Shredder had pushed Leo back, and Raph caught her.

“Foolish turtles…” Oroku Saki stood up from his throne, his chromium armour making mechanical hissing noises, revealing mechanical wings and a sharp whip-like tail.

“Woah!”

“ew.”

“what the sewer cakes…?”

Mikey, Raph, and Leo all exclaimed at the same time.

“Cool!” Donnie grinned excitedly, earning a glare from his siblings. He held his bō with both hands and laughed sheepishly at them.

“I’ll get him!” Mikey exclaimed, throwing seeds at Shredder, his markings glowed orange as the plants grew rapidly, becoming thorny tendrils that wrapped around Shredder. He struggled against them, Mikey focused on holding him and yelled at Donnie, “Donnie, do your thing!”

“wha- My powers could level the whole block! Oh wait!” Don clicked his fingers and his markings glowed purple, “Super strength!” he yelled while running at Shredder.

“Wait—” Leo started, interrupted by Donnie's yelp as Shredder broke free of the plants and caught Donnie mid-air. they’re thrown back and Raph feels his blood boil as anger flashed in his eyes, glaring at Shredder and spinning his sais in his hands. He doesn't notice the fire building up in his hands until he jumps up and descends on Shredder, flames rolling out of his sais and roaring through half of the penthouse as Raph roared with equal furiosity. In the same moment the glass around the building shatters, boiling water bursting out of the indoor water tank. The water pools at their feet as the flames fade and Raph and Shredder stumble away from each other. The armour is remarkably unscathed, even from Raph’s sais.

“Oh come on!” Donnie exclaims, getting up from where he had fallen earlier.

“We need to get out of here,” Leo said, pulling on Raph’s shoulder, snapping Raph out of his stupor.

Raph followed his siblings home on autopilot, his mind replaying and replaying and replaying the moment fire surged from his hands. His hands. Fire. The rage he felt actualised.

He hadn't even felt it.

Back home Raph just stood in the old subway entrance, scratching his fishnet gloves subconsciously.

“What happened, my children?”

Raph barely heard Splinter or his siblings as they explained what had occurred. Splinter dismissed Leo, Mikey, and Donnie and they went to nurse their wounds. Raph watched them go to the kitchen, jumping when Splinter’s hand rested on his shoulder. Raph looked up at him.

“What is on your mind?” Splinter asked softly.

“It—” Raph choked up, “it's just my powers!” He looked at Splinter and gesticulated, his palms up.

“hm?” Splinter hummed, encouraging Raph to continue.

“It's just, so…destructive. I want to think it's cool, I know how cool it is, I-” Raph stopped abruptly as his voice broke and his eyes misted, “ugh, what's wrong with me?!” he made a disgusted look and looked up, trying not to cry.

“Nothing is wrong with you Raphael,” Splinter said, “you are scared. That's normal, and important.” Splinter kneels to Raph's level. “You are so brave, my child.”

Raph sobbed and Splinter pulled him into a hug, letting Raph cry over his shoulder.

“And it's important to cry. Crying actually releases endorphins—”

“Did Donnie tell you that?” Raph said, cracking a smile despite the tears running down his face.

“Hm,” Splinter grumbled, and after a moment they parted and Raph wiped tears off his face, looking embarrassed at the ground.

“Remember what I told you when you were scared of the bugs, when you were younger?”

“Kore wa… uh” Raph scratched his head.

“Nanimo—” Splinter started, joined by Raph a moment later, “imi shinai.”

“But this isn't bugs. Or monsters under the bed. It's…” Raph gestured vaguely.

Splinter nodded, stroking his beard a few times before replying, “fear is an important reminder Raphael, your mind knows you're in danger, and you must tell your mind: ‘yes, I am in danger, but I am in control.’”

Raph sighed and nodded, “hai, sensei.”

Splinter stood up and rested his hand on Raph’s head momentarily.

“Now, go talk to your siblings.”

“But—”

“They know more about this magic than I do. Talk to them.”

Raph looked towards the kitchen, hearing Mikey’s excited cries. Raph smiled and wiped his tears, moving towards them.

TMNT NEW: DESTINY SINOPSIS

So about a month ago i started developing my own version of TMNT. A "what would i do if i was given the oportunity to make a new tmnt show". And this is it! TMNT: NEW DESTINY! I'll be sharing my au through one shot with acompaning artwork. If you have any questions or comments you can send an ask and i'll be sure to answer. But first! some context!

