Here’s an Outline for my Sonic Boom AU!

This’ll hopefully just make things more accessible

First Part

(Everything I’ve ever drawn for this is under #AU, if you want an overview of all the parts I would just go to #AUcomic in the tags)

((There is also a longgg ass list after the cut if you prefer that way))

Quick rundown on what this AU is real quick: so basically this is set 2 years in the future after the end of season 2, Shadow eventually becomes a part of team Sonic, and Rouge and Blaze exist in this universe. it also might be important to mention there’s not really an overarching plot, just shenanigans

There are a few important events though, but I have more detailed explanations of those in the parts themselves

Oh yeah, did I forget to mention this is basically a sonadow fic? oops. so yeah if that’s not your cup of tea here’s your warning. also very much slow burn, pining, mutual pining, the works (honorable mention background blazamy)

This is kind of a comic but also not? Some are fully fledged comics with dialogue and panels, some are just drawings/sketchpages

So the parts just put them in chronological order, you don’t have to read them in any particular order if you don’t want to

Writer Questions

@laineybug04 tagged me to answer these questions, so here goes nothing!

🌓fluff or angst? - I try to balance them out ultimately but... much of what I like turns out to be angst, even if I don't personally perceive it to be angst XD I like introspective, existential conversations and concepts, and unfortunately, a lot of people... view them as really sad. Maybe they actually are and I just don't realize it.

🧒favorite character to write? - I like to write from the perspective of any character I think truly is trying in their heart of hearts, even if they mess up… often XD Maybe because they mess up often. Existence is hard.

💕favorite ship to write? - I like ships that can play into both the worst and the best of both people involved, and a lot of the ships that I do enjoy I like because I appreciate the dynamics of respect and consent that go into them. Like- I like the ships that take WORK, if that makes sense.

📚favorite fandom for write for? - Lol, Sonic.

🍑do you/would you write smut? - Oh boy. Um… You know, I’m not sure. I don’t write smut, but I don’t know if I’d go into writing it either. I think it would be a fun challenge. Some of the best porn-with-plot pieces I’ve read have a lot to do with communication, healthy boundaries, respect, and genuine adoration/care, which are all the things I like writing anyway so… We’ll settle for ‘I’m not sure.’

🥰fave fic you’ve written?- Probably ‘His King, Crown, and Country’, which is a sonadow piece in SatBK universe but… I enjoy writing Shadow from the perspective of being horribly in love, and that’s the only time I’ve had a chance to do so. Also, I love poetic prose. They make me so happy. Incidentally, that was the first fanfiction piece that I ever showed my partner, and it was really sweet (I hid around a corner to watch them read it because I was too shy and nervous for them to read it with me in the room… you know… like a god damn child) so there’s that.

🏆fic youre most proud of? - Hanging On to Tomorrow. I’m hellbent to finish it.

💎fave trope to write? - Gosh… I don’t know the names of tropes really well, but I do like Two Idiots in Love and they Don’t Realize it/Don’t Realize the Other Person Likes Them Too

🌍fave type of au to write?- I don’t write a lot of AUs… but I do imagine characters in a lot of the classic literature that I end up reading.

🍄how do you get yourself in the mood to write?- I don’t sleep for like, a day or two. Instead, I stay up and just think and think and think and think and think. Physical exertion also helps. I have made it a habit to walk for at least 3km if not 9 ever day, and I think best when I walk.

💡what inspires your fic ideas?- Usually a single scene that comes to mind. Just… fully formed. With Hanging On to Tomorrow, it was actually the first chapter. It was suppose to be a one shot… and then… it just wasn’t, because more single scene ideas came to mind and I realized they were all connected, and just… well….yeah

😎canonverse or au?- Can I pick an AU where the characters are actually written well by the franchise/company they belong to or-?

📒any fics planned?- Let me finish Hanging On to Tomorrow and then we’ll talk. I do have three one-shots that are done/almost done that I just want looked over before I post… Then I’ll properly get on with ch11 of that.

WIP tag game!

Tagged by @elderbwrry. You! I saw this notification and was all, “yeah, okay, I’ll answer some weird questions about my WIPs, should be fun...”

AND THEN IT WAS ABOUT TITLES!!!

You have no idea the disaster you’ve wrought for me, tagging me in this. I tag all of my fandom WIPs with [Character A] x [Character B, C, etc], a hyphen, and then a stupid title name that strikes me. Sometimes it stays, sometimes it changes, but regardless, NOW I GOTTA OUT ALL MY SHIPS

HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME???

So you’re not gonna get titles. You’re gonna get my weird crazy sum-ups of what they are and how I remember them in my head. And it’s gonna be both fandom stuff and original stuff that was inspired by fandom stuff and got too big.

