Steven
Steven's daughter is 21 years old and isn't exactly a mature woman. He doesn't really mind it much but does find it to be a bit tiring. She is immature occasionally because of her mindset being that of a teenage girl. Steven doesn't blame her for still acting like a teenager. Adult life and mindset don't come and perhaps she wants to enjoy youth before she hits 25/30. While he acts like he wants his daughter to grow up, he's secretly sad about watching her grow up and eventually having a life of her own.
She's a riot. She's mostly nothing like her father because of her childish attitude and how reckless she is. She's also rebellious towards Steven because she finds him a tad too strict. She's been constantly protected by Steven and has never understood why he acts that way. Steven gets annoyed whenever his daughter goes out to do her things without notice and sasses him about it. Hellsalem's Lot is a constantly dangerous place and someone can easily hurt her or even kill her. The thoughts of his daughter in danger constantly send him to the edge.
There's absolutely no doubt Steven loves his daughter despite her rebellious attitude towards him. He just gets frustrated with her because he knows she's not exactly mature enough to make decisions of her own. In events she goes out on her own, Steven never strays far from her. He's always watching over her discreetly. If she's in immediate danger, Steven is kicking ass on sight. He refuses to let anyone get near and if they tried, they'd be frozen to near death.
The daughter really adores Steven. She thinks so highly of him and calls him the best dad ever. Even when he's such a pain in her butt. That said, she hates to admit she's wrong to his face and every time she does that, she's always shocked to be told that her dad's always got her back no matter how frustrated he is with her. It leaves her in an emotional state and tears. She said she wouldn't have it any other way.
Steven finds his daughter cute whenever she's rambling about her day. He's happy she's living a normal life unlike him (I mean, dude... You have a daughter now, that's domesticated life). The most possibly abnormal thing she would have is inheriting Esmeralda Blood Freeze. But let's say she doesn't have that. Steven's daughter is a typical daughter who wants to do her things without getting smothered by her father's protection constantly though she learns to appreciate it because she's got an awesome dad who'd do anything for her.
Let's say she has Esmeralda Blood Freeze. Steven would totally train her how to use it for self-defense. To be honest, she masters the ability so well that Steven doesn't have much to worry about. He's really happy she can defend herself from enemies though being the protective dad he is, he'll still be watching over her. He knows she isn't as skilled like him and by default, he's stronger than her. And if there were bigger guys to threaten her, he'd be there to give them a world of pain via ice.
Steven and his daughter get along well with a few bumps here and there. Steven wants her to grow up but also wants to spend as much time with her before she grows up to be an independent woman. As mentioned before, his heart hurts at the thought of his kid growing up and then eventually moving out of his nest. She is the most important person to Steven and would do anything for her to make her happy. <3
Bonuses: Steven has a photo of his daughter in his wallet. He occasionally pulls it out and smiles at it. He'll even get texts from her and it makes his heart melt. Even if some of her texts annoy him, he always enjoys hearing from her. Likewise, the daughter has a photo of her dad in hers. She's the type of woman to brag about her dad and isn't afraid of showing him off to her friends. <3

Drama Rating: 9/10
This drama is about two teenagers who had to encounter unfortunate events in their lives that would forever scar them and give them a void in their hearts that only both of them can fill in.
At the age of 17, Woo Seo Ri is a talented violinist while Gong Woo Jin is a budding painter. In their own little worlds they live parallel lives watching each other from afar until one day, they are able to meet by pure coincidence. Unfortunately on that same day an accident occurs that robs years of Seo Ri’s life because she wakes up from a coma 13 years after. Woo Jin, on the other hand, seemed to be stuck in a loophole of guilt up to the age of 30 due to a huge misunderstanding. Thinking that he had caused the death of his first love, he lived a life opposite of who he truly is – never getting involved in other people’s lives ever again. Fate brought them together once more not knowing who each other truly is. They started to live under one roof and slowly rediscover themselves through the help of each other and the people around them.
Intermission and crescendo.