The Foot Clan and the Hamato Clan had been enemies for centuries, the foot always trying to keep the Hamato Clan under their control. Even after ninjas were no longer needed the descendants of the Foot still held hatred for their ancestral enemy. After having his clan destroyed by the Foot, Hamato Yoshi moved to America to fullied the dreams of his wife. A few months into his new life in New York, Yoshi is kidnapped by the Kraang, who are researching their new mutagen. He is experimented on by them in the TCRI building, turning him into a rat mutant. 3 years after his kidnapping, Yoshi finds an opportunity to escape, but on his way out he finds the Kraang latest experiment. Four little turtle creatures, sitting like toddlers on the floor of a cell, all huddled together under a heat lamp, the four of them different sizes. The biggest one, clutching the rest close to them, like an older sibling would. As he tried to get them out, the biggest one started growling, protecting its siblings, but the smallest one freed itself from its siblings arms. It made its way towards Yoshi, who held his hand still, the little turtle looked at it for a second before letting Yoshi pet them. That seemed to earn the biggest one’s trust, and Yoshi was able to scoop them up and escape.

And so Yoshi took the four turtles to the only place he could think of to hide from the Kraang looking for them, the sewers. In there they built a home for themselves, he named each of the turtles after renaissance artists he read about in a book. The oldest, he named Leonardo, the smart one, he named Donatello, the cheerful one, he named Michelangelo, and the youngest, he named Raphael. In turn, they gave him a new name too, Splinter. A few years later, his oldest would confess to him that he wanted to be a girl. And so Leonardo became Leona, now much more confident and happy. Splinter decided to teach them the art of ninjutsu, as his clan did with him, to prepare them for the dangerous world of the surface.

Unfortunately for Splinter, the Foot Clan, operating in the shadows of Oroku Industries, started wreaking havoc in New York. And soon enough word of them got to the head of the Foot, the Shredder, who recognized Splinter’s technique as belonging to the Hamato Clan. And so he ordered his ninjas to find Splinter and his new Hamato ninjas. During their fights Leona meets Shredder’s daughter, Karai, a capable kunoichi around her age. And while the two of them would fight if Karai’s father ordered it, they still formed a sort of friendship over really not wanting to participate in this ancient clan rivalry. In many of their encounters with the Foot, a blonde girl gets herself trapped in the middle of the fight, leaving the turtles to have to keep her safe. It all came down to a final showdown, much to Leona and Splinter's protests, Donny, Mikey and Raph came with them, as the three of them would follow whether they had permission or not. Splinter went on his own to fight Shredder in one of Oroku Industries’ warehouses while Leona and her brothers took care of Karai and the foot soldiers at their headquarters.

While lurking around the Foot headquarters, the turtles found scrolls with instructions on how to perform a “Draining Jutsu”, one that allows the user to steal the life force of their opponent for themselves. Realizing what Shredder planned to do, Leona rushed to save Splinter. As she ran to the warehouse the blonde girl saw her and decided to follow. In the warehouse Splinter and Shredder fought fiercely and with incredible skill. When Leona got there, Shredder had already started performing the draining jutsu, pulling Splinter’s life force out of his body and into his. Acting quickly Leona cuts the jutsu with her katana, causing a blast that brings down the warehouse. Leona manages to get to Splinter, who’s fallen unconscious. As she tries to wake him up, she hears the sound of Foot ninja getting the Shredder out of the building.

She thinks all is lost, but to her surprise, the blonde girl she’d saved many times comes to their rescue. The two get Splinter to safety, Splinter’s eyes open a little confirming he’s still alive. As Leona stands up to go get her brothers, she asks the girl for her name. The girl introduces herself as April. Leona asks April to watch Splinter while she’s gone.

While Leona ran to help Splinter, the turtles stayed in the headquarters where they encountered Karai who attacked them with foot ninjas. During the fight, Karai realizes Leona is missing, and figures that Leona probably went to stop her father, so she orders her ninjas to capture the turtle. As they are being captured Raph throws a final shuriken cutting Karai’s hair. She orders the turtles to be locked in a cell, and she rushes to help her father. The boys look for any way out, but are unable to find one from the inside. Also Mikey was pretty beated cuz he took a lot of ninjas to defend Raph.

After being trapped for a few hours, Raph grew desperate and started yelling for his sister to come rescue them. Donny tried to get him to stop but Raph reminded him how Leona has never let them down, and continues to scream for his big sister. Leona gets to her brothers and the four escape to where Splinter and April are. They immediately rush Splinter home, where Donny starts checking up on him, to determine that he’ll in fact survive, but his overall health seems to be declining. And so the next month or so was spent constantly trying to keep Splinter alive, Splinter himself not fully waking up until a week after the showdown. April decided to stick around and help in any way she could, which became getting them stuff from the surface, so Leona wouldn’t have to go get it at night.

Leona, became the primary caretaker being the one making sure they were getting supplies, as well as being in charge of training, and keeping her brothers healthy. Donny first became focused with finding a way to keep Splinter from dying, then to improve his health to a stable level, and then to find a way to cure him completely. Mikey, on his part, decided that the best way to help was making sure Raph was taken care of, and making sure his little brother didn’t worry about the situation. But Raph is very aware of the situation and his siblings' constant shielding and babying gets on his nerves.

