingxing is a hypocrite. While Ren doesn't know how to interact with Yanqing, Yingxing is the same with his child. He doesn't understand why his child is sacrificial and reckless as if they weren't the traits he saw valued by his parents- their sacrificial and reckless actions in service to the Luofu.
AU! Jing Yuan - Canon! Jing Yuan
They get along pretty well since they are both very mellow people and their nature allows them to understand the other. Their time is spent comparing their respective sons. Hobbies? Favorite foods? Even habits as babies?
Some are similar like sword collecting but others are very different like AU! Yanqing prefers Vidyadhara seafood cuisine and spicy food over Canon! Yanqing prefers savory food from the Luofu and sweet treats like pudding and boba.
They also talk about their worries for their son. About how AU! Yanqing keeps throwing himself in danger to save his comrades even though his death would break his family's heart or how Canon! Yanqing keeps searching for stronger and stronger opponents in a relentless need to improve.
Jingliu
They don't talk at all. I don't see either of them seeing any merit in talking with each other. Instead, they communicate with their blades. To them, crossing blades with an opponent tells them what they need to know. The fight takes 30 minutes and by the end of it, both parties take their leave and stay silent for the rest of the day. If you asked the others, they could not tell you a single thing said during the fight. However, to the sword masters, they knew all they needed to know.
Baiheng
Well, she sort of dead in the canon so there isn't anything she can react to. She is, however, very sad that she passed and left Jing Yuan alone. even if her death was for a good cause.
AU! Yanqing- Canon! Yanqing
They talk about swords. That is honestly it. Their parents are fighting each other so they thought it would be best to avoid additional confrontation. They have also repressed a lot of their childhood insecurities so both of them are not exactly aware of the fact their behaviors are not the healthiest.
AU! Yanqing throws himself in the line of fire because he's seen his parents do it. He wants to protect the Luofu because his fathers spent so much time governing it and ensuring its peace and prosperity. But also, deep down, he wants to show that he is worthy of being their son.
Canon! Yanqing masters the sword not for glory, but to ease the general's burden. They do not call each other father and son even though both parties see each other that way. However, since things are never said, Yanqing believes Jing Yuan sees him as merely an apprentice rather than family. So now that Jing Yuan is bringing Dan Heng and Ren into his life, Yanqing is waiting for when he'll be served the eviction notice.
This was a really fun ask and I hope you enjoyed it!!! Please feel free to send more!

Hello. I'm sorry if this is sudden but I was wondering if you took story requests and if you do, could you make a platonic Dan heng IL story with the reader being the child of his previous incarnation and with the reader still being quite young and Jing Yuan is the one to tell Dan Heng about them even though he's only met them a couple and doesn't know them personally, but Jing Yuan felt like Dan Heng had the right to know about the reader especially after the reader had an encounter with Blade. (If this is too much or if you don't do requests that's completely understandable and I wish you a good day/afternoon and or night😊)
Author's Notes:
Hi, I haven't done the latest Trailblazer mission yet. But my stupid ass, low-key, accidentally spoiled myself with the whole thing about Blade :') . So, I guess I can give this a go.
Tbh, I am not a lore person when it comes to Hoyoverse. For me, it's too confusing and convoluted. I just pay attention to the details in the story and reread character lines over and over again to get their speech patterns.😅😅😅
I hope for the best.
Also…is this Dad!Dan Heng, or Creator!Dan Heng?

It was a risk.
With every decision made, there’s always a risk. And, Jing Yuan knows that, by releasing the Stellaron Hunter; by the name of, “Blade”, was definitely a risk.
“General… are you sure we should do this?” Yanqing had expressed his concern, yet, for the General, Jing Yuan continued to execute his plan. Knowing, if everything is under control, the fruition will worth the risk.
Jing Yuan had given precaution to each step along the way. However, he never anticipated that the Stellaron Hunter would have other plans of his own.