Here they are:

- Teen Titans, but it’s all kinds of gender bent and all about queer history and figuring out who you wanna be both as a person and as a hero.

- Invader Zim meets the Little Mermaid, monosex alien race member with sharp teeth and too many bio-tech enhancements to count and whom like’s she/her when she discovers earth pronouns and an aromantic but hyper-sexual cyrptid-obsessed NASA college student fall in love like garbage and save the universe. Alternate history where the US has its shit together, set near the Allan Telescope Array in California, because I miss going to visit my grandparents down there.

- Vampire hunter with Von Willibrands bleeding disorder and Alucard dhampire offspring of Dracula hunt down bad vampires together and question what makes a monster together while being scary and incredibly sapphic. Heavy Hellsing and Castlevania vibes (love both of those Alucards).

- Short story for an anthology that seems like a scary stalking story of a well-dressed Indian woman in Britain being chased through the streets at night by a bunch of dudes, until she turns out to be a vampire and eats them all. Then she meets up with her girlfriend for a late night dinner and declines to order anything because “she’s already eaten.” (this one’s due at the end of the month, so I better get typing)

- Other short story for an erotica anthology that has to include a sex scene, horror vibes, and a musical instrument (big ask for only 3-5K, but I’ll make it work!). Gonna have a hot museum curator seducing a book-ish scholar while telling her the myth of how Athena turned one of Medusa’s bones into a precious flute. I loved that myth growing up, and I’m looking forward to giving it some Hannibal vibes--while also getting to fulfill my life long dream of giving “fingering” a double entendre.

- Persona 5 Phantom Thieves in a polycule, Ryuji figures out what to do with his fucking life while getting seduced by Akira and Makoto figures out the police are bad while dating Ann. Yusuke and Futaba are the platonic life partners we all need to see in the world, and Haru is a very romantic asexual bean who loves how excited everyone gets. Akira is an ethical slut, and we love him.

- Lupin gang phantom thieves in a polycule (Fujiko offscreen) x 5. I have like five of these and they’re all different, and my spouse loves these goons, so I have a lot of them to write. We love this series from its 1970s origins all the way up through Season 5 and Lupin III: The First.

- Sonadow coffee shop vampire novelist AU. (ask me questions, it’s all too ridiculous to include here, it needs its own post/posts)

- Sonic Girls Blazamy thing where I get to sideline all the boys and just hang out with Amy, Blaze, Rouge, and Cream. Omega can come too. I haven’t played Riders and know nothing about Wave. It also wouldn’t be comics or Boom set because I’d get to distracted by how adorable Tangle and Whisper are together, I don’t wanna deal with the war they introduced in Forces, and in the Boom universe I kinda ship Amy with Sticks. But seeing Rouge play nice with other girls, seeing Cream be competant with all the skills she’s learned from Uncle Sonic, Uncle Shadow, and Aunt Rouge? Having Amy’s power inhibitors come off use the Chaos Emeralds alongside Blaze and her Sol Emeralds, and then kiss?! YES PLEASE!

- I’m sure I’ll get around to a ThanZagMeg threesome fic eventually, because Hades Game just gave me all the good poly feels for these three and ambushed me with the in-game threesome on Valentine’s Day of all days.

Sonic and Co Tag Explanations

Next up might as well be a batch of Canon Sonic Muses. I’m not going to include my Avatar (Amato), Infinite (Loup) or Phantom Ruby (Ghost) in this post as they deserve their own post. This will have Sonic, Knuckles and Shadow and my various configurations of shipping them~

~~I Know With Some Luck That I'll Make it Through~~ Sonic the Hedgehog - Escape from the City

Sonic is the only one out of these three whom didn’t get his Theme Song as his Lyric. I just... I dunno I associate this song way harder with Sonic than any of the theme songs he got? A lot of his theme songs really focus on a part of his character I kind of... played in a different way. He cares a lot about the people around him and not repeating mistakes from the past if he can avoid it. He keeps up a front of being just goofy and carefree. So I feel like Escape from the City is a better balance of “yeah stuff isn’t going right but I’m sure with a little luck and my friends I’ll get by like I always have!”

~~The Blood of my Ancestors Flows Inside Me~~ Knuckles the Echidna - Unknown from M.E.

Knuckles is way more straight forward. He’s pretty proud of his heritage, though he doesn’t ignore the fact they did some stuff wrong and works to make up for it. My Knuckles is working really hard to tame his temper after learning from Tikal that the Echidna’s had been the source of Chaos rage. He doesn’t want to let his anger take him over like that.

