Thanks for asking and reading! I've (loosely) committed to one chapter a month. I think the fastest time between updates so far was three weeks, and the rest have been pretty much a month apart. I basically wanted to write longer chapters (we’re averaging about 12k+ per chapter at the moment, not including the prologue in chapter one), so the trade-off was less frequent updates, usually monthly. I have to give myself a bit of leeway on how strict that post schedule is as I’m trying to write my dissertation alongside it (writing fic as a hobby is a bit of a busman’s holiday lol), but I’ve kept to the schedule so far and optimistic I’ll be able to keep doing that going forward. Hope this is helpful! 🌟

Note that I was told directly, in public, in January of last year, that they'd be going to print "soon after preorders closed." Preorders closed at midnight on March 1, 2022. It's been over a year.

I have friends on this project who will never publicly post the work they did for it because it's been so long that their style has changed to the point that they can't be proud of their work for the project anymore. The mod team is selling misprints of at least one piece of merch designed for this project on their etsy, but the fanthology itself still doesn't exist. They announced they would be going into hard proofing "soon" almost exactly a month ago, and haven't updated since.

And nobody has said a thing. Nobody has called this out, at least not in public. I don't actually have a dog in this fight—I'm neither a customer nor a contributor, and I've already made a bit of a name for myself by calling out members of this team for other things, so I'm not eager to get into it. Just…what the fuck, man. The lack of respect for the contributors on that project. What the fuck.
