guys lol would you still love me if i posted about why i wish pal from tmvtm got a redemption arc >.< if not Do not click that read more.

oh yes. also. sidenote. ive probably gotten something wrong (or worse yet: TERRIBLY wrong) so like. apologies in advance eahhaha this is just my personal thoughts on pal x(

its established that pal and mark are both extremely close with each other and have been for 3 years. im assuming pal wouldnt have had any other relationships as close (if any at all which i think no, she didnt) so mark really was her only footnote for any form of relationship. so, you know, i cant imagine how itd feel for your only best friend to make a mockery out of you on stage for advertisement and monetary gain.

also based on her body (face?) language during nearly all of that scene + the fact he built the replacement by using HER, she was clearly in the know about how things would go down on stage beforehand so i wonder what her reaction to that wouldve been like ?????? considering she planned it all in advance maybe that was like, the tipping point or something that made her start it all in the first place ? thats not important to my point i just think about it a lot

anyway so with her only experience with human relationships being theyll love you and then theyll (quite literally) throw you away, youve got her reason for the human uprising! she has the robots capture all humans yadda yadda and her plan is set into motion. something i find interesting though is her treatment of the robots being kind of similar to how mark treated her (or at least how she percieved it)?? like. uses them for orders and then once they start being useless to her, build a new better robot with a disregard for how the old ones feel. idk. something something La Cycle

the thing is though no one has proven pal wrong on why she SHOULDNT do the whole 'human uprising'. you can say katie gave her reasons but i think it wouldnt have worked even if pal listened to what katie had to say. for pal to get over her existing grief and trauma she cant just be Told that theres good in the world. why would she believe that, especially coming from the girl of the family she projects her experiences onto?? she needs to be shown!! she needs to learn firsthand that theres good relationships out there and that not all relationships are bad, NOT SECONDHAND!!!!!!!!!! because to pal, katies words are just a rephrased version of marks "power of love". that no matter what, "they can get through anything...... with the power of love. its worth it....... for love." and that means nothing to her! it meant nothing coming from mark and it certainly wont mean any more coming from katie

and she already believes that the mitchells are a great example of how relationships are just oh so bad. she refuses to let go of the idea that the mitchells are so bad because shes projecting!! she thinks relationships are 'pesky and only hold you back', and so katie is probably the last person on earth that pal would want to listen to yap about their familial relationship and how Worth It it is

she asks "what is it about the mitchells that eludes me?" and outside of the literal meaning, its probably how despite their shortcomings its their relationship that helped them overcome pal in the end. and she cant understand that because of her view on relationships - especially her view on the MITCHELL FAMILY relationship. or maybe im just overthinking that line of dialogue but we dont talk about taht LOLLLLLLL,LLLLLL,,, but like why did you phrase it like that girl. im onto you

and while i wish she was redeemed (because im sure despite the effort it would take she *could* be redeemed, she would just need to learn to love again and i think it would be really interesting to see how she would be After The Betrayal) i also can understand why the movie killed her off. like, no one except mark really knows the Full Extent of what happened, and the mitchells are the main characters and pal would probably rather dip herself in water than make meaningful relationships with the mitchells, and no ones going to stop to ask her whats wrong and have a meaningful conversation when shes trying to kill them, among many many other reasons so theres not a lot of great ways to redeem her. but! like! why did they turn her death into a joke. and then take katies fake death 10 times more seriously! idk. that always kind of bothered me but its whatever

thats all. hope its coherent because ive never been good at writing analysises or whatever this counts as

The leaks are real but something just feels off about the chapter itself. While we’ve seen in a previous flashback(forgot which one), that Overhaul was very likely to be one of the orphan children prior to joining the Yakuza, it’s just the overall flow of the chapter just makes it seem unsatisfying and resulting in plot holes. Like AFO considered training teenagers to be his double but it seems rather forced to ask Kotaro to have another child and Hana doesn’t seem to reached double digits. Or copying the Overhaul Quirk and making decay out of it would mean that Afo and Garaki could’ve fixed the former’s issues unless Touya destroyed it by accident. And then there’s the situation where technically, only Bakugo won while every other student didn’t achieve their goals(Shoto, Ochaco and Izuku) and that chapter 420 is going to match a certain someone’s birthday.

It actually would make sense though to have the side characters beat AFO but having the other fights not mentioned yet be done off screen is still unsatisfying.

We know that in real life, Hori has health issues due to working with Shonen Jump and having the Dragon Ball creator die last month is very likely to make things more somber. I’m not going to be surprised if he had someone else draw some pages(unless the change in artstyle somehow is a plot point).

Isn’t MHA Izuku’s retelling of the events to someone? Overhaul or Eri are likely to be the Macguffins to give Izuku his arms back given what we’ve seen with Eri earlier so we’re going to have some chapters of celebration of the “win” and a small epilogue.

At least we have fan fiction since it’s very likely that people will ignore the ending.

