Wei Wuxian’s relationship with Jin Ling is one of my favorite parts of MDZS.

Yeah Jin Ling is reasonably wary, reasonably angry, after all he’s been told time and time again that Wei Wuxian murdered both of his parents in cold blood. But then time passes and the picture that people drew of Wei Wuxian doesn’t quite match up with the real thing.

Here we have a kid who is positively aching for affection, who was raised to be standoffish and even cruel to those around him if it meant getting further ahead, who has no friends but a dog, and yet, we see how much he changes, all for the better, simply by having Wei Wuxian come into his life.

Then Wei Wuxian saves Jin Ling again and again and again. Then Wei Wuxian makes sure to teach him, and listen to him. Then Wei Wuxian speaks to him with unmistakable affection, freely given.

Jin Ling still has his thorns, in the end, but he can’t help but drift to Wei Wuxian’s side, and Wei Wuxian in turn will always keep his arms open, happy to have Jin Ling in his life as more than just a remnant of his beloved shijie’s memory.

Older people who are disabled have got to start understanding that it’s a lot different of an experience when you’re younger and disabled. I’m tired of them brushing it off and talking about their disability that they gained with aging or at an older age. It’s not the same social, economic, interpersonal, or doctor experience at all when you’re 20 compared to 45+ years old.

Just canceled all of my future therapy appointments. Big fudgin’ bummer. Did I mention I lost my insurance? Didn’t even find out about that until the day it lapsed. Hi so I thought I’d share some info about the new DAMN audio in regards to the timeline!

This audio has to come before Gavin’s confession audio because of the now removed house party audio! The house party audio came before the confession audio (both in terms of when it was posted and in terms of the timeline) and in that house party audio the elementals are in attendance (we get an appearance from Lasko and a mention of Damien)

I’m assuming the use of the term partner is a result of Gav and FL not having discussed their relationship and partner is the easiest way to introduce someone to your friends.
