This little boy; this tiny piece of him and Sakura that took nearly ten whole months to come; this child was his everything.

And he will do anything to protect them.

Couple gaaleesakuino thoughts

Naruto asks Sakura why she's being so friendly with Gaara for no apparent reason (Naruto is oblivious as always). Sakura cheerfully informs him that she's Gaara's sister-bride! Horrified Naruto laments her definitely being forced to join Gaara's harem. Sakura corrects his thoughts after laughing her ass off. Gaara's her brother-husband, too silly! They're both married to Lee! (Gaara came up with the term during one of his maaany one-on-ones with Ino. She, on the other hand, is his 'sister-double-in-law')

Because of *cough* some bullshit *cough* I mean. Good!Orochimaru research, or Sakura's own ingenuity, Metal Lee is gaalee's bio son, even though both his fathers are transmasc, while Inojin is sakuino's bio son, even though both of his mothers are transfem. The kids are both cross-adopted, of course, plus Shinki is their adopted sibling! Still, step?-brothers Metal and Inojin. (Does this technically make Inojin be Shikadai's step-cousin?? Idk. I've tried my best with other headcanons etc but shipping characters in all the different eras (founders, naruto adjecent, boruto era) have made it near-impossible for me to avoid distant incest. A ramble for another post.)

Ino is still a clan heir, of a clan that resides in Konoha and has very strong ties with it through the Akimichi and the Nara. Gaara, as the Kazekage, could pull rank and diplomacy and allow Ino to move to Suna, sure, but Ino loves her clan! And Gaara loves Suna.. I think that Gaara and Lee would be primarily based in Suna (with Shinki and Metal as well) while Sakura and Ino (and Inojin) live mainly in Konoha, but with many many trips and stays and missions and international assignments etc. Sakura and Ino staying in Suna for a couple months "to help with the hospital and mental health infrastructure". Lee and Gaara visiting Konoha every festival and stuff like that.

That's not to say Lee and Sakura don't get their time together! Joint missions for sure, but sometimes only the one of them will visit the other's country, leaving Gaara/Ino behind. They've got fewer clan/political obligations to uphold, so they don't have to worry about excuses nearly as much. They love each other very very much and are suuuper married.

Surnames-wise.. I think Sakura takes the Yamanaka name. Ino keeps her as clan head. Gaara doesn't actually *have* a family surname. Rock Lee would take Haruno, but since Sakura doesn't keep it.. He'd take Yamanaka, too, since he's technically married to one now (Yamanaka Sakura!), but in the end, he stays with his own. What is it, you ask? Hatake, of course! Hatake Rock Lee. So Gaara copies Sakura and takes Lee's surname. Hatake Gaara!!! Kids are Hatake Shinki, Hatake Metal Lee, and Yamanaka Inojin.

MultiSaku Family stuff (p. 1)

NaruSaku: BFFs to Lovers to Family. Sakura is half a Tsundere but we all know she can be romantic. Naruto is the child Sakura is looking after along with Shinachiku, Hanami and Arashi. They get scolded by Sakura a lot (especially Hanami). They go to festivals together and even have a movie night and it's always Arashi's turn to choose the movie. Always.

SasuSaku: we all know how they started but meeeh. What's in the past stays in the past. They both support Sarada and train her so she'll be able to be the next hokage. Sakura is the boss in the house, no one move, talk, breath or live without her permission. They also have boy twins: Sachihiro and Seichihiro (first one's source is google, the second one is just me being useless). Siblings fight are pretty bad, they mostly happen because Sasuke only has one hand and all three kids want to hold it. Sakura holds it in the end tho.

SaiSaku: looking back at it now, Sai is proud of naming his son Saku. He had grown up to be a short-tempered guy with one hell of a strength. He also took his dad's art skills. Family moments are usually Sai teasing Sakura with Saku being happy with his parents or Sai teaching Saku different art styles. They both come to Sakura's office and bring her lunch and she's always happy to see them.

LeeSaku: A scary daughter. Sakura and lee's taijutsu. Adding Sakura's temper and Lee's love for competitions,Sakura's inner and monstrous strength and Lee's heart. This child could beat the daylights out of a whole army. That's Ruka Lee for you (ft. Random names generator). Family moments will be either running around konoha's outerwalls or chilling and talking about youth.

Nejisaku: shit that child is going to be the star of his/her class. Mostly his. He's a well behaved kid with a big mind and great strategies. Neji is going to act strict but he cares deeply about his only child. Sakura is the proud mother. Her son is at the to of his class soooo. If you need tips about ANYTHING go to this family right away.