___
“Who are you?”, you asked, looking at a man with a nonchalant, yet, troubled look.
Blade looked at you. The colours of his irises swirled. He didn't answer, as his dark presense towers over you.
Troubled, as if he was baring all the burden on his shoulders. Troubled, as if he held onto the anguish and hatred of the past. Troubled, as if he holding on to a thin line between ‘monster’ and ‘man’; of what is left of his sanity.
___
The guilt weighed on Jing Yuan when he had heard of your encounter with Blade. Were the precautions not enough? We're his predictions not good enough?
The General recalled, how the Master Diviner had given him a warning, prior, to the operation.
“Was it worth, to put so much risk to simply catch the Stellaron Hunter, Kafka?” Fu Xuan asked, she made her disapproval as clear as day.
"Nothing can escape destiny and fate..." Fu Xuan's voice rang in Jing Yuan's ears.
Maybe, despite all the precaution that were made, your encounter with Blade was inevitable. And, maybe it was also fate that brought Dan Heng back to Luofu.
“Dan Feng…” Jing Yuan began, “I see that you have finally returned to Luofu.”
“Dan Feng?” Dan Heng questioned, amused by how Jing Yuan called him by his previous name, “I don’t go by that name anymore… everything is in the past, I see no need to look back.”
Hearing what Dan Heng had said, brought a frown on Jing Yuan’s face. However, the General nodded. He accepted the fact; what had happen centuries ago was of a tragic demise. Done, out of the succumb of “immortality”.
___
“You’re hurt…” you said, trying to grab the man’s bandaged hand, “Lady Bailu can help you.” You offered.
Before you could wrap your tiny fingers around Blade’s hand, he immediately pushed you away. His eyes stared with intensity, seemingly glowing at the sight of his target. His chest heaved, as he felt his throat tensed up at the bubbling emotions of anger emerging.
Looking at the small child getting up from the ground, Blade fixated his gaze on you, as if he was planning to strike his next move. His grip held onto his sword tightly.
___
“Indeed, the past is the past, but…” Jing Yuan said, “ the legacy of your former self, will continue over the centuries to come, Dan Heng.”
He hinted something to Dan Heng.
“Whether you, like it or not…” Jing Yuan added.
Dan Heng’s foot step paused. There was a small weight in his heart. Was it something he did, when he was still Dan Feng? He turned around to look at Jing Yuan, the memories swirled in Dan Heng’s mind, trying to comprehend the muddled and missing pieces of the image of you. An sleeping child, hibernating until it was time for you to be awaken from your birth.
“… [Y/N]…?” He spoke of your name.
___
He lifted his arm up, the cracks on his sword glowed, as he looked down at you with an intense gaze. At that moment, Blade had felt he had snapped. He wasn’t a “man”, but a “monster” blinded my his emotions.
The animalistic growl grumbled from his throat, the anticipation of spilling crimson right before his eyes when he brings his arm down. Yet, his arm remain frozen. Your cries began to alert the guards of Bailu’s estate.
Blade struggled against his mind. Your childish cries was giving him a headache. “…Just…a…small…child…” He mumbled to himself.
“Who’s there?” The guards came running to your direction, “It’s him! The Stellaron Hunter! Quick, alert Lady Bailu!”
“Tsk..”Blade clicked his tongue. Without a word, he fled.
___
“[Y/N].” Dan Heng said.
You looked up at him. Your creator, that you never knew.
Without saying anything, you handed him a cup of tea, before returning to Bailu’s side. Warm light illuminated the living room of Bailu’s house.
“Do you know how tiring it is to look after this child, General?” she complained, “how long will you be keeping this child with me?”
Jing Yuan chuckled, “I understand, Lady Bailu. You have ‘just’ been through a rebirth, and I am certain that having a child under your care while still being…quite young…is tiresome.” The general took a sip of the tea, avoiding certain words, “But, please bare with this arrangement for a little longer. Until the time is right, you will be free of such services.”
