My Top 10 Favorite Anime Heroines by DarkChild316
Being a hero isn’t easy, but someone’s gotta do it! And these ladies have shown to be just as capable as their male counterparts. Now I’ve already done a list showing everyone “My Top 10 Anime Villainesses”, but I figured: “Hey the good girls deserve some love too,” so I decided to give you guys my list of my Favorite Anime Heroines as well. So, with that in mind, here’s my list:
#10. Saeko Busujima (Highschool of the Dead): This is an anime that will give you plenty of two things in abundance…boobs and zombies! While it may seem like your run-of-the-mill apocalyptic fanservice anime, among the well-proportioned ladies is this kendo warrior who’s more than capable of holding her own against any foe and would fit right in with even the most old-school samurai-themed anime. When the dead start to walking most of the cast usually reach for a form of firearms, not this lady who prefers to slice apart the undead with the greatest of discipline and precision, whether it be with her signature bokken or her deadly Murata-tou sword. There’s no denying that Saeko’s the ideal companion we’d want on our side for a zombie apocalypse.
#9. Touka Kirishima (Tokyo Ghoul): Living as a ghoul isn’t easy, especially when you’re trying your damnest to retain what little remains of your humanity. Starting off as a cold, yet collected individual, Touka found shelter in both the horrors of her dark past and her constant hunger for flesh in her day job at a café as a waitress which serves other ghouls and as a hangout stop for ghouls. While she grew warmer as her relationship with one Ken Kaneki grew, she’s not without her bestial side, possessing an abject hatred for the CCG after they killed her parents. In a series where everyone seems to be on the edge of insanity and turning into a rampaging, bloodthirsty monster, Touka is one of the few characters genuinely fighting for a chance at a peaceful life.
#8. Riza Hawkeye (Fullmetal Alchemist): Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye is undoubtedly one of the best female anime characters of all time and for good reason, she is truly the perfect soldier. As both an Amestrian State Military’s officer as well as Colonel Roy Mustang’s bodyguard, Riza Hawkeye is a dangerous sharpshooter and firearms specialist. From the outside she can seem strict and even a little cold, but those close to her know that there’s much more to her than her strict no-nonsense attitude, including a courteous nature in the presence of her allies and a desire to protect those she holds dear. Beneath the strict persona is a kind soul who understands the difficulty of carrying a heavy burden and let’s not forget…she’s a true badass in every sense o the word!
#7. Erza Scarlett (Fairy Tail): She went from child slave to arguably one of the strongest mages in all of Fiore. All while battling against S-Class mages, terrifying demons, and even her own psychotic mother, now that’s dedication folks! Forced by her possessed childhood friend to build the Tower of Heaven, she manages to escape her captivity and make her way to Fairy Tail, where she would soon rise to become one of Fairy Tail’s youngest S-Class mages and one of the most truly badass fighters in Fairy Tail’s ranks. With her magical ability known as Re-Quip, she has an unlimited number of weapons and armors at her disposal, each possessing their own devastating abilities. She’s a stoic warrior with a soft heat and a dark past, and you can bet your ass that she’ll fight to defend her Nakama to the bitter end.
#6. Ryuko Matoi (Kill la Kill): Her choice of armor may be a bit on the revealing side but going against this rebel isn’t the smartest idea if you value your life. You’re not likely to find a more stubborn soul in this absolutely whacky series and trust me…NONE of these characters are on the subtle side of things. In search of her father’s killer, Ryuko takes up the sentient life-fiber uniform Senketsu, and openly battles the dictatorship that is the Student Council. Stubborn as hell, Ryuko will always stand up to anyone who gets in her way, no matter how badly the odds are stacked against her. How can you not love someone with that kind of drive!
#5. Saber (Fate/stay night): Before she became a hero in the endless Holy Grail Wars, Saber was actually Artoria Pendragon, known throughout history as King Arthur, the mythical King who united Britain. As the Saber-class servant, Artoria generally tries to hide her identity in battle by using an invisible sword. When pushed, she can brandish Excalibur instead though, a sword she wields with unmatched skill and can do long-range attacks as easily as close-range. With her holy sword, and her “Mana Burst” ability, she is one of the most powerful Servants. Saber is loved by fans worldwide for good reason: she is kind, valiant, and fierce, all traits that make for one divine heroine. None would mind putting the fate of the world in this blonde beauty's hands.