The draining jutsu left both Splinter and Shredder with insufficient life force, leaving them considerably weakened. But unlike Splinter, the Shredder has access to well trained mystic users who help him stay a lot more healthy.

After the showdown, Shredder, Karai and most of the Foot left New York, leaving the streets mostly empty aside from gangs like the Purple Dragons. Leona and her family spend two years working towards achieving a new normality. It’s when Leona, Donny, Mikey and Raph celebrate their 15, 14, 13, and 12 birthday respectively, where things start getting complicated again. As the Foot returns, and the TCRI building starts having some suspicious activity. But luckily for them, they’ll make new allies and old enemies will become friends.

Introducing! TMNT: The Clan Wars!

This is my iteration of TMNT!

Things you need to know:

In this AU, the Hamato clan and Foot clan have been at war for multiple generations.

Currently, the Hamato Clan is being run by Karai and the Foot Clan is being run by Oroku Saki, aka, the Shredder. (Duh). However, what’s fun about this is that these two are siblings. Having both been raised in the Hamato clan, this has turned a bit from a clan war to a sibling war.

In this iteration, Mikey, Donnie, Raph, and Leo were raised directly in the middle of the Hamato Clan. Therefore, they were taught Ninjitsu by Splinter, along with the help of other members of the clan who have been teaching it for years.

It isn’t till the boys reached the ages of 13, 14, and 15, that Splinter decides he’s had enough of this and leaves, taking the boys to the one place he has ever lived in BEYOND Japan, New York.

Splinter had left the Hamato clan when he first turned 21 and tried to live a new life away from his past in New York. It isn’t till a few years later that he finds himself in the middle of a Foot clan lab where 4 baby turtles were being experimented on that he stops fighting his past. In the cross hairs, he gets himself mutated, along with the 4 turtles and knows he can’t raise them alone. He feels a responsibility to go back to his clan and warn them of what he had seen.

He hates seeing his kids being raised here, just as he had, and chooses to leave. He chooses that this isn’t worth it anymore.

The main story takes place 1 year after splinter returns to New York with his boys!

I told you. It's pretty crazy. Anyway, these are almost every character that has ever interacted with the turtles whether significantly or not. Now that I'm looking at the list, I'm really blown away by how different these interactions are. It's awesome! Seriously, it looks like the the only things that stayed the same was the turtles, Splinter, April, Casey, Shredder, and Karai. The Kraang too but I'll talk about that in a second.

In the Au, Stockman might've gone to the store Stockboy works at and chatted about machines and whatnot. Tang Shen and Gram Gram Karai would also have gotten along pretty well I think (they share the same voice actor too so that's a nice touch). I don't think Draxum would've worked together with Shredder. Saki tends to boss others around and Draxum's pride wouldn't have liked that. It's possible that Shredder tricked Draxum into wearing the armor, but the chance of finally gaining the power necessary to achieve his goal would've been too good to pass up. Saki isn't above using enhancers as a last resort. He would've worn the Dark Armor on his own and become the 'Super' Shredder. One last thing to note is that technically speaking and looking back at Rise canon, the Hamato clan originally was a part of the foot clan. It's weird right?? The split happened when the leader of the Foot clan at the time wore the Dark Armor and went on a rampage. He had done so with the best of intentions but he couldn't control the armor's need to destroy. The man (who happens to also be called Oroku Saki, might name change in this au) had a daughter whose name was Karai. She would go on to create the Hamato clan and seal away the Shredder and herself. That's what happens in this Au at least and aligns closely with canon for the most part. 2012 didn't have much lore when it comes to the Hamato clan, aside from what happened to Tang Shen, so that's why I chose Rise canon as a building point.

Now the Krang is in a weird spot. In canon the 2012 Kraang are brainwashed by Kraang Prime with only a few that managed to break free of his control, calling themselves Utrom. Rise canon sees something similar to this in that the Krang are invaders that can take control of both machines and organic beings. Rise fans also know that Krang are actually the reason for Yokai in the first place through the Empyrean they brought and that they created the Dark Armor. In terms of the Au, the 2012 Kraang only want to free Krang Prime which is Rise Krang. (Brother and Sister Krang are also there but we don't see a lot of love for them so.) There were a few 2012 Kraang that decided to rebel and called themselves the Utrom. The creation of Yokai through the Empyrean and the banishment of Krang Prime and his siblings happened long ago, just like Rise canon.

No one really knows who sealed them away, time had eroded the knowledge away to the point of meaninglessness. There are definitely several legends about it that try to explain what exactly happened but it's never explained. Maybe it was the Utrom trying to atone for the sins of their past, or maybe, just maybe, it was a group of great warriors?

