IM HEARING SO MUCH ABT THE NEW DRAMA TRACK ON HYPMICTWT BUT WHAT THE HELL EVEN HAPPENED IN IT....

a lot lol!!!! some spoilers below:

the most plot relevant stuff i can think of off the top of my head (i’m letting it stew before my next listen lol)

since the mics are offline and it’s causing issues gentaro takes initiative and goes to ichiro with his infamous documents and reveals he knew rei’s name was yamada rei this whole time

genbro was taken out by the special forces in some manner

even if we don’t know whether or not gentaro and his bro are twins as per the popular hc, gentaro refers to him as his older brother

the true hypnosis mic is the center of the drama so ichiro requests they take this info to jakurai as well

we get a nifty party of ichiro gentaro and jakurai investigating leads to find a way to turn the mics back on that eventually leads them to rei’s lab i think??? a facility of some sort that they need clearance for and jakurai calls hitoya to get said access

these four, as the block party is underway, find a computer guarantee to have info they’re looking for but it’s too secure for gentaro to hack into

ichiro says the password is 0123 and yep it sure was lol

we learn yamada mama’s name is nayuta

gentaro jakurai and hitoya are called away because the block party has been crashed and ichiro is left behind with whatever information is left on this computer

running practically simultaneously, rio learned that the chuuoku women have been arrested from kubiki and, rather regretfully, tells samatoki and juto he can’t participate running the block party

upon relaying why, samatoki is worried for nemu so he tags along with rio to infiltrate the prison where rio’s commander should be

in a wild coincidence, dice happened to have been hanging out with mtc during block party preparations to eat rio’s food and had passed out in a food coma lol. after rio and samatoki left for the special prison, dice, very sombrely, left to follow them

samatoki and rio successfully infiltrated the prison, with dice shadowing their every move, and find otome and ichijiku locked up

we see rio get very angry when they act cagey about iojaku’s whereabouts

samatoki and rio split up so samatoki can check if the cells house nemu and rio can find his commander

it’s after they’ve left that dice comes in and frees otome and ichijiku

nemu had been planning to break otome and ichijiku out this whole time and her mission just so happened to run at the same time as rio’s lol so samatoki and nemu run into each other

ofc samatoki’s happy to see her but samatoki questions is this really the path nemu wanted to make??? but samatoki softens up and is always ready to help if she needs it

rio finds iojaku in his cell and out of his mind. he’s banging his head against the cell when rio finds him and unresponsive to rio but he is secured

iojaku does seem to regain some consciousness as they leave the prison tho

and the block party, all’s fcked lol honobono showed up with her squad and brought the tobari bros and the men they amassed along for the extra fck this shit up goal she had lol

of those left at the party (2️⃣3️⃣🐰🍭🥂👔🎋🍮📿🌙) saburo, ramuda, dohifu, rosasa and jyushi were urged to get to safety. rosho tho, pissed that the party’s been ruined, charges into battle and sasara follows after him with a mic stand as his weapon

but it was a lot of people for five guys to contain so the damage done was great

the tobari bros wind up finding some of guys who escaped, one of which was ramuda, and the burly tobari actually starts choking ramuda for standing up to him

he’s saved by jakurai and co arriving at the scene and jakurai makes quick work of the thugs surrounding them

the frieza tobari got away from jakurai but kuukou was on his tail and he’s also shortly beat down

brave soul hifumi goes to confront honobono and upon hearing hifumi still sees her as a friend, she’s a little disturbed to hear it actually

she’s seen enough tho so she retreats and it must turn the tide as well since the bad guys are out commission as well

the party is ruined tho, as jiro and saburo lament, but kuukou gathers the crowd and makes the pro performers, sasara and jyushi, kick off the show

rosho too, gets up on stage with sasara and they perform a comedy skit together ;w;

it does become a stalling game as they split performances based on who’s here in order for ichiro to make it back to the party

said man has found rei at their old home where the five of them used to live

the confrontation leads to what sounded like an absolutely brutal fist fight as ichiro wants rei to turn the mics back on and rei refuses to do so

at some point rei i believe reveals the 2nd drb was a test to find someone who can use the true hypnosis mic

i didn’t catch all that was said but throughout the conversation rei expressed a very defeatist mentality, but ichiro beats (literally) his words into rei that changes his mind to reactivate the hypnosis mics

it is a reckoning bell for the 3rd drb tho

with the mics back on ichiro leaves rei behind to catch his slot in the performance and rei nurses his wounds watching the block party alone in this ruined house by their fight

ichiro goes on stage tho with the hypnosis mics online again and signalling a hope

and lastly, back with otome, ichijiku and nemu, as the three get their bearings and muse what’s the next phase, otome, moved by dice’s words to her as he freed her, tells them that she’s retiring from politics

Saburo Yamada

"The youngest of the Yamada brothers, and the youngest participant in the D.R.B. to date. Not to criticize Ichiro, but I wonder what was going through his mind when he let his youngest brother join. I mean, far be it for me to judge. After all, despite his age, the boy raps very well. Plus, he's far smarter than most children his own age (and adults, sadly enough). Still, I hope he takes care not to get hurt in this competition."

Rio Mason Busujima

"Zakari actually brought some of this man's food home once from his trip in Yokohama. I'm not entirely sure how they met, but apparently, the army man gave my son some food to bring back with him. It was... interesting, to say the least. Not exactly the tastiest food I've ever eaten, but... far from the worst. Still, perhaps he should do better with making the food look more... presentable."