#4. Mikasa Ackerman (Attack on Titan): Attack on Titan's Mikasa is one of those reserved, stoic characters who doesn't speak very often and seems to be stuck in her own head. After all the trauma she’s experienced living under the looming terror of Titans and the carnage she witnessed while part of the Survey Corps, not to mention the brutal murder of her biological parents by criminals, it would be difficult to come out unscathed. Perhaps it’s endurance that is one of Mikasa’s most relatable traits. Despite her often-cynical comments about the world around her, she manages to retain her humanity. Mikasa herself said, “This world is cruel. And yet... so beautiful.” The stereotypical boy-saves-girl gender roles that play out in media are also very much reversed when it comes to her relationship with Eren, which is a refreshing and welcome change of pace to see, though her protectiveness of him seems a little unhealthy at times. On top of everything mentioned, she’s also totally ripped.
#3. Asuka Langley Soryu (Neon Genesis Evangelion): I just couldn’t leave out Neon Genesis Evangelion’s Asuka Langey Soryu from this list of awesome female protagonists. Asuka is a classic anime heroine and remains beloved by fans of the show to this day. Asuka is an American teenage girl who serves as an Eva pilot for the Evangelion Project and pilots the Evangelion Unit-02. Asuka was raised in Germany and often swears in German. She was a child prodigy with a college degree at only fourteen years old, but definitely has her human flaws. She has a temper and is obsessed with being the best at everything she does. Despite these flaws, Asuka is hilarious in her own way and has the kind of confidence and pride you rarely see in a young girl. She knows she can do her job well and isn't afraid to tell you about it. Asuka is relatable in that she is stubborn and often has a hard time properly expressing her feelings and vulnerability to others. Her eventual nervous breakdown shines a light on her humanity-- she is not a perfect person and she is still a child forced to do a job that no child should be forced to do.
#2. Motoko Kusanagi (Ghost in the Shell): Major Motoko Kusanagi is one of the primary protagonists of the popular Ghost in the Shell franchise of manga, films, and animated series. Motoko is a cyborg who works as a field commander for Public Security Section 9 on the Japanese National Public Safety Commission. Motoko is a very physically strong and incredibly intellectual who that is quick-witted and an excellent hacker. But put a firearm in her hand, and she’s especially deadly. As a child, Motoko was comatose following an airplane accident. After her health began to steadily decline, her consciousness was put into a  "full-body prosthesis,” an augmented-cybernetic human body. Motoko causes us to question exactly what makes us human. She is an emotional, stoic, strong woman who fights for the citizens she protects, yet she lives inside an artificial body. But her greatest use is as a platform to speak on the nature of humanity in a technological age. She's a human mind that has been stuck in an artificial body since childhood, and her life and trials bring up the age-old question, "What does it mean to be human?"
#1. Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon): You really can’t have a list of awesome female protagonists without including everyone’s favorite schoolgirl superhero: Usagi Tsukino from Sailor Moon. Usagi is the embodiment of an empowering female in anime in her fearless display of conventional femininity without any implied weakness. Usagi is your typical teenage girl who is all about her friends, food, and cute things, while simultaneously being a badass heroine who cleanses the streets of evil. In the original manga and anime, Usagi was portrayed as reluctant to be a superhero and would often run away from fights and be a crybaby. However, through her careful character development, Usagi becomes a brave, reliable, and confident person who cares deeply for her friends. She becomes a better version of herself without stereotypically “shedding” her girliness. Instead, her femininity becomes a defining feature of hers, deconstructing the idea that being girly makes you weak. On the contrary, Usagi’s girliness makes her funny, relatable, and a good role model for young girls. Usagi set the template for a generation of female heroines for generations to come, and it’s for that reason why she’s well-deserving of my #1 ranking on my list.
So that's my updated list, what did you guys think about it? Love it, hated it? Go on and tell me what you think and let me know who your favorite anime heroines are. See you soon!

