{ Edit: HAH I WAS FUCKIN RIGHT} I know I'm reaching, and it's probably some type of Chinese, Mandarin, or Japanese expression.
But, in that one episode of Carmen Sandiego, y'know the one with Shadow-san's brother? When one of the fight scenes with Shadow-San began, and he just fuckin slid across the floor Spy Kids style,
Big bro exclaimed something like "Suhara!"
So now one of my headcanons for Shadow-san is that his real name is Suhara and that means one of his nicknames is probably Susu.
Like imagine:
Zach: So you're Shadow-san's brother? Wicked!
Ivy: That means you know his real name!
S-S's Brother: Of course, why wouldn't I?
Both of the knuckleheads: *Chanting*Tell us, Tell us, Tell us!
Shadow-san, in the background: *Mouthing* Don't, please don't.
S-S's Brother, looking him straight in the eyes: It's Suhara.
this whole Drake situation is the equivalent to when the popular kid got exposed for sum and everybody starts to turn on him like ‘I always knew he was weird’ after enabling their shitty behavior for years lmao. Grown ass niggas acting like high school.
Sanji and Usopp during The Sabaody Incident™ won't leave my mind.
Usopp standing in front of Sanji protectively because he is wounded and he can't fight, so Usopp will do it for him ("I'll do what you can't do").
There is just something about Sanji's expression when he realizes he might actually lose Usopp. This is my interpretation, at least. He is literally frightened.
Usopp helping Sanji stand up to run away. This is crucial for something I want to point out later: Sanji needs help to stand up. (Also, Brook disappears trying to protect them both and saying he will do anything to save them even if it costs him his life. I am feeling sick).
Sanji being self-sacrificing and blaming himself for not being able to protect them/act sooner is not new. But he does manage to gain the strength to fight when Usopp is the only one left with him and the possibility of losing him is even more real now.
The thing that I love the most about this is not Sanji sacrificing himself for Usopp, because he does that. He is like that. But Usopp not running away or moving in the slightest because he refuses to leave Sanji on his own.
Something I'd like to point out too is that Sanji actually touches Kuma before Usopp disappears. He tries to fight and protect him and Kuma could've easily sent Sanji to Momoiro Island right away, and yet Sanji was just sent flying far from the scene and forced to see Usopp disappear in front of him.
And I am not saying that "not being able to protect both Brook and Usopp (especially Usopp) is needed for Sanji to realize he has to become stronger and find more reasons to go back with the crew" but not being able to protect both Brook and Usopp (especially Usopp) is needed for Sanji to realize he has to become stronger and find more reasons to go back with the crew.
Not to mention that we can't deny (right after Water 7/Enies Lobby) that Usopp is one of Sanji's strongest bonds within the crew. This specific scene focusing on them both is more than enough to prove it.
Sanji seeing Usopp disappear in front of his eyes without being able to do anything to save him.
Remember what I said about Sanji needing help to stand up seconds ago? Well. This is him the moment Usopp disappears. What adrenaline and the power of love do to a mf.
They are so "I can lose everything, but not you. Oh God, not you" shaped.
Tazercraft and Richarlyson: [ Talking about the butterfly effect that led to Cellbit and Roier getting married ]
Richarlyson: The real cupid is pa Mike.
Pac: If Mike was unintentionally the reason why Richas died*, and that caused Roier and Cellbit to— Wait, you're saying I'm single because you died?! Oh what the hell. No, it's fine, that's fine, that's fine, it's fine, I stayed on the ground so that others could fly, it's fine.
sometimes i think about how the people who hate on my takes on here would talk to each other and its always phrased like the twitter fandom drama i see but completely irrational and it makes me giggle
"calling kusuke abusive just because he shot his brother with a lethal weapon, plotted his murder, planned to use their grandparents to assist in hurting/killing him, and tried for years to expose his secret to the entire world against his will and through knowingly hurtful means in order to destroy everything he cared about is so stupid! what a stretch!"
"the saiki k fandom is so damn sensitive. i shoot my brother with massive guns all the time and its not abusive because he just blocks it!" HELPEKSJJSJSKSKKS
i wanna post my skip to loafer art but i cant do it knowing ppl are gonna put it on tiktok and pinterest bc itd be like. bringing an invasive species ykwim
On today's episode of "T3chborb shows up in DMs of fanfic writers with inappropriate ideas":
... Nah fr, this started as a solo art project, but then I thought the concept was too good to be left in only image form, so I poked @ya-zz about it, and... here we are LOL. Another artist/writer team up :P
... And goddamn did @ya-zz go all out with the fic. Over 5k words of Ramram goodness. Go read it and give her some love :P Here be the link ;)
As for my part, full pic is HERE, though I suggest you visit the fic first, so you don't get spoiled on the surprise~
The thing about paparazzi photos is that very few famous people are being stalked or having their privacy invaded with these kinds of photos. Alex and Louise are not famous enough for paparazzi to accidentally catch them, especially not at a hotel in Italy of all places. They’re not THAT recognisable. The agency that released the photos is called Backgrid and is literally an agency for celebrity news, so I’m like 80% sure one of them called up and paid for these photos to be taken. That’s why they look staged and that’s why there are moments when they both seem aware of the camera.
This is not the first time Alex has been papped, obviously the volume of photos has never been this large, but he’s been in the industry for close to 2 decades. Multiple sets of photos were taken of him and Louise at the start of their relationship in very random places so clearly contacts have been formed and this is not their first rodeo.
Alex has dated people like Alexa Chung who is an expert at utilising paparazzi to her advantage (this is not a dig at her, it’s just part of the job). Throughout their entire relationship they were photographed a lot, because that’s part of how you grow your status as someone in the public eye. Alex is not naive, he knows how this works. Obviously he doesn’t need be photographed to help his career his music speaks for itself, but his girlfriend’s do and he’s been happy to oblige.
Famous people and paparazzi’s often have a more symbiotic relationship than people realise, of course there are always going to be people who are vulnerable/taken advantage of by unethical paparazzi. But again a lot of the time these photos are accompanied by an article, like todays, which acts as promotion for whoever is featured.
If Alex doesn’t want to be seen, he can very easily disappear from public view, it has happened multiple times over the years and he is an expert at not drawing attention to himself. Obviously fan photos are different, but he has a lot of control over when people see him. The fact that he’s not very recognisable in London or LA really drives this point home. What I’m trying to say is that he most likely consented to the photos and at the very least knew that they were being taken.
Wen Ning being chained up in the Jin treasure room/murder basement when Wei Wuxian is resurrected is actually the part of the story that makes the least sense to me.