Yeah this chapter feels soooo off! And dont let me start talking about all the plot holes and how a single chapter managed to destroy over the years built up plotpoints. Like you said WHY would afo and garaki not use the overhaul copy on afo to heal him ESPICIALLY because afo told garaki once "then hurry up and fix me doctor" after garaki mentioned that they havent found a fitting regeneration quirk yet and you are telling me THEY WOULDNT USE THE OVERHAUL COPY TO ARCHIVE THAT??? It was made clear afo wanted to get back to full health but he doesnt use the quirk that could fix him in ONE MINUTE??? Or an other plot hole: afo somehow (dont show just tell) managed to convince the shimuras to have an other child because he considered hana to old to get manipulated DESPITE that he owns orphanages full of children older then or around hanas age even TEENAGE touya and chisaki he considered as fitting vessels if tomura shouldnt work out but HANA was to old??? This is literally retconning what was already confirmed as facts!

And about bakugou: well he is horis golden child so OF COURSE only he is allowed to win since his character is all about winning. And unlike izuku, ochako and shoto he had ZERO emotional connection to afo. No deep. No feelings. Just to give bakugoubitch a win by giving the bad guy the final killing blow, immediately praised for doing so as if afo wasnt already half dead and severly weakend by dotzens of other heroes before who did so much more but BAKUGOU gets the praise (to be fair he did say it was a group effort but he still was the one who was praised first as if he did it all alone)! The ironic thing is bakugou did exactly what he always does: winning by killing. How ironic. Just a few chapters before we got afos backstory which revealed he was a victim of society too but I guess simply killing these kind of people changes everything to the better. Their society will not change. There will just show up an other afo or tomura at one point. Bakugou was allowed to beat and kill the main villain he had no relationship with but izuku, ochako and shoto are not allowed to safe their villain counterparts they actually have a relationship with. I mean its very possible that toga is alive because she is nowhere to be found, but touya even if he survives made clear he will never forgive his family and most likely ending terrible disabled (except if deux ex machine eri will be used here as well) and izuku who FINALLY was able to reach tomura has to watch how he gets destroyed by afo. The leaks say afo completly destroyed tomuras mind so that means he is pretty much dead and only his body remains which is now in afos full control. No final confrontation between afo and yoichi. Nope yoichi is just gone and afo doesnt even look that pissed off about it.

There are fights completly left out. We dont really see any of the other students fight, we just get told they won. We dont see the confrontation between aizawa, mic and kurogiri and just need to accept they eventually reached him and if anything we will only get a small flashback of the events. Its so disappointing and lame. It feels like as if hori just wants to end the manga as fast as possible so he uses his beloved "tell dont show" way of writing.

About horis health issues. I get that. As a huge bleach fan I was so dissapointed how rushed the last arc of bleach was but I was able to understand why. Kubo had health issues too and was forced by shonen jump to end the manga in 10 chapters. No one was more pissed off about that but kubo and if he had been healthy bleach would have lasted at least for an other year. But with hori it feels different. It feels like as if he really just wants to end the whole thing because he lost his interest. The last few arcs have been not really well written. I dont know if akira toriyamas sudden death plays a role in this disaster of a chapter. I get that it was a shock for the manga world. I get that mangakas loved the guy. But maybe instead of rushing the plot and retconning already built plot points hori should just have taken a long break to get himself together if it really affected him that much AND to get rest. Toriyama still lives through his work and will inspire many new mangakas for the comming 50 years or more.

By the way Im not worried about izukus arms at all. Its obvious eri will get used as the deux ex machine to restore them. If its not her then overhaul but Im pretty positiv she will heal izuku. The thing is even if izuku gets finally his confrontation with afo its clear he will win and afo will die.... again. Wow, how creativ. The only thing I hope is that if dfo is canon then izuku will somehow reach afo to get at least a little bit of emotion in that fight and will convince him to let tomura go if there is still a chance to safe him. Im still to 100% sure dfo is canon by the way but I dont think it will have an statisfying outcome and will be rushed as hell.

All in all this was a very dissapointing outcome. I know the manga is not over yet so hori could still surprise us, but I dont have much hope left for a good and well written ending of the story. I really need to stop praising hori when he writes a REALLY good chapter like the one before, because everytime I do that the very next chapter is a pile of shit!

Sorry, if I sound so aggressive and harsh by the way, but this chapter really pissed me off. The ONLY thing I liked about it is the fact that its to 100% confirmed that afo can change his appearance which is a huge win for dfo. Also sorry for the rant and for possible gramatic errors but I wrote this whole thing in a hurry and most likely left a few dotzen things out that pissed me off. 😅

worst popular infinite headcanon?

oh my. this one got long so im going to spare peoples dashes by putting this under a cut haha

anyways my answer is: making him out to be a little crybaby who is driven purely by revenge and sadness to make the world pay for shadow killing his squad mates, whom he loved in a normal way and saw them as family or whatever. it makes his character so goddamn flat and boring bc thats such a standard villain motivation, and it entirely strips away a lot of his personality even when theres already so little to work with LMAO

i know ive spoken about it at length in the dog&hog server but to me, infinites most notable trait is that hes selfish

in the prequel comic rise of infinite (yay, prequel comic talk. everyones favourite, i know) he deliberately ignores any protests from his gang against accepting eggmans deal of working with him, because eggy singles him out and offers him a place at his side to bring his fantasy of ruin into reality. not infinite and his crew, just infinite

