To answer a question you posed;
She wanted Joe to apologize to prove his undying devotion. I genuinely think she doesn't have a healthy perspective on love and she strikes me (and some of her lyrics back this) as someone who puts her partner through tests to prove their love. So she may have broken up with Joe expecting him to run back and say sorry for being depressed and when he didn't, she grew angry. And since we know now from one of her songs that she was looking at his location on her phone, she was probably pissed that he went back to England and was going out/moving on with his life. I think the mix of chaotic fame and no guardians preserving her innocence has unfortunately taught her that life and love are a series of ups and downs rather than mundane. Her perception of love is a telenovela.
Tbh Joe had proved his love for her several times already. From her previous songs like afterglow, the great war and even me! she sings that she is the one who always tried to end their relationship but he was always persistent and fought for it. She kept putting him through tests to the point it must drain him mentally.
"Tell me that we'll be just fine even when I lose my mind"
"Tell me that it's not my fault, tell me that I'm all you want even when I break your heart"
"When we had the fight out in the rain, you ran after me and called my name... I never wanna see you walk away"
"I lived like an island punished you through the silence"
"I pinned your hands behind your back, thought i had reasons to attack but no"
"Soldier down on the icy ground, looked up at me with honor and truth. Broken and blue so I called off the troops"
"Why'd i have to break what i love so much"
"Daring you to leave me just so i can try and scare you"
"You said I'd have to trust more freely"
"I'm highly suspicious that everyone who sees you wants you"
It kind of annoys me how joe kept fighting for her and trying to prove his love because man it really sounds draining. Even this time, she wanted a similar response from him where he'd fly back from the other side of the world and tell her how sorry he is and apologize. But finally he got fed up and accepted the decision (i think he outgrew her too) and that's what made her so pissed. She's mad because he's moving on. Hence, all the scheming and plotting to make him look like a villain.

I used to be one of Taylor Swift's biggest fans. I grew up listening to her and I have been a fan since I was five. Which is why it is so disappointing how she has stayed silent about the attack on Gaza. She won person of the year and chose not to use that to bring attention to Gaza. Worst of all, she turned her fanbase against her ex-boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, who has used his platform multiple times to bring attention to Palestine. She's only a "feminist" when it benefits her.

Taylor’s reputation got saved by Joe all of those years. If she had never met him, she would’ve been unable to recover from the backlash. I am an ex swiftie so I can say that Taylor around him had a different personality. It seemed like she had some personality and that she had finally learned some real maturity (apologizing to Katy Perry for example) and that she was ready to be more outspoken about social issues but it was just fake. This was her trying to fit into Joe’s activism. It’s not a coincidence that she’s back to being her very immature self and out of touch with reality self since she’s now dating men that are equally as awful as her. Not only that but Joe participated in the making of Folklore/Evermore - lyrically her most mature albums. She really fumbled the bag but I hope Joe finds someone that actually deserves him.
More and more people are starting to realise that Joe was the lyrical genius behind Folklore. Without him we get crass lines like 'tattooed golden retriever' and 'he touches me while his bros play Grand Theft Auto.'

Do you remember when people were saying that daddy I love him was prob about Joe taking away her voice in reference to the little mermaid? Like imagine making up a story, or being someone that spread it around because you want so badly for Joe to be a Great Villain. It’s so scary.
Unfortunately, I remember it all too well. The fans imposed their own crazy theories onto all of the songs. And then used it as justification to harass Joe and his female co-stars. This is why it's so hard to be a part of this fandom. So many insufferable people.
Those stans are real quiet now that the truth has come out.