For the Casey Raised by Shredder AU what is the dynamic between Splinter, Casey and Karai? (and Leo too ig) Like Splinter would want Karai with him cause that's his daughter but would Casey want that? cause it'd feel like he's losing his sister. Like whats Karai thoughts too?

Karai is honestly not bothered.

She knows her history.

Knows Splinters her biological father.

But she's happy with her life as it is that she doesn't see any point of changing it.

Karai adores Shredder who adores her just as if not more.

Why leave and be told to fight him?

She also absolutely loves Casey, they are siblings in all but blood.

They may not be her bio family but knowing all she does Karai chooses them.

Will always choose them.

Casey gets to know the turtles and go hey cousins this is cool.

And becomes genuinely close to them.

Karai isn't bothered, she doesn't really care to meet them and her true identity is known unlike Casey's.

Aka Oroku Casey isn't known to them but Casey Jones is.

Splinter wants his child back but she doesn't want to go.

She's built a life for herself, she's happy.

Leo is with Splinter on this and his... Crush on her is something Casey wants to erase from his memory.

Karai upon finding that out throws a knife at Leo everytime he tries to flirt.

As she should.

While Casey yells "dude?! Isn't she your sister?! What kinda anime are you watching man?!"

Also Karai seeing how Splinters teachings and such deeply affected Leo to the point he carries the whole world on his shoulders.

That he is the only one to defeat the Shredder.

That he must be perfect in all he does as a son, brother and leader.

While her father always ressures her she's enough, holding her when she's afraid and not wanting his kids involved in this old feud.

.... Yeah she sees it as a no brainer.

Foot! Twin! au-

.after leaving the family at mmm 13 ig, they meet Oroku Saki who takes them in as his new adopted child

.Now, with a ninjutsu master who'll train them properly and help them with their family issues, its actaully lowkey healther than the relationship with their bio-mother

.After a few years they master the Odochi and Kusari-fundo.

.WIth their younger adopted sister, Karai, they are sent to Gothme to find out why the deals over there have started to lose traction

.As a general and the Heir to the head of the Foot, there is a lot of built up preesure on their soulders and takes it out on some of their soilders who exposed them to batman

.When they fight Damien, they are brutal. The hold no punched, slashers or even stabs. all of their pent up rage starts showing but they get sloppy, and Karai saves them after Damien pulls off their mask to see its his twin sibling/brother

Okokokokokok

A TMNT AU that focuses more on splinter. A story similar to 2012’s story, but with Rise’s personality.

What if instead of of protecting the world from the shredder, Yoshi was destined to protect the world from the Kraang? What if he knew he failed as soon as he mutated? What if there was nothing he could do but wait? What if Lou Jitsu was an early online influencer?

A story split in to three parts, three times, the early 2000’s/Hamato Yoshi and Oroku Saki, 2012/Lou Jitsu and the turtle tots, 2022/ Master Splinter and the TMNT

Anyway I’ve been thinking about this all day so here you go

The Tale of Hamato Yoshi and Oroku Saki

1980

Not too far from Tokyo sits a small village, home of the Hamato clan who happily welcome there newest addition, Hamato Yoshi

1984

Tragedy strikes, the first of many tragedies that will follow Yoshi throughout his life. His mother must leave, to watch for something, protect them from something

1987

Yoshi befriends a local boy named Oroku Saki. They quickly become inseparable. However, before the year is up, tragedy strikes once more, Leaving Saki an orphan, tragedy will follow Saki throughout his life. Yoshi’s family is quick to take in Saki, in there eyes the young boy was always family.

1995

The brothers learn together, play together, train together. But like all brothers they fight. They argue and bicker over silly things, but when it comes down to it they’ll always defend each other, won’t they?

1997

The brothers sit in the dojo while their father speaks to them. He talks to them about their family, their history, the Hamato clan. Hundreds of years ago their family stopped the demons that attempted to destroy their home. Yoshi in Saki will one day bare the responsibility of protecting them if the monsters shall ever return.

Saki nodes, he understands the weight that he must carry.

Yoshi on the other hand is not paying attention.

“Monsters and Demons and Aliens and Yokai,” he later tells his brother, “like they fairy tales he’d tell us to keep us out of trouble as kids? You seriously believe that?”

“Why wouldn’t I? I won’t ignore Hundreds of years of tradition because I don’t want to be responsible, will you?”

Their sibling rivalry suddenly lost its playful twang

1999

The rivalry between them continues to grow becoming more intense with every argument.

Saki believes that their father favors Yoshi, despite Yoshi never seeming to care or take anything seriously.

Yoshi believes that Saki is simply a hateful man. That Saki will hate him no matter what so there’s no point in trying to stay kind to him.

Yoshi also spends more of his free time on his computer, the internet was a fascinating thing.