Dice Arisugawa

"Ugh, not to quote my husband, but I don't approve of my son's friendship with this young man, either. He comes around my nightclub every time he is in town, and immediately heads straight to the casino, losing almost every game he plays. If not for my son enabling him, which, by the way, I do not condone, I'd hate to see where this young man would end up. If you're going to gamble son, you should, at least, make sure you have enough cash left in your pocket for you to have something to eat afterward."

Doppo Kannonzaka

"I don't want to judge someone, especially if they are as hard-working as Doppo. But I can't help but feel that he might be a glutton for punishment. What other reason is there for him to be working in a place that treats him as little more than a slave? He reminds me so much of myself when I was younger. Oh, I had a fake smile on my face, but inwardly, I hated every second of my life. And my mom's lifestyle didn't make it any easier. Eventually, I just got fed up with it and just let all my anger and frustration out. Doppo should take a page out of my book and do the same to his co-workers and boss."

Rei Amayado

"I mirror my husband's opinion on this man. Something about him doesn't sit right with me. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that he's constantly planning something or the dangerous glint in his eyes. But really, I think it may have something to do with the fact that he left three young boys on their own while he went and joined the government to do, who-knows-what. ...I'll say this now: if he tries anything in my club, important government official or not, I'm throwing him, not just out of my club, but out of my city."

Hitoya Amaguni

"A famous lawyer. From what I hear, he'll do bullying cases pro bono. I don't think there should come a time when we'll ever need his services, but it's good to know we have a lawyer just in case. ...But then again, I've heard about a female lawyer who lives in Ueno who also has a fierce reputation. ...Well, it's good to know we have options, I guess."

Saburo Yamada

"The youngest of the Yamada siblings. He's quite knowledgeable for someone his age. I wonder how he would have turned out if he had grown up in a regular household... Besides that, he is truly a gifted young boy. Despite his arrogance towards anyone not his oldest brother, Ichiro, I think that shows the love and affection he feels for his oldest sibling. It's very caring and sweet."

Rio Mason Busujima

"I've not met this man before, but he seems to be very stoic and quiet. I wonder why he chooses to live as he does... but its not my place to judge. If he is happy and content, who am I to rip that away from him?"

Dice Arisugawa

"I truly worry about this young man... his obsession with gambling. I fear it may wind up destroying him if he does not manage to get a hold of it. I bequeathed him some money once when I saw him begging for some whilst on the street here in Toshima. I do not want to know what exactly he did with it..."

Ichiro Yamada (child identity: Hiroki Ohtomo)

Nineteen-year old Ichiro was a well-known amateur detective throughout Ikebukuro and later Yokohama for being able to solve any crime that the police failed to. He is also a former member of The Dirty Dawg, a rap group.

One day, after solving a murder at an amusement park, Ichiro comes upon a mysterious man in black extorting money from another man. Assuming that he knows too much, the two men forced him into a rap battle. One of them used an illegal Hypnosis Microphone laced with poison that was supposed to not only kill him, but leave no trace behind.

Unfortunately for them, Ichiro has been shrunk into a ten-year old. One quick visit to his rival and neighbor Samatoki's house later, Ichiro realizes that he must keep his real identity secret, otherwise the two men in black will come back and kill him for good.

Nemu Aohitsugi (child identity: Chika Aoyama)

Nemu Aohitsugi is a genius chemist who created the CASTOR-IX poison that turned Ichiro into a ten-year old boy.

After she is imprisoned by the yakuza for being related to the yakuza traitor, Samatoki Aohitsugi, Nemu attempted to end her own life with a dose of CASTOR-IX but was instead de-aged as well. Using her newly-shrunken body to escape and go into hiding as "Chika Aoyama", Nemu is luckily taken in by her older brother. She uses her condition to live out the innocent childhood she never had.

She befriends Ichiro, Jiro, and Saburo as a way to make amends for her past crimes, and works on an CASTOR-IX antidote for Ichiro.

Samatoki Aohitsugi

An ex-yakuza (wakagashira) of the Katen Family and former member of The Dirty Dawg along with Ichiro. Samatoki is Ichiro's hot-tempered friend/rival who makes a living developing odd inventions (albeit failed miserably at times); some of which are put to use by Ichiro throughout his (mis)adventures.

Despite their bitter rivalry, Ichiro appears to have the utmost trust in him. Ichiro had no problem of revealing his identity to him only moments after being shrunk by an illegal Hypnosis Microphone laced with poison called "CASTOR-IX".

He is Nemu Aohitsugi's older brother and took her in when she showed up at Ichiro's doorstep unconscious and drenched in the rain. He often provides insight for Ichiro to help combat the yakuza.

Hifumi Izanami

A no. 1 host who works at a club in Shinjuku. He has a severe fear of women, yet a very upbeat and friendly fellow.

He was believed to be the yakuza's Jyuto Iruma, but is actually a Public Security Bureau (PSB) agent named Hifumi Izanami looking into his whereabouts. He is unaware that the real Jyuto Iruma has been using his appearance as a disguise to hunt for Nemu Aohitsugi.

As a PSB agent, he's often partnered with fellow agent (and best friend) who poses as a pessimistic salaryman, Doppo Kannonzaka.

Doppo Kannonzaka

A sales representative at the E.L Medical Co, Ltd, a manufacturer of medical equipment in Shinjuku which has its branch in Yokohama.