These are the two words that got stuck in my mind while I watched this drama. I love the fact that they used these words to interpret an event and describe the character’s life, that’s how both words became very meaningful. I like how Seo Ri was able to think positively despite all the hurdles she faced with the mindset that her life was simply put on hold like an intermission during a concert and that her crescendo finally came to let her resume her life performance. Simply thinking about it sends tiny tingly feels all over me. Aside her character being a roller coaster ride with all the ups and downs, there’s one set back that I didn’t like about and that was her decision making. She changes her mind during critical times but given that she’s still in the state of being a 17 year old instead that of a 30 year old woman, she’s bound to make a lot of mistakes and learn from them. Shin Hye Sun as Seo Ri, was able to portray her character thoroughly and stay true to her supposedly age and experiences, as if everything simply happened yesterday after she got into an accident. Her emotional turmoil upon finding out devastating things and coming out from depression to move forward was another plus props for her. Seo Ri’s life may be far fetched from reality but she’s a character that I’ll keep dear in my heart. Her counter part Gong Woo Jin, the guy who has been cold, aloof and indignant to people is the total opposite of Seo Ri. He’s a man who has been scarred for life and unable to let go that’s why his mental state was in total shambles forgetting that he had a lot of people caring for him. I’m just glad that the way Seo Ri and Woo Jin met again didn’t seem forced but it was as natural as they have met during the first time. The fact that Seo Ri became his healing person all throughout their time together was a plus. What I like about him is the way he changed from being a bubbly person to being anti-social then back again. When he was being a loner, he has these pair of head set which is his way to close off himself from people who are trying to approach him. He had different antics on how not to care about people because he thought that the more he care, the more others may get hurt and at the same time it would cause him yet another unbearable pain. So basically being with Seo Ri was a contradiction to his own belief because she was simply able to turn his life upside down. Woo Jin was able to open up because of her and slowly revert to the same person he was before. Kang Sejong nailed this character all throughout. I’m glad that his acting is consistent and that he’s getting better as time goes on as well. Other characters worth mentioning are the following: Jennifer – I like her not just because of her character but because of the actress who portrayed her. Ye Ji Won is a veteran actress who usually has a supporting role but she always always brings light to her character and co-stars. I realized that her role as Jennifer the house keeper, was very essential in the drama. She made everything into a full circle. It felt like she was the glue that held everyone together. The fact that she also cooks mountain of food for everyone, is a quirk that she has. It’s as if she lives to feed other people. Jennifer also loves to quote books since she had spent most of her time reading which will be showed in the drama as to why she does it and how she became who she was. Yoo Chan – the household teenager and the nephew of Woo Jin. When he was younger he adored Woo Jin with all his heart and vice versa. They looked so cute together during their younger years but now that both are older, he got taller than Woo Jin and is actually proud of it. Heh. The thing that makes Chan lovable is that he’s so energetic, understanding and supportive to the people around him. He may be clueless or a klutz at times but once he understood the situation, he’s able to get to a meaningful conclusion for himself and the people he loves. Deok Gu and Hae Bum – These two are Chan’s best friends and teammates in the rowing team. They may be a bit of a throw in for the whole drama but they make things more bubbly. They also help out Chan a lot and makes his character more significant than it is. I like both of them because they seem to uplift the scene whenever I see them eating and joking inside the house or around Chan.
All in all I love this drama to bits and would probably re-watch it again soon. The main cast and supporting actors were great, I wouldn’t want anyone else to take on their roles. Cinematography wise it was alright, nothing much stunning to look at since most scenes are taken in doors or around the city and it wasn’t much artistic to look at. The OST gave me more of a classical vibe since that’s what Seo Ri was good at, but there’re some songs that did caught up to me specially during the funny moments.

It’s kind of sad that I wasn’t able to follow through with this drama during it’s airtime because I read bad reviews about it and the summary I read somewhere didn’t sound appealing at all. Hopefully my version would make a lot of people more interested in it. Nonetheless, even though I missed the actual air date, I was able to binge watch it in 4 days. I was trying to finish it in 3 but since I’m a pregnant mom with a toddler to take care of, I only have a couple of hours to spare when the baby is asleep. It was actually hard to put it on hold and resume watching because each episode is chock-full of heartwarming details that I had a hard time restraining myself from watching. I’m recommending this to those who are into dramas with a lot of uplifting moments and to those who hasn’t exactly moved on from their teenage years.