Bailu was a little surprised, “W-wait!? What does that mean?!”
“Why do you sound like I want to get rid of this child?” Bailu accused.
”Oh?” Jing Yuan held a surprised look, “Was that not what you ask for?”
“I mean…yes, it will be less of a burden to have this child under my care... But, I have taught a few things about medicine to this child…” the dragon girl said, thinking of a excuse, “…so it will be a loss of my effort if the child leaves so soon. How are you going to compensate that?! ” She crossed her arms.
Dan Heng continued to look at you. You were at a corner playing by yourself. The way you look, the expression and features, were a reflection of him. Dan Feng, your creator, your father.
He let out a heavy sigh. There was a part of him, that wants to engage with you. There were so many things he wanted to say, to do, and to ask of you. Yet, the lack of familiarity and parental feelings for you, made him hesitate.
“…well, it will be quite some time before further arrangements can be made on the child’s welfare…” Jing Yuan grabbed his chin, a mock gesture to convince Bailu to fall through his plan.
“As I thought, General,” Bailu scoffed, “Now, if you are not asking for prescriptions or diagnosis, leave.”
“Yes, of course. Are you alright with that?” Jing Yuan looked at Dan Heng, who’s eyes were fixed on you.
He snapped out of it and replied, “…Yes, I am ready to go. The Astral Express will be leaving soon.”
“We’ll see you both out… [Y/N], the guest are leaving.” Bailu hopped off her chair. She gently took your hand and walked Jing Yuan and Dan Heng to the door.
Both men looked back as they walked out. Dan Heng gave you one last look. You were waving goodbye at him. With Bailu, the Elder High of the Vidyadhara, as your guardian. He knew you are in good hands.
The front gates closed. The image of you disappeared behind the structure with along with Bailu.
That was the last time, Dan Heng saw of you.

The current Honkai Star Rail ghost hunting event is maybe the best one yet - I love hanging out with Sushang, Guinafen, and Huo Huo, the social media thing is hilarious (especially once you know which canon characters belong to which screen names - i.e., that Jing Yuan is on fake ghost hunting tiktok teasing Fu Xuan about how short she is, lol) (I may ship it, just a little), and the lore they're dropping is really interesting. In that way, I'm really happy with HSR's "permanent" event setup, that future players can get this content without the special rewards, because if this was a limited time event I'd definitely be unhappy about how much character stuff and lore would disappear.
But anyway, the biggest thing I've come away with so far is feeling a LOT of sympathy for Yanqing, and considering the folly of a civilization/government attempting to erase their own history. Like, here's a kid, he's a member of an effectively immortal species, but he's a teenager - either in actuality or in relative age to his centuries-old fellows. Yes, he's a swordplay savant and has earned a place as a military officer at his young age, but he's still stupidly young. He's the protege of the Arbiter General, the most powerful man on the Luofu, but Jing Yuan has clearly not told him anything more of what truly happened with the High Cloud Quintet than is public knowledge. And that public knowledge appears to be no more than "So, these 5 were heroes, until Imbibitor Lunae and his (boy)friend did something unspeakable with Vidyadhara magic and got themselves exiled permanently. Also we erased the entire identity of the greatest swordsperson in our history and pretend she doesn't exist, don't ask us why." And I'm sure that there are plenty of people who are either old enough to remember what actually happened, or have parents/grandparents who witnessed what happened, but Yanqing is not one of them.
So we have this teenaged kid, with a relatively high level military rank and an ego to match that his mentor has indulged up until now, and a strong sense of right and wrong. He sees what he believes to be a blind woman wandering through an active combat zone and offers to escort her to where she's going. Unfortunately for him, that woman is the aforementioned sword champion whose entire identity has been erased from history, so he has no idea that she's a) the person he high-key idolizes, b) his mentor's old mentor, and c) gone semi-batshit with mara and here to fuck shit up. So she kicks his ass and laughs at him, which is the perfect way to get under a teenager's skin, and leaves him humiliated.
