Help me with audio files please.

What website/software do people use to clip segments from long podcast episodes? I'm trying to clip a segment from Friends at the Table and all the websites I've tried either a) can't work with a file this long in the first place, or b) when it exports the segment I selected it offsets it by 30 seconds.

Alternatively: Does anyone have an audio clip showcasing the Immortal Doll from Bluff City?

Did you know? The Teddy Band in Splatoon 3 (which you get for completing After Alterna) has an internal ID of MSN109.

As far as I'm aware, this would make the Teddy Band the only item in Splatoon 3 to reuse an internal ID that was previously used for an entirely separate item, as the ID of MSN109 was briefly used by an unobtainable item in Splatoon 2!

The experience of playing on switch when the update hadn’t come was playing co-op vs. AI after a five minute wait and the getting MVP with a charather you don’t even play on the regular.

Quick update: I'm still sick! Yay... It's been a month now. My bronchitis has subsided but I caught something else on top of it. So now I'm double sick. Still have a bit of asthma, cough and other funsies. That's what happens to girls who don't know how to rest properly because they can't... (or are stubborn and won't) I'm still writing a little when I'm not feeling too much like a sad puddle of mucus but, yeah, honestly I have no clue as to when next chapter will drop. I'm hoping before September. Realistically though, I can't promise anything. I know, none of you are pressuring me to finish the fic, but I still felt like giving you a heads up. Take care of yourselves. Don't over do it like me. I'll still be scrolling here (very low energy this) so I won't disappear entirely.

i'll be posting my essay this weekend, tomorrow and sunday (sundays a little tentative bc i have a lot of chores this weekend). i can't next weekend because i'll be out of town but my essay will for sure be finished by then (the writing at least) so i can post on a regular basis after that. whatever pace gets me the most notes honestly lol (i like knowing that after i spend hours and hours and hours on something, multiple people will read it)

got a little personal thing to get out bc i don’t feel like talking about it with people in my real life right not

so i’ve mentioned before on here that i’m currently working with a service dog in training for an organization via a club at my school. the dog i’m working with, justice, has fairly strong anxiety around new people but other than that has been doing amazingly in her training. i’ve had her for about 2 months now and have loved it, it’s hard but it’s a really rewarding experience. today i got a text from one of the professional trainers in the organization that, due to justice’s anxiety, they are looking at placing her with someone else for a while to see if it’s a phase or not. now i fully get that a college campus is an overwhelming place for a dog and that if it is a just an anxious phase this is a rough place to work through it. i also obviously want what’s best for her and her training, that is the priority, that is the commitment i made when signing up to be a puppy raiser. it’s just hard to feel like i did something wrong or that i failed her in some way. i know that this being considered is just due to justice and her issues and my environment maybe not being the best place for her. i’m just really struggling with the possibility of her leaving me so much earlier than expected. it’s also hard because i am finally finding a community here at college in my fellow puppy raisers and i (somewhat selfishly) don’t want to lose that by no longer having a dog i’m working with. i meet with a professional trainer on thursday to discuss and figure out if justice will be placed with someone else and i’m so so so nervous. the hardest part is that i truly think she would be better off being placed somewhere else. i just wish i could acknowledge that without feeling like i did something wrong. because i know that i have done the best that i possibly can with this dog. it also doesn’t help that one of the dogs in the college program recently got moved due to her raiser being irresponsible so i’m also scared of people thinking that a similar thing is happening with me. i hope we can figure out what’s best for justice and i hope that whatever it is allows her to overcome her anxiety and eventually have a career because i think she’d be an amazing service animal. i just wish it wasn’t so hard.

#anyway yeah #i’ll probably update with the results of the meeting bc no matter the outcome i probably will be emotional about it #but yeah i just wish the best for this wonderful sweet little dog #and i hope that if she does get a new placement that i can get another dog to work with soon #because i do love this #like if i decide not to go to vet school someday i could see myself going into dog training/service dog work #and i really wanna keep working with this dog #but i understand if that’s not best for her #idk its hard #and if she does get a new placement it will be very bittersweet for me #bc working with her is hard bc of her anxiety #and part of me would love to work with a less anxious dog #but i’ve already invested 2 months into her training so it’s hard to know i might not work with her through the rest #anyway like i said if things don’t work out with her hopefully i can get a new dog placed with me in a few months #bc this is something i want to be doing for at least the whole time i’m in college if not for more of my life #personal #rambles #also if anyone is fine with me ranting about this in dms i’d like that (i will include pictures of the girl as thanks for listening) #and yeah i just don’t wanna talk to people in my real life who also know and care about her #until i know the plan for sure #bc i don’t wanna upset any of my friends/family for nothing

Round Two is Finally Through!

Previously, in the Batman 66 SexyRogues Competition:

*Phew!* What a trip!

But wait! The wildest is yet to come!

Since we've got nine contestants remaining after round two, this means that Joker, Penguin, and Catwoman (Kitt) will all be brought in for round three to give us an even twelve contestants.

Following round three, we will have six contestants remaining, and thus for our second chance bracket, we will ultimately be allowing two of our radiant rogues back in the running so that we can begin the quarter finals with an even eight contestants.

At this point, I am thinking that, since there will be 30 contestants in that second chance round, what I am going to do is put everyone in groups of ten, with two polls per group. On the first one, everyone will vote for their first choice to return, and on the second, everyone will vote for their second choice. I will take the top two from each of those groups, and then we will have one more round of the second chance bracket, once again, with everyone voting on their first and second choices. I will calculate from those results, and the winner and runner up from that will be given the two empty slots for the quarter-finals.

season of the lost was REALLY REALLY good though. like really good. standing right next to the honorable season of the drifter in ranking. it had such a coherent throughline about grief and love and loss that gives me much to rotate in my mind. heart emoji
