Stonebench Films' more than a teaser for Jigarthanda Double X, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, was unveiled on September 11 at 12:12 pm. Dhanush released the Tamil teaser, Mahesh Babu published the Telugu teaser, Dulquer Salmaan released the Malayalam teaser, and Rakshit Shetty released the Kannada teaser. The film's leading men, Raghava Lawrence and S J Suryah, are expected to have completed filming and that post-production work will be underway. The team is now working hard to guarantee that the film is out in time for Diwali. Aside from numerous new and interesting sites in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, additional sets were built to meet the needs of the screenplay. Producer Kaarthekeyen Santhanam said of the film, "We had a fruitful and extensive shoot spread across many locations for this big project." We are very excited to have it ready for Diwali this year." "The film is a creatively satisfying experience for all of us," director Karthik Subbaraj continued. Jigarthanda Double X was shot in some of the most unusual places. I am confident that we will provide the audience with an exciting experience. "I sincerely thank my actors, technicians, and everyone else who helped with this massive project." Jigathanda DoubleX, like its predecessor, is an action drama in the action gangster genre. Tirru, a national award-winning cinematographer who has collaborated with Karthik Subbaraj on films such as Mercury and Rajinikanth's Petta, is a part of this film, as is editing by Shafiq Mohammed Ali. Santhosh Narayanan wrote the soundtrack, who, interestingly, also scored for Jigarthanda and has been in most of Karthik's previous films. Jigarthanda Double X, produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, is intended to be a Diwali treat, with releases in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada.

Mahaan Review Written during lockdown made without feedback ss
Mahaan Review: Tamil film director Karthik Subbaraj’s previous film ‘Jageme Thandiram’ had a major problem, the detail. It seemed that it has been written thinking of a web series. Now watching his recent film ‘Mahan’ on Amazon Prime Video, it seems that Karthik has creativity but it is only imprisoned in his mind, it cannot appear on the screen. A film was conceived about the famous hero Vikram…

Jigarthanda DoubleX: A Genre-Bending Masterpiece
If you're looking for a film that will stay with you long after the credits roll, then Jigarthanda DoubleX is a must-watch. The cinematography is phenomenal. The way director Karthik Subbaraj blends the gritty realism of the first half with the stunning visuals of the Western-inspired second half is truly impressive.
Here are some of the film's strengths based on my opinion:
Genre-Bending Brilliance: Subbaraj takes a bold risk by shifting gears halfway through, and it pays off. The film cleverly combines elements of gangster film, social commentary, and Western homage.
Top-Notch Performances: Both SJ Suryah and Raghava Lawrence deliver career-defining performances. Suryah's portrayal of the determined filmmaker is nuanced, while Lawrence brings a surprising depth to the complex character of the gangster.
Powerful Music: Santhosh Narayanan's score perfectly complements the film's mood and energy, from the tense first half to the epic second half.
Of course, no film is perfect, and some viewers found the pacing of the first half a bit slow. However, the strong performances, the genre-bending narrative, and the stunning visuals make Jigarthanda DoubleX a truly unforgettable cinematic experience.
I highly recommend recommending this film to others who appreciate ambitious filmmaking and strong performances.

Suriya and Jyotika's Inspiring Couple Workout Sparks Fitness Frenzy
Suriya and Jyotika, the power couple of the South Indian film industry, have once again set social media ablaze, but this time not with their on-screen chemistry or off-screen romance. Instead, it's their shared dedication to fitness that's garnering attention, leaving fans in awe and inspired to hit the gym.
Tumblr media
In a viral video circulating on various platforms, the couple can be seen sweating it out together, engaging in rigorous workout routines. While Suriya's commitment to fitness is well-known, what truly surprised fans was Jyotika's impressive display of strength and endurance.
Amidst recent rumors suggesting trouble in paradise for the couple, with speculations of a divorce looming large, this video comes as a refreshing reassurance of their strong bond and mutual support for each other. Jyotika's relocation to Mumbai was cited as fuel for these rumors, but her recent Instagram post showcasing their workout camaraderie speaks volumes about the solidarity between them.
Suriya's fitness journey dates back to his remarkable physical transformation for the movie Vaaranam Aayiram in 2008, establishing him as a fitness icon in the industry. However, it's Jyotika's dedication to her fitness regimen that stole the spotlight in this video, portraying her as an equal partner in their quest for a healthy lifestyle.
In a recent interview addressing the divorce rumors, Jyotika clarified that her move to Mumbai was solely driven by work commitments and emphasized her husband's unwavering support for her career choices. She expressed gratitude for Suriya's encouragement and prioritization of their family's well-being, showcasing the depth of their relationship beyond the glitz and glamour of showbiz.
Jyotika's career resurgence, often termed as her 'second innings,' has been nothing short of remarkable. After a hiatus following her marriage to Suriya in 2006, she made a powerful comeback with 36 Vayathinile in 2015 and has since been delivering stellar performances, earning critical acclaim for her diverse roles.
Collaborations with industry stalwarts like Mammootty in Kathaal: The Core and projects alongside Madhavan and Ajay Devgn in Shaitaan have further solidified her position as a versatile actor with a penchant for challenging roles. With promising projects like Srikanth and DabbaCartle in her pipeline, Jyotika's career trajectory seems to be on an upward trajectory.
Meanwhile, Suriya has been busy promoting his upcoming venture, Kanguva, targeting the North Indian market. The film, backed by Studio Green, is poised to make waves with its multilingual release strategy, showcasing Suriya's pan-Indian appeal. Additionally, his collaboration with director Karthik Subbaraj for Suriya 44 has already generated considerable buzz, hinting at yet another exciting chapter in his illustrious career.
As fans eagerly anticipate their favorite couple's upcoming projects, Suriya and Jyotika continue to inspire millions with their commitment to fitness, resilience in the face of adversity, and unwavering support for each other's professional endeavors. Truly, they are the epitome of 'fitness goals' and relationship goals rolled into one!