~~It's Never Over Just Another Day~~ Shadow the Hedgehog - All Hail Shadow

So unpopular opinion I kind of like All Hail Shadow? Sure a lot of the lyrics might not be spot on for him anymore but back when his game came out it was a bop and nostalgia is a powerful drug. So like yeah I love this song and it’s a bop and Shadow definitely views his life as a never ending series of events.

My Sonic is kinda depressed... Shadow is kind of depressed... they are catching each other.

Sonic is still depressed but this time he tries really hard not to get Knuckles wrapped up in his problems. Knuckles is not having that and will straight carry Sonic if he has to.

Okay so like... Just assume all these songs are sad because Sonic is sad and his boyfriends are wonderful and love him and help him get what he needs to heal!

Shadow and Knuckles have a way more physical relationship. Not necessarily sexual but like... They both get a lot of comfort from touch and rough housing. Where Sonic and Shadow get more thrills from trying to outrun each other.

Hi, this is a bit lengthy - but first, thank you for checking out this post! It means a lot to me and I hope we can interact! <3

1. Themes might vary with this blog. It’ll typically be SFW, but there will likely be dark themes, violence and swearing. Sonic doesn’t swear (though Skynic does), but the people he interacts with might.

Things will be tagged! I’ll try my best, anyways. If you want something in particular tagged, please let me know. The format I use for tagging is, for example, tw: swearing.

I don’t have any triggers but I do ask you tag all of your NSFW content.

That said, I won’t do anything NSFW - gore is okay, though.

I’m of age.

2. I’m a little selective, so I might be a pretty picky when it comes to who I interact with. I’ll interact with anyone, including canon, AU, Crossover, and original characters - as long as they’re literate/write para.

If it’s a crossover, I have to know the fandom and be at least a little bit confident with it. This is so I’m able to work with you, our thread and have muse for it.

No godmodding or Mary-Sues, please.

3. Please don’t rush me for starters or responses.

I have a lot of blogs. Pretty much an understatement - so I’m pretty busy with stuff, and it’s all dependent on what muse I have. Motivation and life also exist.

Please note the mun deals with anxiety and depression - this might affect how frequently she roleplays.

Chances are, I’ve probably has seen that bit of interactivity and just haven’t gotten around to responding yet.

Additionally, if I don’t end up responding to an ask or something, the case might just be I don’t have the muse for it, or I’m not interested in the thread. Apologies!

4. Shippings? Heck yeah, I’m shipping trash! My mains are SonAmy, Sonally, Sonaze, and Sonadow - but as long as they’re of similar age, have chemistry and development, I’m down for any ships you might have for my blue son.

If I don’t happen to be interested, don’t force anything on my character.

I do not ship incestuous ships. Do NOT follow/interact if you do.

The ship has to have chemistry; I’m generally shipping trash, but if they don’t click, they don’t click, sorry.

Ships like Sonic x Tails won’t be happening on this blog, sorry.

5. I’m not doing any sexual content on this blog - and that includes mature content and fetishes. It makes me uncomfortable. So please don’t ask.

6. About reblogs…

I am not a meme source, and reblogs clog up my activity. Please reblog any memes you find on this blog from their source. The exception to this rule is if there is no source; go ahead.

I don’t feel comfortable with Personals reblogging my IC posts, so please don’t do that.

A few times is fine, as it happens, but repeatedly breaking these rules will result in me soft blocking you.

I write my replies as detailed as I can muster.

Short responses (such as one-liners) in more serious threads where I’ve written a decent deal can instantly kill my muse for that thread.

Whilst I’d prefer for partners to at least somewhat match my length, it’s entirely up to you - just try your best and make sure you give me enough to work with. ♡

If my muse happens to go nuts out of nowhere - like, overboard - don’t stress too much about matching him.

If para roleplays are not your forte at all, it’s not recommended you roleplay with me seriously. Anything else outside that is fine, though - we can still have fun outside of proper threads.

8. Threads typically happen naturally with me, but if you’re looking for interaction opportunities, you’re free to hit me up with any starter meme prompts I reblog.

You’re free to hit up any starter calls I might put up.

I reblogged a starter meme? Send something! If I’m interested, I’ll answer it!

There will ALWAYS be a default verse for Sonic I tend to go for - but if you have a particular one in mind, please let me know! Usually I’m excited to use them.

If you want to turn an ask into a thread, go ahead!

I may not roleplay with every starter I am given - I’ll do a ‘background check’ if you’re a new blog on the block. If I don’t feel your writing style/length matches mine, I might not respond. Apologies. ;__;

In that sense, I don’t recommend writing starters for me unless we’ve discussed something. I don’t like to leave anyone hanging.

IMs are open to mutuals, if you want to do any in-depth plotting.