He’s a pessimist who thinks about everything in a negative light, and... oh, he apologizes constantly. He's often seen with black eyes due to perpetual gloom and exhaust.

Beneath his unassuming personality, he's secretly a competent Public Security Bureau (PSB) agent with his partner (and best friend), Hifumi Izanami, who poses as a club host.

Notes:

- I tried my best not to make them stray off from their respective occupations (for Doppo and Hifumi), basically these two are undercover agents and uses club host and salaryman as a cover :)

- I made Samatoki as an ex-yakuza and Nemu as a chemist associated with them. However, both betrayed the underworld because they couldn’t see each other a long time and grew tired of the shady things they do everyday. I JUST WANT TO SEE THEM SPEND THEIR FAMILY TIME TOGETHER (poor Nemu got brainwashed by the Chuoku) :”(((

- Samatoki as a mad inventor whose inventions malfunction constantly is my everything, hehehehe

- HELLO, DOPPO AS A SECRET AGENT IS BADASS AF, SO DO HIFUMI

- Oh yes, Jyuto become a yakuza member who poses as an active-duty police sergeant in the Organized Crime Unit of the Kanagawa Police. Put it simply, he infiltrated the police force which is part of his mission to hunt Nemu :)

- I tried to make a hybrid use of Hypnosis Microphone and real weapons here. In a relatively normal situation, they use Hypnosis Microphone to fight, but when everything gets tough, they use weapons. In Ichiro’s case, as he was shrunken into a child, he can’t rap in order not to expose his identity. However, he can rap when he returned to his original body temporarily.

synopsis : you invite a co-worker over to your boyfriend's place, and ichiro's not so fond on this acquaintance of yours

word count : 1,037

Ichiro was a very patient and hard to tick off individual - well, that’s what he liked to think of himself.

He repeats that mentality to himself like a mantra inside his head as he watches this new client in front of him act all handsy with you. You had told Ichiro you were going to be bringing someone from work as a client for him, that you had recommended Ichiro up for the job.

At first he was a bit flustered - happy that you thought of him during your work and even referred him to your co-workers. Now as he witnesses this guy playfully wrap his arm around your shoulder while you laugh at something he said, Ichiro isn’t so happy anymore and wonders if you forgot to tell your friend the detail about how you were dating him.

“Yamada Ichiro, right? Wah, I’ve always been a huge fan of Buster Bros! When [Y/N] here first told me she was dating you I thought she was just living in some sort of fantasy! Don’t know how she managed to bag an awesome guy like you!”

Never mind, the bastard guy knew apparently and still had the gall to insult you.

Ichiro tries to maintain his composure as to not make either of you look bad in front of this client, forcing a strained laugh and nodding along to show his gratitude. “Thank you for the support, sir. I’ve known [Y/N] way back before Buster Bros was even formed and was the one to ask her out.” Ichiro says, lips pressed tightly into what he hopes is a friendly smile.

You notice Ichiro’s expression and smile apologetically, mouthing something along the words of “Please forgive him”. Ichiro finds it hard to do that when your co-worker manages to get on his nerves even more, gasping loudly.

“Really? Ah, I can see that. [Y/N] is such a cutie, of course!” Ichiro is close to bursting a vein when he pinches your cheek, which you even had the grace to look flustered from. What the hell was this guy’s deal? “Hey, hey - how’d you guys meet anyway I wanna know all the deets since [Y/N] doesn’t tell me anything.”

Ichiro laughs, standing up straight in the revolving seat behind his table which separated both of your sides. If he could just grab you over to his side right now he would, but Ichiro had more self-control. He hopes.

“That’ll be for another time, sir. You did come here for a work request and not gossip, right?” Ichiro asks slowly.

“Ehh?? [Y/N]-chan, we can chat about it a little, right?” The bastard now wrapped his arms around you, shaking you in your place. “U-um..pl-”

Before you could even get a word out, Ichiro is up from his seat and by your side immediately, pulling you away from the guy and wrapping a protective arm around your waist. “Please behave yourself and stop touching my girlfriend, will ya?” Ichiro darkly says in a low, threatening voice, and your co-worker seems to back away hesitantly.

“Alright alright whatever, sheesh man I’m just trying to lighten up the mood.”

Ichiro swears he could just beat this man up right here right now when his brothers (thankfully) intervene, the two just having stood there by the door while everything went on.

“Oi, you bastard , quit disrespecting our brother or we’ll drag you out! Don’t care how much of a fan you are.” Jiro glares, making a show of cracking his knuckles. Saburo is quick to add a piercing comment as well, “Not only your brain’s so small that you couldn’t comprehend you kept disrespecting Ichi-nii but also making [Y/N] uncomfortable. Someone as dense as you shouldn’t even be here - ah, with the exception of Jiro of course.”

“You-!! Ngh..Niichan should we get this guy out of here?” Jiro asks, although he was already in the process of not so gently grabbing your co-worker and pulling him away.

Ichiro nods. “Please do, you can discuss whatever request he may have outside too if he’s still up for it.” He sighs, pulling you even closer against him. “That way he won’t be a bother anymore.”

Your co-worker is sputtering out excuses and apologies as he’s forcibly dragged out by Jiro, Saburo quickly excusing himself before shutting the door behind him and leaving you and Ichiro alone.

You hear your boyfriend let out another sigh, and you turn to look up at Ichiro who’s rubbing his temples. “I’m really sorry about him, Ichiro..he can be..a lot.” You laugh nervously, hoping he forgets about it.

