This year, sort of like last year, we had a picnic in the park! This time it was all KilluGon couples though. If you want to see all the things they did and how they interacted, check the Nendroid KilluGon blog on Twitter~ It’s all super cute fun!

Analysis on My Hero Academia’s anime figures: preferred character (Deku vs Bakugou vs Todoroki vs Uraraka)
This is the sequel of part 1!
To recap, BNHA has a relatively high number of released anime figures, especially compared to other very popular manga (in the millions of volumes sold). More in detail, even if it has less figures than Naruto, it has a higher rate of figure releases.
The characters with the most amount of figures were (in this order): Izuku, Bakugou, All Might, Todoroki and Uraraka.
I decided to take a step further and do three more things for these characters:
Check what type of figures each character had, as I suspected Funko Pops increased the numbers of All Might and Deku by a lot
Check how many sales each character does
Checking who was the buyers (male or female). (annoyingly, myfigurecollection only divides users in two genders)
TOO LONG TOO READ? HERE’S THE SUMMARY OF THIS POST Within series of figures, Bakugou was the highest selling in the majority of the cases.  Deku and Bakugou had comparable quantities of high quality figures (ex. Figma, Prize), but Deku and All Might had a higher amount of low price low quality (Funko). Bakugou was overwhelmingly bought by female owners. Todoroki was also preferred by female users. Uraraka was preferred by male users. Deku was divided almost equally. Nendoroids were the most sold figures, and Todoroki had the highest rate of purchase in Nendoroids.
ASSUMPTIONS
I used Myfigurecollection, I tried to not count doubles and drafts (which is why the numbers are slightly lower than part 1). For point 2) and 3) I considered "owned" as number of sales alongside "ordered", which meant that the number of sales is numbers owned + numbers ordered.

PART 1: TYPES OF FIGURES
With this more accurate calculation, we can see that Deku is still in the lead with more than 90 figures.

