Si  bien es cierto que el cine nacional se ha especializado en la comedia, también es cierto que durante años se ha tratado de empezar a rescatar el resto de los géneros, teniendo como resultado producciones irregulares en su mayoría. Cinépolis Distribución felicita a las ganadoras de la noche en la pasada entrega de los Premios Ariel 2021

Tres películas de Cinépolis Distribución ganaron preseas – incluyendo mejor película - en la pasada entrega de premios de la Academia mexicana de artes y ciencias cinematográficas: Sin señas particulares, El Baile de los 41 y Perdida logrando un total de 14 premios.

El pasado sábado 25 de septiembre se llevó a cabo la entrega de la 63va. edición de los Premios Ariel que otorga cada año la Academia Mexicana de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas (AMACC).  Tres de las películas de Cinépolis Distribución fueron las ganadoras de la noche: Sin señas particulares (Fernanda Valadez), El Baile de los 41 (David Pablos) y Perdida (Jorge Michel Grau).

El triunfo de estas tres películas, en los 63va. entrega de los Premios Ariel, es parte del resultado del esfuerzo sostenido en el área de Cinépolis Distribución para el apoyo a lo más destacado en la cinematografía nacional que inició en 2015.

En esta edición 63 de los Premios Ariel, las triunfadoras de la noche fueron:

Sin señas particulares (2019), de la realizadora Fernanda Valadez recibió nueve galardones: mejores efectos visuales, mejor edición, mejor fotografía, mejor guion original, mejor coactuación masculina, mejor ópera prima, mejor actriz Mercedes Hernández, mejor director Fernanda Valadez y mejor película.

La película dirigida por David Pablos, El Baile de los 41 (2020), también resultó ganadora en cuatro categorías: mejor maquillaje, mejor vestuario, mejor diseño de arte y mejor actor Alfonso Herrera.

Perdida (2019), del director Jorge Michel Grau, salió triunfadora en la categoría como mejor guion adaptado.

Actualmente la película Sin señas particulares se encuentra disponible únicamente en cines en su octava semana de exhibición y se tiene programado el estreno del documental Maricarmen (dirigida por Sergio Morkin) para el día 4 de noviembre y la comedia de humor negro Amalgama (dirigida por Carlos Cuarón) para el día 9 de diciembre de este año bajo el sello de Cinépolis Distribución.

This is a Mexican horror anthology and boy do they bring the sex and gore!

It's kind of a middle of the pack in terms of anthologies. Nothing really bad but nothing you have to drop everything to see either.

There is one with strippers all made up in Day of the Dead face paint (which is on the poster) which is cool looking but lacked something to make it amazing.

The segment Drain is very strange but also very good.

None of them are overlong, they come in tell you pretty good stories and vanish.