“Damn right, he was.” Ichiro says exasperatedly. “Is he always like that around you? He’s a bit too touchy for my taste.” He grabs your hand gently before going back to his seat, pulling you to sit on top of his lap and straddle your legs around him.

“Yeah..ahah..he really does mean no harm, though! He’s just-!”

Ichiro pulls you close and presses his lips against yours, interrupting you with a gentle kiss. He didn’t want to talk or hear you make up defenses for your co-worker’s behavior now, clearly upset that he had the nerve to be acting like that and you still wanted to defend him?

The thought of that alone made Ichiro a bit more aggressive, his hands reaching to grab the sides of your face and leaning to kiss you deeper, practically shoving his tongue down your throat as you moan helplessly.

When he finally has the mercy to pull away, your lips are wet and swollen, looking up at him with a hazy gaze. “Ichiro..” You whisper softly, knowing that the air inside the room around both of you has changed.

He props you up to sit on top of his desk, Ichiro moving to stand between your legs and kissing up your neck, fingers ghosting on the skin underneath your shirt. “Don’t hang around with that guy anymore, okay?” He whispers against your ear before giving it a quick nibble, lowering his lips to suck on the skin of your neck.

“Well, he probably should keep his distance when he’s aware who you belong to.”

Ikebukuro Otome 109: Ch. 3 First Meeting [pt. 1]

This chapter is a.... long one. But! I’m super pleased with how it turned out! The chapter wound up having to be split into two posts because of its size.... so here’s part one! Part 2 can be found here!

You jumped to your feet as you heard a knock at the door. After tripping over boxes as you rushed towards the front of your apartment, you brushed off the dust from your sweatpants and glanced briefly at yourself in the mirror. It’s not like you were nervous or anything, Ichiro was just coming to help you out. An extremely kind gesture he didn’t have to do, for you were sure he was busy, so him taking time out of his schedule for you was a big deal! You took a deep breath and smiled to yourself as you reached for the doorknob, your stomach knotting nervously as you opened the door.

Ichiro’s shoulders jumped when he heard the door handle move, but as the door creaked open, a smile instantly appeared on his face.

“Yo! You must be y/n, unless I got the wrong place?”

“Nope! That’s me, don’t worry. I wouldn’t give you a prank apartment number for our first meeting, have to have a good first impression, ya know?” You chuckled as you fully opened the door so he could step inside.

As he took off his shoes in the doorway, you tried your best not to stare. You’d thought the whole heterochromia thing was a stage gimmick, but those were definitely his real eyes, no contacts either. He was taller than you expected, and you knew this guy was active and offered to help you out with his muscle power, but damn you weren’t expecting that much. Even with a pair of baggy jeans and a loose fitting shirt covered by a jacket, you could tell Ichiro was built. His shoulders were broad and sturdy, and you could see the definition at the dip of his collarbones…

Wait. What? Why were you thinking all of this? Snap out of it! God, the poor guy came over to help you move in and you’re standing here ogling at him!

You cursed yourself in your mind and tore your eyes away just before Ichiro looked up.

“Alright! Where’re we starting?” He shrugged off his jacket, hanging it on the coat stand by the door. “Oh! How rude of me!” Ichiro hit his forehead with the palm of his hand. He bowed briefly before you with a grin, “Ichiro Yamada, leader of Ikebukuro’s Buster Bros and co- founder of odd-jobs Yamada, pleased to meet you.”

You snickered at his formality. “F/n L/n, uh… rookie designer for Zega’s character design team and new in town, the pleasure’s mine!” You bowed with a smile.

“Ok! Now we can start!” Ichiro nodded, looking out onto the sea of boxes. “Do you still have some that need to be brought up?”

“Uhm, yeah I think so, just two or three is all that’s left,” you said while counting the boxes on the floor on your fingers, “I went ahead and moved a good bit of them up this morning before you got here… I just left the big ones for last. I figured if we carried them up together it would make the job easier for the both of us?”

“Sounds like a plan! Lead the way, y/n!” He stepped back so you could walk ahead of him.

“Thank you for the help by the way, Ichiro-san, I really appreciate it. Ramuda was worried I wouldn’t make any friends or talk to anyone and I guess I was worried about it too, so it’s nice to have someone I can talk to.”

“Just Ichiro is fine, I’m guessing we’re around the same age so there’s no need for honorifics!” Ichiro smiled down at you while hearing your kind words. “And it’s no problem at all! My brothers and I started our business because we love helping people. Plus, I don’t really have many friends myself, so I guess I’m excited to have someone not involved with business or divisions to talk to.”

“Hm? You don’t?” That was surprising to you. He seemed like the kind of guy who would have a big group of friends cheering him on… weird. At least you had that in common. “Maybe that’s why Ramuda wanted to introduce us, he always nagged me to go out and make friends, I just never had the time…”

Ichiro chuckled. “Yeah, maybe…. He’s always scheming something one way or another, but he always helps me out when I need it.”

“Hmm, it’s an interesting friendship I assume, being rival divisions and all,” you nodded as you dug for your car keys in your pocket, “But it’s nice to see that even as competitors you still help each other out!”

“It is! It’s comforting to have old friends you can rely on every now and again,” Ichiro lifted two of your boxes off the ground, “Took a while to regain trust but, it's a work in progress.”