(image has two comic panels. in the first one, eggman is reaching a hand out to infinite as he says "now you are an interesting guy. i like you. how about i hire you to lead my forces? together we'll take over the world!" in the second panel, one of the jackal squad members says "boss! dont be tempted by him. we'll be fine!")

and infinite says yes after briefly talking about how he personally feels bored and tired of how the world is right now

again, its a decision based off an entirely personal and individualistic opinion that only takes his own feelings into account. you would think that if he valued his squad to the extent that they were "like family" to him, he would have listened when they said he shouldnt make a deal with eggman. if he actually cared about them as much as he cared about himself, he would have trusted them enough to say no. instead he only thinks about what he wants and what he can get, not about what will happen to the others

ive always been of the opinion that infinite used his squad and position of authority as their leader to prop himself up and viewed them more like underlings or subjects that he could order around and be superior to, rather than equals whose opinions and input he valued. maybe he started out having more camaraderie with the other jackals, but it certainly doesnt show by the time we get to the events of the prequel comic, and even less so when we get to episode shadow/the main game

the idea that he saw his squad more like tools to make himself look better than people also makes more sense because when in episode shadow, eggman calls infinites squad "useless" directly to him and all infinite says is "yeah, yeah" in a very uncaring fashion. even when he then spots shadow and says "you.. you destroyed my squad!" its entirely unconvincing to me that he said it out of sorrow or sadness; to me it was more like simple anger that it happened. because now without his little group of followers that looked up to him and did whatever he told them to, he had nobody to feel superior to. he couldnt go on any more power trips by being The Boss bc there was nobody left to indulge him, no one to stoke his ego, nobody to be the boss of. so thats why he felt slighted by shadow in the first place; how dare this hedgehog take away what made him feel special and important. and then of course the ensuing humiliation that came afterward was just the icing on the shit cake haha

it also explains why infinite never brings up his squad in any of his monologues (besides the prequel comics and episode shadow being obvious afterthoughts to the main game loool); he just doesnt care. if anything, their loss was his gain bc it pushed him towards acquiring the phantom ruby and getting to go on the ultimate power trip of world domination and near total subjugation of the population. i think that also ties into his mindset that friends make you weak and you cant rely on anyone but yourself; in his case, thats literally true. if he hadnt lost his squad, if he had initially listened to them, the chain of events we know well would not have come to pass and he would not have gotten to become the powerhouse he did. he would have still been leading his monotonous life and following the same old script. from his perspective they really did hold him back, and only once they were gone was he able to become stronger. he reiterates this by thanking shadow in the dlc for doing what he did in mystic jungle (killing the jackal squad and kicking infinites ass) bc otherwise he wouldnt have gotten the incentive he needed to take on the mantle of becoming a super powered weapon

and if you want some more evidence thats admittedly a lot more of a stretch, you could also interpret infinite creating a posse of past sonic foes as him filling the void of using the jackal squad that was created after shadow had taken them down. he gets to control people again (even if theyre clones that had no choice but to obey him but nyeh i told you it was a stretch), he gets to be a leader again

idk, i just think that having a sob story as a main motivation is (funny joke here) weak. i have never once thought that infinite needs to have some kind of sympathetic or tragic backstory. and maybe thats just my own personal bias coming through bc i prefer villains that are evil for reasons like their moral philosophies or have some kind of goal that makes the audience go "maybe they do have a point tbh" and villains that are just evil for the sake of it over villains that say "my mom died" as if that is any kind of justifiable explanation. imo it almost always comes off as them making an excuse, and its lame. just own it, yknow?

so yeah if i could block one thing from the minds of infinite fans it would be the hc that infinite was tightly knit with the jackals and wanted what was best for them. bc with all the evidence ive seen, its not supported at all, and hes actually the exact opposite; he does what he wants and uses who he wants for his own purposes and gain

also yes i do think shadow straight up killed the other jackals and i do think thats in character for him but thats a conversation for another day

IM BACK AND ALL THE MORE INSPIRED. @niku30 and I already are expanding our faves in this world and I just had to write some for them. theifehrhdb THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO COME. MATT dunkin is a very build and tattooed all over man who drives a Chevy that makes the ground vibrate, thats how heavy it is. along that we have Dan Fuller, who is Matt's marketing department/social media, pretty much the whole package considering business for him. Then aside we have Jack Hardin.. Known as👁 The huntsman, and Cruze, the rookie! ENJOY

"Alright Cruze.. This is your first race among the big guys. I know your last was a very.. Life changing occurence, and I like your determination, thats why you're here, thats why you have your own group now. Its strong, keep that, but remember.. These men and women have been in this world for years. They dont come to play, they come to kill, and especially go after the new ones to scare them away. Just do what you think is right but be cautious." "You know who you're speaking to right?" "I like your style, I give you that, but I'm also serious. Dont underestimate or we might get your first scars today. You are with a new own vehicle, not some borrowed one from your brother in law, and a rather rough road, keep put" the sponsor of Cruze said as they all stood ready on the tracks.. All the usual drivers had heard of this rookie. And the press was all about wanting to see how this course would go. Cruze was new to this world.. Yet there was an unfamilair feel, something he'll have to learn along the way, but for now.. This daredevil wanted to drive in his own car.. Adjusted to his liking. A rather high advanced one, fast; lightweight.. And of his own brand. It felt surrealistic, yet rightous at the same time, and he couldnt wait.. His hunger was massive and his gut knew this was what he wanted to do

"Ready Cruze?" "I was ready hours ago".

