Having ldr thoughts today.

Of Shouto finding solace in an online friend he’s been messaging back and forth with since the end of middle school.

Who was so happy when he told her he was finally making irl friends and glad she could see the impact they’ve had on him, but worried that he’d slowly stop talking with her.

Who tried to hide that worry from him because it’s not like they’re dating so it’s not right for her to ask him to make her a priority. Never mind the fact she knows all his friends now and they’ve never slowed down in frequency of messages even though they’re well into their 20’s. Insecurities are stupid like that

But she really doesn’t need to worry, because to him she’s not just a priority, she’s the priority.

He remembers every little thing she’s ever shared with him, sends care packages with handwritten notes to her monthly, saves up his own pocket money so he can buy plain tickets to visit her someday.

She’s his first true friend, and when he finally meets her face to face he hopes to make her his wife

I love projecting onto Vaxleth, so the other day I thought about a Long-Distance Relationship AU.

These are some of the HCs that came up from a brainstorming session with the lovely @crispysnake (there are more, if anyone is interested):

Keyleth and Vax are in a long-distance relationship. He’s in Emon, and she travels a lot between Zephrah, Pyra, Vesrah, and Terrah.

Keyleth and Vax call each other every night before bed and stay on the phone until one of them falls asleep. 

They do video calls every weekend and watch movies together. 

Keyleth is always the first to fall asleep, so Vax takes many screenshots of her sleeping in the weirdest positions and shows her the next morning.

The first time they meet in person, Vax is surprised because Keyleth is taller than him, and he never realized how tall Keyleth was until he stood next to her.
