What is the meaning of the IETM?

Manual: Manual means any literature organized or written in a prescribed manner to guide the user.

TechnicalManual: This means the literature is technical, like user manuals, maintenance manuals etc. Hard copy

Electronic Technical Manual: This means the manual is available in the form of an electronic version which simply means digital format or softcopy. It can be a PDF file or a database-driven software application.

Interactive Electronic Technical Manual:

Let us first understand the meaning of Interactive. The meaning of interactive is two people or things influencing each other.

Allowing a two-way flow of information between an electronic device /computer and a user; responding to a user’s input.

Involving the actions or input of a user. Especially

It means when the Electronic User manuals Interact and respond with the user, that is you, it will become an Interactive Electronic Technical manual.

The documents and pages are many hence, for easy and fast accessibility complete content is converted and stored as a database.

Whenever the user wants some information, IETM software produces the information in a fraction of a second.

Use or Purpose of the IETM?

The purpose of the Manual is to give information related to the equipment to the end user for quick reference.

All the technicality is written in detail so that when an issue arises, the user can refer to the manual, as every time OEM or technical person or subject matter expert might not be available on the spot to resolve the issue.

If the manual has 10 pages users can refer easily.

But any system used by the defence will have multiple manuals and thousands of page counts and many times a user has to cross-refer between manuals, intra-manual and inter-manual to resolve the issue.

Referring to 10- 15 hard-copy or even soft-copy books simultaneously will be difficult and time-consuming.

How to access the IETM ?

IETM is a web-based application like our bank software or any other web application. The graphic user interface will be provided to use IETM through which users can interact and get the desired data.

Like all other standard software, Unauthorized users cannot access the IETM. IETM is a Login - login-based application. Only users having valid Login credentials can access the software.

Based on the user log credentials data will be provided to the user.

IETM has 2 types of Users and one Administrator

Maintainer

Operator

If the operator logs in, the user gets all the content related to operator use, similarly if the maintainer logs in only maintenance-related content is visible for that user.

Ideally, all the content is available for both users, because the purpose of the IETM is to refer to the manual to fix the issue.

Administrators can create users who can see the user’s navigation and log-in history and interact with the users using user dashboards through Annotations.

What Inputs are Needed? (From OEM to Create IETM)

All the softcopies of user manuals to be converted to IETM.

All images Videos, and drawings to be integrated into IETM.

Subject matter expert to resolve technical clarifications

Table of contents/tree structure.

Minimum Hardware Requirements?

NO High-end hardware or servers are required to run IETM.

However, if more concurrent users, then a good configuration server with good LAN connectivity must be ensured.

i3 with 8 GB RAM systems is the minimum configuration required for the server or for Node.

Level of IETM, is it Level 3 or Level 4

Cost will be based on the number of pages that are to be converted

The vendor calculates the cost per page. And a fixed cost of IETM viewer software

If you want to create IETM by yourself self then you also need to buy IETM authoring software.

What are these Levels?

Level — 1 is any PDF file

Level — 2 is a PDF file with hyperlinks from the table of contents to the body etc.

Level — 3 is an HTML application. More hyperlinks, simple search, a content tree having log a screen with a hardcoded username and password and supplied in the format of EXE so that Windows can easily open

Level — 4 is Software plus Content/manuals converted as Database

Regarding Level — 5, rest assured, till 2028 it will be Level — 4 only. As of now, there is nothing practically called Level — 5. Few are calling virtual reality and Augmented reality and Artificial intelligence Level — 5.

Pulling data from many user inputs and analyzing and giving results are done in Level — 5. IETM software cannot pull the data from various real-time points as No OEM will give the real-time information to third-party software directly. Yes, if the information is available offline, then that information can be imported into IETM and can be used as a reference.

Venezuela traditional clothes!!

(read below for extra information)

Here's a small simplified guide to Venezuelan traditional clothing

1- Region de los llanos: the first set of clothes (left to right) are known as the face of Venezuela but technically they originate from the "Region de los llanos".