30 But 17 (Korean Drama 2018) Drama Rating: 9/10 This drama is about two teenagers who had to encounter unfortunate events in their lives that would forever scar them and give them a void in their hearts that only both of them can fill in.

In regards to my previous post, 2NE1 will always have a special place in my heart. Words don’t actually describe how much they mean to me but I’m gonna give it a damn good go!!
These girls are what got me into Kpop, the reason behind finding them is extremely odd and probably the weirdest way of finding out about Kpop but... it’s what brought me here so I’ll hold onto that. Back when I was 12, we had a house fire in the middle of the night, one which could have killed us if we hadn’t been aware of it just seconds later and since then I’ve suffered with multiple hardships. Depression, severe OCD, PTSD, eating disorders and panic attacks. My anxiety is constantly on full alert but I have learnt to deal with it. Not a day goes by where I don’t think about this traumatic event which essentially ruined my life. 2NE1 were the ones who helped me through it when I needed help the most. In my teenage years, I struggled A LOT. I didn’t have the correct mindset and I didn’t know how to cope with everything that was happening to me. Now I’m an adult, while I do still struggle on a daily basis, I feel I have more control over the situation and I’m able to take care of myself better with coping strategies.
Long story short as to how I found them, curiosity got the best of me one night (despite it being years after the incident) and I ended up typing ‘fire’ into youtube, I don’t know what I was planning to achieve or what I was looking for. I just had this morbid curiosity to search for it. I don’t know if it was to see how people coped after such a thing or for a documentary or even something to make it seem less scary but 2NE1′s fire popped up. Now I’m a dancer and the immediate bright colours and what looked like to be the still of a dance routine drew me in straight away. I got 30 seconds into it and I was hooked. They had only debuted for about 3 months at this point so unfortunately I wasn’t there from the very beginning in May but I was there from pretty much the starting point. (Almost).
I remembering spending the entire night searching for them, watching every single video there was at that point and falling in love with them. I went to school the next day and gushed about them to everybody. At first people did the whole “you can’t understand them though” and it angered me but the more I played them, the months that went by until I knew everything about them, the majority of my year respected and knew of 2NE1 because of me. They were supportive and people would always do the fire ‘eh eh eh eh eh’ dance. It made me happy to know that these girls had such a positive impact on everybody even if they didn’t understand why I personally liked them so much. As the years went on, I found myself taking solace in 2NE1 TV. I’ve watched all of it about 40 times over. I know it back to front, off by heart. It was the thing to calm me when I was upset. They calmed me when I was down. They were there for me through their music, performances, interviews and dorky moments even if it wasn’t physical.
I have every single song they have ever recorded on my iPod and I know them all. From covers to all their live concerts to live performances on music bank, inkigayo, etc. The numerous versions of each song also such as ‘hate you’s ‘fuck you’. They’ve been my world for 9 years and even if they’ve gone on their separate ways now, they continue to be my world. I follow and support each member continuously, I will NEVER leave them behind. My biggest dream was to go to a concert but unfortunately I never got the chance to.
I have all their albums and singles!! My favourite album is 2NE1 1st Live Concert (Nolza!) It’s so feel good, you can hear them talking to the audience in the audio and they seem so upbeat and happy. You can feel the electric atmosphere through your speakers and just hearing them so excited and happy is honestly the best thing a fan could ever hear. My favourite performance in the world would have to be the MAMA 2011 performance. That stage was mind blowing and while others HAVE topped it, I do agree, there is just something really special about that performance to me. It’s ingrained in my heart and it just sums up 2NE1 for me. I would always show that stage to people first if I was introducing them to these babies. Last but not least, my favourite song!! ‘Love Hurts’ from their 1st full album, ‘To Anyone’, I love it so much, I adore the vocals, the melody, everything. I heard it for the first time and fell in love and it’s been my favourite ever since.
Now, this is something I definitely have to touch up on. I do NOT have a bias. They’re the only group where it’s impossible. They all mean so much to me and it’s genuinely like you’re forcing me to pick through my children. Instead, I will tell you my favourite aspects of each girl and perhaps write a little note to each of them even though I know it’ll never reach them.