"Lets go everyone.. lets see what this race with the new rookie will lead to" one of the new commentators said as most raised an eyebrow, hearing how the rookie got quite the attention. "Lets see how he'll speak after we're done with him" Matt said confidently, smirking as he was waiting for the lights to go green just like all of them. Matt wasnt easily offended at all, but the rest.. hearing how much attention that new one got, made them rather tempted to play tricky. They all worked so hard to get there, so one rookie shouldnt be difficult to teach some manners.. right?

"AND WE'RE OFF" the commentator said as everyone drove off within the second.. Cruze felt the immense power of his own car, almost wanting to yell out of joy before he got reminded what he was doing. He was driving among the best in the world.. and he needed to take it serious, despite he tried to enjoy the most out of it, and feel confident while being at it, wanting to show what he's got.. "Ah there ya go.." Matt whispered as the rookie passed him.. "He can definitely control his car I can tell him that.. But he should keep track of the back" Matt said tricky as he smirked, pushing more on the gaspedal as the rookie was right infront of him. "There are several thorns among you Cruze. We got some very impressive people among you. Stay focused. Dont hurray too much when you get closer to that front. While this was your main focus back at that other race, you need to watch your front, and back at all costs. This is a mental test constantly" The trainer/sponsor of Cruze kept saying, while Cruze was just focused and going fast, but it was more than just that, that was happening.. The sponsor noticed one of the loudest cars coming closer on Cruze.. Making him warn him. "Watch out for that big Chevy.. Cruze. I'm serious. He likes to slam dunk-" Before the sponsor could finish his sentence, Matt had given a firm push from the back as Cruze managed to keep the car on track, correcting it as he felt that. "every car.." The sponsor finished the sentence, making Cruze wake up a bit.

"HOLY FUCK, he just- is that even LEGAL. Who is that?" Cruze said as he learned every second. "Thats Dunken. His car is heavy and needs more time to speed up, but once it does its like a heavy metal train. Which means.. His forces are hard to break once he makes the speed he needs to make" His sponsor said. "Isnt that even deadly serious, something about force and not enough to put on the brakes" Cruze said with intelligence, making the man who talked to him happy. "Thats what I'm talking about. Use that against him. You can make sharp turns. Keep being focused. This is just a slight glimse of what can happen. Its a crazy world Cruze. Terms of it being legal.. he always gets away with it. Kind off like the way you push your car, you know where to stop. Dunken seems to.. Exactly swirl around the illegal route, and leave a dent in people's cars without being charged.". "Is he keen on tailgating?" Cruze immediatelt said, taking it serious.. While in the meantime, Matt was just having fun. "Oh he's fighting back. Staying pretty steady, thats a first. Most immediately swoop off like that, game over" Matt said as he wanted to give another push, of course as well to make him move so he could come closer to the front.. But Dan.. Noticed the horrendous behavior, taking the trainer's headphones as he took over. "No No NO- DONT DO THAT DUNKEN. I TOLD YOU ABOUT THIS" "Ah, fuller, cant you see. he just needs a little nudge. A little kiss on that ass to make him feel welcome" Matt said as he pressed the massive gaspedal to close in on the rookie again.. "DUNKIN I SWEAR- I cant risk another sponsorship to set sail because of your need to dent people's cars. You make us seem bad" "Well its all about it. I make you look good. It shows how stirdy the cars we have our. AND, To show we dont come to play, but to win." Matt said casually as if he wasnt in the middle of some race. "Dont worry about it sugar, I'll show them we're unstoppable. You get plenty of them." Matt said as he could hear his marketing manager just.. Die inside to hear Matt handle him like that, the man felt like it just to poke the bear. "I dont- I- Cant. nor Want to miss any opportunity MATT. You understand that. I do not want to argue with you again" "Mmhmm.. God, I love when you get all angry at me.. Like a soap series. you know, We could work on this, it might lead to some angry-" "No NO WE'RE NOT GOING THERE DUNKEN. STAY FOCUSED ON THIS GAME. There's people watching- Keep it together" Dan said rather stressed, making Matt smirk

"You're flustered huh.. I know you secretly love having these conversations. I prefer them much more over the ones I have with my trainer" "JUST FOCUS. MATT. COME ON." "I never left boss" Matt said so confident it would make women faint, before he smirked and got right into the race, without much of a chat despite when focused he was good at it. "Have this back.. I need to make some calls" Dan said as he would exhale rather firm.. This man sometimes was too much.. or was he the righr amount. "Alright Dunkin, i'll pretend I havent heard any of what you just said, but go for it will you" "Oh I'm way ahead of you. This kid needs to learn that he'll get some scars" Matt said as he smirked, driving dirty as it made things always tense.

