Reclusive and prefers to be alone or with a single person. Has a Tsundere attitude that hides a sweet-to-a-fault personality. They are inexperienced much in live due to protective upbringings. Her personality also stems from her exploitable disorders. Rosey has depression, anxiety and autism spectrum disorder. Socially she is in a word, Fucked. It has taken many years of work for her to be a social as she is today, even if she finds the results less then ideal. Rosey does not see much worth in herself. She hides it well.

Relationships

Kanato Sakamaki:

In the #sakamaki verse, Rosey takes the place of Yui as the sacrificial bride. Rosey tries to avoid all the sakamakis at all cost, not knowing her purpose inside the house. However she bonds with Kanato with a shared love of sweets. It doesn’t hurt she finds him very attractive when he’s not throwing a hissy fit. Rosey usually just follows along with Kanato on a given day to prevent his temper. Eventually this blossoms into a romance.

Azusa Mukami:

In the #mukami verse, Rosey takes the place of “Eve”. Like with the sakamakis, Rosey does start out avoiding the Mukamis. However with the brothers being more….reasonable —in a word— she is more open with all of them, and finds herself most attracted to Azusa. Rosey’s secret obsession with beautiful art pieces leads her to observing Azusa’s knife collection quite often with Azusa not far behind. This Mutual respect and love for observing things that are beautiful blossoms into a romance.

Rosey grew up isolated with protective parents. Most of her time was spent reading, writing, drawing and roller skating on her family’s property. When Rosey turned eighteen, her parents died in a freak accident and was left with selling the property, most of her own personal items, and living on the street. One day the church took pity on her and she became a custodian. Due to her stunted social growth and lack of belief in god, Rosey was sent away to live in a mysterious mansion….

What sort of stuff do you make a point of including when changing Strahd's diary?

I've never been fond of 5e's handout, it feels far more like a lore drop than a personal diary, and while using I, Strahd would be nice, I've made too many changes to the lore to use it as is. (not to mention that my players and I are all busy, and won't have the time to read a full novel)

I've outlined the key elements that need to be included, I just need to pad it out a bit.

Introduction to Alek and Rahadin, the two working and training together

Meeting Tatyana:

Introducing our sexy lamp

Passing mention of Sergei giving up his place in the clergy for her

Focus on Tatyana's physical traits, her hair in particular. As much as the lamp thing is a joke, she isn't important to Strahd as a person, only a prize. As Strahd is really the only source of information on Tatyana for the party, she doesn't really get much in terms of development.

Alek has raised concerns once again about the assassin

Tatyana & Sergei, Wedding Prep:

Night Before the Wedding:

Strahd is starting to hear whispers

Alek and Rahadin have been patroling the castle, questioning the guards, etc.

Wedding Night Aftermath:

Quiet castle, only him and Rahadin alive.

Some sacrifices had to be made, but Alek is still alive, gifted to Rahadin, so that the two can remain brothers.

Alek died as he does in I, Strahd, but is the first Strahd brings back from the dead. He botches it though, and Alek returns as a Nosferatu, rather than a spawn. Strahd is denying the problem, shrugging off the issue as best as he can. He's good at it.

Meeting Marina:

The only section I've fully written out so far, but still up for revisions.

I returned to Castle Ravenloft late yesterday evening with no issue. Rahadin was right, the girl looks exactly like my dearest Tatyana did, with the same red hair and bright eyes. I do not think I know the entirety of what happened to her in the years since her death in the Mists, but she did not remember who she, or perhaps more importantly, Sergei or I, was.

Now, she goes by Marina, and is the adopted daughter of the burgomaster in Berez, Lazlo Berezovich, who plans to marry her in just a few years. Of course, i cannot have such things happen to Tatyana, no matter what name or face she wears now, and I have already begun to teach her of her old life. She seemed invested, though that might simply be due to the prospect of minor nobility taking romantic interest in her. Still, even with having only spent a night with her, the results seem promising. My brother will not have any influence this time, and at long last, Tatyana will finally be mine.

Rahadin also brought news of the Abbot, the “angel” having taken up residence in the old monastery in Krezk, where I had found Leo Dilisnya. While Tatyana is of the highest priority, I will have to visit Krezk soon, to finally welcome our newest guest. Even if his healing magic has been greatly exaggerated, his presence should provide at least some degree of entertainment for myself, and perhaps some assistance for Barovia’s people.

Death of Marina:

Most recent event in journal, so that it works out when Strahd leaves the diary buried under the monument to Marina. A good segment of unmarked pages are left at the end of the journal.

spends her entire childhood traveling country to country, state to state - continent to continent; rarely sticks around in one place, and never long enough to make lasting friends.

(Meanwhile back at Balan's hideout)

"Oh no…" Iben said as she sat the newspaper down on the desk. "So Aria lost someone dear to her… I know exactly what that's like…" She sighed sadly, remembering that tragic day when she lost her parents around Christmas. Her eyes landed on a small note that was sitting on Aria's desk. Curious, she picked it up and read the words:

He had to go, Aria.

"Hmm, something smells fishy," Iben said. "Should I tell the others this?" She looked at the Tims. The furry creatures looked at each other before they nodded. Then, they hopped toward the training room. Iben followed along, holding the note in her hand.

