Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose biography
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was a prominent Indian nationalist leader, who was a pivotal participant in the Indian rebellion to fight British rule. Bose was born the 23rd of January of 1897 in Cuttack, Orissa, India.
Bose had a formal education at England where he was certified as an attorney. But, he was profoundly affected by his experience with the Indian nationalist movement, and decided to go back to India.
In the 20th century, Bose was elected a president in the Indian National Congress, but Bose did not agree with the non-violent methods that were employed by Mahatma Gandhi as well as the Congress management. Bose was repeatedly detained for his political actions However, Bose continued to fight to secure Indian independence.
The 1930s were the time when Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose created the Forward Bloc an organization within the Congress which was in favor of an aggressive approach to the fight for independence.
Bose also traveled to Europe and visited with politicians and sought out support for the Indian Independence movement. In World War II, Bose created his own Indian National Army (INA) with the backing from the Axis powers. He declared the establishment of the “Provisional Government of India Free”.

Noida: The 23rd of January is celebrated as Parakram Diwas every year to inspire people of the country, especially the youth, to act with fortitude in the face of adversity as Netaji did, and to infuse in them a spirit of patriotic fervour.
“Way back in 2016 we launched Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Forum at Asian Academy of Film and Television to highlight the ideology of Netaji. Since then, we have been celebrating Parakram Day every year,” said Sandeep Marwah Chair for Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Forum.
Subhash Chandra Bose was an Indian revolutionary who believed in violent resistance to British rule. He joined the Indian National Army in 1943. One of his most famous declarations was ‘Tum mujhe khoon do mai tumhe azadi doonga’ -Give me blood, I shall give you freedom added Sandeep Marwah also President of Marwah Studios.
Sandeep Marwah repeated the quotes said by Netaji-One individual may die for an idea, but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a thousand lives- Freedom is not given, it is taken- Life loses half its interest if there is no struggle – if there are no risks to be taken- No real change in history has been achieved by discussion.
“Netaji’s ideology swept a new movement across the country. His goal of independence coupled with fearlessness and fortitude fueled patriotism in many people. His entry into Indian politics gave a new dimension to the freedom struggle in the country,” expressed Dr. Bhuvan Lal researcher on Netaji, film maker and a renowned writer while talking to the audience.
“His life is a great example of leadership from which modern Indian leaders can learn many lessons. He was enthusiastic, disciplined, selfless and inspiring leader with strong confidence on his own capability and a clear goal of independent India,” added Bhuvan Lal.
Later Sandeep Marwah presented a certificate of appreciation to Bhuvan Lal and handed over membership certificates of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Forum to the new members inducted. The event was supported by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry.

Biography of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose attended Protestant European School in Cuttack, which is now Stewart High School, along with his siblings. He moved to England after Presidency College to attend Cambridge University in order to prepare for the Indian Civil Service. He was successful in the Indian Civil Service preliminary test, but he decided to join Mahatma Gandhi's Indian Freedom Movement instead of taking the main exam.
He quit the Indian National Congress subsequently and founded the Forward Bloc in 1939 after having an ideological conflict with Gandhi ji and his supporters. His relentless protests and steadfast beliefs led to his imprisonment in July 1940. He was freed from prison after a protracted hunger strike caused his health to deteriorate. As a result, he was put under house arrest at his Calcutta residence. From there, he fled and made his way to Berlin through Moscow in order to raise an army and recruit the help of the Axis Forces in an effort to overthrow the British Empire in India.
