Sitting across a bar, staring right at her prey

Mike had noticed you looking at him for the past 10 minutes from where you sat at your side of the bar.

"Another beer for you sir." The bartender said, setting another glass of his almost empty beer in front of him.

"I didn't--," Mike started, but the bartender shook his head.

"She did." He said and nodded towards you.

When Mike looked at you again you tipped your head slightly and raised your glass up. From the dim lights in the bar, he could almost make out the lust in your eyes as you smirked.

Maybe after being with Alice for so long, he still got it?

Getting out of his chair he grabbed his drink and moved to you. "Anyone sitting there ma'am?"

"Hopefully you will." Your voice was laced with lust, and he sat down, moving close.

He was embarrassed to say that he was willfully out of practice when it came to flirting. It had been so easygoing when he was with Alice. But now...he had no idea what he was doing.

"Just relax, sir. I won't bite...hard."

So of course none of the SVU yanderes you write for respond well to a romantic rival. But how would they respond to it if you were already dating someone before you met them? Who would take it “best”, relatively speaking? Who takes it worst?

Sonny Carisi would probably take it the best. He knows he's got this boyish charm and he can definitely kill your s/o with kindness. He knows you belong with him (and he's convinced you know deep down, too) so he doesn't lose sleep over it.

Mike Dodds is next. He's not great at losing but he has plentiful resources at his hands thanks to his dad. He can bribe your s/o, threaten them or even put out a hit on them. Eventually, he'll weasel his way into your life to be your shoulder to cry on.

Rafael Barba is not going to take this very well. He's definitely going to lose sleep over figuring out how to make you his and get your s/o out of the picture. He is very intelligent and determined, fatal traits in a yandere. Good luck.

Nick Amaro is going to beat up your s/o and leave them for dead on the sidewalk. Your s/o is going to get killed or at least very badly injured. The law? What law? In Nick's book, there is no law that concerns him when it comes to his loved ones.

Not a request but rather a curious question; how would our SVU guys react to having a young daughter, most likely from a one night stand or past relationship, they didn’t knew about until a case involves them? (As a victim, witness, etc) would they want full custody? I’m just a random anon who’s just curious. :)

very interesting question! i think them wanting custody would generally depend on how competent they view the mother to be/how safe they think she can keep the daughter. it also might depend on the age of the daughter.

Nick Amaro would definitely want to be in the daughter's life, but worried about getting custody because he already has Zara and Gil that he juggles custody of. He would love to have her on weekends and he wants his kids to get along with each other of course. He would also probably not be surprised to have someone from a past relationship to come forward with another child, since it happened with Gil. He would also get a paternity test though, just to be sure.

Rafael Barba would be very surprised. He would be happy, because he always secretly wanted a child but thought he was too old. He would also be very worried not only because his daughter somehow wound up involved in a case, but also because he's worried about being a bad father (like his own). He would communicate with the mother on what would be best for her and the daughter, whether that means him having custody on weekends or only seeing her occasionally.

Sonny Carisi would be SO fucking excited. He would also feel regret for the years of his daughter's life that he missed. He would talk with the mother but would want a split custody agreement, maybe one week on and one week off. He would bring her over to Amanda's house a lot, hoping his daughter might bond with Jesse and Billie. He would definitely internalize his guilt, and his family would be upset that he didn't know about/wasn't involved with his daughter from the beginning.

Mike Dodds would also be really happy, but sad that he didn't have the opportunity from the beginning. His father would (of course) get involved, offering the mother money to transfer Mike's daughter to a private school and to move them into a better neighborhood. Mike would love custody, but would want his daughter to decide. Either way, he just wants what's best for her.