You hummed and nodded as you hoisted the final box into your arms and started to make your way back to the apartment complex. “A work in progress is better than no progress at all, no?”

Planning a date with Ichiro is difficult - between the battles with the team, running the newly founded Yamada odd jobs to support his brothers - he’s left with little time that is suitable for a date; it’s either late nights or early mornings and he doubted that you would be into that

He catches a last-minute break and calls you up to meet at his apartment, which you happily accept. You weren’t exactly dating yet - you were friends beforehand and things escalated to you asking if maybe you could go out sometime. Without his brothers. Or Kuko.

He greets you with a blush, trying to hide the basket in his hand behind his back, already apologizing that it was last minute and he didn't have anything really planned, so he decided that a picnic was good enough

He takes you to the park and finds a spot under the shade for you to eat your lunch - out of the view of the people to make it more of an occasion between just the both of you. It isn’t anything elaborate but you have a great time with him, talking and laughing at his dumb jokes before he suggested you pack up and head to the arcade.

At the arcade, you have so much fun playing co-op shooters and you excitedly watched as he played the crane games - trying to win you prizes as a gift to remember your first date.

Whether it be a few headcanons, a fic or a description of one of your AUs, I really love them! They're well written and always interesting to read, so thank you for posting your stuff! @yokairu Youre the absolute sweetest!! It means the world to read that, I owe you so much, thank you! I wrote a whole thing about Doppo having friends once at three in the morning and its been sitting in my drafts for a few weeks so I thought the ideas I had there would be interesting here! I also put a lil hc what I think being friends with them would be like too!

Doppo doesn’t really have any friends outside of Jakurai and Hifumi which is a huge shame because I think he could get along with everyone! He really deserves more people to care about him!

💼 Dice inviting Doppo to try a more adventurist life for a night, have the two go gambling and drinking together. I just want Doppo to be able to loosen up and have some fun and I also want Dice to understand just how much of Doppos apology loops come from such an abusive work life. They’re complete opposites and they could learn something from each other!!!

💼 Doppo being a big brother figure for Ichiro, Doppo is literally the walking definition of exhaustion and having to take care of two baby brothers must’ve been tough on Ichiro. So Doppo can understand having to hide more negative emotions from his years hiding them from co-workers, managers, customers, and maybe even his own younger brother. Doppo might not be able to help carry the burden Ichiro has but let him give him like a nice lil head pat, tell him hes doing a great job!!!

💼 Also speaking of buster bros, Jiro and Saburo??? Like imagine Doppo teaching Saburo how to use Microsoft Excel!! Jiro catching Doppo on his lunch break and begging him to buy him lunch too, then Doppo complaining about how much his job sucks and Jiro giving him some of the worst career advice ever.

💼 Rio teaching him how to make all kinds of drinks and foods he can eat to relieve his stress and tension. Just Doppo out in the woods to clear his mind from the bustle of the city, taking in fresh air and just relaxing. Having someone like Rio who isn’t too talkative but is always willing to let him vent then after hes let it all out he can just lie back and look at the stars!!

💼 Even though Ramuda and Matenrou are on very tense terms but having him make clothes for Doppo. It could just be something small like a nicely designed tie but it’d be enough because itd liven him up knowing that this is something no one else in the world has!! And just having him model for Ramuda at all, it would be such a good boost to his self esteem and hed get to wear all kinds of pretty outfits!!

💼 DOPPO BOOK CLUB!!! DOPPO BOOK CLUB!!! On Doppos days off he host a book club with Gentaro and Rosho! They all talk about books they’ve read, Doppo usually only talks about chapters rather than full books because he rarely has time to read. Gentaro constantly lying about the ending of a book to goof on Rosho and Doppo but always feeling a little bad when Doppo takes it seriously and gets all bummed that it was taking him too long to finish.

💼 Sasara the funny clown man trying his damnedest to make Doppo laugh at one of his jokes!! The salaryman is sad too much he deserves a good laugh too and sometimes Sasaras funny so its perfect!!

👔 Being friends with Doppo changes the longer you know him, at first he’ll be very nervous and overly considerate, but after a long while he’ll eventually relax. He worries a lot about being a burden or about you thinking being friends with him is an obligation so you’ll have to be the one to initiate conversation with him at the beginning. Once he feels confidant that you really care about him then comes the second hurdle of him feeling terrible about never having any time. Time is an issue for Doppo but he tries his hardest to always answer whatever texts you send him and he always extends an invitation to you whenever he can! Slowly, he’ll also be more open about his emotions, not like he isn’t already but he’ll be less worried about expressing them. He’ll be less indecisive on vocalizing his annoyance if you do something that bothers him or if you’re doing something stupid alongside Hifumi. He’ll still be apologetic but less so when it comes to him keeping his ground because you guys are close enough for him not to worry about bending over backwards. Its all a long process but if you do make it to the end you have a very loving friend who is just glad to have you around!

Ichiro needs more people to hang out with, people he can de-stress with when he’s away from his brothers. MC BIG BRO DESERVES A BREAK!

🎧 I know I ship with IchiDice but the two would make great boyfriends and regular friends! Ichiro tends to avoid things that he’s too young so he can’t go gambling instead he gets Dice addicted to a gatcha games. Dice isnt huge on the anime stuff but he sure loves hitting those SSRs! The two are always talking about their pulls, bragging about the good and complaining about the bad almost 24/7. On the other side though when a day gets too stressful Dice is more than okay to listen to Ichiro vent a little, although it is rare and its not like Dice gives good advice but its nice to have an outlet. In return Ichiro always lets Dice crash at his place whenever he hits a massive losing streak.