Gong Minji, my lil’ minki. You’ve been through so much. Leaving the group was probably one of the hardest decisions you ever had to make but please don’t worry. We don’t blame you, we could never hate you and we will support you no matter what. You’re album is incredible, I bought it straight away and your vocals are perfect as always. As a dancer you always inspired me to push myself that little bit more. You always made me believe in myself that I could be better with more practice. You continuously showed me that being the youngest didn’t mean you had less experience or talent. You worked hard for every single goal and you achieved. I wish I could come and experience a dance lesson from your studio, it’d be a dream of mine. I love you, maknae! You’re strong, courageous and beautiful.
Sandara Park, oh how I miss your antics Tokki!! Well, I still see them on instagram and other places but seeing them daily on musics shows or 2NE1 TV, I miss them. You never failed to make me laugh, you were the energy, the vitamin, the one who never aged! Or aged backwards so to speak. Everything you have ever done, you’ve worked hard. You always expressed your worry about not being as ‘talented’ as the other girls but you are. Your voice is beautiful and you worked hard on your fitness and dancing, don’t ever underestimate that! Plus, your acting always blew me away--you never gave up even if you struggled. When you bought your guitar and practised so hard until your fingers almost bled, I was so proud of you. You always fight for what you believe in and that’s a strength I’ll never possess. I love you, sweet angel!
Park Bom, the actual comedian. You had me in stitches on a daily basis and now I’m lucky to get a small glimpse of you on instagram. I long for the day I see that beautiful smile on your face again. You’ve had a shit four years but you’re slowly coming back stronger than ever and words don’t describe how proud we are of you. You stand up to the haters, you continue to be yourself and I have so much respect for you. Nobody will ever take that strength away. We got your back, beautiful girl. I look forward to hearing your new work, I’m so happy you haven’t given up singing. Your unique voice gives me chills every time I hear it and ‘You and I’ will always be the one song which gives me goosebumps. We’re all waiting for you but take your time! I love you, moomin!
Lee Chaerin, what people see as a fierce, powerful woman on stage (which you are) don’t realise just how soft and wonderful you are. CL will always be an alter ego I aspire to be like but Chae, you’re the dorkiest little bubble of sunshine in the world and I WISH more people would see that side of you. You became unconfident without make up around 2011-2012 and that broke my heart because you’re so beautiful inside and out. Never be afraid to show your true self again, you’re so talented and the love and care you have for your members despite the shit you have gone through and the hate, it’s one of the strongest bonds I have ever come across in my life. Keep strong, lil one! I know you act tough but real fans know the real you. I love you, rilakkuma.
I’m gonna wrap this up because it’s getting stupidly long but there were two days that broke me being on such a long journey with these girls. The day Minzy left the group and the day they officially disbanded. They’ve been through hell and back and even to this day, I STILL can’t listen to ‘Goodbye’ fully. I’ve only ever listened to it once and it’s on my iPod but I have to skip it. The second they start singing, I feel the pain in my chest. I just can’t bring myself to do so. I don’t want to talk about their disbandment much because it’ll bring back a lot of negative emotions and this is supposed to be a positive post. Just know that it still hurts me to this day and nobody will EVER replace them. They will always be my girls, my favourite group and the best thing that ever happened music wise for me.