A Stolen Wife (Gilgamesh, Hakuno, Ishtar, Artoria)
“What a shame the great king of Uruk can’t even think about having someone close to him,” Ishtar teased, leaning near Artoria. “He was such a poor king when it came to women that I doubt any woman that he would become interested in would look back at him.”
Gilgamesh held his goblet, sensing his master’s discomfort nearby.
Her silence spoke more than any words she could dare to speak. After all, she was trying to bond with both Artoria and with Ishtar. Ever since she had summoned them both, he’d been tossed into the back of the Chaldean listings and been left to watch. He watched as Ishtar teased and laughed with Artoria, learning of his interest in the Saber. She’d rubbed against the woman, earning an affection that had simply sent Gilgamesh’s stomach into an unpleasant churn.
After all, who wanted the leftovers from Ishtar?
Still, the woman persisted. Her coos, her purrs; she combined them all to create something that he could only compare to a contraceptive. The very sight was enough to make him consider chastity, with Ishtar leaning in to murmur into Artoria’s ear.
The woman was laughing at the goddess, rolling her eyes a little. There was little consideration for what it meant for Ishtar to be a goddess, little interest in learning what kind heinous crimes against humanity the woman had committed.
No, she laughed away.
“You know,” Ishtar murmured as he got up, “Gudako tends to keep couples… I have little doubt she’ll keep you much longer.”
He’d been thinking about that.
Still, he lifted his nose at the woman, eyeing her like the useless waste that she was.
“Strange how you spend your time, Saber. I see destroying the very grail you hoped to use with your master and squandering the people that you claimed to be king over are not your only faults.”
Those green eyes were so luminous.
There was something truly beautiful about them, but then… They also reminded him of the scales of that foul beast that had stolen the herb of immortality from him. Lithe and beautiful, yet so intrinsically useless; their lives were nothing more than markers. They were signs of how not to proceed.
The goblet was tossed back into his gates as he left the room.
He ignored Gudako’s calling for him, opting for the silence and the peace of his room.
What he didn’t want right now was pity. He also knew that Gudako had been given the privilege of summoning couples in her summoning room. Dumuzi was here in a form, giving Ishtar, reluctantly, her spouse. Merlin was here, often chasing after his king. Ozymandias was almost never appearing anymore. He had Nefertari at his side. Cu Chulainn had some rider by the name of Laeg here.
There was another Cu Chulainn, but he seemed rather attached to Medb of Connacht.
Other servants had faced burnings. Their numbers had continued to rise, leaving the master with a great number of mana prisms and rare prisms. He and Gudako had worked together for a time, but…
Well, he was not fond of the flowery idolization of Saber’s method of ruling. That blind and senseless desire to put all other’s needs over one’s own was something that would lead them all into trouble. It was only natural that he would point this out.
The problem lay now in what Ishtar had pointed out: most servants had someone to temper them.
Gudako had not given him a great amount of experience embers. She had been restricting his time battling and had been leaving him only with Merlin. Now with Ishtar, she had another Archer available.
He had… few options.
He could, theoretically, appeal to Gudako. His strengths were far greater than Ishtar’s and his skills made him a force to be reckoned with. If she would take him up on improving them a bit further, they’d be something she’d rely on relentlessly.
Appealing to her would show humbleness. It would show his desire to remain a part of this team and to further their ventures into rescuing humanity from its own demise. There would be compromises to make. He would be forced to swallow more attention and more uselessness from those around him if he decided to go with this train of thought.
Ultimately, humiliation lay in that direction.
He could rebel when the time came for being burned. He could strike back at the fools that would come his way, seeing how long he could outlast them and threaten his master into obedience. There was a chance that she could be quelled or seduced…
Seducing his master, though?
Gudako was quaint, but she was nothing radiant. She had that cute charm that was overshadowed by the cutthroat and cold blooded ability to burn servants while looking them straight in the eyes. The number of times she had burned that Mephistopheles…
Gilgamesh shivered.
Some things were not humane, that being one of them.
Along with that, even if he were to fight, the woman had been raising Artoria with a vengeance. Soon the saber would be able to overpower him easily, leaving him in an uncomfortable state. The opportunity to burn him being provided on top of that would be more than Saber would be able to resist.