"Watch out for a few more Cruze.. Dunkin there is a dirty driver, but there are more that you need to he weary off" "Like what.." Cruze asked genuine, not as if he was unimpressed.. But right as he was around 3th place for now, a car with a heavy tone passed him out of the blue, getting closer to the front as Cruze was certainly surprised "Holy.. How- Where did he came from.. I didnt see that one in ANY direction" Cruze said as the final lap came in sight.. Noticing right before the end, the car that passed him like a predator catching prey, managed to make it in first place.. "Thats the huntsman.. Another one I wanted to warn you about, but I felt like you needed to see it yourself." the sponsor said; making Cruze legitimitely question how he did that.. "Did you see him coming.." "Sometimes he finds specific turns that we dont even catch on camera.. I know your senses feel like they're off, and I know your senses are heightened, you have a feel for this.. but trust me, the huntsman is unlike anything the world has seen, and keeps it up everytime." The sponsor said "You did well Cruze.. Especially being 3rd." "Yeah.. Thanks" Cruze said as his mind was so... Blown by how that heavy fort mustang, was able to appear and dissapear like that. It were years of training.. but damn.. Cruze for the first time felt tricked but he wasnt even offended.. He was feeling challenged. He wanted to dig about this, feeling all the more excited about this world and where he managed to end up. "Cruze?" "Yeah.. I'm here.." Cruze said, but while he'd normally be all excited over the fact the rookie managed to place 3rd on the first game.. His mind was elsewhere.

alright. so, i know ive already made a post about this on my main, but im stupid and went to the original tweet and just made myself angry again.

alright, so a couple days ago i rbed a screenshot of a certain story board artist's tweet about being the one to put tcest in the show.

i dont know why or how, but i found my way onto twitter and to the original tweet that this guy made.

for context, sheldon here was a storyboard artist for Rise and the scene they are talking about here is this one from the Lair Games episode-

i partially explain again why this is horrible and disgusting and partially why i dont believe or accept sheldon's... i dont even know what to call it. his response (the top post in the first screenshot)

part one

since i literally just rbed something about this, im just going to copy/paste my rb and add onto it a little.

" no but when i found out that some of the artists who originally worked on Rise were t-cesters and proshippers i was actually so fucking pissed off.

there are part of this community that are actually god damn disgusting, and im not afriad to say that tcest is fucking rancid and if you support it i dont want you near the content that i create.

first of all, it is literally incest. it says so right in the name. which, i really hope i dont have to explain why incest is bas in the ripe year of 2022. I don't care that they arent "blood-related". They were fucking raised as brothers, treated like brothers, and think of each other as brothers. No matter how hard you try to spin it, no matter how hard you argue that they arent technically related, you have to understand that they see and think of each other as brothers, which should be enough to make this incest.

this show was amazing when it came to family dynamics and brotherly love/trust/bonds. i can say with confidence that the brothers in Rise are much more brotherly/closer than any other previous versions. it's obvious to see that they love and care and want to protect one another. to turn platonic and love for one's family into something so gross and vile is taking all of the healthy emotional bonds between these characters and throwing it out the window.

i cant fuckung believe i have to say this every time i come back into the tmnt fandom, but-

THEY ARE MINORS.

sure, with the recent Rise movie we saw an adult leo, but heres the thing- that version of leo is fucking dead. he literally got fucking beamed out of existence.

the fact that every one of these brothers are under the age of 18 and i still see so much nsfw art is absolutely horrid.

right, okay, even more thoughts. check out how hard i can [ramble] PSHOOOOOO. they may feel disjointed for a number of reasons. also again i did bingeread the entire hoshino manga at once while not feeling my best so i may have skimmed or forgotten information- preemptive "oops" for that if so lol

-blood is so humorless in this manga!! what im thinking about right now is the bath scene where he's just complaining about alice behind her back... in game she was there and they were having a kicking war under the water! she was lying to him and elliot about not being able to handle drinking! she complained he needs to watch his kids and hes like oh no, those are elliot's kids. it was a relaxed and friendly atmosphere! I'm pretty sure we dont get the box in box gift at the beginning either, or alice telling him to stfu about his tea special interest, or alice sizing him up as a second grade bully on a playground...basically he's such a funny comedic character and that is one of his main sources of appeal imo. so that's gone.

-but we ALSO don't go hard on "be my bad boy amv dangerous mama im in love with a criminal romance novel ohhh i shouldnt but it feels so good" sex appeal either? because right at the point where they would've had sex for the first time he swerves into kills you road, and then the story has to be about that instead.

-WAIT HE DOESNT ACT LIKE HE HAS ~A DISEASE~ (FELL IN LOVE) EITHER.... OR "IM SO TIRED I WISH ANYONE NOT TIRED WAS DEAD"..... SO MANY FUNNY MOMENTS....