🎧 Ramuda constantly complains about Ichiro and his brothers clothes so he has an excuse to make them new ones. He also loves texting Ichiro just to chat, always using stickers and litters his texts with emoticons. 。.:☆*:･'(*⌒―⌒*))) °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖° (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄) ヽ(￣ω￣(。。 )ゝ

🎧 Okay, now hear me out, Rio and Ichiro. It’s the strangest combination but Rio is just such a sweetheart, after the DRB he came over to the Yamada household to check up on them and bring them food. After a little while of gaining his trust Ichiro would slowly warm up to him, I mean he helped with chores and cooked for them. (Even tho the food is a little suspicious being made literally anything) It must be hard to take care of two kids when you’re still a kid too so Rio wants to try and help a little.

🎧 I think there isn’t enough of a focus on him being on good terms with Jakurai and the two being friends. Like Rio, Jakurai worries about Ichiro and how much of his childhood was taken away from him so whenever the two are together he tries to take up the responsibility of paying or driving so he can relax. He takes him and his brothers out fishing occasionally, how much they catch depends on how much Jiro and Saburo argue though.

🔴 Ichiro is an absolutely amazing friend to have! Although his brotherly instincts can make him a little overbearing sometimes, always inviting you over for dinner or reprimanding you if you do something a bit more reckless. He loves involving people in his interests so if you even hint about anime or hip hop he’s on you in a second to drop everything he knows about the subjects, he has whole list of series, artists, and light novels he can’t wait to share! Of course he loves to hear about whatever you’re interested in at the time too and tries to get into it too! Day offs or slow days are anime days so be prepared to get hit with a spam of messages from Ichiro to watch that anime he kept talking about!

Dice travels literally all over the place, he deserves to know pretty much everyone, honestly.

🎲 Jiro and him are some rowdy boys, they get into all kinds of trouble! Whenever Jiro goes tagging sometimes Dice will tag along if he’s too broke to be gambling. If Jiro has any extra cash on him he’ll take Dice to get something cheap to eat since he can’t have him starving himself. Honestly, Dice is like having another older brother except he’s more embarrassing than Ichiro could ever dream to be.

🎲 He usually ends up seeing Samatoki at some of the casinos around Yokohama and like the true idiot he immediately begs for money, not the smartest thing to do to a yakuza but this is Dice. After being yelled a firm no, he’ll usually bum a smoke off him and the two will chat for a little. Sometimes if Samatoki is feeling friendly he’ll tell Dice about any gambling rings happening and if hes being even friendlier he’ll warn him about the dangers too.

🎲 Jyuto and him have run into each other a couple times although it was mainly him having to be escorted off private property. Every time Jyuto gets a call about about someone trespassing he gets so exhausted the moment he shows up and its just Dice again. After being pretend arrested Dice always ends up begging Jyuto to drive him to Rios camp.

🎲 Hifumi has found Dice in the alleyways he takes to the train station, the two usually chat on the way back to his apartment because Dice can’t say no to Hifumi’s cooking. After eating everything Hifumi would make him he’d usually either beg for gambling money or just enough to get back home. Although, on winning days he’ll visit the club, request Hifumi and a champagne call as thanks for feeding him with an extra bonus of downing a whole bottle of champagne.

🎰 Congratulations you have gotten your very own stray cat! Dice is constantly coming and going so don’t be surprised to wake up and find him sleeping on your doorstep or couch if you gave him a key. He’ll be looking to you for food and the occasional pity 10,000 bills because he swears THE NEXT ONE IS THE WIN PLEASE. You never have to worry about telling him no though, his ability to go from groveling to standing on his feet to just chat is at a record speed. He usually spends his time gambling but if you can’t then he’s more than fine just talking a walk through the town pointing out places where he won or places he lost everything and had to hide while he waited for Gentaro. Past all the begging he’s a funky boy here for a good time and when he hits that 777 you are definitely one of the first people he goes to when its time to celebrate!

So, for this I decided to ignore their actual ages and just assume they’re all students with the exception of Jakurai, Hifumi, Doppo, Jyuto and Riou because they give out the professor vibe

Gryffindor pride all the way

Is not part of the golden trio (Harry, Ron and Hermionie), but is pretty close to Harry because of Quidditch

Is co-captain of the Quiddich team

Very much involves himself in fights against the Dark Lord

Very much involves himself in fights with Samatoki

Usually calls Harry out for his stupidity

Studies with Hermionie and doesn’t do half bad in his classes

Half-blood King, because Ichiro is king

However, only gets half-blood taunts from Malfoy, not from Samatoki

Hates bullies and stands up to Malfoy and calls him out sometimes

But he also tries to understand the boy

Hi! First of all, thank you for all the ichikuu crumbs you share! I've recently gotten back into hypmic thanks to kuukou and ichikuu really got me in a chokehold not long after that lol. Anyways, I really loved that high school parody event in ARB but i don't understand Japanese and there was a scene there where kuukou apparently co-parents saburo with ichiro? and i just wanted to know what it was about exactly if it's okay with you!

sure!!!!! so for the first match, red team vs white team had to throw these bean bags into a tall net, and whichever team landed the most bean bags won!!!! saburo was up for this event on the white team and dohifu were up on the white team. saburo, the yamada who hates physical activity, ofc struggled lol but unfortunately for the white team, hifumi accidentally knocked over the net and spilled all their bags lol

it was an easy win for saburo at that point so he coasted, but ichiro, jiro and kuukou had a few words to say about saburo essentially chilling after white team’s blunder. ichiro especially scolded saburo for not giving 💯% in their competition and while kuukou also let saburo know there’s no point in their victory if he doesn’t give it his all, he lowkey got ichiro to lighten up in the below interaction lol they were coparenting like actually

Cada divisão luta entre si em "batalhas territoriais", nas quais lançam álbuns com batalhas de rap, músicas de divisão e CDs ocasionais de drama (drama tracks).