He’d wake up in the burn chamber.
He couldn’t appeal to the woman. He couldn’t fight. Gilgamesh glanced around his chamber, thinking carefully.
…There was… no one of import to quell him.
His friend was arguably a contender, but when he was in the mood for something, the being had been more of an enabler. Rather than calming him, the being would end up throwing logs on the fire, stoking it to a height that no one, not even Gudako at her worst, would be able to temper down.
There’d been a good amount of thought on this before. His summons meant that the other could be summoned, of that, he was sure.
This meant he didn’t have anyone though. There was no one to equal him or to calm his voice, as Gudako had with all her other servants. To allow such things would mean too much. He would not lessen himself or contain himself for the benefit of others.
The fighting was good though.
He enjoyed the fights, the spoils; anything and everything about being able to have a human body at times.
Perhaps…
Perhaps the best plan was to simply create his own.
There was no problem with doing such a thing, was there? The universe was full of realities. He could find something in his gates, part the tides of time, pluck someone of merit out, and claim them as something valuable to him. A wife or spouse or something.
Filtering through the Gates for his magecraft tablets took time, namely because he had hidden these tablets well since they were stolen from the gods of his time. Reading through them, another challenge as the gods had seen fit to blend his people’s tongue with that of the other kingdoms in a blasphemy crime against humanity, took time. He held up one about chaining a person to another, finding the text of interest.
A curse to create heartache and prolonged health issues due to the separation from another.
He had a feeling that had been used on him for his friend.
Clever, but he would use it for his created spouse. It would be something of a leash, keeping them near so that he could keep from further issues.
Another one simply showed what had to be prototype command spells.
Another contender in ways to housetrain his summons.
“Ah!” Gilgamesh grinned, finding what he was looking for.
The rift was the easy part.
His hands parted the air and the world like the fabrics of a curtain, allowing him to peer through time. He could see a man with a goatee, demanding him to use his Ea.
Loud.
Gilgamesh ferreted a bit of power to his self in that time, closing the rift back up and trying again.
An arrow was shot through his forehead.
Gilgamesh stared at himself being killed, his stomach churning.
Unsuitable.
He closed the rift and parted it again.
A young girl in what seemed to be a flowing white gown glanced his way, frowning deeply from where she stood. Her eyes drifted to where his body of that time and space was, but he shook his head and closed the rift once more.
Too young.
If he wanted a child, he would have prostrated himself to Ishtar or Saber for their attentions. While the latter would be unlikely, he had little doubt that the former would turn him away.
The thought was repugnant.
“I WON’T GIVE UP MY CONTRACT WITH GILGAMESH!”
What was this?
Gilgamesh looked in, finding the woman standing before his unconscious body upon a wall. Her arms were outstretched, blocking the woman nearby. Her brown hair reminded him of his people. The pale skin, flawless and smooth, reminded him of his friend.
It was the expression on her face though- that did him in.
He opened the gates just inside the rift, causing the woman who’d been defending him to fall. With that done, he sealed the rift once again, fixing his room a bit before he let the woman fall forth from his gates.
Now came the interesting part.
First things first, those curses. He used them both, finding the command spells forming in the form of extra red ink upon his chest. The other curse left no mark, just a strange feeling that nagged at the edge of his senses.
The woman’s attire was thrown, burning soon enough in the fireplace in his room. He swathed her properly in his people’s garments…
No, this didn’t work.
It did, but it didn’t work.
He looked at her unadorned body, watching the woman lay unconscious for a bit.
Cheetah print.
As soon as his mind thought of how she slept like a kitten, the image of cheetah print came to mind. In fact, snakeskin would look suitable too. Perhaps a few furs. He began to look through his gates once again, opting for something from that modern time.
He’d snatched a few things in his summons. While the memories of them came and left, the items were never forgotten.
He liked the white shirt and snakeskin. Adorning her with some gold did wonders.
Brown hair was rather dull, but…
The brown hair that the woman had gleamed quite nicely against his bedsheets. The faint glimmer of gold and garnet in that hair color drew his eyes in, intriguing him.
Tonight, since he was feeling amused, he would permit her to rest in his bed. She had entertained him. She was bound to him. Tomorrow he could look into what that would mean a bit further.