When she made it back to the training room, Kaylo, Mei, Rebecca, Ava, and Trisha Jane were still there. But they were sweating and breathing heavily. "Wow, you four trained really hard!" Cass exclaimed to them. "I wonder how long you guys have been training?"

"Who knows?" Rebecca asked. "But training sure is tiring."

"Iben, what's that you got there?" Yuri asked, looking at the note.

"This was from Aria's office," Iben explained. "It was regarding her late husband…"

"Aria used to be married?" Kaylo asked. "What happened?"

"It said in the newspaper that her husband died in a factory explosion." Iben frowned at the note. "But this letter here suspects that foul play was involved."

"Foul play?" Trisha Jane asked, gasping in shock. "Th-That can't be true, can it?"

(Meanwhile with Purrla)

Purrla groaned in frustration. "I'd searched everywhere for those four and yet I still can't find them!" She complained. "Where could they possibly be!?" Purrla suddenly stopped when she heard it: the sound of a ruckus going on from Lance's hideout.

"Oh dear!" Purrla said. "I hope my boss is not in trouble!" She went inside, regardless of knowing that Lance wouldn't be happy to know that she failed her orders.

She rushed to where Lance was and gasped. In front of her was Reala and Jackle attacking Lance. Her boss was doing everything in his power to fight back.

"Hand us the drink, Lance!" Reala demanded. "Master Wizeman needs it for his goals."

"Never!" Lance said. "I won't give it, ever!" While he was busy clashing against Reala and Jackle, Lance didn't notice one thing: Aria had discreetly taken the key out of his pocket. She then snuck past Lance and walked through the crowd, a victorious smirk was on her face.

Aria met up with Balan, Marina, Debbie, NiGHTS, and Leo. "I found something," Aria said. "It's a key to someplace that's most likely here in Lance's hideout. During my little conversation with him, he told me some useful information."

"Did Lance tell you what he put in that drink?" Leo asked.

"Fortunately, he did." Aria placed her hands on her hips. "He uses a strange potion called Forgetfulness. All he does is add the right amount into the drink and people will forget about the problems they faced back in the real world."

"So, it's settled," NiGHTS said. "We need to find that potion so we could find a cure!"

Happy STS! What are your characters' favorite songs? Bonus: Why that song?

Happy sts this one was GOING to be on time but SOMEONE had a birthday party (<- glaring at my stepbrother rn) and my computer died while i wasn't using it so everything i wrote out got erased.

It was a bit of a challenge separating what I associate the character with vs what I think the characters would listen to but I think I got it

Starting with Logan, I think he'd like Little Moth by Chloe Moriondo. Not necessarily that he resonates with the lyrics but that he connects them to the other kids (particularly Dylan, Jaxon, Ryan, or Elliot)

In my head, Leo is a Mother Mother fan. I don't know why. Vibes alone. I think Burning Pile or Hayloft II she would especially listen to. Sort of related but she's got an mp3 player that she's downloaded a Lot of songs on lol

I had trouble with Cass since her playlist on my spotify is small and full of songs that are instrumental and I was trying not to answer with instrumental songs. Two Birds Regina Spektor gives very Leo and Cass energy though

Had trouble with Lily too. She has a very specific vibe so I was torn between a softer sounding one or something else. I think she'd like marina. I picked Anything Adrianne Lenker as a solid answer though

For Jaxon I did Race by Alex G but specifically timeskip Jaxon. The "You're starting to look really weird" line also really sounds like him and Leo and I think he would enjoy the energy the song has in general

Dylan lore time: Not to let Dylan hijack this post but about a year ago last summer when I was outlining forget me not, I was this close to cutting Dylan because in all the versions up until this point, they were essentially the same character as Elliot. Aside from design. They were literally made to be sort of a parallel to Elliot in the draft they first appeared in. like superman bizarro world sort of thing. So I wasn't going to keep them, but I was attached regardless so I decided to keep them in and see if they would develop over time on their own. In forget me not, Dylan gets maybe like. ten scenes total. And I remember about three chapters where they were the focus. Their debut chapter (chapter 6), the one they had with Elliot (chapter 12), and that one towards the end (chapter 24). They barely had any lines, I barely knew anything about them that I didn't also know about Elliot (I still struggle sometimes with what is an Elliot Thing and what is a Dylan Thing) Chapter 24 (out of THIRTY) was the only chapter where Dylan was the pov character the whole time, so I used that to really quickly bullshit a backstory for them, as well as a bit of magic development. I'm sort of retconning it right now because I made it up really quick and didn't think very hard about it (my bad tbh) BUT that little tiny bit of character development, the crumbs if u will, put Dyl as one of the focus characters for dahlia. Them and Elliot being so similar in development made them both naturally work as characters who got along really well, and their friendship in forget me not had a bit of an arc in the background, but since I hadn't done much with Dylan's character yet I didn't really have any ideas for how their arc in the second part of dahlia would go. I listened to the song when I was trying to find songs to add to Cass's playlist and I was just adding every song that had a flower name like a madman without listening to them. The only other thing I knew about Dylan was that they Like Gardening (that's where I had them in chapter six lol) so when I actually listened to the song itself, Dylan's arc sorta just. happened. Pleased to announce that Dylan has been upgraded to Major Character status and gets a lot of screentime now.