Wanted to make this longer but I got lazy and ran out of ideas. It's kinda bad but I'm still pretty proud of it. If you have suggestions write them in the commentsss.

Ahhh I'm a lil shy about this but I'm really excited for this event 😭 I don't know why but out of all the ships I really fell in love with leesaku!!! They have a lot of parallels that could be expanded upon (flower symbolism, coming from non-clans, hard work/admiration, healing, weaknesses and strengths, affects of bullying, breaking out of their shells, etc) which imo would've been very beneficial for both characters in their development and could've (honestly) been one of the deepest and most influential relationships in shounen anime. I tbh thought they'd end up together simply from how their character designs complimented each other and just from their interactions (seriously, "I will protect you till death do us part". Come on 💀) and how he pretty much catalysed the growth of sakura in that blooms episode. I also adore the dork/hot-headed and injury-prone/medic dynamic sjsjsj. Not that I mind sasusaku since it's interesting in its own way too but this would've been a more healthier alternative imo!!

Ahhhhh their parallels is something I love about them too and you listed every single one that I adore! I can't help but think about how much they could relate to each other and bond over these similarities they have, especially in regards to their childhood bullying and struggles to find strength as shinobi. (Billboard-brow and Bushy-brows? C'mon. A match made in heaven.) I too wish it could have been explored and I think you're right that if they did they could have ended up being an iconic bond across shonen. Ah, it hurts to imagine what could have been. </3

As a kid I was also convinced they were end game because of how well their color schemes worked together and how significant their bond was during the Chunin Exams. xD I imagine you were just as confused as me when Lee faded into the background right after and you also sat around waiting for Lee and Sakura to interact meaningfully again lol.

I am also totally a sucker for the healer/injury-prone dynamic, and specifically how they have a 'he promises to protect her from danger' while 'she uses her hot-headedness to protect him from being bullied (because he's too polite for his own good)' dynamic.

"I'm sorry that I was so mean to you when we first met," Sakura said, nuzzling into Lee's shoulder as they lay on the sofa. "I shouldn't have been so rude, and I definitely shouldn't have insulted your eyebrows."

Lee just hugged her tighter. "It is all right, Sakura. It was my own fault for approaching you so brazenly. I deserved all of the things you said."

"No, you didn't," Sakura replied. "I know what it's like to be made fun of because of how you look, so I knew how it felt, but I did it anyway."

Lee looked down at her, aghast. "Someone made fun of you? But you are so beautiful!"

"Of course you think that," Sakura said with a laugh. "But a lot of the kids at the Academy had different opinions, especially about my massive forehead."

Lee frowned, then tilted his head down and gently kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry that happened to you," he said. "Your forehead is beautiful, just like the rest of you."

Sakura's eyes fluttered closed as she whispered, "Thank you, Lee."

Where do people get the idea that a leesaku kid would be op with the 100 healings and the 8 gates when both jutsu have opposing effects, did they want the kid to have an early death or something?

That's true, that combination isn't really something they'd be able to use very frequently at all. To use the 8 Gates which tears your muscles apart, and then the Creation Rebirth which heals you but shortens your life span, should only be done very sparingly.

SasuNaru and HinaIno are bffs.

KibaHina, SakuHina and NejiNaru are "clan rivals". I have a little drawing about that to finish.

TemaTen and GaaSaku CANNOT stand each other. SasuGaa is the biggest pain in GaaHina's (and most of Suna tbh)'s ass.

OroJira and DanTsuna are, obviously, also bffs.

InoTema loves ShikaTema and ChoTema like her own sisters, but HATES leading them most of the time and is basically forced to for the clans.

SasuIno and SakuTema are slowly becoming soulmates by bonding through trauma, and SasuSai wants nothing more than see them happy.

LeeSaku is SasuNaru's private teacher, she respects him a lot and is becoming like another sister to him.

LeeSaku was DanTsuna's student.

SakuTen (is a med nin) takes AnkoRin as an example of what she DOES NOT want to become and admires DanTsuna.

OroJira doesn't resent the fact that people clearly like DanTsuna more than them, it doesn't even bother them, but it does bother DanTsuna who knows OroJira's skills.

SasuNeji hates all Hyuugas, but his sister SasuHina :3c - he bitterly tolerates NejiLee and NejiTen.

This is it for now, most other relationships still feel kinda vague :)

LOOK AT MY BABIES I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Yozora, Takumi and Aishi are my LeeSaku kids! They are designed for this story but really, every time I’ll write LeeSaku from now on, those are the kids I’ll use. Aishii means beloved, dearest, Takumi means skillful, adroit, and Yozora means night sky. Yozora is also a trans girl!