To check what types of figures each character had, I catalogued the figures in different subsections. I am not a figures expert and I got the most of my information for this division from here and here.
This is the division I chose (roughly from more expensive to least): Statue Bust Scale figures (example: ARTFJ X) Action figures (example: Figma) Prize figures (example: Age of Heroes) Nendoroids Funko (all types) World Collectable Figures (WCF) Blocks and craftables Other small figures (ex. Posket, Ninotan etc.)
This graph looks like a mess, but I'll explain!
Tumblr media
(high res pic)
In every row you see the 5 characters, in order of "most released figures" to least. Each color in the row represents a type of figure.
In blu, we have Nendoroids where only Deku and Bakugou have 2 releases, in orange we have the action figures that follow the releases we would expect from our prior knowledge (with Deku on top).
Then we have three types of grey up till black. In black we have the most expensive, the statue (Uraraka has none), in dark grey the busts (Bakugou is the one with the most busts =4), even lighter grey we have the expensive scale figures and in the lightest of grey we have the prize figures. As we can see, Deku has 29 prize figures versus 24 for Bakugou. All the other characters have at least 10 figures less. Regarding the scale figures, Deku has only one more than Todoroki and Bakugou, and All Might has the least amount (4).
The other numbers I find interesting are in light orange (a mix of other small figures and small prizes) and light blue (funko). As you can see, funko really increases the number for Deku and All Might, they are sometimes 3 times more than other characters or double. It definitely explain the drastic difference in figures between Bakugou and Deku. Deku also has a much higher number in small misc figures, which is definitely expected from a protagonist.
This graph shows a much lower difference in prize figures and scale figures between Deku and Bakugou!
PART 2: SALES
Now, I was mostly interested in PURCHASES. Sadly, the only way I had to find how much each figure sells is going through Myfigurecollection, figure by figure, and check how many saved the figure as "owned" or "ordered".
I decided to check this for figures that I knew were in a series, ex. Age of Heroes, where the quality and prize is comparable between characters. As All Might is rarely in these series, I decided to focus on Deku, Bakugou, Uraraka and Todoroki.
This is the raw data and the figures I chose:
Tumblr media
As you can see there's the nendoroid, one action figure (figma), 9 prize figures and one scale figure series. (NA means not available, so there was no character in that series or it is to be released). Here you can see the amount of sales for each character and each figure:
Tumblr media
(high res pic)
In the rows you will have the types of figures, and the colors are the characters (Blue for Todoroki, pink for Uraraka, orange for Bakugou and green for Deku).
We can immediately see that Nendoroid sells much more than other figures!
I'll describe row by row, but if you want to skip, then look for the word "Next Picture!" in the search bar.
In the top row we have the pre-orders for the soon to be released Amazing Heroes new Bakugou and Deku figures, where Bakugou's orders are more than the half of Deku's.
In the second row, we have one of the oldest figures the DXF and the sales are as we expect.
In the series Smash Rising, instead, Bakugou has the most sold figures, and the same in King of Artist and Texture.
Still another line down, in Amazing Heroes we Uraraka on top! Bakugo has the least amount of sold figures.
Pop Up Parade School Uniform has probably one of the cutest Uraraka I've seen, and in fact she is the one with the most sales, followed by Todoroki.
To summarize,
Bakugou was the highest selling in 5 cases (6 counting the pre release).
Deku was the highest selling in only 2 cases.
Uraraka was the highest selling in only 2 cases.
Todoroki was the highest selling in only 2 cases.
Now, Next Picture!
Because I was wondering if oldest figures maybe had higher sales (within the series, some figures release before and some after), I decided to calculate a rough "figure bought per day", simply dividing n of figures sold for the n of days the figures have been available.
Tumblr media
(high res pic)
Looking at the graph, we can see that even if Bakugou was the highest selling in 5 series (the majority), the rate of selling is different.
Todoroki has a highest rate of selling in 3 cases, Uraraka in 3 cases, Bakugou in 3 cases, on case where Bakugou and Deku were tied, and then Deku has the highest rate of selling in 2 cases.
Not sure how to interpret these data, if not that there is more variety for Bakugou and Deku (figures wise), than Todoroki and Uraraka. Still, rate =/= amount of figures sold.
If we look at those 6 figure series where we have a version for all the four characters, this is the distribution of sales:
(take into consideration that this is not a comparison/sum within series, but a sum with different series, ex. an action figure and a nendoroid).
NOW! Last part, I promise.
This is a simple of total sales. I ONLY checked those series that had all the four characters present, and I summed the total sales for each character.
3) WHO IS BUYING
Because I was surprised by how popular Todoroki was in sales, I decided to go and look at the women/men sales, so who is buying these figures.
There's no way to get the raw data of how many men or women buy each figure, but clicking on the "owned" stats you can get a simple bar to show if the majority of buyers are men or women. When the difference was clear seen I simply added the main buyers (if men or women, sadly no NB or others are available on the website). Basically, when the figure had majority female buyers I annotated an F, when it had majority male buyers I annotated an M.
As you can see, women were buyers more than men.
Tumblr media
In many case the difference between men and women was not very dramatic, when men were the majority of buyers. When women were, sometimes the difference was for more than half. As I said, I can't have the raw data, but if we take the Pop Up Parade School, Bakugou was owned by a number of women 3 times the number of men. The same happened for Deku and Todoroki (for Todoroki it was even more extreme).
In the case of Uraraka, the difference between male and female buyers was much smaller.
What was surprising was that the Texture version of Todoroki was mostly bought by men, which might explain why his sold numbers are lower than usual.
At this point I started wondered if Myfigurecollection was mainly used by female users, but checking the first 3 top100 figures and then other 4 random, all of them were overwhelmingly being bought by men, so I tend to think the website is used equally by women and men.
Reassured, I went on and decided to make this summary graph!
Tumblr media
As you can see, Bakugou was overwhelmingly having a majority of female buyers for each figure! This means that in the vast majority of cases seen, the stats of the figure showed more women buying it than men.
Todoroki was a close second, with also a majority of female buyers.
The opposite happened with Uraraka, who had a majority of male buyers, a unique case, as even Deku had a more even split.
Keep in mind that this is not actually a calculation of the numbers of people, but a summary of that calculation, as I did not have the actual numbers. This summary erases an important part of the data, which is that in some cases when F were in the majority... this majority was very big. While when M were in the majority, this majority was very small, so this data I am presenting is skewed towards men.
TO CONCLUDE
I think it definitely feels like the majority of figure buyers in BNHA are women, and they have a higher preference for Bakugou, while men preferred Uraraka.
Figma (action figures) were preferred by men, while Nendoroid were mainly preferred by women, while the rest was a mix
Bakugou has the highest amount of sold figures in the majority of cases (5, but they are 6 counting the Amazing Heroes preorders). At the same time, the rate of figures sold per day was pretty even (with Deku in last place)