Interesting that tree releases that article about being respectful (🙄) now. Maybe a sign that they finally realise all the bullying is just backfiring and they are now doing their usual "golly gee gosh, I didn't know anything about it, I've been respectful all this time, how was I to know that pushing ylm each time he showed his face would result in my fans trying to destroy his life, relationships, family, friends (female), and career 🥺".
Exactly !!!
TS incited harassment against Joe for the last year and abused the power imbalance between them as much as she could and now they are trying to wash their hands. 🙄🙄🙄

I genuinely think one of the hardest things as an ex swiftie is actually the fact that most of us really loved Taylor.
We grew up with her she was a big part of all of our lives and it actually hurts knowing all of it was fake.
Like when lover came out I felt seen as a gay person. Like wow my idol advocated for my rights to get married - until I realized to her it was just a trend I guess.
Some of my favorite memories included her songs. I mean my gf and I watched the eras tour in the cinemas and it was such a special date to us.
Our wedding song would've been you're in love.
And man it hurts now thinking about it. Cause genuinely all the bad things she's done and is still actively doing and not being held accountable or you know taking accountability is just sad man.
Not to mention of the scariest things is posting about being an ex swiftie or calling Taylor rightfully out cause we get sent really horrible things on anon for simply raising our opinion.
I genuinely hope people who leave the fandom know they're not alone and my blog is a safe space <3

Funny that the swifties are now dragging Joe for NOT having songs for him in TTPD. Like they just can't accept the fact that Joe is an unproblematic king who actually did nothing wrong. They are so fucking pissed off that their vile speculations were only speculations and the one who did wrong was their fave. So of course, make up some new excuse to hate on Joe. Classic swiftie braindead logic :)

Something that bugs me so much about Swifties is how their response to people defending Joe tends to be "you weren't part of the relationship so how can you know the truth about how he treated her" but then they turn around and bash Joe as if they were part of the relationship and know how he treated her?? They just assume everything Taylor says is gospel, because of course she would have no reason to tell a biased version of the story that makes her look like the good guy/victim and Joe like the villain.
Sorry for the umprompted rant, just something that's been bothering me a lot lately. And thank you for your service...we need more Joe blogs on this site
I appreciate your rants because it’s good to know I’m not alone. Here to listen and support 🫡

Weird how so many swifties are saying Taylor is “so real” for writing more of the album about Matty Healy instead of Joe Alwyn. Like they’re over there saying Joe just wasn’t interesting enough or whatever.
But the way I interpret the lack of content about Joe is that Taylor must know deep down that there just isn’t much dirt that she can dig up on him to slander him for 31 songs.
And the few songs that do seem to talk about Joe just point out Taylor’s own desire to cheat and how she couldn’t be supportive during his hardships.
How come swifties support her getting bored and being unfaithful? In the months leading up to this album, they were ready to burn Joe on a stake for not marrying Taylor and what they suspected was him cheating. Guess anything is excusable as long as it’s Taylor that does it.
"Joe wasn’t interesting enough to write about"— man's got five albums about him and with him, what drugs are they on? 💀

Realizing that Taylor wrote and rewrote her meeting and falling in love with Joe over and over on each album because she was desperately clinging to the hope that the magic and golden love would come back, but over the years it never did.

You know, it's rather interesting to me that Taylor Swift's parasocial relationship with her fans is honestly more akin to a YouTuber than a writer's. When I scroll through her tag on tumblr/Twitter, it's far more regarding the connection to her personal life/relationship developments than the actual metaphors/fictional story she might be telling. Everything comes back to how her songs reflect back on her relationships with Joe/Matty/Travis/Jake/insert ex-boyfriend here. And what fascinates me about it is that even though she complains about it, she leans into that very perception because it strengthens the parasocial bond.
The marketing for TTPD so clearly being about Joe Alwyn and the songs to Matty Healy. The marketing/video for Red TV so CLEARLY being about Jake Gyllenhaal, with so many of the new lines in All Too Well specifically being digs at him (I'll get older but your lovers stay my age, casting an actor that looks like him for the video, specific lines in I Bet You Think About Me). The fact that songs like Getaway Car and Bejeweled and Gorgeous and London Boy and Lavender Haze being picked apart at time of release and long after for signs of relationships crumbling. The way she uses surprise songs in relation to her relationship development with Joe/Matty/Travis. The damn TTPD "stages of grief" playlists where she deliberately undid/changed the meanings of old songs just to keep her audience speculating on her love life.
It's not sexist to point out that her wielding her love life is a marketing tool and that the strongest connection to her audience isn't the strength of her writing/the composition of her music- it's her deliberate crafting of a connection between her music and her personal life, leaving the audience invested in her music as an extension of Taylor the Person/Girlfriend rather than Taylor the Artist.
