Stabbing vs. Impalement: Incorrect Quote

Loosely based off of an irl Discord convo I had earlier today (og convo posted below). It just gave me incorrect quotes vibes, so here ya go.

Heathcliff: you can’t stab with a blunt object Jackson: yes you can Jackson: if you try hard enough Matilda: THAT'S WHAT IMPALEMENT IS Heathcliff: the only reason why he was impaled was because an explosive gave it enough force to go through his eye socket Ruby: impalement implies that a very large object passes all the way through someone or something Ruby: stabbing is just piercing flesh Ruby: stabbing can only go part of the way through someone Matilda: but you could stab someone with a blunt object Heathcliff: also impalement is nearly always fatal, but stabbing isnt Matilda: if you had the right amount of force Matilda: not saying it's easy or likely Matilda: just it's possible Heathcliff: you would need an obscene amount of force Heathcliff: also stabbing usually needs human involvement i.e. you cant be stabbed by something that wasnt in the hands of a human, yours or anothers Heathcliff: but you can be impaled by an object just sitting there Jackson: i do agree with that Heathcliff: henceforth Heathcliff: phineas gage wasn't stabbed Heathcliff: he was impaled Heathcliff: the tamping rod only entered his skull because the gunpowder ignited on accident Duncan: what is wrong with you guys Julio: so Julio: Peanuts in water then?

i just remembered when i was a kid there was this book series called "N.E.R.D.S." about this kid who was super popular until he got braces and then he became a secret agent with the other unpopular kids

the first book ended with one of them being a traitor and then dying and the other agents are like "we'll just erase everyone elses' memories of him"

Hands down Ridley and Ruby would be best friends, their both angry little gremlins in my mind.

Izzy and Olly think Flinch is the coolest thing since sliced bread.

I don't know why, but I think Carter and Jackson would get along well. it's possible both could bond over their broken home life, before finding a group that accepts them.

Leila and Duncan are the groups little bats, sharing a love of being on surfaces that aren't the ground; mainly the ceiling.

You have to be a special type of person to be friends with Heathcliff; Izzy seems to be that type of person, once Heathcliff and her get some time to the two of them.

It surprises the N.E.R.D.S. team that Matilda makes friends with Theo, the Misfits aren't as surprised Matilda and Ridley having some clear similarities.

Novel Length Ideas I'm Working On!

So now that I know how to plan my stories, I'm planning them!

I bought some of those clear folders that you can just slip your papers through to organize everything and I have a folder for each.

I've had many, many, many stories over the years, but these are the ones I've decided to focus on.

Not Another Paranormal Romance

Loved the idea for this one and really want to continue with it. You can read the short story I wrote from this idea here, here and here!

Diary of an Ex-Witch

A recent idea (like a week old or so) Was definitely inspired by reading the Bible and understanding a few things about GOD a bit better.

Time Warp/ Rewind

Name is pending. This is an idea I had when I was 17 and I absolutely HAVE to write this! Especially since I've gotten so many new ideas for it! It will be about two 3rd formers (13 to 14-year-olds) who mysteriously travel back in time to the week before they were cruelly pranked by their peers.

K.I.D.S

This was a story idea from when I was 15, heavily inspired by my favourite series at the time, N.E.R.D.S by Michael Buckley (I still have and read all the books to this day!)

This story grew in originality as I got older and it went from being about exceptional kid spies (veeeerrrry similar to N.E.R.D.S) to regular kids unintentionally caught up in the secrets and drama of the hidden. I'm still working on organising my thoughts for this one, especially since I plan for it to be a trilogy.

I do plan to work on some short stories, both to share with you and to exercise my writing muscles. I may also share some snippets of writings based on these novel-length ideas. I find that writing shorts featuring your characters are a good way to get to know them.

That famous novel that no way someone as high and mighty as them know the story, they know, not because they read it, no, it's because Cyno just don't shut up about it.

And now Yelan began a collection of D20s just because it's a cool dice and just to have it.

They also can't look at a cryo slime near a water pool without remembering Cyno's joke and it's a curse.

honestly when I heard the stuff about him making jokes it all I could think of. And it reminded me I used to have this book called like N.E.R.D.S can't remember what it stood for but in that my favorite character (who probably should be included in my gay awaking) was a girl who went from pagent queen to assassin to assassin. And she had this obonionious laughed that made everyone else laugh (it wasn't a super power it was just how she laughed)

But It really seems like Cyno is a little keep on the outskirts of Sumeru society just because of his position with in the Akademiya. Which I imagine would be pretty lonely. Specially if he had some kinda of niche hobbies.

So I think I am honestly really hoping he can fit into the brigade. Because I can only imagine how happy he might be finding people like him.

(Also Diluc's humor is busted so I imagine he's actually enjoy Cyno's joke but be totally straight faced about it it's great.)
