Fuck! No, not back to the damn crowd! “This is why Shizun wouldn’t accompany us, he knew how bothersome it would be!” “I’ll bite you,” Shen Yuan threatens.  The hand between his shoulders drops. “You could try,” Ming Fan says and finally Shen Yuan can turn around.

He braids Luo Binghe’s hair as they speak of terrifying things and barely minds when Ning Yingying leans over Binghe to stare at Shen Yuan’s hands, too close and personal but ultimately he decides Luo Binghe’s hair is too soft and his own hands too restless to stop. He just leans away as much as he can without losing track of the braid.