1999

Yoshi posts on blogs and forums, starting to make a name for himself on online spaces. That name however is not Yoshi, he instead goes by ‘Lou Jitsu’

2001

A young woman moves to town. Yoshi and Saki both become smitten.

Tang Shen is her name, smart, strong, kind, beautiful.

Weather she realizes it or not, her love will be the final thing to push the brothers apart.

Shen finds them both charming in their own ways.

2002

The young men continue to try and win her attention. However in their fighting does not go unnoticed by Shen. She notices the malice behind Saki’s words, behind his eyes.

Tang Shen chooses Hamato Yoshi

2003

Lou Jitsu has gained quite a following on a new website called ‘MySpace’

He tends to embellish his life on the internet, he makes himself out to be some sort of hero. Never lying per say, just exaggerating.

2004

Tang Shen is pregnant.

Yoshi is there for her, but he starts distancing himself, spending more time working, training. He’s scared. He doesn’t think he could be a great father.

Saki doesn’t care that she’s going to have a child. He is convinced that she still loves him, that she will leave Yoshi. He is plans on raising the child as if it was his own

2005

The Hamatos happily welcome their newest addition,

Hamato Miwa

However this happiness dose not last.

Yoshi’s father is ill. While he tries to remain carefree, he can feel the sadness and responsibility he’s been running from begin to catch up with him.

Deep into the night someone knocks at the door.

Shen lights a candle and makes her way over to the door.

Oroku Saki

He demands she change her mind. She demands he leave her be.

Their argument wakes up Yoshi and they soon begin to fight, unlike they have ever fought before. The candle falls and fire slowly consumes the building.

Saki unsheathes his blade and swings for Yoshi,

“STOP” Shen blocks the swing before falling to the ground

Saki Runs

The supports of the small building begin to fall.

Yoshi barely makes it out alive

Miwa is lost

He sits outside whispering to himself though broken tears.

He goes to his clan. But Saki got there first, he doesn’t know what he told them but it couldn’t be good. His own father won’t look him in the eyes.

There’s only one thing left for him to do, flee.

He books a plane to the first place he can think of, America, he briefly considers LA before settling on New York, Shen always wanted to visit New York.

2006

Yoshi can’t shake the feeling that grief isn’t the only thing that followed him. He swears he sees things in the streets, things only mentioned in cautionary tales, hears the name he was taught to fear.

His mind must be playing tricks on him.

Since moving Yoshi struggled to find a job, before ending up at a local pet shop. Most of his paycheck went to paying the rent of a small run down apartment.

He was entirely alone, the only thing that gave him the slight sense of community that he craved was his online presence. He often posted martial arts videos and life blogs. He gave up attempting to be honest with them. Lou Jitsu became a character he put on as a last attempt at keeping his sanity, was he still sane?. He wished that could be a paying job.

The depression, grief, anxiety, and pain of his life was becoming to much to handle alone.

The next day he clocked out of work, but didn’t walk home alone. He was now accompanied by the four baby turtles. He finally felt like things could be okay again.

And they almost were. Yoshi was mere feet from his apartment when he heard the voices coming from the alleyway.

“Kraang has received new orders from Kraang Prime” the horrid robotic voice screeched.

Fear, all he felt was fear. Then relief, he wasn’t seeing things, he wasn’t loosing his mind, they were real, they were here. Regret. He should have paid more attention to his father. He places the turtles on a window ledge

“What has Kraang-“

BANG

Yoshi hits one in the back of the head and it topples to the ground. The other stands shocked in front of him. ‘Could Kraang be shocked?’ In it’s hands was a glowing canister filled with a thick green substance that bubbled and oozed.

a fight brakes out the canister traded hands back and forth between the man and the alien-piloted machine. Suddenly it was in the air

The Air stood still. Rats ran by his feet. Shattering glass. Ooze coated his skin.

Pain. White hot pain. It clouded his vision, rang in his ears. He felt his bones stretching, skin morphing. Was he growing taller? Or getting shorter? He grasped his arms for stability, only to feel a thick layer of fur. When did he get on the ground?

‘The Turtles’

He glanced over and they too were sitting in a puddle of the ooze. They were changing right in front of him. Yoshi looked to the baby turtles and for a split second he thought they looked familiar. Almost like him, Almost like,

He picked up the children an ran, retreating into the sewers where no one would see them.

Personal Tmnt/Rottmnt aus that I've personally got going on and a brief summary of them:

Universal Collision- The godfather. Universal Collision is a crossover between the 12 series and the Rise series. It's basically the boys learning to get along and somewhere down the line become a family of sorts. As well as learning about each other and fighting a foe that's lurking in the shadows.

