Megamind AU || Drac & Honey

The Castle that had stood outside of Sea Coast City had been there for as long as anyone had known, however no one dared enter it or the grounds save for the few brave and very stupid souls that never came out. There was a distant howling of what one hoped were wolves but easily could have been werewolves. The full moon shone upon the dark stone of the castle and the panes of the windows glittered like diamonds.

Inside the castle vampires of the court that hid itself away from the world moved quietly through the corridors. Gaslights lined the halls and other early modern conveniences had been introduced. Indeed electricity hummed through the castle though at a time Dracula himself had called it merely magic until it had become more common knowledge. The man himself was watching the hum and flow of the people that called his castle home, beside him his faithful assistant, “Fabian while it does my heart gladness to know my people are safe, and all is well in the world. I can’t help but wonder when the day to day, century to century will change. Yes we get the occasional hunter, or foolhardy troop of scientists that make their way in and are dispatched with posthaste. I feel a need to change something, I don’t know yet what it is.” The thick Slavic accent didn’t obscure his words. However they did tell anyone he was not a native, while the city didn’t know when the castle had appeared it had appeared not long ago in the eyes of a vampire a century wasn’t long at all.

“A cat and mouse game, but I want so much more than a morsel at the end of it.” Dracula said decidedly. “Do you think you could procure such a,” quarry wasn’t the right word. “Adversary?”
