Like I’ve said before I’m currently rewatching The Sopranos, and now I’m on “Cold Stones” and I’m sorry this exchange 😭
Tony: “Let me tell you; if Carmela let me kick A.J.’s ass like my father kicked my ass; he might have grown up with some balls”.
Melfi: “Like you”
Tony: “Yeah, like me”
Melfi: “He might have also grown up taking out his anger at his father’s brutality towards him on others. He might have grown up with a desperate need to dominate and control”.
BAHAHAHAH YES MELFI GET HIS ASS

Movies/books that summarize me: I love movies that deal with the hell of life, when I was little I came back from a vacation with my parents, which I didn't enjoy very it much, and when we got back home my parents left "american beauty" on tv, it changed my life FOREVER, I was 12 yo and that movie summed up how I felt at that moment, very confused and sad. so here is a small list of movies that I carry in my heart: American Beauty, Cinema Paradiso, Autumm Sonata, Woman in The Dunes, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, 3-Iron, or just go to my letterboxd and see my liked movies 😬
Favorite song: too many songs
Favorite instrument: bass
Aesthetic: A.J Soprano smoking and wearing a Pantera t-shirt
Favorite author: I don't read much to have a favorite author but I really like Alejandra Pizarnik. I'm reading William Burroughs and I'm really enjoying it.

Initials with J
It's only me or when someone has initials of their first name and middle name almost all the time the second name start with J.
A.J.-Anthony John from 'The Sopranos'.
BJ-a dinosaur in 'Barney & Friends'.
CJ-Calista Jane Hook from 'Descendants'.
D.J.-Donna Jo Tanner from 'Full House'.
J.J.-probably Jason Jarvis Oliver from 'Power Rangers comics', he is Tommy and Kat's son.
MJ-Mary Jane Watson from 'Spider-Man'.
PJ-Patrick John Duncan from 'Good Luck Charlie'.
RJ-Robert James from 'Power Rangers Jungle Fury'.
T.J.-Theodore Jay Johnson from 'Power Rangers Turbo and Space'.
Here are some examples but my point is that most of the time when there is initials there is also a J, why this letter has to be in initials, can't someone have initials without J?

you really get the sense that tony thinks of himself as doomed or cursed throughout the entire series. when you examine a.j. and how he perceives his father, it’s clear that he doesn’t understand tony’s mixed messaging. he doesn’t want his children to be anything like him. a.j. looks up to his father and you see him repeating a lot of his actions, over and over. and you see him being confused, and pointing out that tony got into all the same kinds of trouble that he did when tony was a.j.’s age. but tony expresses just as much confusion when his son does something wrong. to tony, the reason he became the man that he is was due to exposure to criminality via his own father; tony thinks that he’s doing an excellent job hiding the unsavory parts of his profession from his family. when a.j. began having panic attacks like tony’s, tony was overcome by feelings of helplessness. the doom, the soprano curse he thinks he passed on to his son. but meadow, despite how often tony disapproves of her decisions, is still doing her own thing that has nothing to do with the ‘family business’ and that’s why tony ‘approves of’ her (or whatever you want to call it) while a.j. is left completely clueless as to why his father seems to hate him and everything he does; he’s left wondering why the hell his dad is so awful to him because tony and meadow butt heads all the time but a.j. thinks he’s nothing like meadow, so what are tony’s expectations? what’s the criteria? the truth is tht a.j. looks up to his dad too much and tony doesn’t know how to show him that he is not a role model. he loves his son and it’s because of his soprano curse that he would never be able to be a good father. that is tony’s problem.

It was 20 years ago today that John and Ken sent our Roving Philosophical Reporter, Amy Standen, to find out what A.J. Soprano discovered in the philosophy of Friedrich "Nitch" Nietzsche.

What is a googootz in Italian slang? “Googootz” is an Italian-American term that refers to a large, squash-like vegetable, cucuzza, but it has a more informal meaning as a term of affection. In the last episode of “The Sopranos,” for instance, Tony Soprano referred to his son, A.J., as “googootz.”