The first 2 outfits are called liqui liqui, they're the national outfit of Venezuela and can be worn both by men and women.

traditionally they're very simple and light colored but nowadays they come in many different forms. The other 2 dresses have no name but are known as "falda llanera" or "traje típico de joropo" and are used to dance!

They can be any color and often have flower patterns on them.

2- Region capital: this is the region were the capital is situated. The men here wear liqui liquis or simple outfits (like the one I drew).

The women's clothing is named "Dama antoñona", there's different versions of this costume but they're all rather European looking

Historically they used to be worn by high ranking rich women but nowadays they're more of a carnival thing

Region Zuliana: once again, the men wear rather simple looking clothes or a version of the liqui liqui. The women wear "mantas guajiras"

Originally the manta guajira was only the Wayuu peoples's traditional wear, a native American group found in the guajira (land shared between Colombia and Venezuela), but with time the clothing started being worn by the zulians as well.

4- Region andina: this region is the coldest in Venezuela. Men wear a sort of poncho called "Ruana" the women's clothes have no name.

The dress that I drew in the middle is sometimes used to dance, here's an example

I've mainly seen it worn by kids tho xd

A few extra things:

-There's more regions but this 4 are the most important ones/the ones that inspired the rest. The Last 2 clothes are an example

-although I gave all the Chibis cowboy hats, we have multiple different types. Those are the most popular ones but if you need a reference for hats feel free to ask lol

-i didn't draw shoes. We do have traditional shoes but I was too tired to draw them. Once again if anyone needs a reference for them ask

-this one is kinda of a no duh, but majority of this clothes aren't worn every day and are only used for patriotism, dances or festivals.

Not me creeping up to the wordcount of the fourth longest book ever written

BC with Dark Mode it's highlighting white text #which makes it impossible to read my footnote and page numbers #Also I CANNOT believe this program was coded to be so that 'Ignore' and 'Ignore All' options only do so for the CURRENT SESSION ONLY #Like what in god's name??? #I spent 3-4 hours reformatting AROS after converting it only to learn that all the 'errors' I told it to ignore just popped back #the second I reopened the document like jesus christ #Why even offer those options if it doesn't do it permanently for that document file #HHHHHHHhhhhhhHHHHHH #I then spent another several hours being forced to change the language formatting to French for all the French bits #JUST so it would stop underlining all of them in red #And there's no way for me to get rid of the underlining on things like cut off bits of dialogue #bc they are NOT proper words and I refuse to add them to my Dictionary (thus polluting it) just to get rid of them #Ugh #So anyway remember years ago how I joked about what if I accidentally wrote a fanfic longer than the source material itself #That being one of the longest books ever written (technically THE longest book ever written #if we're counting the FRENCH version of it and not the English translation #And yeah I know I technically split AROS into 3 books but that was only for reader convenience #It's still one book in my heart #And also because I think it would be REALLY funny to surpass Hugo's wordcount #Which is entirely plausible bc in English it was only about 531k so I only a little over 100k off and I think I can easily make that #with the material I have left to write but is already mostly plotted out

My review of Miraculous Ladybug S5 so far is that it has a lot of scenes that I like in theory, but in action just end up being very silly and way over dramatic

#that being said. i love them all the same #genuinely obsessed with this show #but man it handles everything in such an odd way #they always spend so much time talking about nothing for the first 75% of the episode #and then the last 25% hikes up the drama to 100 and its always so abrupt #'illusion' is an excellent example of this lol #that episode had such a strange and sudden tone shift #its bizarre that the episodes are 22 minutes long but still barely manage to say anything #this is all technically criticism but make no mistake. i wouldnt have it any other way #this is truly the peak of miraculous ladybug. this is what it should ALWAYS be #so far i dont think theres been an episode where ive been particularly BORED. theyve all got a little spice to them #which i appreciate #well. i kinda didnt like the first 2 episodes. those were just a lot of running around #but everything after that has been exactly what i wanted #tldr: the pacing is weird and i wouldnt change a thing #my notes document on this show is up to 8 pages. ive never had as many opinions on a show as I do this one #im a certified miraculous stan

beneath the dark of the night sky, the ground crumbles out from under them, and they fall into shadow and nothing, through the boughs of great trees.