Turtles Forever Crossover- The grandchild of Universal Collision in a way. Basically this au exists in the Universal Collision timeline, yet it's its own little thing. In an attempt to get the Rise boys home, the group of turtles, humans and their rat and goat dads end up accidentally in the 03 lair. There they meet others such as the 87 group, 03 gang, 07 gang, Bayverse group, Ronin Mikey and Future Rise Leo and Future Rise Mikey. It's basically just shenanigans with a side of angst. This au also interacts with other people's aus given that it's a huge multiverse thing. (Example of this being @lieutenantbiscute's Shellshock au. Basically it's free game for anyone with an au).

12 Turtle Tot Leo- Another grandchild of Universal Collision, however the 12 gang is in the Rise verse, again a thing all of it's own. During a battle with a yokai witch, Leonardo (12 Leo), ends up taking a hit of mystics and gets deaged back to two or three years old. It's basically the 12 gang and Rise cast taking care of Leonardo while he's small. Yes this includes villains and certain yokai skeletons.

Oroku Siblings- A separate au all together. This one is a separated Leo one from the 12 series. It was mainly inspired by how similar Leo can get to the Shredder and one question. "What would Leo be like if he'd been raised by the Shredder alongside Karai?" The answer is basically a morally grey Leo and his unbreakable bond with his beloved older sister. Leo in this au was separated from Splinter and his brothers during a Kranng ambush. At the age of four he was found washed up by Karai and the rest is history.

Ancient Japan's History- Also a separate au that takes place in the 12 verse and also a newer one. This one is a separation but with all the boys being raised, completely unaware of one another's existence save for Mikey who's a yokai. It takes place in the realm of Usagi Yojimbo's world of ancient Japan. The boys all have different backgrounds entirely. Mikey is a yokai who knows more than he let's on and is the main reason that he and his brothers learn about one another. Raph is a ronin ninja who travels all over Japan doing odd jobs ranging from assassinations to body work. Donnie is an inventor of a small village who has taken over the shop of his departed guardian who was the original inventor. And Leo is a monk who's strong in spiritual abilities and is known to be one of the best at banishing and exorcising demons and yokai. When an ancient demon known as the Shredder is brought back into the world, the boys band together in search for a mysterious being known as Splinter who had disappeared without a trace eons ago.

It occured to me that I should probably post a picture of the goobers I entered in the goober comp. So have my babies, the siblings ever. The are in the same au btw, I just don't have an official name for it so they're labeled by their defining factors.

Raised by the Foot Casey Jones:

Casey has been in the Foot as long as he can remember, training along side the Master's daughter. Raised as Cassandra, he trained at the same time as Oroku Karai due them being similar ages though he only saw her occasionally as he was in the New York lair and Karai lived in Japan with her Father. As he grew up, he realized he just wanted to be Casey, but no one accepted that. The Lieutenant told him he was confused, he was girl and that's what he'd always be. At 15 he had grown to hate it, the Foot's motives, the way he was forced to wear the female uniform, all of it. So he started leaving, seeking time away. He finds an empty watertower on a roof miles away from the Foot's lair After about year of doing he starts hearing whispers throughout the Foot of strange men in suits roaming the streets. One day in the midst of April he goes out, and meets a girl, shorter than him but close to his age none the less. She introduces her in broken English as "Experiment A". Finding this "name" horrible Casey offers to give her a better one amd be her friend. She agrees.

Raised by the Kraang April O'Neil:

Experiment A doesn't remember the horrible day when the Kraang took her and killed her parents but she remembers everything afterwards. She was taken to the head, Kraang Prime, he was so cruel. The Kraang never respected her, always sticking needles in her and making her use her powers to the point she was pass out. At one point, after being trained for many years, they took her to a facility on Earth. It was apparently her home planet. She didn't like what her superiors were planning, so she started escaping. The Kraang scientists in the lab never paid her any attention so snuck out and watched the humans. They didn't have a pink tinge to their akin of tendrils on their head like she did. Nor did they have teeth or nails as sharp as her. Experiment A didn't understand them, everytime she tried to say hello they screamed, called her a freak. So she stayed away, just watching and learning. Then one particularly chilly day, she met a human boy. He didn't scream at her, or call her a freak. He offered to take care of her, and give her a real name like his. His name was Casey, she thought it suited him.

After their meeting both began meeting up on the same rooftop they met. Casey found a new name for Experiment A. "April", after the month he met her and it started with an A, so it wasn't too much of an adjustment for her.

They've only known eachother for about five months now. Casey gives April all his old feminine clothes to wear(she insists his are better than new clothes, they smell like him apparently and scent is important to her) and April helps him steal masculine clothes. Casey teaches April English, though getting her to spell correctly is difficult, and he showed her around New York City and gave her anything he could afford. April was never needed at the lab(Kraang Prime would make it known if he needed her) so she was always at the water tower, filling it with old blankets and pillows, stolen clothes and books. She makes it feel like home.