“Gil…”
The woman turned, pressing a hand to his chest.
Ah, one last thing.
The command spells on her hand- he forced them from her, releasing whatever servant she had been bound to. Without them, she was nothing more than a mere mage.
Gudako would not take the risk of removing him from Chaldea now.
After all, who would care for his poor wife?

Servant #3: Artoria (Alter)
Tumblr media
Our next Servant is the Burger King herself, Artoria Alter! Our goals for this build is, unsurprisingly, pretty similar to that of Artoria proper: a fancy laser sword, mana bursts, and as an addition, the ability to summon a skeleton army to help sack Fuyuki. Her spreadsheet is here, and details are below the cut.
Race and Background
Like before, your background is Knight, giving you three retainers and proficiency in History and Persuasion. This time, however, you’re a variant human, giving +1 to only your Constitution and Charisma in exchange for starting with the feat Great Weapon Master and Athletics proficiency.
Your skills are similar to your counterpart, taking a hit to dexterity to bump up several of your other stats. We’re using the standard array, but feel free to roll as long as you can multiclass. From high to low, we’re going Strength, Charisma, Constitution, Intelligence, Dexterity, Wisdom. The general reasoning for each is in Artoria’s explanation, but the hit to dexterity is a canonical part of Salter’s kit due to her heavier armor.
Class levels
1. Paladin 1. First level paladins get Divine Sense, letting you sense extraplanar entities that would threaten your rule, and Lay on Hands, because you can’t trust anyone else to help you in a moment of weakness.
2. Paladin 2. Second level paladins get a Fighting Style: you specifically get Great Weapon Fighting, so you can swing around Excalibur Morgan like it ain’t no thing. You also get Divine Smite, giving you the option to burn magic for extra damage, and your first taste of Spellcasting. Paladins have their whole list open to them, but can only prepare a number of them equal to their charisma mod + 1/2 their paladin level. I suggest focusing on the various smites available to you because who doesn’t love more sword on their sword, plus Command. You’re the king, and everyone should listen to you.
3. Paladin 3. Third level paladins get to pick their oath, but you’re going to start out as an Oathbreaker, because nothing’s more important to you than staying on the throne. You gain the channel divinity powers Control Undead, because not even death can end your rule, and Dreadful Aspect, because repression is for suckers who lose to their son. You also have Divine Health, making you immune to disease because you’re just that scary.
At this level, you also pick up Hellish Rebuke and Inflict Wounds as oath spells, because if someone’s stupid enough to attack you they deserve to be set on fire.
4. Warlock 1. First level warlocks get a patron, yours is The Grail, a Great Old One. It gave you these shiny new powers, and in return you stuff your face with burgers. (That’s how this works, right?) You also receive an Awakened Mind, letting you telepathically speak with anything less than 30′ away from you; perfect for intimidating people who don’t speak your language. And people who do. Honestly if someone started talking in my head I’d just do what they asked me to.
You also receive your Pact Magic. Like before, the slots don’t mix with spellcasting, but you can use warlock spells in paladin slots and vice versa. For cantrips, take Booming Blade because it’s basically a free smite and Eldritch Blast because the alternative is a warlock not taking eldritch blast, a literally unthinkable event. For first level spells, take Cause Fear to stop the populace from rebelling and Arms of Hadar to make them regret trying in the first place.
5. Warlock 2. Second level warlocks get Eldritch Invocations, you’re getting Agonizing Blast to make your Eldritch Blast more worthy of coming out of your sword and another, easily replaceable one. You also gain the spell Hex to make your blade just that much sharper.
6. Warlock 3. Third level warlocks get their pact boon, and you enter the Pact of the Blade, giving you a magical weapon you can bring into and out of existence as a bonus action. At this point replace that other Invocation with Improved Pact Weapon, giving Excalibur +1 on attack and damage rolls and turning it into your spell focus. You also gain the spell Shadow Blade, which is a bit awkward at the moment, but the free advantage in darkness is well worth it.
7. Warlock 4. Fourth level warlocks get an Ability Score Improvement, split this one into Strength and Charisma to make your enemies’ lives more painful. You also gain the spell Mind Spike, letting you hunt down enemies of the crown (i.e., your enemies) with unfailing accuracy.