Thank you if you managed to read all this! I would LOVE to hear your guys stories! ♥

A Violently Inefficient Culture
After killing two people and also wounding at least 5 others, a 24-year-old suspected serial bomb killer in Texas is currently dead, having actually eliminated himself yesterday while being sought by authorities. Also yesterday, police shot and also killed a 17-year-old Maryland student that had actually evidently shot and also wounded two students. The intentions are still unidentified. But one thing is for certain: These dysfunctional acts of violence are accompanying raising consistency here in the United States.Of program, that’s not all.According to an article in the Huffington Blog post, “The suicide prices for
teenage children and also girls have actually been gradually rising since 2007, according to a new record from the United States Centers of Condition Control and also Avoidance. The suicide rate for ladies 15 to 19 increased from 2007 to 2015, when it reached its highest point in 40 years, inning accordance with the CDC. The self-destruction rate for kids ages 15 to 19 enhanced by 30 percent over the exact same time period.”A web site entitled The Recuperation Village states that “68 percent of 12th have actually tried alcohol; 37.4 %of 12th consumed in the last month; 23.5 %of 10th consumed alcohol in the last month; 35.1% of 12th graders have actually smoked pot in the previous year; 16.6 %of 10th have actually smoked pot in the last One Month; which nearly a quarter of American high schoolers make use of a minimum of one sort of illicit medication. “Just what provides? Why is there so much ingestion of mind-altering compounds therefore much fierce dysfunctionality occurring in what claims to be a cost-free culture? Wouldn’t you think that individuals would certainly relish living in a complimentary society, offered the wide variety of alternative ways to pursue happiness? Here’s my diagnosis for the health issues that infuses the American body politic: America isn’t totally free in all, and also the factor that there is so much terrible dysfunctionality and mind-altering substance abuse going on is because individuals are living an incorrect reality, a fact that has been inculcated into their minds that this truly is” freedom.”I’m no psychologist but I understand enough about psychology to recognize that living an incorrect reality or a life of the lie is not mosting likely to bring about positive results. Rather, it is most likely to cause
deep psychoses.I can conveniently envision a young adult stating to himself,”So, this is freedom? This is the most effective there can be? No, thank you. I’m looking into.”Currently, picture rather that a young person recognizes the reality as well as has a grasp on fact– that he is not staying in a totally free society. Then, his way of thinking can transform. He could say, “Okay, I recognize why there is so much drug abuse and also violence in The U.S.A.. It’s since our nation isn’t really free and also since individuals have actually been indoctrinated because the initial quality right into wrongly believing they are totally free. Now that I have a grip on truth and also truth, I assume I’ll function to bring flexibility to our culture, which then might trigger substance abuse and violence to lessen. “That’s why libertarians are much healthier, psychologically talking, compared to statists. We have a grasp on fact. We understand the truth. We understand that the welfare-warfare state way of life under which we live is the reverse of freedom. Hence,
all the strange, corrupt results of this lifestyle do not shock us. For us, they merely materialize cause and effect. Considering that a welfare-warfare state is the reverse of flexibility, we libertarians aim to bring flexibility to our culture by advocating a taking down of the welfare-warfare state means of life.Libertarians shock and scare people. That’s because when people are convinced that they are complimentary, they can’t comprehend just how libertarians can be committing their lives to bringing flexibility to America. For an individual that has been indoctrinated into believing he is cost-free, the suggestion of bringing freedom to our culture is unusual as well as frightening. Libertarianism, with its aim of establishing freedom in The U.S.A., is a straight challenge to the incorrect attitude of” flexibility”that is instilled into everyone from the time he hits the first grade in the government-approved institutions to which his moms and dads were compelled to send him.Consider, as an example, America’s forever battles. They are a wonderful example of the life of the lie as well as the life of incorrect truth. Consider all individuals that a lot say thanks to the soldiers for their service. When you inquire what “service “they are revealing gratefulness for, they don’t skip a beat:”The troops are protecting our rights as well as freedoms.”
That’s the mindset that is inculcated into everyone from the initial grade on up. It’s a way of thinking that undoubtedly sticks with lots of people when they maturate. It’s a mantra that is also pronounced in church pulpits throughout Sunday services. It’s an actual testimony to the power of main indoctrination. The trouble is that it’s a lie. It’s an incorrect fact. The troops are not safeguarding our flexibility in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, Africa, or anywhere else. That’s since no one over there is trying to remove our legal rights and liberty. Just how could the soldiers be securing our civil liberties as well as freedoms if nobody they are eliminating is aiming to remove our civil liberties and also freedom? But individuals with indoctrinated minds don’t intend to hear that.