And then Yanqing hears that one of the two most infamous exiled criminals in the Luofu's history, who had been caught coming back and imprisoned, has escaped and is once again running around free. So, he goes hunting, because it's the duty of a Cloud Knight to capture this criminal, and also it's maybe a way to redeem himself. But once again, he doesn't have the full information, which is that a) this criminal is nearly as good at the sword as the woman who just kicked his ass, because she brutally trained him, b) this criminal is even MORE batshit marastruck because he's a more short-lived human, which shouldn't even be possible, and c) oh yeah, Imbibitor Lunae is also here, hiding as a member of the Astral Express crew, so now he's gonna have to fight BOTH of the most infamous exiled criminals in Luofu history. But he refuses to back down, so that goes about as well as one might expect.
But Jing Yuan shows up! So the day will be saved, right? But Yanqing hasn't really thought about the fact that these two criminals were once Jing Yuan's best friends - which he probably knew in the abstract, because he knows that Jing Yuan is the last surviving non-exiled member of the High Cloud Quintet - but has had no reason to contemplate what that might mean until now. And, well, these are the worst criminals in his people's history, right? So Jing Yuan is here to back him up?
Wrong. His beloved mentor actually snaps at him to back off, and then lets them go.
I mean, no wonder this kid is messed up. No wonder he lets a heliobus get into his head with promises of making him better, stronger, more worthy of being a Cloud Knight. I'm so glad that something permanent, that every player can access, addresses the way he's feeling after all that. And I'm glad that Jing Yuan acknowledges that it's his fault, his failing as Yanqing's master for not properly preparing him for this eventuality, or helping him process it afterward. Not that Jing Yuan did anything wrong in his dealings with Blade and Dan Heng, but the man is constantly playing 5D chess with the entire universe and never lets anyone in on his thoughts, which is his primary failing. An understandable one, given his circumstances, but not one that particularly helps anyone around him deal with the fallout from his schemes.
So yes. I have more feels about Yanqing than I ever thought I would. Join me next time when I have almost the same amount of feels about Qingque and how actually good she is at being a diviner when she's not using her clearly stellar brain to figure out new ways to slack off, and how I hope she ends up being Fu Xuan's second in command and is forced to bitch about it for the next several hundred years.

//This post is meant as a point of reference for all future interactions with my canon divergent muses. The list includes:
HSR: All my Luofu muses. Aventurine. Robin.
GI: Yae Miko, Ayato and Ei. Bosacius.
While there are varying degrees of negotiability I intend to tag them accordingly.
Tumblr media
MODERATELY CANON DIVERGENT MUSES
Genshin Impact:
Yae Miko + Ei
(non-negotiable) Both my Yae Miko and Raiden Shogun are the adoptive parents of Milou @deathsmaiden. Esther's OC is the only muse I will accept as having a familial relationship with either of them.
(negotiable) By default they are also the mother in laws of my Kamisato Ayato. This does not apply to any other portrayals of Yae Miko, Ei or Ayato.
Ayato (mostly non-negotiable) - in his primary verse Ayato is by default married to his wife Milou. Whenever interacting with him his default will always be married to her because Esther and I are affiliates so she got first dibs. I am still open to shipping other muses with Ayato but unless we already had something pre-established or you come to me directly asking to ship he will reject any romantic advances because;
a. He is happily married.
b. His wife is fucking crazy.
Tumblr media
HEAVILY CANON DIVERGENT MUSES
Genshin Impact:
Wriothesley
(non-negotiable) Wriothesley by default is a werewolf. Every full moon he turns into a wolf and ends up locked in a cell for the night. This is a major secret that he hasn't even told people he respects alot like Neuvillette or Clorinde. In fact the only people (that I recall) currently with any knowledge of this would be:
a. Sigewinne, because she is the person he reasonably trusts the most and has the most personal relationship with and seeing as he became one shortly before being sentenced to Meropide it is only reasonable that she is aware.
b. Sora over at curiouskinetic. They have been through a lot together as next to Sigewinne she is likely the one person he has the most trust with on a personal level, not just professionally, and he chose to tell her of his own free will.