8. Warlock 5. Fifth level warlocks get another spell. Take Enemies Abound to help open your enemies’ eyes to how the world really works. You also get another Invocation, in your case Eldritch Armor, letting you don armor in an action instead of several minutes. With any luck you’ll be convincing your DM to let you doff armor that fast as well, or else the next two levels are pointless.
9. Barbarian 1. Switch into barbarian mode to pick up Unarmored Defense, turning your minimum AC to 10 + Dex + Con, and Rage, letting you Mana Burst to gain advantage on strength checks, resistance to all kinds of damage, and a damage bonus to your melee attacks, all at the cost of not being able to cast or concentrate on spells while doing so.
10. Barbarian 2. Gain Reckless Attack to gain advantage now in exchange for your enemies gaining advantage later, and Danger Sense to help bolster your weak dexterity.
11. Warlock 6. Back in the powerful class, you gain Entropic Ward, letting you impose disadvantage on an attacking creature and giving you advantage on your next attack as well. Now you can have all the power of the reckless attack with only some of the downside. You also get the spell Fear this level, letting you - and more importantly, your enemies - see their greatest fear. If this doesn’t just make another copy of you, you haven’t been beating them enough.
12. Warlock 7. Seventh level warlocks get another invocation. This time take Devil’s Sight. It’ll make sense in a few levels, I swear. Also pick up your last warlock spell, Shadow of Moil. Again, if someone’s foolish enough to hit you, they deserve whatever’s coming to them.
13. Paladin 4. Fourth level paladins get an Ability Score Improvement, which you’ll trade in for War Caster. All these spells are useless if you can’t cast them with your sword in hand.
14. Paladin 5. Fifth level paladins get an Extra Attack, as well as 2nd level Paladin spells. You receive Crown of Madness and Darkness as oath spells, and I recommend looking at Branding Smite and Zone of Truth. It’s important that your subjects are honest with you. You will make your subjects honest with you.
15. Paladin 6. Sixth level paladins get an Aura of Protection, granting a bonus on all saving throws you make equal to your charisma modifier, and making all attempts to dethrone you that much less likely to succeed.
16. Paladin 7. Seventh level paladins get an Aura of Hate, granting you and your undead allies (don’t worry they’re coming) a bonus to all melee damage rolls equal to your charisma modifier, and making all those who attempted to dethrone you that much more penitent.
17. Paladin 8. Eighth level paladins get an Ability Score Improvement,  dump yours into Strength.
18. Paladin 9. Ninth level paladins gain access to their third level spells. You gain Animate Dead and Bestow Curse as oath spells, finally giving you troops that are actually loyal to you. You should also look into Blinding Smite and Dispell Magic, just in case any fool thinks some enchantments will be enough to even the playing field against you.
19. Paladin 10. Tenth level paladins get an Aura of Courage, rendering you immune to being frightened. You’re much more likely to be the one doing the frightening anyway.
20. Paladin 11. For your final level, you receive your Improved Divine Smite, adding 1d8 radiant damage to all of your melee attacks.
This build is much more offensively focused than the original Artoria’s, trading dexterity and health for raw strength and combat spells. Like the original, you’re able to fight both in close and mid range, supplementing your physical prowess with magic when needed. Unlike her, you fight dirty, blinding and frightening opponents, and outnumbering them with skeletal minions.
Unfortunately, all those extra warlock levels were as healthy for you as those burgers you love so much, causing a slight dip in your health. Several of your spells are also concentration based, so you can’t use shadow blade and darkness or Shadow of Moil at the same time. Also like Artoria, you need to get your DM’s permission to make your mana burst shine.

