life update

hi all, a little late but hope you all had a wonderful new year! writing a life update since i’ve been so inactive for a majority of 2022 and miss being on here!! idk if any of my mutuals wonder what i’ve been up to but wanted to share some highlights (and lowlights?) anyway:

in 2022: - furthered my career and started a new job doing program management - bought my first film camera and got into film photography as a hobby (feel free to follow my insta!  @ kelz.film) - traveled to tulum, mexico with fam - got covid on my birthday LMFAO - went to four be the sun tour stops with tumblr carats @joshuahong @amemericans @soonseokboos @mingyiu and got to do some sightseeing!! - met and hung out with some longtime mutuals that we've been following since adore u era for the first time! @cafewoozi @cinnamingyu - helped coordinate a cupsleeve event for svt's last NA stop - took pottery classes - decided to ask everyone around me to start spelling my name how it's originally spelled: kelly! LOLLLL - booked a last minute trip to see svt again at LA3C and lost my shit seeing leader line perform cheers - saw other artists like twice and thuy in concert - got laid off rip 

and so far from end of december - january: - flew to singapore to reunite with longtime CARAT BESTIE after not seeing each other for three years! @wonnhao - hung out with other mutuals! @hoshees @sunnie-dk​ @mvpgyu @vitaminniedk - took grad pics for @junhaou when she visited my hometown and got to show her around! 

i hope 2023 is kind to all of us! can't promise hanwooz will be back to making gifs even tho i miss it a lot. i don't have time nor energy to create content anymore like i used to but will probs pop in here and there to catch up on what other ppl are posting! i'm still semi-active on twitter (same handle @ hanwooz) aaaaa who's also hyped for the bss comeback AAAAAAAA

1. 🐸 I hope its okay that I tagged a fanfic but 31 Letters was so beautiful and so sad and lowkey i do be tearing up and usually angst doesn’t make me cry but your way with words and emotions is so captivating especially this line “It’s neither catchy nor memorable, but it’s real. It’s honest and it’s the realest thing Wonwoo’s written in a long while.” after WW wrote out his feelings from Mingyu’s second letter. It felt so authentic to me?? this fic is the anterograde tomorrow for carats LOLL also ngl i did cry towards the end, the phrases you used were so so touching, wow and the story flowed so well, i find one-shots really difficult because you have to fit the intro problem and solution all into a reasonable amount of words?? this was so beautiful

2. 🐸 OBLIGATORY JOSHUA SET. THis is true and all the things I love abt mr. hong, he’s so cheesy it hurts but he’s so charismatic on the stage, when I see him from predebut to now he’s grown so much, and like jun he’s naturally funny but also really cringy LMAOOO also the moments are so precious! you captured goofy hong so well

3. 🐸 I LOVE ROASTING JOSHUA and I love that Seventeen teases themselves LMAO. Once again I think i mentioned in kellie’s post that I love when gifmakers do a whole throwback to past events because it puts everything in context and when future baby carats see these type of sets they’re like “OMG whats the show Joshua appeared in” and they learn more about Seventeen :’’) ALSO i feel like Joshua loves to tease but can’t take the heat for too long LMAOO hes like me i start to get annoyed if i get teased for more than 5 min

4. 🐸 THESE SETS ARE SO NICE GEN OMG Like compiling all the videos and finding the moments are so hard for me, I can recall shows ive seen with shua but never remember the exact video unless its a video i’ve giffed LOL!! also hao on cyzj was such an iconic time he was so done with JUN LMAOOOOOOO but it was so cute, i love junhao so much :’’( ALSO BLACK HAIRED MINGHAO IS JUST EXCELLENT!!

5. 🐸 OMG A MEANIE SET AAAAAAA I love this so much!!! MEANIE VS WOOZI BUT I FEEL LIKE WOOZI WOULD ALWAYS WIN IF IT WERENT FOR CARATS!! also I really like when gifmakers gif moments from fancams, it really helps find precious moments like this one that are soso memorable :’)

I'm not sure if this is unpopular?? but I'm really proud of how Chan has been growing up lately and the fact that he has improved a lot!! I feel like Carats should recognise his talents more and not just on his dancing/rap but his singing as well! (I lowkey want Chan to get more lines for his singing). Not forgetting to mention he's becoming more and more handsome as days go on. I hope he gets more recognition in the future and we see Chan achieve more of his dreams.