Bosacius
(Fairly negotiable) After his disappearance and being trapped in the Chasm he actually did manage to survive his fractured mind not fully understanding why but understanding enough to understand that the space he was in was manipulative and chaotic but not understanding that it was in fact contained so through force of will. By the time he met his brother again he was not even as close to as powerful as he had once been.
Honkai Star Rail:
Yanqing + Jing Yuan
(very negotiable) by DEFAULT due to my own personal opinions both my Yanqing and Jing Yuan consider Jingliu dead because in my own portrayal Jing Yuan mercy killed her. Therefore she did not come back during the Xianzhuo Luofu arc. This is not applicable to other portrayals of Yanqing or Jing Yuan but I do ask anyone that wants to throw Jingliu at me speak to me first because I have not been following the side quests that aren't mandatory for the story.
Aventurine
(very negotiable) His default verse is after failing his mission to take Penacony back from the Family a death sentence was put out on his head. He was given the mission knowing full well he had one of two options; succeed or die. He failed and turned to the Family for protection, how he got it is up for plotting but to save his own skin he serves them though in his own mind he is basically walking from one hopeless situation to a (hopefully) more favorable one.
Robin
(very negotiable) Robin did not die, through some probably less than noble trickery she faked her death and temporarily went into hiding to throw off her would be killer. She went so deeply into hiding that she didn't even tell her brother and her best friend that she was in fact alive, despite knowing full well, once this was over she would have to tell both of them the truth and he might never forgive her for it.
She is still around Penacony and the Dreamverse but disguising herself as a goth girl and wearing wigs and hats to hide her hair.

Shipper tag game
tagged by @tiesanjiaoshenanigans <33
What ship were you completely obsessed with when you were a teenager, but now you don't care about anymore?
oh god i dont even know. probably any silm ship i liked since i just outgrew that part of my life organically and also dennor probably?
Which ship would you consider your first one?
percabeth easily
Your first fanfic was about which couple?
it was dennor hetalia
Do you remember the first couple you saw fanart of?
most likely percabeth since i got tumblr literally just to follow viria for the art
Have you ever gotten into ship discourse?
yes i was 13 and i didnt like fruk. i made an apology drawing that said 'im sorry fruk shippers' on a sign being held up by a sad girl. i was 13. since then? not really. i dont tend to have the time or energy to actively argue with people i disagree with. to me theres no point + it doesnt matter
Did you use to have any NOTP or have one currently?
im opinionated so absolutely!! didnt like hk/iceland (hetalia) or fruk (hetalia again lol). didnt like yuri/otabek (yoi), most byleth/student ships (femblem), jeanluc (when i was into genshin). currently dont like renheng (it's just not my thing), jing yuan/fu xuan (also not my thing) or dan heng/anyone tbh (although i make exceptions for tb). i dont have any massive reasons for disliking them theyre just either not my thing or dont align with my hcs (shrug)
any jing yuan/hcq feels vaguely icky to me because they knew him as a teenager while they were adults (aside from yingxing since his age is more ambiguous and it seems like he mightve grown up at the same time jy did?)
Who were the couple in the last fanfic you read?
brb checking my ao3 history
oh my god is was a fucking dddne dabi/hawks fic i found when i was looking through trans tags. i havent read or watched mha it just sounded interesting. i liked it and its here if you want to read it (mind the tags)
Currently, do you have any OTPs?
weirdly no massive ones for hsr which is my main fandom. i have ships i like tho!! kafblade, stellemarch and bronseele. also i think clara/yanqing is adorable in concept. arranging playdates between my daughter and jing yuans son. i also think voidwelt would be really interesting
Is there any couple that, to this day, you are extremely mad about not getting together?
not rlly!! i tend not to care too much about canon when it comes to shipping, so i hardly even pay it attention
Is there any ship you used to dislike but now you think they are kind of interesting?
not rlly!! if there is i cant remember them
Do you have any ship that, in the past, would've been considered normal but now you would be cancelled over?
any rpf ship tbh. i honestly think rpf is fine as long as you dont project its contents onto the very real people it's based off of.