Being a jester, he could be as overt as possible and almost never go noticed. This served him well in gathering secrets by listening into conversations, even learning the darkest kept secrets of the king and queen themselves. This skill also gives him a sort of charisma. [A false persona (A)]: Even a fake smile, with enough effort put into it, can even surpass the smile of the happiest man in the world. Even though he works in high society, he was born as a commoner near the border between Camelot and France. He is very cynical as a person and has a distaste for most of nobility, but because of his role as the jester, he must put on a happy face and smiling facade for the nobles he hates. There has only ever been one person to ever make him feel at ease enough to let down his mask, and that was the person he loved. [The rebellion of grief (EX)]: the person he loved is dead. The person he loved died at the hand of the king. [Calabron: sword of the destined Heir] Rank: C Type: Anti-Unit description: the sword was not originally his. It belonged to his love before they picked up the royal sword Clarent. They passed the sword onto him as a sign of their love for him, and as such he wields it with pride and love. Its main effects sealed besides a passive enchantment gained by it originally being Mordred’s weapon, that being channeling Prana and turning hatred and emotion into energy. [Dias Requiem: Spear of deceived death] Rank: C Type: Anti-Unit Description: a weapon hiding in plain sight, waiting to be used. he carried this spear from his home village. it was disguised as a Baton so he could always have a weapon in political gatherings. it has a limited dimension refraction effect of launching 1 real and 4 fake attacks that can all become the true attack at a moment’s notice. a true weapon of deceit.

Me Watching Fate/Apocrypha Ep 6
OOOO battle of camlann as opening, nice
Have I told you I miss Mordred?
“YO ARTHUR BACK OFF U AIN’T TYPE MOON NUMBER 1 CASH COW ANYMORE” 100% what Mordred just says
Mordred: Look Dad I kill them all bc of you think I suck. Artoria: Well but U still suck.
But anyway, damn Artoria that was really cold.
I can feel the pure rage in Mordred’s voice, applause to Miyuki Sawashiro!
Last time somebody thrusted a similarly giant lance into their enemy, it was also into a red fan favorite king/servant. So really Artoria, u ain’t that different to Gilgamesh.
Did I just come up with a Gil x Artoria material oh my god I’m a genius desperate shipper
The Knights of Round Tables more like Mean Girls: Camelot Version
MOVE EVERYBODY BEST BOY BEDIVERE IS HERE FOR 3 SECONDS ALL HAIL THE SHINING AIRGETLAM!
I have feelings for Bedivere since ever and I don’t care if u don’t understand
Loli Mordred is cute
Ooo Morgan le Fay appears. I am actually curious how does she actually look like? Is she saberface too? She looks like bitch saber even without face
The king is too perfect. The keyword is ‘too’ Mordred. Too much of something is not good.
I believe that Mordred is still convinced that Artoria is a man because the differences Artoria and Morgan have are very...ahem...apparent.
Oh so that’s why she thinks Morgan and Semiramis are similar. Similar aura....similar magic aptitude...similar very long hair... similar boobs...
Mordred: *looks damn cute* Artoria: Meh. Mordred: *looks damn murderous*
If Mordred is summoned as Berserker I bet she’d be just Lancelot 2.0
Kairi be like “Can’t you just show me a nice adventure moment instead of bloody family drama?”
Who has the idea of animating Mordred playing with cat U are a genius.
Waver be like “Don’t forget the II I’m not some asshole nobleman who belittles everybody for not having noble blood like him”
Who has the idea of animating Mordred playing with cat U are a genius A-1 give him raise.
One episode I think A-1 purposely skips out Celenike kidnapping a homunculus butler to her room, they proceed to shove his bloody mangled corpse to my face. Great..
If Mordred has pure unadulterated rage towards Artoria then I have pure unadulterated disgust towards Celenike
If you don’t have a slightest bit of disgust towards Celenike I don’t know what’s wrong with you man
Seriously where did they afford that cool chess set? I want one
What Vlad says: Hmm. What Vlad means: I want to judge your ruthless decision to sacrifice Gordes now that he’s useless but I think that’s a good idea too
Gordes: wasted.
Roche: “I wanna make Sensei’s dreams come true!” Me: “Great, another master with selfless decent wish!” Roche: “Then I can learn more about golems!” Me: “Cool learning spirit kid!” Roche: “That’s why for it to happen, magi and servants and the whole world if needed can just die for all I care!” Me: “Um.”