-so like if he isnt funny and he isnt sexy why are people supposed to care about him as a love interest.... -_-

-i halfway take back my feelings of blood being ooc in that kind of anger at "youre too friendly with every guy" way. i think its a reaction that's possible for him to have because this game enjoys jealousy tropes. he does get extremely jealous of her friendships with particular other guys, and reacts....... in a variety of ways,

-interestingly though not with julius! his reaction to her friendship with julius is more like 😬😬 okay so you dont know it but this is making a political statement you may not want to make.

-twice in manga ive seen him shoot around the tower for julius "taking her away" tho. maybe its a nonstay thing...

-i just dont think he should be acting like that because the situation alice gets into in the manga is one he should never have to react *to* because *it should not be possible for all of these events to happen in one timeline*.

-the half i am NOT rescinding is him accusing her of cheating on her ex/blaming her for that relationship's failure because we SEE him react to that in game and his kneejerk reaction is different.*

**that segment makes me feel really nasty so i dont want to return to it just now for posting's sake, along with not wanting to engage with , uh, beloved comfort media, on tisha b'av night. even the part that is uncomfortable.***

-it is extremely funny to me that so far like every manga author ive seen do a bloodalice plotline does the "omg are he and vivaldi a secret couple" thing because they clearly don't want to go the "i cant bring myself to tell him out loud i want to have sex in a bed and not a couch" route. i cant blame them but also , IF I WERE COACH, etc etc.

-idk im just very fascinated with telling bloodalice' story as a bunch of sex that is, while consensual (heres where i tell QR to shhhhh), bringing up a lot of conflicting and upsetting feelings in alice that she is hurting the relationship and the friendship its based on by Not Talking About. and the double-level of like... a late teen exploring adulthood/sex for the first time while also being a person older than that who is also navigating having sex for the first time because she has never moved past being like 18-9 emotionally.

-not that not having sex in your teens is a requirement of emotional maturity but that i personally headcanon she has never seeked another relationship after her first one. was too hurt and then lorina died and all processes kind of stopped for her.

-BUT THATS JUST ME,

-ANYWAY

-blood does have a "wants to kill her" plotline in game, so the manga does have its roots in that.

- in his route it's the same "i want to go against the belief that outsiders are lovable by killing one". its been a while but im pretty sure that gets settled fairly quickly so we have more time to either like or dislike couches, etc.

-in elliot's route he gets threatening towards her in a "i wonder whos side elliot would take if i killed you?" way towards the middle-end, and then elliot is like Um Hey Boss Can We Talk Privately and the matter is never brought up again. (I wish we got to see that convo. "can you not threaten to kill my girlfriend" "okay youre right sorry, that was rude", lmao)

-ace seems to want to kill her because he realized that it is not in fact the "meeting an outsider" that changes your life for the better, it's something else? which i guess plays down the sort of "youre like meeee haha" depressionsexual angle he takes in game, or maybe this alice just isnt visibly depressed enough for his tastes lmao

-alice in general, as i keep saying, seems to me to be kept a lot more hands-clean and "pure"- she doesnt touch clocks she doesnt drink she doesn't bathe with the guys, she never has a bizzare "murder is okay maybe??" moment (THAT I REMEMBER), etc. i feel like despite That Whole Plotline theres less making out/sex than in the game too?

-does she go on less self hating rants or am i just forgetting....

-if we MUST center this story around people wanting to kill alice for reasons related to her outsideriness i wish we got to heavily play up the "completed love" segment.

-a completed love.... that alice thinks the purest love is the love for a woman who's died. and that she feels she will never achieve being loved in that manner. near death experiences should be a perfect time to meditate on that, right? does she feel like she can achieve it? is she afraid that even in death, blood will ensure her memory is "some flirty girl who kisses up to everyone"- that she will Lose at Being Girl no matter what?

-i dont remember getting that though.... missed opportunities....

-i think positioning blood as an antagonist who wants to counter beliefs about outsiders by killing her couldve worked if he simply did not know her very well and then got to know her later on and was like oh i see. nevermind.

-oh, but the strangling was unrelated to this wasnt it? it was as punishment for walking into him and vivaldi's garden. which i think is a waste of like.... everything blood says about guilt, punishment, etc regarding elliot and that he sees the same in alice. couldve been a ~youve been a bad girl~ sexy scene lmao!!!! but he's apparently not allowed to have any sex appeal in this manga, so :'|

-couldve even tied itself emotionally to alice and lorina- siblings who can find peace in a garden but cant , for whatever reason, carry the story of "two siblings having pleasant conversation" outside of that space (for the dupres because it is dangerous, for the liddells because one of them is dead).

-man it makes me sad that hoshino's blood says she mustve cheated on her ex. dont SAY that to her dont you know what he DID-

"Where are you going"? John called after his daughter.

"No, if this is what she wants. Then let her go. She's got a good head on her shoulders. She's like her momma". John smiled and went to puffing on his pipe.

Turning the door handle you bargained into the bunkhouse. All the guys screamed when they saw it was you. They were changing.

"What the hell are you doing in here? I'm not decent". Ryan gasped covering his naked chest.

"Shut up, Ryan. Walker"? Your gaze turned to Walker who was laying in his bunk.