any thougets on Kirubai and Paingili who relaved be sethu's adoptive parents?
I'll be honest, I really enjoyed the original and it was complete on its own, so I come to this with a level of resentment of why another film?
it does add an element of tragedy with paingili as sethu's mother who is so heartbroken and angry with her son's descent into violence and gangsterism that she refuses to speak with him, especially given what his community and parents sacrificed. That felt the most interesting, but then having rewatched jigarthanda it makes it feel like it was an afterthought to link the films together and possibly set up for a third. it brings up a lot of questions within the narrative and the arc of Sethu of if he was raised by Kirubai and Paingili, why was there nothing in sethu's then characterization of being influenced by parents who experienced and witnessed state violence and the ethnic cleansing of an Adivasi community? That's because that was not something planned from the beginning and unless Karthik Subbaraj delves into this further in a third film (which i'm not hoping for)it just feels like a inauthentic trick.
It's struggle of the cinematic universes whether it be marvel or lokesh's where the subsequent films get constrained by the gimmick of cameos and easter eggs, not in its relation to the overall storytelling but these shallow surface level connections which can be fun, i love a good reference or callback but i feel like its become a spectacle now.

The Unveiling of Prabhudheva: From Comedy Hero to Directorial Maestro
As the versatile icon Prabhudheva celebrates his 51st birthday, it's an opportune moment to delve into his acting journey, often overshadowed by his prolific directorial ventures that have been gaining prominence.
Tumblr media
In the annals of Telugu cinema, the release of "Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana" in 2005 marked a watershed moment, reshaping the careers of its cast and crew. This transformative narrative not only propelled actor Siddharth to newfound fame but also bolstered the fanbase of its leading lady, Trisha. For Prabhudheva, the film marked a significant turning point as he transitioned from acting to directing, embarking on a trajectory that would see him helm projects starring Bollywood luminaries like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Ajay Devgn.
Prabhudheva's journey in Tamil cinema commenced with his mesmerizing dance moves and charismatic screen presence, earning him the moniker "Michael Jackson of India." However, it was his portrayal as a comedic protagonist in films like "Kadhalan" (1994) that endeared him to audiences, showcasing his flair for delivering nuanced humor.
Contrary to the conventional Tamil hero's trajectory, which often veers towards action-oriented roles, Prabhudheva carved a niche for himself in comedy dramas, forming a formidable partnership with renowned comedian Vadivelu. Their camaraderie in films like "Raasaiyaa" (1995) and "Manadhai Thirudivittai" (2001) birthed a unique brand of slapstick comedy that resonated with audiences, cementing their status as a legendary duo.
Even in the absence of Vadivelu, Prabhudheva's comedic prowess shone through in films such as "VIP" (1997) and "Minsara Kanavu" (1997), where his impeccable timing and screen presence left an indelible mark. Collaborations with stalwarts like Kamal Haasan in "Kathalaa Kathalaa" (1998) further showcased his versatility, proving his mettle beyond comedic roles.
However, Prabhudheva's return to acting post his directorial ventures witnessed a decline in his once-illustrious career. Despite endeavors like "Devi" (2016) and a foray into horror with Karthik Subbaraj, the spark of his earlier comedic brilliance seemed to have dimmed.
In hindsight, Prabhudheva's journey epitomizes the age-old adage of 'lost in search of gold,' wherein his pursuit of directorial acclaim may have inadvertently eclipsed his comedic legacy on screen. Yet, his indelible contributions to Tamil cinema as both an actor and a director remain etched in the annals of cinematic history, serving as a testament to his enduring legacy.

Thalapathy Vijay's last film to be directed by H Vinoth: Reports
Thalapathy Vijay, who is presently shooting for director Venkat Prabhu's 'GOAT', is likely to team up with director H Vinoth for his 69th film. As announced, his 69th film will be Vijay's last film before he takes up politics full-time. According to reports, H Vinoth met actor Vijay and narrated a story which seems to have impressed him. It is rumoured that his last film will be produced by DVV Entertainment, who bankrolled Jr NTR, Ram Charan and SS Rajamouli's 'RRR'.
Tumblr media
For Thalapathy Vijay's last film, filmmakers like Karthik Subbaraj, H Vinoth and RJ Balaji were in talks. Recently, Karthik Subbaraj announced his upcoming film with Suriya. Now, reports suggest that H Vinoth seems to have cracked a deal with Vijay. An official announcement regarding Vijay's upcoming film will be announced in the coming months.
It is said that Vijay might do a full-fledged political thriller as his last film, which could be a pre-cursor to his political entry. The 'Leo' actor announced that Vijay will contest in the 2026 assembly elections.
Vijay launched his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), earlier this year. The actor announced that he will enter politics full-time only in 2026 and will be involved in expanding his base for the next two years.
In his statement, he wrote, "According to me, politics is not just another job for me. It's a sacred job. Not just political heights, I understood that I need to learn the length and breadth of politics from my predecessors. I am preparing myself for it mentally. So, politics is not a hobby. It's my deepest desire. I want to involve myself completely. Hence, I will complete one more film that I committed to and become a full-fledged politician. This is how I'd pay my debts to the people of Tamil Nadu."
On the work front, Vijay is busy shooting for director Venkat Prabhu's 'GOAT', which is likely to release later this year or early next year.

Jagame Thandhiram (2021)
Written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj
There are certain movies that have the best soundtrack, best cast, amazing First half, But the second half of the movie is soooooo weak that it brings down the entire movie and remains a subject that is forgotten even by die hard fans.