when mal wakes up, aching and blinking blood from his eyes, its to see a man crouched over alina’s prone form. mal’s heart skips a beat in fear, and he struggles to get his arms under him. a stick cracks beneath his hand, deafening in the deadly quiet.

the man’s head snaps to face him. two fully black eyes lock onto mal from a beautiful, unnatural face. it stares for a beat too long, unblinking, then places a long white finger against its lips.

terror draws mal’s voice from his throat. “alina,” he chokes desperately.

the man’s head tilts just a bit too far, his black eyed gaze too intense, watching mal closely. his hand stills in alina’s hair.

“alina,” the man repeats, in exactly the same way, and alina wakes up.

she shifts, blinking her eyes blearily at mal, and mal gapes at the empty space above her.

“mal?” she asks, and there’s a howling far in the forest, wind rustling the leaves. silence. 

“I thought...” he trails off uncertainly. “let’s just go.”

he helps her up, steadying her as much as his own weak arms can, and they make their way back home. the forest seems to go on forever. trees growing taller and wider, shadows darkening until all is swallowed within them. for a time, it appears as if every star has been pulled from the sky, and bramble thickens the underbrush at their feet.

but then they break through the treeline into a familiar field. sunlight pours over the horizon, painting the tall grasses in luminous golds, and all is well again. their feet ache from walking for what feels like days. mal takes alina’s hand, and she turns to smile at him.

his heart pounds in his chest at the movement, caught in his throat for one painful second. alina’s shadow doesn’t move. 

“alina...” he starts again, voice shaking, but then he blinks, and her shadow is facing him just as she is. she smiles like the sun. then laughs playfully, knowing, tugging him along.

“come on, mal.”

they walk hand in hand back to the orphanage. it’s hardly a home, and they’re going to age out soon, but mal is grateful to see its familiar doors. he grips alina’s hand even tighter as they walk inside, feeling a profound sense of relief. they’re safe now, and everything can be normal again.

then ana kuya is bustling toward them, reprimanding them for their dirty clothes, and mal forgets about everything as they’re dragged to the bathrooms to get clean. ana kuya’s words are sharp as usual, and the other kids giggle at them from around the corners. 

alina rolls her eyes at them, then hesitates, head tilting, a laugh spilling unbidden from her lips. mal blinks at her uncertainly.

“alina? are you okay?” he asks, baffled by the strange behavior, and she rolls her eyes at him too.

“i’m fine mal, honestly, let’s just get this over with.” she steps forward into the hall, before it’s long, antique mirror, and in her reflection mal sees a tall man at her back, pressed against her, fingers locked in her hair.

mal chokes in surprise, horror, mind blank with terror. the man seems to be whispering something in alina’s ear.

“alina-” mal starts. “alina-” she turns to face him, but the man keeps whispering in her ear. her shadow doesn’t move.

“mal, are you okay? you’ve been acting strange since we woke up.”

“the man-” finally, alina’s shadow turns to him. the man’s black eyes stare eerily back at him. he settles his chin atop alina’s head, hand still locked in her hair. she doesn’t even react. outside her reflection, there is only her. 

he brings one long finger to his lips again, silencing, and mal finds he has no words.

alina tuts at him. she grabs his numb hand and pulls him along. they leave the mirror and her reflection behind, but mal does not feel that same sense of relief. his tongue is leaden, breath racing. alina is not even fazed.

her shadow moves with her when she guides them to the bathroom door, mimicking her every action. it is just a shadow.

“come on,” alina says gently, as if his bump on the head knocked too many screws loose. maybe it had. “a nice bath will warm you up.” she glances back at him worriedly. “perhaps we should avoid the woods for a while.”

mal could not agree more. 

she reaches out to run her fingers comfortingly through his hair, and her shadow reaches with her.
