Super boring vent:
Toxic players in Apex really mess with me.
Like yes, I'm sorry I have only been playing this game for a month or so, I never played Titanfall so my aim is bad, I don't fully understand all of the mechanics, and I exclusively play casual because I don't want to affect other people's ranking.
My friend wanted to do Arenas so we had one other random teammate, and one of them (a Wraith) was just so needlessly cruel to me despite my empty banner, no cosmetics, and obvious newbie status.
I know I need thicker skin, but it's very hard for me. I'm excessively sensitive. I just want to know: Why do people get so worked up in casual? Why stop having fun just to be mad at someone who is clearly new? How can people talk to other people like that in any situation? I couldn’t be that mean to a stranger if I had 6 months to prepare and 7 professional hockey players with anger management issues to help.
Thank you to the Octane player we got in a later match that was so nice and kind, probably sensing that I just dealt with mega toxicity in a previous match. I wish I could say it fixed everything, but in truth the Wraith really messed me up the whole night, even when my friend and I went back to Duos. I haven’t played so badly or with so little confidence since I started playing Apex, all because I can’t take salt.