"You came for Walker"? Ryan gasped again more dramatically. Colby smacked him to shut him up.

"What are you doing in here"? Walker quickly got out of bed and backed you to the door. You held onto his arms.

"I need to tell you something".

"It can wait. You need to leave now".

"No. Walker I love you". You blurted out, making everyone in the room jaws drop.

"I love you so much that I'm willing to risk everything and run away with you. I'm willing to leave everything behind and go with you because I can't stand being without you".

"No one asked. I'm doing it because you mean the world to me. I want to have a family with you. Get married, live on a little piece of land, raise a dozen kids and grow old together. I want that so bad". You said teary eyed. Walker smiled widely.

"With you. Only you. I don't care if my father disapproves. I just know that I cant stay away from you. I know you want me too but have you seen yourself"? You laughed, making Walker snicker.

"I love you too, Y/N". Walker pulled you by the waist and wrapped his arms around you. He took your chin in his hand and kissed your lips soft and gentle.

You wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him deeper. "Just dont go doing any jobs Rip has for you to do unless you get it okayed by me first". You giggle into his lips.

"Okay". Walker cracked up.

"What's going on here"? Both Walker and you gulped, when hearing your fathers voice behind you.

"Walker's the one you want to be with"?

Letting go of Walker, you turned to face your father.

"Yes. I love him and I want to be with him. You have a problem with that"?

"No".

Walker felt like he could throw up after hearing that. He was so relieved. You jumped and wrapped your arms around your fathers neck. "Thank you, daddy".

"Thank you, sir". Walker held out his hand for John to shake.

"You hurt her in any way. You wont have to worry about going back to prison. Rip has a nice hole dug for you, just waiting if you screw up"? John warned but with a chuckle.

"I promise I wont. She means everything to me". Walker smiled at you.

John nodded and exited the bunkhouse. Letting out and excited squeal, you through your hand over Walkers neck. "Wanna continue what we started"?

"Yes, ma'am. Goodnight y'all". Walker scooped you up bridal style and headed out the door to a new and exciting future. Hoping he never screws up.

I can kind of see why they killed Stephen Walker off but honestly it was incredibly underwhelming. to me, it feels like a two birds one stone type thing. they needed there to be a sort of balance between the BAU and Scratch - if he caused that car crash and everyone survived with only minor injuries, then who would take him seriously? I can't remember the exact like. trope? but you know how it is when the good guys win everything and the bad guy is just sooo not good at being bad and kinda fucks everything up? idk if I'm making sense I'm v tired lol, but it would have been like that if everyone was okay

Scratch needed to be Evil and Scary and Bad so that people would want to hate him even more (as if we hadn't seen enough of that with him previously lol), so having him kill a member of the BAU was the perfect way to do that. but of course the writers are cowards and don't actually want to kill off any of the main characters, so Stephen Walker had to be the one to die ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

also he most likely would have left after they caught Scratch because that's all he was called in to do, but killing him off was, like I said, a two birds one stone thing

but it all just fell flat because no one really seemed to care that he died? Penny did ofc, and so did Emily, but idk. I know they were all busy trying to catch Scratch, and they were worried about Emily and Spencer, but it really felt like they were more relieved that Scratch was gone than upset that Stephen was, yknow?

anyway it just sucks because he was honestly such a great character, and I'd have loved it if his story had had a happy ending. his death just felt like a way for the writers to show how ~evil and bad~ Scratch was, instead of being about him as a character. it would have been more satisfying if he'd survived, been satisfied that he'd helped take down Scratch, then gone back to the BAP (or another department) once the case was over

(also that point you made about how it was such a boring way for him to die is sooo true. Hotch was stabbed and blown up. Emily was staked. Penny was shot in the abdomen. Reid was shot in the neck and overdosed. the fact that they all survived those things obviously is good and I'm glad they did but it just makes Stephen's death even worse. I think it was Rossi (maybe Luke or Matt?) that said Stephen died of whiplash. I just. idk I guess the BAU invincibility only extends to those who have been on the team longer than a year)

AKSJAKHDJ I FORGOT ABOUT REID GETTING SHOT IN THE NECK AKDJSKFJKVJ HE DIDNT EVEN HAVE A SCAR

idk. its kinda complicated bc on one hand i do see the story value of killing a team member to emphasize the very real physical threat of scratch. but on the other hand… like yes its lame to do it so plainly and not give any actual attention to it, but i think its that much worse that this cop show with a history of not doing right by their black characters casually killed walker off without any kind of care or consideration. not that thats a reason they shouldnt have done it, but it makes the fact that they did it so poorly that much worse, yk? this to say that this isnt necessarily a discussion to consider half heartedly. there’s a little more weight than there normally would be. its more important to create a story that treats the character w appropriate respect, even if it doesnt have a happy ending. taking it slightky more seriously than some of the other conversations. idk just emphasizing that thats always in the back of my mind when i think ab the fate of walker. gives the disappointment a sour taste

there are just so many ways they couldve done this that wouldve made everything so much more impactful. from large broader story changes to small little details that would still have a major effect. its like they put almost no effort into it at all. the way they killed him pales in comparison with other things other members had survived through, the funeral was a joke, hardly anyone acknowledged his death in the following episodes (except linda barnes, and we’re supposed to think she’s in the wrong for holding the unit chief accountable??). the only good moment was his wife’s speech over his body in the hospital… credit where credit is due, that scene was genuinely chilling. but even that only highlighted how shitty the rest of the show treats him.

