Centaur no Nayami - A Centaur's Life
a bizzare yet charming slice of life series from years ago where evolution went a bit differently.
in this world instead of 4 limbs creatures instead went 6 limbs, starting from early fish, to early amphibians, and eventually to the many races/classes of this world's modern day.
due to the variety racism plays a factor and even in the start of the show race laws a brought up, but it never fully overshadows the day to day lives of our cast.
We have a pretty simple cast;
Himeno the Centaur - Cute, Kind, Sweet, but isn't always the smartest or most graceful, but she will put others first and she is VERY skilled with a bow.
Nozomi the "Imp" (the wings and tail you normally see on imps, devils, etc. in other media) - Small, sporty, not good in academics, really protective of Hime and constantly teases Kyuoko.
Kyuoko the "Saytr" - The academic brains of the trio and has low stats in anything physical.
Manami the Angel - Class President, strives to accel and tries to get her classmates to do the same, helps her widowed father raise her 4 younger siblings (triplets in kindergarden and a toddler).
Suu-Chan the Antartican (race of snake people from Antartica that the rest of the world is still trying to get used to) - Quetzalcoatl Sassassul is a good girl trying to learn about the outside world.
This show is weird, but it has it's charms.
plus it has given me a few good images.
Minami's daily struggles with energetic triplets.
occasional yuri
and even the occasional terror moments in the manga
In short, give this series a chance if you can.
I don't know it's current status, but I hope you enjoy what you see if you take a look.

Show recommendation聽
A show called A Centaur's Life came to my attention a few days ago, and even though it's only twelve episodes I can't help but love how much thought clearly went into the worldbuilding. It won't be everyone's cup of tea, and the fact that I watched the dub probably makes me a heretic in some parts of the internet, but give it a shot if you have the time. If you have even MORE time, feel free to write some fan fiction continuing the worldbuilding from the show...

This one threw me. Sweetie and I had to give it a try because I quite like centaurs. Show's called A Centaur's Life. It's a trip. See, it lulls you in by making you think it's a cute slice of life about a world with centaurs and catgirls and a snake girl who's the new foreign student. Tolerance, yay. But every now and then it slips in something kinda odd. A jab here and there that shows a lot of resentment about forced tolerance in this world. Borders on making you wonder if this is gonna break into some ultra right-wing cancel culture bitchfest but stays a fair criticism of where social justice movements overreach sometimes. Mostly it's just a really oddly detailed slice of life where we answer questions like how clothes are designed for kitty tails and how a centaur uses a toilet...
Then you randomly get an episode with a Holocaust flashback or the frog man who goes on big speeches about civil rights activism before returning home to his people living like FARC or some other South American rebel faction. Then you're right back to cute centaur girl going about her cute centaur girl life. The Nazi one broke my damn brain because it wasn't like, Angelfolk oppressing Centaurs no. It was AU Nazi Germany I guess oppressing a cornucopia of different species of Jewish, queer, disabled, etc.
This shit's awesome and I really need to finish the manga.