They have yet to officially meet their version of the turtles so the Hamatos aren't important right now. But they meet them soon.

Zootopia/TMNT Crossover Fic Fanfiction Idea

Yup!

You read that right! My dad and I rewatched Zootopia recently and it struck me how interesting it would be if the Hamatos lived in the world of Zootopia!

I like the idea of using the Japanese word for family, Kazoku, as the title for this idea, but I’m still on the fence about that. I’d love suggestions! (Something found family-esque since that’s the main theme of this idea.)

In the meantime, let me explain how this crossover with some ideas I have!

I will be going through the events of Zootopia, but from the perspective of the Hamatos, and I am including my TMNT OCs, Asami, and Lupa.

If you need a refresher or haven’t seen my TMNT OCs, Here is a bio for them! I love these girls so much!

Anyway, the Hamatos will not be vigilante ninjas in this AU (unless I can think of an excuse to do so but really there’s no reason, so...) because there isn’t an intense clan rivalry or need for them to fight anyone, really. Just competition between Ninjutsu dojos with Oroku Saki heading a rival dojo (which may or may not be dealing with the mafia but I haven’t totally figured that part out yet).

I love the idea of Splinter running a Ninjutsu dojo cus I cannot think of Splinter without thinking of ninjutsu.

Tang Shen is alive cus she deserves it and Splinter needs some help raising 6 kids! XD She is their mother and loves them so much!

Splinter and Tang Shen are about the size of Mr. Big, and they have a house that can fit their kids with a system of ramps, platforms, and tubes so they can get around easier and not be underfoot on the ground.

The turtles are the same species as they are in Rise, but slightly less chaotic in personality since they aren’t raised in isolation in the sewers. But their personality will be sort-of a mix of 2003 and Rise. Or at least, that’s what I’m aiming for. We’ll see how this goes.

Splinter himself is based mostly on the 2003 Splinter since I prefer him over Rise Splinter and it fits my ideas better.

The kids know Ninjutsu, but don’t really use it too often, just for some friendly sparring.

Since they’re not also a team of vigilantes in this crossover, there’s less sibling rivalry between Leo and Raph.

Splinter and Tang Shen adopt the kids, obviously, the turtles first after seeing them homeless on the street as young kids, then a year or so after that adoption is finalized, Splinter loses one of his good friends who happens to be a wolf, and there was no one to step up and take care of Asami and Lupa, the only children of Splinter’s friend, so Splinter and Tang Shen decide to adopt the girls.

This is an unusual adoption, given that rats are prey and wolves are predators, but Splinter manages to get custody and legally adopt the girls and things are normal...

Until predators start ‘going savage’, raising tensions between prey and predators.

Would anyone be interested in this fic? I have the prologue written already, but I wanted to gauge interest first!

hi what your city in Dust au about

Hi! Cities in Dust is my original TMNT iteration. It's called that after the song by Siouxsie and the Banshees because I want to incorporate punk and grunge aesthetics into it. A lot of it centers on Venus de Milo and Karai. The two of them are adopted sisters raised for the most part in New York City by Yoshihama Takeshi, or Tiger Claw. (Lengthier outline under the cut)

Karai was born in Japan and lived there until she was around six years old when her mother, a kendo practitioner named Oroku Saki, was consumed by the spirit of the Shredder and set out to murder those belonging to the Hamato bloodline. Takeshi, a friend of the family, took Karai and fled the country and brought her to New York, which was going to be temporary while Saki was apprehended.

However, on a night when Takeshi was returning home late from working one night, he was kidnapped off the streets by the Krang and experimented on at a warehouse taken over by TCRI. He managed to escape, but not before being changed into a tiger mutant. He also escaped with a mutated baby turtle that the Krang were running experiments on.

Takeshi, in his new form, adopted the baby turtle and named her Mei, after his sister (she would only be called Venus later after meeting her brothers, as a nickname. Plus in The Next Mutation, Venus' original name was Mei Pieh Chi). Mei and Karai were raised as siblings.

One of these days I'll make a masterpost with the story of the boys and Splinter and April and Casey as well, as they very much have equal part in the story, but this is what applies to most of the art I've made so far. I'm looking forward to developing this AU more in the near future.

YOTP subject: Raytello January - Historical AU

my entry for the yotp challenge for the month of january featuring an au in which Donnie and his brothers are members of the Hamato ninja clan in feudal-era Japan. they train and live in secret, having been nearly wiped out by their rival clan. one day, Donatello was ambushed by several ninjas of the Oroku clan and just managed to escape with only minor injuries. he’s discovered, separated from his siblings, by a strange forest creature with bioluminescent markings and a soft telepathic voice. to Donatello’s surprise, the entity immediately tends to his wound without regard for its own safety. the gentle creature intrigues Donatello, who’s hesitant to flee after the selflessness the creature showed him. the being introduces itself as Erkleid, a member of an elf-like spirit race that’s been living hidden among humans and mutants for centuries, and whose impulsivity and intellect seems to compliment Donatello’s personality perfectly...