It is frightening to them due to the fact that it endangers their way of thinking, their incorrect sight of the globe. They don’t want to hear us libertarians. They would rather maintain living the life of the lie, the life of a false truth, regardless of the unfavorable psychological consequences of doing so.Consider the terrorist blowback from UNITED STATE interventionism abroad. Just what is the very first thing that people with indoctrinated minds state in feedback to terrorist blowback? They say, “The terrorists( or Muslims)just despise us for our flexibility and worths. “When you mention to them that the terrorists(or Muslims )are merely retaliating versus Americans for UNITED STATE interventionism abroad, they snap, in some cases also terribly angry. They rail against us libertarians for being unpatriotic, also treasonous. They implicate us of” criticizing America “for anti-American terrorism. The last thing the indoctrinated minds wish to hear is that it’s not The U.S.A. that is the driving pressure of anti-American terrorism yet rather foreign interventionism at the hands of the federal government. In fact, that’s the core of the problem. Despite the fact that they will certainly never confess to themselves, individuals with indoctrinated minds have pertained to see the federal government as their god, one that can do no wrong. For them, their god is a triune god, one made up of three co-equal entities– the Pentagon, the CIA, and also the NSA.Thus, when their god does things abroad that generate the rage and also rage that materializes itself in terrorist blowback, they right away pertain to the protection of their god by saying that it’s not his fault. It’s all due to the fact that those foreigners dislike us for our liberty as well as values.Consider CIA main Gina Haspel. She managed a torture program and took part in the willful damage of videotaped proof of such torture. She’s currently been nominated to be the supervisor of the CIA. Does not that virtually claim it all? Here is an individual who ought to be in prison for going against the regulation.
Rather, she is being honored and also glorified. No question that throughout her confirmation hearings, she will be said thanks to for safeguarding our legal rights and also freedoms. And also among most of those that are opposing her election, the last thing you speak with them is any kind of recommendation that the CIA itself ought to be abolished. Instead, they limit them to simply requiring a new supervisor. Don’t bother that the CIA has participated in horribly bad activities since it was called right into existence in 1947, consisting of assassination, kidnapping, murder, MKULTRA, blockage of justice, secret hiring of Nazis, perjury, bribery, intrusions, coups, illegal security, deceptiveness, and also torment. The idea is that the CIA is important to our complimentary culture because it secures our civil liberties and liberties when it participates in its wicked activities. We simply require”better individuals”in public office. But God hasn’t developed an inconsistent cosmos. Excellent is never advanced with wickedness. When a federal government agency is taking part in wickedness, the government itself is taking part in evil. And a government that is engaged in wickedness is not progressing benefits. It is progressing evil.Consider all the anti-gun buzz after every mass capturing in America. Notification something exposing: Not one bachelor taking part in the buzz concerns also a peep of protest over the U.S. federal government’s being the biggest weapons supplier worldwide. Every year, the U.S. federal government and also its army of military-industrial-complex tools providers floods pro-U.S. tyrannical programs with weapons that the authoritarians then use versus their citizens in order to keep their grasp on power. Egypt comes to mind
. Yet, not a peep of protest from the anti-gun group. That’s due to the fact that the federal government, consisting of the Government, is their god. Moreover, barely anyone offers any type of thought to the possibility that the U.S. government’s 15-year, ongoing program of killing individuals abroad might simply be creating frame of minds of physical violence among Americans, both young as well as old, here in the house. That would clearly be aiming a finger of responsibility at their god, which suggests that many individuals are not about to entertain that possibility.Consider all the secret monitoring of Americans for “maintaining us safe” (from the opponents that the federal government produces with its international interventionism). We are all familiar with the NSA. However it goes a lot additionally compared to that. Bankers have actually been become snitches, required to report any type of “uncommon “deal of their clients. The reaction among statists? They are thankful that the government is maintaining them risk-free and”cost-free.
“The life of the lie. The life of a false reality.Consider public education, the state establishment where the brainwashing starts. Presence is mandated by law. If parents do not submit their children to state-approved indoctrination when they get to the age of 6, moms and dads are sent out to jail. When a pupil rebels against the coercion, indoctrination, regimentation, and consistency, he is identified with a mental disorder and also given drugs to make sure that he could obtain his mind”directly.”It’s all “liberty.” The kids just require the medications to understand and also value that. I can’t aid yet question the amount of those mass awesomes were provided those state-approved medicines when they were young.Every time I check out a young adult committing self-destruction, I state to myself: “I ask yourself if he would have devoted self-destruction if he had known the truth: that this isn’t really a complimentary culture yet rather a dysfunctional socialist, interventionist, imperialist welfare-warfare state culture that people
have been wrongly taught is’flexibility.'”