Seriously kids these days
HOLY SHIT I LOSE MY SHIT CAULES’S ROOM IS LITERALLY AN OTAKU ROOM
HE HAS A MAGICAL GIRL POSTER FOR GOD’S SAKE
CAULES I FUCKING LOVE YOU
I really wanna take you seriously with this dangerous and noble intention you speaking of but not with that Magical Medical Musical poster
A-1 better animate him using his magic next episode
Fran: For an otaku with mediocre talent at magecraft u are a very good master huh
Fran for Earth Hour Ambassador
LOOK AT HER FACE SHE SO PROUD in the novel she thinks Caules will praise her for unplugging the PC AND THAT’S PRECIOUS
Mordred’s role in this episode is just being angry, eating and playing with cat
I still love that they decide to have Mordred, the one who rebels against King Arthur and destroys Britannia, as a fundamentally decent and human person.
YOROKOBE SHONEN MORDRED
Kairi: “Let’s walk around town with your armor on.” Mordred: “I just got the best dad ever”
Oh my God that dress is so cute Jack I wish they just let you wear that dress into battle instead of that shitty stripper costume
Oh hi Semiramis but where is your Hanging Garden of Babylon I wanna see it too!
Semiramis: “What do u think Master?” Shirou: “Totally splendid.” Semiramis: “Great, we can use this for our honeymoon.” Shirou: “What?”
If I was the guard, I’d be like “Cool cosplay dudes! Can I take a photo with u guys?”
Exhibit 102 of Kairi and Mordred being best master-servant pair
Also Exhibit 102 of Kairi being a way better dad than Artoria ever was to Mordred
Wow seeing Jack being nuts and creepy kid is very different than just imagining it huh that giggle holy shit
Would you believe me if a) Chiron was just trying to kill Jack and succeeded in doing that or b) He and Fiore was just not there, a lot of tragedies could be avoided.
Fiore jumping down the building with style and grace
I lost track on keeping with Kairi-Mordred best team exhibits
Fiore and Chiron is Rin-Archer equivalent but healthier and more honest to each other.
I mean they are both competent, have a knack on jumping from high buildings, the master is sorta elegant lady, the archer has secret superb technique that doesn’t have anything to do with archery, the archer serves tea, and so on and so forth
I did a presentation about pankration back when I was in middle school this is so cool
The novel spends pages describing how powerful Mordred is and how she can beat anyone with ease but also have her always very barely comes out a winner or even alive from her fights and she gets super pissed and it’s hilarious
If a girl comes out from dark alley with that scary octopus machine hands I’d make the same face as Kairi too
Fiore switches talking sweetly to talking with stern voice in 1 second
Wow that’s a convenient machinery I want one.
Kairi where is your manner you can’t just ram a girl with a car full speed
I wonder how does Kairi deal with shooting human fingers and throwing heart grenades in his entire life like dude I wanna puke.
Kairi: Adios, babe.
GODDAMNIT WHY YOU CUT IT RIGHT THERE YOU SLY WEASEL!!!
So I take it A-1 isn’t shy of showing blood? Like, actually not shy? Not just some whim?
I love watching Mordred and Jack here in their supposed real characterization I got tired of the dirty naughty fanarts.
NEXT: Caules babe come please

I'm little suprised that Arthur wasn't wary of Mordred. I mean not only did it take GI to fix the relationship of Artoria and her, but it's implied that Mordred was worse in Fragments (granted they are not the same person, still though...) Not trying to say anything, but it feels almost too easy for Arthur to just accept Mordred like that.
I initially thought this was strange as well when I looked over Arthur’s lines, but sure enough, it was rather neutral when regarding her. First part of the mention is saying she’s cute instead of “That’s my treacherous son!?” or something around those lines. The last part was left a little open ended, but that was about it. That was strange, but with the door left rather ambiguously open, I just slid with it. Arthur’s personality in both of his wars was also calmer compared to Arturia.
It’s rather jarring to attempt to hate someone when they don’t even look like the person who rebelled against you in the first place. It also helps she’s from a different timeline to begin with. Add in the stereotypical desire for a knight to protect a “maiden” and you have the initial ingredients. All it really needed after that was a scene setup that disarmed him completely; Having Mordred in Arturia’s room, not glaring at either of them (but rather looking a tad depressed) was the ticket. Cordial discussion between the actual daughter and father was the cake topper.