A while ago I posted an AU of teenage mutant ninja turtles. It's been a while and the idea has gone through MANY changes.

Let's blast through it.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Heroes in a Half-Shell

Basic Story

In the beginning Splinter, Hamato Yoshi, and Shredder, Oroku Saki, were like brothers (similar to 2012). The difference is that Splinter was framed for the death of the previous Clan leader and had to flee from Japan to New York, where he worked as a self-defense teacher.

One day, whilst out buying pet turtles for his self-defense class, he stumbled across an ongoing confrontation in the underground subway. Going against his better judgement Hamato tried to deescalate the situation only to be hit by a glowing canister. It broke on impact and he, and the little turtles, mutated.

They were trained to be ninjas like their father. However, as most of them end up saying: Splinter was more of a Ninja Master than an actual father-figure.

Leonardo was trained to be the leader, Splinter's favourite student. This unfortunately meant he was isolated from his brothers on the basis of 'being a leader, not a brother.' Due to this, Leo has a hard time connecting with his brothers. He's trying his best, but it'll take a while. LORE CHANGE: In a rebellious act, Leo tries to understand and support each of his brothers because he is awesome and I said so.

Raphael was trained to be the Tank, but no matter how hard he tried, Splinter always compared him to not only Leo, but Shredder. His anger and brutal fighting style reminded Splinter of his former friend and instead of showing Raph the right path, he treated him as if he could never change.

Mike was trained to be the Scout, the fastest member on the team. Unfortunately this ball of energy has a terrible attention span which was something Splinter never had to deal with. In the end, he was babied like nothing else, represented as "slow" and "stupid" by his own father, but that was never said directly to his face of course.

Donnie was trained to be the tactician, the planner, the smart guy. So why did he get the boot from Splinter? Why he was neurodivergent of course. He was incapable of seeing sarcasm, he was overly blunt and couldn't understand why certain things made his siblings upset. His brothers never blamed him for it, but Splinter did and just like Raph, he was ostracised.

15 years after they were first mutated, a 45 year old scientist named April O'Neil ran into these mutant turtles while trying to capture some runaway Mousers. She worked as an assistant for the famous "Baxter Stockman" (as she was depicted in the very first issue of tmnt). Instead of being shocked by their appearance, she offered to help them find answers surrounding how they came to be.

When they returned to the sewers they realised something was wrong. Their home was wrecked completely and Splinter was long gone. Shredder had followed April into the sewers after some tip off's from multiple sources and had taken out Splinter while the turtles were gone. Now they need to stop Shredder from doing anymore harm to the city and find out more about this mutagen while they're at it.

This is where I will leave it for now.

She has very good aim with guns and other long range weapons, but is absolutely shit at physical combat.

Her best friends are Irma and Edward

Nearly got married before meeting the turtles, things ended up going really badly for both parties and they went their separate ways.

She has difficulty forming romantic connections. She realised she had become aromantic from her past relationship shortly after it had ended.

Can easily beat the shit out of the turtles

Got one hell of a death stare

Enjoys classical music

Will only let Leo refer to her as a woman

Other facts

The turtles can speak fluent Japanese

Shredder is completely apathetic to everything and everyone, he's basically a sociopath who never went to therapy

Shinigami is Shredder's 2nd in command

Bebop and Rocksteady aren't dumb, just oblivious

Rocksteady is German

Baxter Stockman is Sri Lankan and was an engineering student

Stockman is not so much evil, more obsessed with mutagen and what he can do with it

He redeems himself eventually, after April convinces him to give it up.

Irma and Edward are married and April was the maid of honour.

Irma was an art major, Edward was a chemistry major and Dr Rockwell was a Psychological major.

Irma is also Casey's Art teacher and is probably the only teacher he likes.

Both April and Edward work for Baxter

Leo has a rivalry with Alopex (They are besties your honour)

Both Mike and Raph have gamed with their favourite online friend "sexlord420"

They freaked out when April told them she was "sexlord420"

Karai and Leo end up together. It only works because Karai had been so heavily damaged by Shinigami and Shredder that Leo's caring personality is a loving, saving grace that helps her overlook the fact that they are completely different species

The turtles have accepted the fact that they can't beat Shredder, hence Leo saying the phrase "we don't care about winning, all we care about is protecting this city"

The turtles swear and make sex jokes because they're hormonal teenage boys

Donnie forced his brothers to watch Rupauls Drag Race and now they reference almost daily.

Leo and Mike like singing Vocaloid songs though only Mike will admit it.

The turtles aren't common box turtles like in the other shows, since Splinter went to a back alley petshop he ended up getting completely different types