What is your favorite crack ship?
velite/argenti
What is the couple you read the most fanfics about?
i dont read fanfic v often (combination of bad attention span, really specific tastes, etc) but when i do its usually sansang, seongjoong, or whatever ship fic @tiesanjiaoshenanigans or @kireinalix ask me to beta are hehe
What do most of your ships usually have in common?
this is a good question and i dont really know the answer. my taste tends to favour characters who make a good parental unit (seongjoong, jingliu/baiheng), but i also enjoy the dynamics of amoral pairs (kafblade), as well as goofy lesbians having a good time (stellemarch)
What you absolutely hate in a ship?
if its boring tbh. if something feels boring or overdone im p much guaranteed not to like it. like jeanluc? theyre just boring to me. i also really dont enjoy the 'i knew you when you were a kid and then you grew up hot and now we're dating' thing
tagging @himbodevotee @morifiinwe @shineoftherainbow @kireinalix @aowyn and anyone else who follows me :3

◖General Infos◗
I only accept asks via inbox.
I write GN reader mostly (with generic anatomy). I could write for fem/afab too, but I'd rather stick to GN. If you notice wrong pronouns let me know right away!
Please specify if you want headcanons (max 3 charas), drabble (max 1 chara) or a mix of both (max 2 charas).
Sending a request doesn't mean I'll complete it! It depends on how much I like it and if I'm comfortable enough.
There's no standard time for fulfilling requests. It might take days or a couple hours, depending on my energy, inspo and availability.
If you want to ask something that isn't mentioned in this post, feel free to do so, I'll let you know whether it's fine or not and add it here.
Tumblr media
◖Characters◗
I write for these characters and try to stick to their canon personalities as much as I can. Keep in mind that I've never written for some of them, so I might take extra time to study their characterisation.

Tumblr media
◖Do's and Won't Do's◗
Will do:
Fluff, romance, platonic relationship (child reader, sibling dynamics etc)
Angst, mildly dark content, physical and emotional pain, death, graphic descriptions of violence and torture (mild). Read my published pieces and you'll know how I prefer this stuff lol.
Overall sensitive topics like trauma. (Ask me and I'll tell you if it's fine or not).
Spicy stuff (making out, nudity, implied intimacy, the morning after).
Alternative universes (includes SAGAU and self aware characters).
Won't do:
Graphic smut/foreplay (I don't know how to do it RIP).
Representations I consider off of character.
Cheating.
Poly (nothing against it, I'm just too dumb to write it well enough).
Yandere.
One sided love (isn't there too much of it already?).
This list might be updated in the future.

To your last post: I love a hc that all the protection charms Yanqing wears are from Jing Yuan: he's proud of his student (son) and is confident in his abilities but deep down as a parent he's deeply worried about Yanqing's well-being, especially when he isn't near to personally insure his safety. (and Yanqing certainly doesn't make his life easier, running away to fight criminals and go on solo missions kskdkd). He totally prays to Lan
P.S. I love your fics and headcanons about the HCQ and Yanqing so much! Thank you for writing them!!
Hello!!!! I'm so glad you love my work, I really enjoy making them for everyone to read!!!
I know this reply is a bit late, I am behind on answering all my asks 😅
In canon, I have a headcanon that Jing Yuan took Yanqing in when he was a little baby, barely a month old. Jing Yuan was already so tired of his role and his life when he came across Yanqing. He was absolutely taken in by the baby, who seemed to babble endlessly and cry when Jing Yuan set him down. With this new sense of fatherhood also came a sense of fear and anxiety since babies are so fragile and Yanqing was so, so very curious.