Essencialmente, a única maneira de aprender informações sobre os personagens e suas histórias de fundo é através das faixas de drama que são lançadas em cada CD ou no mangá. Quando os CDs são lançados, eles vêm com músicas cantadas por cada personagem/divisão. "Territory Battles" (é assim que são chamadas canonicamente) é uma sessão de votação na qual você pode participar para torcer pela sua divisão favorita usando um código fornecido a você em cada CD. As divisões vencedoras se enfrentarão, e novamente o vencedor é decidido por votação. Há uma data de estreia para o anime do Hypnosis Mic em outubro de 2020.

Quando Hypmic foi criado?

De acordo com o Twitter, o Hypnosis Microphone "nasceu" em 2 de setembro de 2017.

Quem é responsável por este projeto?

O projeto é executado pela EVIL LINE RECORDS, uma sub etiqueta da King Record Co, Ltd, em conjunto com a Idea Factory e a Otomate. O designer de personagens original é Kazui da Otomate. O escritor de cenários para muitas das faixas de drama é Yuuichiro Momose.

Quais são as divisões?

Atualmente, existem seis divisões com três membros cada. Os líderes correspondentes das primeiras 4 divisões costumavam formar um grupo de rap agora dissolvido chamado The Dirty Dawg.

Yokohama: Samatoki Aohitsugi, Juto Iruma, Rio Mason Busujima

Shibuya: Ramuda Amemura, Gentaro Yumeno, Dice Arisugawa

Osaka: Sasara Nurude, Rosho Tsutsujimori, Rei Amayado

Nagoya: Kuko Harai, Jyushi Aimono, Hitoya Amaguni

Por que há tão pouca informação sobre cada personagem?

Como afirmado anteriormente, a única maneira de descobrir mais informações sobre certos personagens é através dos perfis de m��sicas, drama tracks, mangás e o site oficial. Os perfis do site oficial listam apenas os caracteres mínimos, de modo que a maioria das informações são extraídas de faixas de drama e coisas do gênero. As músicas geralmente não comentam muito sobre o personagem (exceções notáveis são as músicas solo de Samatoki Aohitsugi e Gentaro Yumeno), portanto, as faixas de drama são a melhor maneira de aprender sobre os personagens no momento.

O maior obstáculo é a barreira do idioma. Existem muitos sites/grupos de tradução de fãs por aí, mas é claro que nenhuma informação em inglês é publicada pela própria equipe do Hypnosis Mic. Por esse motivo, mesmo se você tiver acesso a uma faixa dramática, precisará conhecer o japonês ou aguardar que um dos grupos mencionados poste as traduções disponíveis no seu idioma.

So, thanks to the hypmic unofficial discord, I am now writing a fanfic entitled, “The Children”. Here is chapter 1-1, Big Bro NOT in the house, yo!

Jiro had been going into Ichiro’s room to ask if he could borrow something to read in the down time between lunch and another class to be greeted with a stunning sight.

There was a five year old that looked suspiciously like Ichi-nii in his bed, sleeping peacefully.

Jiro, who was unwilling to admit it, screeched like a little girl. Saburo came running in as the tiny Ichi-nii-lookalike sat up groggily. “What’s going on?” He inquired, before following with a screech of his own. It beat Jiro’s in pitch, by quite a bit. The two younger Yamada brothers looked at each other, than the child on the bed, almost in sync. The child looked at them. “Jiro, Sabro, wha’s goin’ on?” he asked with a small yawn. He wasn’t pronouncing much correctly, but he still could be understood. That child didn’t just look like Ichii-nii, it was Ichii-nii.

It clicked fairly quickly, and the now oldest sighed. Great. Ichiro was five years old. What did five year olds do?

WAIT. How were they going to pay their bills? Who was going to go to that guardian teacher conference? What would a five year old Ichiro even eat? What were they going to do about Ichiro being a child now? BILLS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Jiro was panicking, almost hyperventilating until he saw Saburo in a near catatonic state, simply staring at the child. He got his shit together surprisingly quick and picked up Ichiro taking him to the bath and asking Saburo to get the smallest clothing they had.

Fifteen minutes later, Baby Ichii was sitting at the table, happily munching on some toast and in some ill-fitting-but-better-than-before clothing. Jiro looked around. What were they going to do? Ichiro was usually good at figuring things out, but as a child, he didn’t seem particularly worried about their money or school situations, but he did seem more happy than stressed.

Saburo however, was badly trying to hide his meltdown. They couldn’t leave Baby Ichii in the apartment alone, but they had to go to school Jiro couldn’t afford to skip today, and Saburo needed some normalcy now that… this was their situation.

He looked at his phone and sighed, calling someone he knew would be awake right now. “He-hello?” a groggy voice answered.

