Fun fact
Tatsuya Endo, the author of Spy x Family, did a one shot manga back in 2014 called Rengoku no Ashe or 'Ashe of Purgetory'.
And the design of the main character is just straight up teenage Anya Forger, five years before Spy x Family came out:
I mean... even their clothes look like different versions of the same uniform.

So "Ashe of Purgatory" or "Rengoku no Ashe" is a one shot by Tatsuya Endo, as you probably know, the writer and illustrator of "SpyxFamily".
It has similiar themes of acceptance of people who are different than the supposed norm, society's faults and biases about people who deviate from it, the sins of the church of that time period and lastly it is definitely darker than SpyxFamily but still as cute!
The art has a different feeling from SpyxFamily, has gothic inspirations which I think is really neat, and it's detailed probably cause its a one shot. You can recognize the art style from SpyxFamily and the old design repurposed into the character of Anya as well, who I think has a really nice character design seperate from Anya too.
Overall, I recommend you read it!

The photo in my icon here is Ashe from Rengoku no Ashe, the oneshot written by Sp x Family mangaka Tatsuya Endou
Why? Because it's different from my other blog icons so that I don't accidentally fast reblog onto this one

I was reading Endo-sensei's other work: Rengoku No Ashe, and came across this panel. You cannot tell me that Loid is not just Bel with blonde hair and more trauma.
I love Bel so much he's so male wife.

I thought about these similarities a few days ago and this is what I thought. What if Ashe is Anya's biological mother? Say for example, Ashe probably got married with someone and then gave birth to Anya. Now, I've stated in the other post that Ashe has red eyes but the man she married maybe had green eyes since in some families, the fetus they give birth to is born with some of the parents genes. Now, my biggest mystery is the Chimera-San ornaments they both wear. Could Ashe be a telepath? Otherwise, why does she wear them? Yeah, they could be some kind of hair accessory but Anya wears them too. Maybe when Ashe found out about Anya's power, then she took her to the lab where Anya used to be. When she knew it was true, then probably she didn’t wanted to keep Anya with her and left her in the lab that day since in Episode 1, it's stated that when Anya's past foster parents found about her telepathic abilities, they leave her. In Episode 4 when Mr. Swan asks Anya about the "First" Mrs Forger, most probably she starts to remember her biological mum [Which could be Ashe]. This might seem like an awful silly description but, yeah that's it. Sorry if it seems so long.