The first was the silver lock charm, which was originally on a silver hoop to prevent Yanqing from choking. Jing Yuan got it not long after he took in Yanqing. The charm was decorated with auspicious symbols for Yanqing to live a long and healthy life. He knew a long life was a small ask for Xianzhou Natives, but he had seen war and knew full well how easy it was to die. Yanqing enjoyed the charm greatly, especially the little tinkling sounds the bells made.
The second was the red string on his ankle, a symbol of protection and good fortune. Yanqing was probably about 6 months old when he got the anklet. A gift from Jing Yuan, he had heard of the tradition from Yukong when she got Qingni and Tingyun a red bracelet. Survival is based on luck 50% of the time and he prayed that Yanqing could receive all the good fortune he could get.
The last one was the bells, a bracelet that was also given to babies for good luck and protection. The bracelet was bought in conjunction with the lock charm but Yanqing had a habit of sticking the bells into his mouth so the bracelet was removed of out of fear it was a potential choking hazard. It was given to Yanqing at 1 year old when he outgrew the phase of shoving things in his mouth and instead started the crawl off. The jingling of the bells quickly signaled his location and allowed everyone to keep an eye on him. In the early years, the bells were the most useful protection charm Yanqing had.
While they did not get rid of his anxiety, they did assuage it a little bit. A little bit of hope for Yanqing's safety and survival and a symbol of Jing Yuan's love for his only son.
Please feel free to send more 🥰

i wonder how public change when yanqing was first brought to the xainzhou to now when hes 14 and started training as a cloud knight. do you have headcanons about it im really curious! (also keep doing what youre doing!! this au is amazing 💕💕!!!)
Hello!!! Apologies for getting to this ask so late, I finally figured out how to answers asks on Tumblr via mobile. During the week, my desk is occupied by work so I can’t really answer anything.
Thank you! I’m so glad you like the AU!❤️
This is actually a super interesting question and I am really glad you asked it.
When Yanqing was first brought to the Luofu, the response was split between the general public (regular people, business owners, new money), the nobility and Vidyadhara preceptors (high-ranking families of old and those who are very steeped in tradition). This distinction is important because depending on who they were, also affected how they viewed Jing Yuan’s, Dan Feng’s and Yingxing’s marriage in the first place. The general public viewed the marriage favorably, there’s a lot of admiration for the HCQ and Jing Yuan in particular. The nobility and Vidyadhara’s did not view the marriage favorably. The nobility did not favor Jing Yuan because despite his background being nobility he did not prioritize their interests, always preferring the peach and prosperity of everyone over the wealthy. Many Vidyadhara preceptors believed in their own superiority and highly disliked Dan Feng’s independence from them and his willingness to be with a Xianzhou Native and a mortal cursed by the Abundance.
In Family Dinner, it’s really obvious that the nobility did not like Yanqing when he first came to the Luofu. In a lot of cultures, noble families who don’t have heirs will adopt the son-in-law or the younger sons of another family so their family line can continue. That was what they had hoped would happened since it would allow their families to gain a lot of wealth and status. That obviously did not happen so there was some discontent there. A lot of families quickly bounced back, seeing an opportunity to instead set up an arranged marriage for Yanqing and their children. That also quickly got squashed. By the time Yanqing is 14, having already proven himself on the battlefield, the discontent has mellowed out to either respect or apathy. There is still a faction that still hates him since they see him as an extension of his parent’s.
The preceptors are just haters. I firmly believe that. A lot of their discontent and anger comes from their inability to control Dan Feng and just how powerful he is compared to his previous reincarnations and their sense of superiority over the Xianzhou Natives and Foxians. In the beginning, they saw Yanqing as less of a cherished child and more of a pet that caught Dan Feng’s eye and were expecting him to get tired of it in a couple years. That did not happen and as he got older, they saw the kid as an annoying reminder that Dan Feng’s loyalty is not to the Vidyadhara’s alone.