“Kanonzaka-san, can I ask if you can ask Izanami-san to watch our brother for a day?”

“W-wait. I-i’m sorry, co-could you repe-repeat that?”

“Something happened to Ichi-nii and we need someone to watch him.”

“Um-”

“Thank you. Ichi-nii and I are headed to Shinjuku right now.”

He hung up and took his brother to Shinjuku, letting the tired, stressed man take the young, energetic boy to his shared apartment.

Jiro ended up being late, but that would be nothing compared to the call he received on his way home.

“Jiro-san, it wasn’t just Ichiro-san that happened to,” he heard Hifumi say at the end of the line. Now all the divisions had to meet in five hours, at a warehouse in Yokohama.

Perfect, the seventeen year old internally groaned, and going instantly to get Saburo and get on the train to go to the meeting. He was glad Hifumi was going to bring Ichiro as well.

"Lead the way, Daisu! We're off to see your relatives, nya~!" he laughed, a hand in the air as a sort of celebratory action. Ramuda absolutely would not pass up an opportunity to pick on Dice, as Dice usually did things in the same vein, as did Gentaro. "I'll make sure to pick out one extra cute and fluffy!" He said that, but in reality, he most likely wouldn't choose a kitten. Those had a much higher chance of being adopted. He'd chose an older cat that was at least over a year old. Yes, kittens were adorable! But older cats could be, too!

Lamda was confused. Ramuda was really going to adopt a cat? Just like that? He raised an eyebrow in confusion as he fiddled with the tassels on his hoodie. He'd tag along, he supposed. After all, he highly doubted Ramuda would just let him leave. Then again, he'd never seen a real life cat, so he supposed this would be informative for himself? He'd seen cats on television and pictures of them in Chuoku, so he knew what they looked like. And they looked so adorable! Wait. Would he actually get to pet one? Were they soft? He would finally be able to answer that!

That was when Ramuda hooked both Lamda and Dice's arms. "Let's go!" He started tugging the two out of the library and into the street. He wondered what he should do about the similarities in appearance between himself and Lamda, but the purple haired one had a cute rabbit eared hoodie up, so he reasoned that would be okay. "Lamdaaa, you gotta tell me where you got that hoodie!" he said, genuinely curious.

"This? Oh I... got the base materials at shops here in Shibuya and added in the tail, ribbon, and ears myself. I worked on it for an hour this morning. I also dyed the sleeves and ears a bit... and put on the little hearts and stuff on the ends of the sleeves..." he explained, a little embarrassed. Ramuda was the fashion designer, not him! Sure, he knew things, but... their skill far bested his.

"Ehhh~? You did all that? Wow! It's soooo cute! Looks like something I'd put in my fashion line!"

"It's not that good..."

"It is good!!"

"No, your designs look way better."

"I'm telling you I'd put this in my line if I'd made it!"

"And yours would look way better."

"Will you just take the compliment?!"

"No."

"Take it-"

"I won't-"

"You will-"

"I will not!"

This was obviously going to continue onward until someone intervened...

Yamada Ichiro, age nineteen, was going over reports for the last job as well as looking over his caseload. He still had so many jobs left to do and both of his brothers were too busy to help right now. Thanks to the Division Rap Battles, Odd Jobs Yamada was kept in high employ by notoriety alone, but the work sometimes overwhelmed him by sheer volume. Not that he'd ever admit this to Jiro and Saburo or voice it aloud, but it was a thought he'd often had.

The Buster Bros practically ran Ikebukuro. This was their city. And as such, Ichiro did what he could to help people out. With fair compensation provided of course. Jiro and Saburo however were just kids. Both would leap if their big brother told them to, but right now, he did want them to focus a little more on their studies than helping him. He wanted to see them both graduate, and more than that, he wanted to see Saburo at least apply for and get accepted into a good high school. With his grades, Saburo practically had the pick of any high school in Tokyo. And Jiro, well...

His phone ringing is what shook the eldest Yamada from his thoughts, and when he glanced down at the caller ID, color him shocked! He quickly answered. "Jakurai-san! It's been ages since I've heard from you!" True, they spoke at the DRBs, but not much outside of them like this. "What can I do for you?" he questioned, his voice light and respectful. Since it was Jinguji Jakurai, any job the good doctor had he'd see to immediately.

“Hmph... like I care about that cutesy stuff...” Dice put his nose in an up-tilt toward the sky. “Oi, first you’re at each other’s throats now you’re fighting over compliments??” Dice sighed.

“Ah, Ichiro,” Jakurai smiled speaking through the phone as he reached his floor on the elevator. He left and made his way outside. “If you have a moment, I have something I need to speak with you about...”

He waited for an answer before continuing, “I’m investigating something very peculiar that... one of my patients have been taking medicinally. However, with the tests I’ve already run I’m still coming out with no ground-solid results on what the makeup of it is, which is something I must investigate. I started to look into a device that’s still in its experimental stages that can scan and identify the components on a molecular level... though right now that’s not an option from where I stand. I know you know a number of folks in your area who might be able to help me find the source of this medicine, or help me investigate it further by running experiments with equipment I can’t get my hands on at work. I will most likely be contacting Doppo, too, to see what sort of equipment his boss’s company offers further than ordinary office equipment. This might also be of help.”

The man moved his long, purple hair out of the way and over his shoulder. He made his way over to his car, switching the call over to the speakers of his car instead. He pulled out of his parking spot and began driving.