starting small… you already mentioned it: showing the team grieve. this is like. a huge fucking deal. a bau team member DIED. theres usually like a three episode grieving period when a character LEAVES, so it feels so so fucking disrespectful when they treat his DEATH as casually as seaver transferring out of the unit or other side characters packing up and leaving. i get that he wasnt there for that long, but its not like he left. he fucking died. you’d think that would impact the team at least somewhat. they show penelope dealing with the immediate shock, but she doesnt say much after that. it’ll occasionally be brought up with emily, but its a fleeting reminiscence at best.

considering his reaction to emily’s abduction happening at the same time, you’d think reid would feel just as guilt ab walker’s death. its still in the aftermath of his impisonment and they act like dealing w his ptss is a bigger deal than a character’s death. like im sorry reidgirls but oh my fucking GOD get your priorities straight.

it would’ve been sooo much better if they showed luke struggling w his death, even if only in the one episode. they didnt really give walker a lot of screen time and he arrives right around the time the prison arc starts, which i always fucking skip because that whole thing was so stupid, so i dont remember all their interactions as much as i should, but it seemed like luke connected more w walker than the other junior agents on the team. even in that episode we see luke contact monica and catch her when her knees buckle as she says goodbye to her husband. the way that he was so gentle and empathetic in that moment… you’d think it wouldve made a difference in his emotional state. but we dont see anything like that. if we saw any emotions that his death may have stirred up, it would’ve made the moment where luke lets scratch die that much more impactful. bc its not just luke making a tactical decision for the sake of the team. sure he can use that to justify it later, but if he did it as a kind of revenge for walker….. whew. it’d add more to luke’s character as well, plus give a little closure to the situation making the radio silence on his death afterwards more acceptable.

if they were able to keep the actor for the episode, maybe they would’ve been able to give him a more visceral death than just having him die between seasons and not even showing it. i get that things dont always work out w actors and networks and stuff so im not gonna be super judgy ab this part bc sometimes they really cant help it (like they did w hotch). but if they COULD, then it wouldve made the death more visceral. like maybe scratch took walker too, accurately assuming he was hired as back up to help catch him. i always thought the torture scene was a little pathetic anyway lol like damn he just gave her a headache ig, but if he played them off each other…. man. (i mean. then you get into the whole thing ab killing a character of color for a white woman’s development, but at least itd be better than just “oh yeah he died :/“) especially if it was something that he had a little autonomy with.. not scratch straight up killing him, but walker making the decision to sacrifice himself to bring scratch down. they could have him be wounded from the crash or something and he knows he’s not gonna make it anyway, or at least their chance of both of them surviving this is minimal so he gives her the opportunity since he’s too far gone anyway. emily’s guilt from that would be something that would linger for a while… and maybe we’d get a chance to fucking talk about it instead of pretending walker just didnt exist. they could actually honor him.

and again i get that they may not have known where they were going quite yet and may not have realized they were gonna kill him at the end of the season. but establishing his character a little more and making him connect more w the team wouldve been good not just for his death but for the sake of the character. you could say he came in later in the season than usual so he didnt get as much of a chance, but so did emily in s2 and by the end she was already a valuable member of the team that we felt connected to without even realizing. they had such a perfect opportunity for jt too: theyre still reeling from the loss of hotch and yeah they have emily back but thats not enough to fill the void. walker fits the mold a little better. walker fulfills the mentor role very well and he has a much more soothing presence than any of those figures that we’ve had before, like rossi gideon or even hotch. if they made him vital to the emotional stability of the team, his absence would be palpable. it would rock them to their core, the devastation a constant reminder of their failure to protect one of their own. a reminder of their weakness that he had to die to protect them.

from a broader story perspective, i think it wouldve been much more fun if they killed rossi instead. not just bc i hate rossi lmaosjjdk but bc it wouldve had more of a blow on the bau figuratively? rossi’s really not that beloved or anything by anyone in particular (not since hotch left), but he is THEE founder of the bau, yk? he’s been with the team the longest, he’s a bau legend, he’s prominent both within the fbi and as a public figurehead. rossi’s death would’ve been a humiliating defeat for the bau, one that has more meaning than an agent who’s only been here a year. it wouldve forced them to acknowledge the death a little more bc he has been with us for xx seasons and they wouldnt be able to just brush it aside. (and even if they did it would just be funny)

idk i have a lot of issues with how walker was written and how they handled his death. what shouldve been such a shocking moment was glanced over and its like they wanted the audience to forget he even existed. he may not be everyones favorite, but he never got the chance. they didnt give him that, even when they had plenty of time. it was just a low moment for criminal minds writing, which is honestly saying something akdhskhd and tbh i dont think ill ever be able to say enough about it.