For the general public, Yanqing is very popular. When he was brought in, the media had a field day saying that Jing Yuan had a bastard child during his time away from home. After rumors were dealt with, the public saw him sort of as a little prince. He’s a cute, polite little kid and he charmed the public spectacularly. The fact that he was willing to join the Cloud Knights and his talent on the battlefield made him very popular on the Luofu, but there was talk of how his fathers could stand to send their young son onto the battlefield.
These are all the head canons I have at the moment for this. If you want more, please feel free to ask. I really enjoyed working this out!😄

Hi im actually like obsessed with your au…anyways can you drop headcanons about Baiheng and Jingliu’s relationship to Yanqing?
Thank you so much!!! I really enjoy writing it and I hope to write more for it in the future!
I can absolutely drop head canons about Baiheng and Jingliu. I have a headcanons for them separately in the works, so I’ll drop headcanons for them as a group here.
**Baiheng and Jingliu are referred to as auntie by Yanqing
1. Baiheng takes very easily to babysitting. She loves children and she especially loves Yanqing. They’re just so cute and full of life. When Yanqing was young, Baiheng rarely ever put him down, instead opting to carry him wherever she went. Jingliu is the opposite, it’s not that she’s bad at it, but rather, she’s rarely ever interacted with babies that they kind of freak her out. They have big heads that need to be supported or else they’ll choke or they accidentallly scratch themselves so you have to put little mits on them. To Jingliu, they are creatures with no sense of self-preservation and very soft, fragile bodies. During rare instances where she’d be left alone with Yanqing, she’d always be quite anxious out of fear of accidentally harming her nephew.
2. They are the couple that goes to parent-teacher conferences and come in when Yanqing gets in trouble. A lot of time Jing Yuan, Dan Feng, and Yingxing get too busy so they will go in their place. Yanqing has always been a polite child, no matter how energetic he is, so parent-teacher conferences are a breeze. Getting called in when Yanqing is in trouble is a totally separate affair. Kids have big emotions and sometimes they don’t express them properly, it happens. Yanqing usually get taken home and given a light scolding on regulating emotions and the proper way to express them by Baiheng, Jingliu is more concerned with “Did you win?” And “Did they hit you first?” But if there is so much of a hint of bullying, Jingliu is ready to fight. Parent, child, it doesn’t matter who- she will fight them and she will win. Baiheng is more in the habit of making veiled threats to the staff. Children are young and dumb, it is the responsibility of the adults around them to ensure everyone is taken care of. Besides, they did not shell out a ton of money for a fancy, private school so the staff could turn a blind eye to their nephew getting bullied.
3. When Yanqing gets mad at his parents, he goes off to his aunties’ house. This first started when Yanqing was 7 and his fathers couldn’t play with him and had turned him away from their office. Yanqing, with all the rebellious and courage of a 7 year old, decided he was going to sneak out and see his aunties instead. After all, they wouldn’t turn him away. So he snuck out the back gate that the gardeners used with Mimi in tow as a bodyguard. He knew the route by heart and walked for 15 minutes until he got to their manor. He was absolutely taken in and treated to delicious food and game with Baiheng while Jingliu called Jing Yuan asking why his kid just showed up at her door with no adult supervision besides a lion. Yanqing sees no difference between either locations, both places are his home, it’s just his aunt lives a bit away from him and his dads. His fathers, however, were not pleased that their child had wandered off alone and added an additional lock on the back gate. This lasted for 3 months before Yanqing realized that if he climbed a peach tree and angled his jump correctly, he can make it to the other side of the wall and open the gate for Mimi.
This was sitting in my inbox for a while and I had been working on it slowly after work. I really hope you like it and please feel free to send more. I genuinely enjoy answering them.
